EHEIM FILTER PAD SET 2226/28

Eheim Filter Pad Set work to keep my 180 gal turtle aquarium clean. The produce fits into the filter baskets as original. They are easy to rinse and reuse a time or two if need be. I have owned this filter for almost 15 years and with proper cleaning and a few minor seals that had to be replaced because the filter was disassembled and moved. I recommend this product for direct replacement for the Eheim 2226/28

To me the ehiem 2026 is the best filter, these are the pads for it. Change the white 1 month rinse the blue next month change both. Thats 2 months worth in the box. Oh and good luck finding a lower price.

I ordered this from OnlinePetDepot. It turns out it's actually Malaysian Driftwood, which I am happy with, not some cheaper driftwood treated somehow so that it would sink like the ad made me fear. It's a pretty nice piece, of course nothing beats choosing the piece yourself but I wasn't sure where to get it around here. Happy with the product.

I was worried what I'd get since I couldn't pick it out myself. It looks similar the display photo but a bit darker. I boiled it 3 times before I put it in my 10 gallon tank and it removed enough of the tannins so the water hasn't changed color at all. Overall I am pretty happy with how it looks. I added a photo to customer photos.

The quality of this driftwood is great, it's heavy self sinking malaysian wood which is really nice. The only thing I am disatisfied with is the shape. While it is a natural piece, it has no shape at all, it is a flat stick shape. It is long though, and a couple of inches thick, it just has no design to it. I leaned it up against the wall of the tank, and actually looks pretty good and my fish like it (needed to lower the pH and a few pieces of driftwood are suposed to help) also my pleco needs it for minerals I guess. Looks great with live plants. Overall OK for the price.

I've never gotten driftwood before and was curious as to what I was getting myself into. But one of my fishes apparently NEEDS it. This driftwood looks beautiful in the tank and gives such a natural look and environment. My java fern sticks to it like glue! No complaints. You will need to boil it first or soak it as the water will turn slightly amber at first. Then with your regular water changes it goes away.

The product is nice and colorfull but I wouldnt say the same about the condition I recieved in the mail. It looked a bit worn out, some of the paint was coming off, it had something weird on itit looked like mold but it wasnt, I dont know what it was and it also had wierd paint on it too, also didnt know what it was. Basically, it came kind of in an old condition. Other than that, I wanted to give it a try for my hamster because I was waiting all day for it. I definately wouldnt want to buy another one on amazon ever again, id rather buy it in the store and not risk getting another one in odd condition. Also, it came with silica gel to keep moisture out, not sure what to think of that.I cant replace it just because it came in odd, crappy condition.

My gerbils love this for hiding and gnawing. The wood is sturdy enough to stand up to a lot of chewing, and, when bent like pictured, there is plenty of space underneath for 2 full-grown gerbils to huddle. Adds a nice splash of color to the habitat too.

I really like this aquarium net that Tetra put out. It is similar to the net that Marina makes in that it looks like it has the same exact mesh size and material, even the plastic at the tip of the handle is the same. In fact every thing is just about the same, except it seems as though the handle on the Tetra is made a little thicker. This is a longer handled net though (than Marina's offerings) which allows me to get into most of my aquariums without even getting my hand wet. The mesh is a perfect size and doesn't harm the fish in any way. Not much to say because it is just a good old aquarium net.

This tank is far too small and a bad shape to be a healthy place for a betta to live. If you want to get a fish, get one as a pet and treat it as such, with the same care and consideration you'd give to any pet. It's not a decorative item, it's a living thing. A betta looks just as pretty in a decent-sized tank of at least a gallon as it does in something like this, anyway. You want scenery, put a picture behind the tank. If you use this product, you're likely to be decorating with a dead fish within a couple of months.

This a great size aquarium, it came in bigger then expected. The stand that the aquarium is placed on is not sturdy. It is made very cheap. My aquarium almost fell off of it. I will prob. just sell this one, and get a nicer aquarium for my betta. It is truly not worth the money.

This is the most unbelievable product I have seen to date for Betta Fish. Next thing people will have them inside a matchbox. This product is both inhumane, inadequate and cruel. Betta fish are tropical fish that require a heated tank, space to swim..... yup, imagine that, a very gentle filter, fresh plants and a minimum of 3 gallons. I have mine in 5 gallon and 10 gallon tanks.

I am so disappointed at Amazon for selling this product. It just perpetuates the myth that Betta fish are disposable and that they are essentially toys.

I will encourage all my friends on Fishlore and other aquarium forums to boycott Amazon. Really folks???

