I needed a dog bed on my screened porch for my 125 lb. dog. This works very well. The padding is quite thick, does not compress too much, and it is large enough that he can lie on it in many different positions. He must like it since he uses it every day when the weather is not hot. I have not washed the cover or filling yet, but I love the fact that even the filling can be cleaned. The filling needs to be rearranged after the bed is unpacked when it is received so that there is not a thin spot where the bed was folded for shipping.

My digger schnauzer loves this the most out of the three terriers. Soft and plump we ended up buying two. He's about 22 pounds and fits nicely on it. If this bed can hold up to him, I'm sure it will pass a normal, sweet sleeper no problem! Very sturdy but very comfy too.

This seemed liked the perfect bed to me. Thick, washable cover, comfy...but my dog would not go on it for some unknown reason. He had recently been skunked and the bed he had was not washable. (He still smells slightly 2 months later, even after multiple baths with Pantene and vinegar). His old bed had to be thrown out. It was really stinking up the place. I sent this bed back with no problem and tried a different one that was cheaper but had less padding and did not have the same quality as the Big Shrimpy. Doggie dearest wouldn't go on the new one either, but I kept it in frustration. Now he sleeps on the cheaper bed all the time. Dogs have a hard time accepting new things into their environment. I probably just should have kept the Big Shrimpy. He would have gotten used to it eventually and it's a much better quality bed than what I bought.

These are the filters that go with the U2 filter. They work great and are easy to change, being that you only change on filter each time that you clean the whole set up. My turtle hasn't killed the filter yet ,also she is super dirty and gross so these little things work great.

I love this filter for the 10 gallon aquarium as it fits in the corner nicely and doesn't take up a lot of room. It does a great job in keeping the water cleaner. The sponge can be removed for cleaning as well along with the rest of the filter. It works great for my Axolotl as it is a smooth surface and she can not get hurt if she bumps into it. Great product.

Marineland Perfecto Glass Canopy 48 in. x 18 in.

I would not say that the Perfecto glass is all that perfect. One thing the description fails to mention is that it comes in multiple sections to fill each of the sections of the top of the aquarium. That is fine, except that the separate pieces do not fit properly into their positions on the aquarium. Each panel was approximately a half inch (5/8") too wide. I think it would be helpful if Marineland provide all of the different dimensions of this product, not just the total size for the aquarium it fits. 48"x18" does not accurately describe it. It is actually two separate panels that are both roughly 22.5"x18". I used a glass cutter to shorten the pieces... something I would not recommend.

Beyond sizing, the glass cover is actually a good quality product. The hinge is very firmly in place and not inclined to slide apart like others I have seen. It is easy to add and adjust the plastic section at the back for concealing gaps between the filters and other items hanging off the back of the tank.

Quick and efficient customer service, product arrived as described on website. Would be more than willing to do service with them again .

This glass top fits perfectly on my 75 gallon by Marineland. I would recommend getting whatever glass top thats made by your tank manufacturer. This particular set is a great fit and looks much better than the traditional canopy. I recommend the Aqueon dual flourescent light to couple with this for a sleek look. I've been buying Whisper aquarium products for a number of years and I have to tell you I couldn't be happier with them. They ARE the quietest products on the market. Put them on/in your fish tank and they run so quietly you won't even know they're there. And this power filter lives up to its name. It's super quiet and it filters the water just as it should, leaving it crystal clear (unless you have a bacteria problem and then the only cure for that is to treat your tank). Bought this pump for less than $15 to replace my Whisper 2 (old model) and it is very nice. They have not changed much in these pumps,....except for one vital thing. They made the width the over the edge of the tank narrower by about 1/4" and it did not fit over my tank lip and I ended up cracking one of the tubes. Upset at first,...but then i realized that the Impellar was a perfect fit for my old model and just replced it. The replacement impellar parts were about $14 anyway and it uses the same size large carbon cartridges.

Easy to review this one... I've used other brands of aquarium filters and this one is the 'BEST'. Quite frankly, it does the job better than any other I've used and is less expensive to operate as well. As an engineer myself, someone actually knew what they were doing when they designed this product.

I have used these filters for over 25 years. Have tried others...thinking they would be quieter, but, alas, NO, they aren't.

I use the 20 Gal. filter on my 10 gallon tank to keep things more clear.

Only negatives: it is still a loud motor...even more amplified by the fact that my tank is in a display bookcase, but one gets used to the ambient sound.

It is no worse than the motors on a Cats water fountain (since they are the same motor)...and those of you who have live bearing, small fish, such as guppies...will need to use a small hole type of cover over the bottom intake...as it can suck up the newborns, as well as African Frog eggs.

All in All...it is a GOOD Filter and only got 4 stars because of noise factor....I wish they could figure out a way to dampen it down some.

I purchased three identical Laguna Pond Heaters, 315 watts. #1 died in three weeks. #2 made it three months before it expired. #3 was a real performer and made it four and half months before it quit working.

Hagen Glo Dual Timer for T5 Lighting Systems

I was ready to return this product because I had no idea how it worked and I could not find any instructions or video demos online. The instructions that came with the product are horrible. I gave it to my roommate who is good with clocks and he figured it out.

