Tetra ReptoFilter Disposable Filter Cartridges, Medium, 3 Pack

Tetra ReptoFilter Disposable Filter Cartridges, Medium, 3 PackI own five filters that use these cartridges and they work very well, however I found that if you buy the Tetra 26160 Whisper Bio-Bag Cartridge, Unassembled, Medium, 12-Pack you're going to save $$$.

You can reuse the plastic frames (recycle, recycle) from these cartridges. You'll end up paying less than a buck a piece for the Unassembled ones!

They look and work the same.

They are both manufactured by the same company, Tetra.

Prime also!

These are too expensive, no matter WHERE you get them from. Sure, they are much less expensive online than at the pet store, but if you get the "build it yourself" pack, you will save a LOT of money compared to these things

I love this product. It's afforable and it is very durable. The filters doesn't cloud the water when you initially put them in.

A fair value considering at the stores it would cost you more money to purchase this item for your self.

These filters are perfect. We have a red eared slider and they are pretty messy. These filters do a great job of keeping his home clean. I've ordered them before and not had a problem yet. The only thing I would like to see is that you get three in a pack. Our tank has 2 filters so we have to order two boxes at a time. That gives us 3 changes. I would rather see 4 filters in a box. I would have to order less often. With free shipping they cost less than at the pet stores or Wal-Mart.

JBJ Automatic Top Off Water Level Controller for Aquarium

JBJ Automatic Top Off Water Level Controller for AquariumA simple way to automate the replacement of evaporated water in the reef aquarium. Using the two level sensors, it monitors the levels in the sump and top-off water container. This made it possible for me to leave on vacation and have a complete novice manage the maintenance of my reef.

One of the sensors in this product did not work right out of the box. Because there are two sensors we used the one sensor set up but risked the pump going dry until the replacement sensor arrived. Reviews on the product page were all excellent. After I had the problem I Googled and found less than stellar reviews and found that this is a common problem. Some people had hardwood floors ruined due to the sensor not shutting off.

Buy JBJ Automatic Top Off Water Level Controller for Aquarium Now

I bought this because I was planning on going on vacation in few months and I needed something to auto-top off my tank while I'm gone. I did a few reviews on this and it works great, I'm happy I purchased it for my aquarium. When the water level drops the sensor kicks on and turns the pump on to fill the tank of lost water

Best product out there for the price. Simple, not a lot to program two options that it). Not too crazy about the way that you set up the floaters but with some tweaking you can secure better with suction cups or even zip tie, but then again I am paranoid and I have never heard of anyone having serious issues with the floaters, oh yeah floaters are the devices that measure the eater level.....forward 1 year, found out that device is not as water proof as it should be.

Bought two of these for different tanks and both are working great. The only reason i didn't give it 5 stars is because the wires for the sensors need to be longer.

Finnex FugeRay Aquarium LED Light Plus Moonlights, 16-Inch

Finnex FugeRay Aquarium LED Light Plus Moonlights, 16-Inch+ Good for nano planted tanks

+ Moderate level lighting for measured growth without worrying too much about algae (depends on your tank parameters/fauna/flora)

+ Solid casing

+ Cool moonlight

The mounting brackets that are adjustable just plain suck. They don't adjust more than an inch or so and get wobbly

I bought this light fixture a few months back to use over my 5.5 gallon planted tank and it works perfectly. It's stylish, very bright, but not so bright that I need to have co2 in the tank (I use Excell along with PPS-Pro ferts that I mix myself). I have it on a timer and it comes on and goes off at the same time every day. That means I can't use the moonlights at night, although I do leave them on with the whites during the day. The added color it brings to the tank is mild but it really does make the plants and fish look better than without them on. The plants all grow very well with this fixture (nine different types of plants from low to medium light requirements). Overall I couldn't be more pleased.

Buy Finnex FugeRay Aquarium LED Light Plus Moonlights, 16-Inch Now

I got this light to replace the one that came with my Tetra 10-gallon half moon aquarium.

The light is very good, reaches the substrate. I don't use C02, but had to turn down the

amount of time the light is on to prevent algae growth. I like the blue "moonlights" but don't

really use them. I love the stream-lined look. Very well made LED light & an excellent

price for what you get. Only thing I would change is that the cord was kind of short.