I've been buying Whisper aquarium products for a number of years and I have to tell you I couldn't be happier with them. They ARE the quietest products on the market. Put them on/in your fish tank and they run so quietly you won't even know they're there. And this power filter lives up to its name. It's super quiet and it filters the water just as it should, leaving it crystal clear (unless you have a bacteria problem and then the only cure for that is to treat your tank). I especially like the design of the bio bags. If you want to add more charcoal or some ammo chips to take care of an ammonia problem, just open them up and add them to the bag. I give this product an A+.

The Whisper 30 is dependable power filter. I use it in my 20 Gallon regular fish tank. I have 9 medium sized gold fish in it. It handles the load of cleaning well, I have to clean the filter once, and once in a while twice a week. Replacement parts are available & the motor runs cool, even under heavy load. Bought this pump for less than $15 to replace my Whisper 2 (old model) and it is very nice. They have not changed much in these pumps,....except for one vital thing. They made the width the over the edge of the tank narrower by about 1/4" and it did not fit over my tank lip and I ended up cracking one of the tubes. Upset at first,...but then i realized that the Impellar was a perfect fit for my old model and just replced it. The replacement impellar parts were about $14 anyway and it uses the same size large carbon cartridges.

Easy to review this one... I've used other brands of aquarium filters and this one is the 'BEST'. Quite frankly, it does the job better than any other I've used and is less expensive to operate as well. As an engineer myself, someone actually knew what they were doing when they designed this product.

I have used these filters for over 25 years. Have tried others...thinking they would be quieter, but, alas, NO, they aren't.

I use the 20 Gal. filter on my 10 gallon tank to keep things more clear.

Only negatives: it is still a loud motor...even more amplified by the fact that my tank is in a display bookcase, but one gets used to the ambient sound.

It is no worse than the motors on a Cats water fountain (since they are the same motor)...and those of you who have live bearing, small fish, such as guppies...will need to use a small hole type of cover over the bottom intake...as it can suck up the newborns, as well as African Frog eggs.

All in All...it is a GOOD Filter and only got 4 stars because of noise factor....I wish they could figure out a way to dampen it down some.

I had this heated for approx 3 weeks now and I woke up this morning to find my whole tank dead. The water was about 100 degrees!!!!!!!!!!! Solar Flare Mini Gooseneck Clip - on Led Light

actually better than I expected with the different setting the only thing is clamp is a little awkward on rim of tank

The gooseneck does not hold position well not stiff enough to maintain position if mounted horizontally. Rating neutral because of the droopy gooseneck. I would recommend vertical applications only on this item, which kind of defeats the purpose.

The Blue leds are pointless 2 .25 watt LEDS -

The White light (3 Watt LED) is bright but it spotlights if too close to my Nano (needs to be about 12-18 inches above the 6 gallon nano). IIf I mount it above the nano it works but since that requires a horizontal surface for the clamp (edge of a shelf) the weight of the heatsink and circuitry (all in the head) defeat the gooseneck and it will not stay horizontal.

I'm going to tear it down and install the lamp into my nano fixture. Otherwise would have returned. Poorly engineered. Looks cool though.

I was looking for a good LED for my 2.5g nano tank... needed something that wouldn't sit ontop of the glass top because it is already hard enough having to remove the strip light then remove the glass just to get inside the tank...

It has 3 LED ..one bright white and 2 mini blue for moonlight if you want. You can turn all of them on which I really like.. it makes my tank stand out. Not too bright nor too dim, just perfect!!

Fluval Ribbed Hosing Bracket for 104-404, 105-405

We recently bought a 55 gal tank off craigslist and it came with a Fluval filter, having one on our other tank we knew what was missing when we went to set it up. So rather then having 55gal of fish water shooting up the wall and onto the floor (yes that had to happen first before we decided this little guy was rather important) we did the mad scramble to find this part. this place was the cheapest (other then i needed it the next day so amazon made sure i paid for that convenience). I mean the part is what it is, it holds the tube in the tank nothing fancy no ponies will shoot out, your fish Won't dance because of it, However i don't want to kill my husband when i get up in the morning to find the living room flooded So i suppose it does prevent divorce and homicide.

I am a long time FLUVAL user. Have been using 205 for about 4.5 yrs. After it stopped working, I upgraded to 305 and have been using it for 6 years. Both models have been the work horse that keep my 70 gallon aquarium crystal clear for 10 years. I can tell you that while I was using 205, I constantly think about a better way to keep the hose neatly curled to the tank wall . . . I had a peace of mind for 6 years once I upgraded to 305 as it came with these brackets.

Well, I now upgrade from aquarium to outdoor 300 gallon fish tank. I bought Rubber Maid stock tank. Although I design a new pump and filter system that is adequate for the size and fishes. I continue to use FLUVAL 305 as a supplemental filter . . well primarily because I want to use the strong jet stream to keep that surface water moving. To my pleasant surprise, these brackets also fit with Rubber Maid tank. it just happened that I accidentally break the top cover of these brackets recently that I need to order the replacements (I tried different ways, but nothing work better than this bracket).