There are two steps/components in this device:

One is the front dial that you rotate to set to the current time. You need to set it to a 15-minute interval time (say 7:00 or 7:15, 7:30, etc) . Leave this step until the end

Two are the outer ring segments. These are hard to pinpoint but if you pay close attention (feel free to use a magnifying glass if you need to) you can press each plastic segment down. You need to add a little pressure and they will take the up or down position. There is a segment for every 15-minute time lapse. So with the segments you can indicate when the power remains on (down position) or off (up position). And you can basically set the schedule that you need as many times in a 24-hr time frame.

For my aquarium, I have the lights coming on early in the morning at 7am, then shutting down for 2-3 hours at noon (this is according to some sources I read to impede algae production) and then come back on at 3pm until 7 or 8pm

Now, another tricky aspect is the red button on the side. This works such as if the switch is up (timer drawing shows) the timer segments you chose are in effect. If it is down (the "I" shows) the timer does not operate.

Nothing I described above is in the manual. So that's why I am giving it 4 stars because it works but you have to play with it.

So far it has been working but I'll update if it breaks

I thought this might have two timers. But it doesn't. It has one timer, that controls two outlets. It won't control two sets of aquarium lights at different times. It is basically one timer, that splits electricity to an extra outlet instead of one. I was hoping to have white lights comes on during the day, and then blue lights come on in the evening. This will not do that.

The timer works fine. You do need to fine tune it once a week as the time will be off a little. I have two of them and both of them have flimsy mechanical wheel in between. It's not smooth when you need to turn the time wheel. The timer does take time to learn how to use as the instruction was pretty bad. There is youtube video if you still can't figure it out. Basically you point the arrow to current time, and push the pin down for the time you need the timer to turn on. It's a little tricky as I didn't know how to push it down when I first received it.

I highly recommend a timer as it saves you a lot of time switching on/off lights and it gives your aquarium a stable environment.

I have five of these GLO timers which I use for various planted aquaria and house plants. They are very handy to use, since I have been able to stagger the times in which the lights on these aquariums turn on and off.

The only drawback is that Hagen's instructions are terrible and should be revised to make setting up this timer easier to understand.

Aside from that, these are excellent timers that work very well with a variety of aquatic lighting systems; including Hagen's own GLO T-5 linear fluorescent lights.

The only reason I bought this is I saw it in a picture on a tank box at a local box store and thought it came in it. When I opened it, no Dumb Dumb. (If you are wondering why I am saying that, watch Night at the Museum. My son's loved that movie so when I saw this, I knew he would want it.) So came on Amazon to find one and success! The price is so,so but it seems to be very well made and looks nice and the look on my son's face was priceless.

There is an opening in the back and base, which is nice for fish to hide and water to drain for removal. I thought we would have to anchor it down because it didn't feel heavy enough but we just smooshed it down in the gravel a bit and he was good to go. Now Dumb Dumb is in place and ready to have some company.

The one I got is not blue as it looked in the picture, but other than that it looks the same. I did not know what size it would be, since there was no definite indication in the description, unless I missed that. It turned out to be the size I thought it might be, though. which is about 3" by 6". I used it in my two gallon turtle bowl (which is supposed to be a fish bowl). It's tall enough that the turtle can use it as a dry land 'sunning' spot.

Pros:

Good capacity (Can not validate 2200 GPH clam as I only us a 900GPH pump)

So far has not lost siphon

dual drain, great if one get clogged and can handle a lot of water

Cons:

Black acrylic would have been better for the in tank part as algae will quickly rune the appearance of the clear acrylic.

Drain connector could be better. I would have rather screw on type, these ones require a clamp and rely on fiction.

Overall I am very happy.

It works great when you first start it. After ONE day the filter gets dirty. I don't care how clean your tank looks. The filter gets dirty fast and you have to clean it. If you don't the siphon slows down and the return pump you have in your sump is now too powerful. Clean the filter and your back in business. Kinda sucks after you do it everyday almost.

i have no idea how it work. i make my own protein skimmers, drill tanks, make awesome wet drys, & understand them all. this blows me away. i can make it now that i see it but understand it no i do not. easy set up & instructions. got it running and stopped all pumps for 4 hours. plugged every thing in again and away it went.? this thing rocks & i will be making my own to added new tanks to my set up soon. price point is spot on, be leave me i looked , add a tank to your wet dry or added a wet dry to your tank. for the people that have had issues with it didn't us it right.

this was too cheap, waste of money. The handle was too cheap and could not push on the glass. I pull of the green spong and use it with just my hand on the glass, works great now, no handle.

This brush sponge is just okay , not stiff enough for algae removal and the handle is the problem , easily bends which will someday break from the pressure needed to scrub algae; there are better ones out there ; this is a throw away

they recommend this for a 10-20 gallon tank but it's way too long for the 10 gallon. it's harder too maneuver and it sticks out the top of the water after a minute of siphoning. i felt like it wasn't able to get everything because it had such a long way to go up the tube that when the gravel was falling out, it pulled a lot of the poop back out with it. so if you have a 10 gallon tank, go with the mini, not the small.

otherwise, i think it works well for what it is and the price.