Finnex Digital Temperature Control Glass Heater, 200-Watt

Finnex Digital Temperature Control Glass Heater, 200-WattI have always had the old glass top mounted heaters and switched to this heater and here is why I say its awesome :)

first it is built solid there are no cheap plastic parts, the control button is well designed and placed on the top for easy access with a simple push of the button it will flash then all you do is push the button till you reach the desired setting it will automatically start heating and it does it at a nice slow pace as not to shock the fish with a rapid heat change to their environment. The temperature sensor has about 8 inches of play to place it away from the heater to get an accurate temperature with a suction cup on the probe and 2 on the heater the black color blends in nice so it does not stand out to much. Next the led readout is nice allowing you to see the current temperature a green led tells you the power is on and a red led comes on telling you it is heating then goes off when desired temp is reached, I have unplugged it to test the memory and it does exactly as described remembering the setting.

Love this Product !!!

I purchased this heater for my 38 gallon and I love it! The digital reading is accurate and very easy to adjust. No second guessing the temp. I still keep a thermometer on the opposite end of the tank and the temp is right on! So easyplan to buy another for my 55 gallon.

These made my tank look new and the plants grow wonderfully. I would highly recommend these bulbs and will purchase again.

Fish & Aquatic Supplies Microbacter - 7 Bioculture Fresh & Marine 17Oz 500Ml

Fish & Aquatic Supplies Microbacter - 7 Bioculture Fresh & Marine 17Oz 500MlStarted dosing vodka 2 months ago. I have been slowly working my way up to eliminate nitrates. I have been following the commonly used online guides. After a month and a half my nitrates had still not moved from 25ppm. I have now been dosing MB7 on top of the vodka for a little over a week and still my nitrates remain at 25ppm.

Algae on the rock works is gone, film algae has been retarded by 75% on the glass (speed at which it grows), coraline algae is receding (boo), water is amazingly clear but all that had happened with just dosing vodka. I can't see how the MB7 can hurt but I have yet to see any benefits. Nitrates holding at 25ppm (API test, and 2 salifert test kits)

Marina Betta Kit Decorative Gravel, Black

Marina Betta Kit Decorative Gravel, BlackThe picture may allude to the idea that these are quite large bags. I didn't notice the description stated 8.5 ounces so I was a little surprised how small the bag was, but that's at no fault of the seller. The rocks look great in the tank; the only very slight annoyance was how long it took to clean them before placing them in the tank. It took a good 15 minutes to wash and rinse (repeat about 10 times) before the water was clear enough for my satisfaction. Overall, I will purchase more when needed.

My fish got so tired of all the plain old rocks in his tank. They're "too basic" he said, "they look like all the other aquarium rocks" he lamented. I didn't know what to do. He became more and more despondent as the days and weeks went on. I gave him a book on Fung Shui to see if it would cheer him up. I figured he could find some way to reach inner-peace with his aquarium if only he could explore his deeper fish desires. Finally one day he declared the solution to all his problems was known to him.

It would be in creating a new home space consisting of only black and white elements. That way, he explained, everything happening outside his tank... the television, the people walking by, the birds flying by the living room window would be explosions of rich colorful life not marred by the fake rocks currently in his tank. Life for him would be one rich palette happening all around him. Dubious about whether or not this would really work or if it would become one more thing my fish became bored with in the weeks or months ahead I pulled out my credit card and ordered him these rocks. "You'll see" he told me, "this is the start of a brand new life... for the both of us!".

Just two days later the new rocks arrived and I placed them in his tank. Ever since then he has taken to writing poetry, practicing his back flips and I never hear a single complaint. Every once in awhile, with a smug look on his face, he'll talk about how all the other fish in the neighborhood are jealous of his remodel. Had I known these black rocks were the solution to all of our problems I would have purchased them months ago.

I read other peoples' reviews, looked up how much the weight is, and still its a really small bag of rocks. Its like the size of three burger patties stacked on top of one another. I have a 10 gal with a little under 20 lbs of substrate and this just peppers the surface. Looks cool but still less than i thought. It is a bag of rocks though.

Its better to buy this in a brick and mortar store. The "gravel" are barely just above grains of sand. Makes cleaning the take a pain because I have to worry about losing them each time.

Want Marina Betta Kit Decorative Gravel, Black Discount?

You can get a bag, of the same gravel, from walmart, that is 5 times the size, for the same price. It's a TINY bag of gravel. This product is for the smallest fishbowls, and/or making your own colored gravel assortments. I mixed mine in with the big bag of gravel that I got from walmart and it looks alright. I have a 5 gallon tank, and the gravel from walmart was just nearly enough to cover the bottom, but not enough to hold down the plants. This helped a little, but I'm sorely disappointed in myself for spending money on this.

Zoo Med ReptiTherm® Under Tank Heater, Large

Zoo Med ReptiTherm® Under Tank Heater, LargeWell if you are looking at this product you probably know what it is and have an idea of what it does... One Note is this product is not ment for any water animals (painted turtles included).