I found the replacement parts from PETSMART to be the best (price $6.99 each + shipment charge). Although it is for 304, but checking with Fluval.com, it appears to use the same ribbed hose size etc. Sorry, AMAZON sellers, I just don't understand why this simple plastic bracket will be sold for this quoted price here plus outrages shipping charge.

Rio Plus 1700 Aqua Pump - 642 GPH

I use one of these pumps to power my Cichlid community tanks under gravel Jet system. (If curious about UGJ's look them up on Cichlid-forum)

It provides good water movement and excellent filtration thanks to the attached sponge filter. It is no louder than an air pump really and has no real drawbacks. as with all impeller driven pumps clean your impeller often and it will treat you good.

The water flow valve is also good if you, like me, like to lower the water flow in your tank at night to help the fish rest.

great little pump. very quiet, very powerful. plumbing allows for no restrictions on how much this little pump can push. it has to be cycling the water in my tank atleast 7 to8 times an hour.

i needed to replace the pump in my tank (after years) and the old one was a Rio, so i naturally started looking for the modern version. My research online scared me away from Rio because i was finding bad reviews on normally informative Reef Blogs so i decided to go to my Local Fish Store (LFS) who have yet to lead me wrong and ask some questions. Turns out they actually sell the Rio Plus and informed me that it's the industry standard at my size tank (50gal) and that i can find nicer pumps, but not without spending WAY more money for considerably minute results. TrueLumen Aquatic LED Strips 10-Inch 2xrose 2x12k LED Strip

This little strip is a perfect supplement to other lighting. It is surprisingly bright for a 3 watt LED (total, not per LED), and the rose color adds "pop" to typically red deficient LED lighting in freshwater planted tanks.

One of my tanks is a 35 gal hex with a plastic hood. It only provides for a single strip light, which is not adequate for my tastes. Initially, I did some surgery that let me install a second florescent strip. That helped, but it wasn't until I converted both florescent strips to LEDs that I was finally able to get satisfactory illumination.

Still, because of the hood design, a shadow remained at the front of the tank. Enter the TrueLumen LED Strip. Its water resistant design allows it to be installed under the front opening access panel on the hood, where it fills in the shadow and illuminates the fish when they swim to the front. It also improved the overall color balance in the mid and lower regions of the tank where it blends with the other LEDs.

The downside is that these are pretty pricey for the amount of light produced. In addition to cost of the light, you also have to buy a power supply (and a splitter if you need more than one strip). But they solved my problem better than any other available option, so were worth the cost to me.

Nice and bright. Perfect for the DYI light hood. No problem growing plants in my small 6gallon. Draw back--need to also purchase power supply.

TOM Aquarium Overflow Box with Auto Start and Stop, Hosing incl.

I just got this. I did not know that this is not a stand alone unit. It is suppose to be attached to a sump unit that has a pump made to match this. So I have a refugium and a pump but was looking for an "awesome" overflow box. I was misinformed. I don't know if it was me or the way the product was discribed. I see how the "auto start and stop" would have worked if it was attached to the sump pump and tightened with a hose clamp but without the other unit (which cost like $250+), I don't have an overflow box with all the bells and whistles. Hope my information helps others like me. If you are a aquarium guru who knew better than me, than this is my mistake.

UpdateOkay. This unit sucks. Now that I took it apart to see how it works, I can clearly say it could have been made better. Save your money. This unit is made with weak plastic (yes, I considered that many aquatic products are made weak and costs a lot but this is weaker). For $100, it should be stronger, designed better and easy to take apart. I did not break mine but even the instruction book warns about breaking it while taking it apart to clean it. Then I realized two of the parts are very hard to remove. I gave this unit a good try and was disappointed.

Let me say this, if your tank isnt drilled and you want something that does the trick in both a compact and quiet way this is your overflow box. I had the Eshopps PF300 and couldnt deal with the noise, even when I used the modification tips. That thing made all sorts of noises and it was a real pain to get working. This thing is awesome, you simply plumb it (mine wasnt shipped with hoses but i had my own so didnt complain or request them), pour a little water in the resevoir and start your pump. Power goes out no problem, i tested it a bunch of times to be sure it would start back up. Compact no question in and out in the same box cant be beat. Adjustable outlet could be a little better but you are supposed to have powerheads in a reef or saltwater set up so this isnt even an issue worth complaining about. Very adjustable when it comes to water level, I can drop my tank almost 2 inches or I can raise it to the brim, each adjustment can be fine tuned easily. Each click up or down takes about 20-30 seconds to see the change in water level.