I was using an alternate product to heat my tank but when I went from a 20 gallon tank to a 50 gallon tank it was way to small. This product is 10x better than that competing brand that I purchased at petsmart (for the same price) as this in quality, overall look, and options. Quality is outstanding... Very nicely finished off. On amazon I found it to be $15-20 dollars cheaper than in stores (including shipping).

One major advantage of this product is that one side of the heating pad has adhesive on it to stick directly to the glass for optimum heat transfer (I really like this feature as my old pad did not have this), However this might be annoying when it comes to clean the tank. Also it is able to placed on the side of the tank to transfer heat into the enviroment rather than through the substrate. This is to protect an antique stand or dresser or if there is a table cloth on the table. The product does come with little rubber feet to place on the tank to raise it slightly so air can flow beneth.

In the instructions it warns not to use with any material tank other than a glass tank. It warns not to place a water dish above mat because if water spills on the glass that it is heating it can cause a stress crack in the glass.

For the bottom mount it states that the preffered substrate is Repti Cage Carpet, Repti Sand of thickness no more than 1.5", If using a light (easily movable... newspaper, paper towels, pine shavings, moss) substrate for snakes a cage carpet is required as the glass may become exposed and then burn the snake (or other reptile that can burrow).

I am not using a heat controller on this pad, I instead have a heat lamp and an normal light lamp for day light and heat and then leave the pad on 24/7 for night heat. In my tank the temp fluctuates from ~80-85 in the hot side and ~75-80 on the cool side so there was no need for a temp controller. On the back of the box it gives different temperature ranges for different animals.

I myself have two leopard geckos about 12 years old and about 10", with this new heater I noticed them out of their hides more and exploring the entire tank rather than just one half.

Hope this helps anyone looking.

I bought a different heating pad before this one by Cobra. It, compared to this one was awful. I returned that one and got this one immediately because my girlfriend got one for her snake. I love how it includes rubber feet to lift up the tank. It adheres well to the underside (or if you prefer the side) and works very well. If you're looking for a heating pad for underneath a tank or on the side, go with ZooMed.

This is an excellent undertank heater at a reasonable price. It allows the option of placement on the bottom or the side of the tank. Ours is installed on the bottom and we've had no problems of overheating the tank stand or any problems whatsoever.

I would highly recommend this item.

I may have gotten the wrong size. But I needed a UTH for my 20g long tank and the dimensions listed for this product are ideal yet when I received the product the dimension w

Want Zoo Med ReptiTherm® Under Tank Heater, Large Discount?

For all those who are looking at this product and are confused about which size should be used for which tank:

The large is 18"x8", meant for 50-60 gallon tanks.

The medium is 8"x12" meant for 30-40 gallon tanks.

The small is 6"x8" meant for 10-20 gallon tanks, and the mini is meant for up to 5 gallons.

Hope that helps.

As for the product, I've never had a problem with the Zoomed heat pads. Just remember to use a thermoSTAT at all times when using one of these products as they can reach dangerously high temperatures when unregulated.

Coralife Energy Savers ACL53506 Aqualight Pro Halide Strip, 48-Inch

Coralife Energy Savers ACL53506 Aqualight Pro Halide Strip, 48-InchI have been an amateur coral grower for a little over a year now. My tank is 75 gallons with an overflow port drilled into the side leading to a 20 gallon sump with all the filters and accessories. Over this time I have used three light fixtures. My original lighting fixture was 4 power compacts; I bought it used and it was heavily corroded. When I decided to replace the unit I went with a 4 T-5 fixture. It was a cheap unknown brand and this was noticeable from the shoddy construction as well as the LED moonlights failing after 2 nights. The other problem was my coral were not responding well to the lights. After putting up with that fixture for 4 months I was ready for an upgrade.

The Fixture:

I came across the Coralife Aqualight Pro from marinedepot. It was the highest rated fixture they have and I can see why. The first thing I noticed when I unboxed this item was the quality and attention to detail Coralife puts into the design and construction. Everything on the fixture has a very solid feel to it. The installation of the bulbs, which I will address later in my review, involves removing panels from the underside of the fixture. With the panels removed I was able to see the internal components and circuitry. Unlike the mess of wires that was my last aquarium light, every wire was neatly spot-tied and cleanly soldered or crimped to a terminal lug and attached to a securely fastened component. I have not internally inspected the 2 ballast but they seem to be functioning correctly, albeit very hot. Overall the whole package has a very sleek profile for 2 power compacts, 2 metal halides, 4 LEDs (the product photo only shows 3, but there are 4), all the reflectors, and a fan. The fan only runs with the 2 MH bulbs; the sound is noticeable but not loud, guessing I would say around 25 dB. It does a good job at cooling the unit. I have not noticed a significant temperature change in my water. One final thing I would like to say about the fixture is I also purchased the Aqualight Suspension Hardware Hanging Device to hang it from the ceiling. It makes it look as if the light is floating above my tank, I would recommend it.

The Lights:

If you are contemplating purchasing this, then you probably already know how important the right spectrum of light and intensity is to marine microbiology and the health of your tank. If you keep coral, metal halide lamps are unmatched. After about a week with the MH bulbs only running from 10 am to 4 pm, my coral have taken on a vibrant color and really seem to be flourishing. The 2 actinic 96 watt power compacts are very intense as well. The 4 moon LEDs really give the tank a shimmery pale blue look that draws observers in. They also highlight certain organisms with a brilliant incandescent glow. I have to mention though, the bulbs are the biggest detractor from the total package, specifically the metal halides. While some will say that 10k spectrum lights will promote coral growth I feel it casts a yellowish unappealing light. I intend to change to Phoenix 150W Metal Halide HQI 14,000k DE Bulb next and replace the PCs with Coralife 54074 50/50 Square Pin Compact Fluorescent Lamp, 96-Watt.

Overall, I am extremely happy with the Coralife Aqualight Pro lighting fixture. I would highly recommend to anyone serious about their salt water aquarium hobby. It does seem expensive, but for what you are getting I feel it was worth it. It really showcases the tank and will draw anyone passing by in for a closer look. Have a look at my photos.

Tug-O-Rope Flying Rope Duck Dog Toy 18", Blue

Tug-O-Rope Flying Rope Duck Dog Toy 18', BlueMy jackrussel/chihuahua mix Sam is a terror on toys. He loves the squeakers and the tuggers and this is best of both worlds. I have come to accept that no toy is indestructible to my Sam so I now look for toys he love even when they are in shreds. This is one of them. He loves tugging and fetching his duck, even when he has the insides torn out or the rope chewed off. I buy him a new one now and then always have one large and one small in my house and he doesn't care if they are scraps of what used to be a duck so I leave the bits until they are too small for me to throw or tug. I love this toy and so does Sam!

Looks rugged and strong but my boxer was able to destroy it with in one hour. Stuffing and squeeky pulled out in no time. By day 2 all that is left is the rope and that is almost frayed. Not for dogs with strong jaw or bite. Disappointed the dog really liked it but it didn't last.

Buy Tug-O-Rope Flying Rope Duck Dog Toy 18", Blue Now

Our dog had it ripped to shreds and all the stuffing out within a few hours. He is not crazy with it, we hadn't even played tug-o-war with it yet, just fetch. Now it is just the rope with a few pieces hanging off of it. If you're looking for a one time toy then it's worth it, if you are expecting it to last much longer than a day try something else.

I bought this for my one year old Cane Corso Mastiff....this is his second tug-o-rope duck. The first one lasted approx 6 months until he puled out the rope part. It's his favorite toy and he carries it all over the house with him. I'd say it's fairly durable if you have a pet who's out of the aggressive chewing phase. Otherwise the outer cloth layer tears and the stuffing comes out....which seems like it would be a choking hazard for a small dog. Its size is appropriate for a large dog (my Mastiff's approx 100 lbs). The duck's body has a squeaker which he loves.

I should have bought two of these.

Not sure what she likes about this toy, but it is definitely her favorite over many others!!

Spio III CO2 Diffuser - Glass Reactor for Aquarium Plants

Spio III CO2 Diffuser - Glass Reactor for Aquarium PlantsJust purchased two of these diffusers for my 55 gallon planted aquarium. Received them very quickly and am happy to say that I received exactly what I wanted. Not only do they perform extremely well (producing tiny little bubbles that are easily absorbed by the water before they reach the surface), but they look really cool too. I am currently using them with a homemade reactor (2 liter soda bottle, some airline tubing, silicon glue and a mixture of 1/2 tsp yeast, 2 cups of sugar and 1.5 liters of warm water) and it works great! I hope to buy a real CO2 system (running on CO2 canisters) when I have a little extra allowance, but now wondering why when my homemade solution works so well. BTW, these diffusers would work just great with a store-bought CO2 system as well. At any rate, I'm very happy with my high-quality product and it is Amazon Prime -bonus!

This product arrived intact and as described. Since it has been in the tank my plants have been thanking me every day. All the plant are "pearling" by mid afternoon and late into the evening and the existence of photosynthesis has become undeniable. I have an Aquatek co2 regulator that is factory set to 30 PSI output pressure and this has enough for great co2 diffusion. As mentioned by other users, the bubbles are a little big at first and then subside to smaller sizes after a few hours as the ceramic begins to soak. This is my first co2 diffuser so I don't really have anything to compare it to but this certainly serves it's intended purpose well and most bubbles don't make it to the surface of my tank.

Biggest complaint I had was that it did not come with a suction cup....... How am I supposed to attach it to the tank? Stuff it into the substrate? Luckily I had a suction cup laying around the house that was close enough in size to work but is not really my permanent solution. Now I have to find a place to order custom suction cups or find another route. I'm glad I had something close enough laying around.

Buy Spio III CO2 Diffuser - Glass Reactor for Aquarium Plants Now

This diffuser creates a very fine co2 flow, no issues so far, although when I received it there was a good sized chip in the glass just above the ceramic diffuser disk, I took a chance at not wasting a week or two in returning based on the overall cost. I was happy to see that once pressure was applied that it did not crack the glass, would be 5 stars if not for the chipped glass.

Received this in once piece, however the unit leaked where the spiral meets the inside of the cup. There are also leaks around the diffuser disc, causing some pretty large bubbles. This seems to be a cheap Chinese knock-off. I'm pretty disappointed.

Coralife 77070 3X Turbo Twist UV Sterilizer

Coralife 77070 3X Turbo Twist UV SterilizerMy 29 gallon tank developed a chronic algal bloom that I could not get rid of. The water was murky even after daily 30% water changes. I even removed the snails and plants and used an algicide, which worked quite well until the algae came back a week later. I was ready to give up and scrap the tank altogether when I found out about this product. It is pricey, but it seemed worth the risk to save the tank, especially after I read the reviews.

IT WORKS.

You need to be using powerheads or a canister filter with 1/2" or 5/8" tubing. After I insterted this into the output line of my canister filter, the floating algae in the water died. Within 24 hours I noticed the water was definitely clearer, as my filter had been able to remove some of the dead algae. After 2 daily water changes, the water became and has stayed CRYSTAL clear, like a brand new tank all over again. Since the dead algae can't reproduce, when it is filtered out or removed in a water change, IT STAYS GONE. The best part is that you don't need to worry about the UV Sanitizer damaging your canister's biological filter, because it sanitizes the water that LEAVES the canister any nitrifying bacteria trapped in the filter remains unharmed, free to keep breaking down your ammonia.

HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!!

I have had this unit for several years now, and it seem to do a good job at keeping illness out of the tank. Since I've installed it I haven't had any issues with ick or any other illness. I am using a Fluval 404 and the hoses match up perfectly. It's on a 75 gal. fresh water tank and as far as the leeking mentioned in other reveiws I have had any issues.

The only major complaint I have is that it likes bulbs. If you buy the manufacture bulb it can rack up the $$$ quickly. Costing anywhere from $34 to $54 a bulb. I've found that any 9watt PL type germicidal bulb will work. I went to our local electric contracing supplier and they were able to match up the bulb and sell me bulbs for around $16 a bulb. A big cost down that my wallet loves.

The unit as a whole has worked out well for me, but the cost is a little much. I would only recommend this unit to people that are truely in to fish and don't mind spending money on them.

I actually use this on a 1,000 gallon pond. It clears the entire pond in one night. I've got a separate small pump set up just for the turbo. This year, I tried doing without it and using barley. But the pond looks like mud right now. By tomorrow it will be totally clear.

UV sterilizers are a good thing, especially in the reef tank where most medications will kill expensive corals.

I purchased two 9 watt units (for a freshwater and a reef setup). Below are the problems encountered:

(1) assembly it would appear that it would be a very simple procedure to attach the hoses from the canister filter to the input / out put of the coralife unit. This in fact was the main reason I purchased this over other models. The problem, this seal is NOT at all water tight. Expect water everywhere. The units I was attaching were fluval canister filters (which are the predominate unit in the market place). I was able to remedy this with several units of plumbing tape, but be prepared.

(2) One unit broke in less than three months, I discovered the other unit was not working several months later when my reef tank fish came down with ich after I introduced a new fish. I tried new bulbs but it was the ballast from the units that was defective. I spoke about this to a friend who informed me his two units lated less than a year.

(3) instructions are vague on hook-up specifications, only stating the estimated tank capacity these units can accommadate . Instead before you purchase ANY UV unit make sure you know it's flow rate and the flow rate of your filter. Even though they say a coralife 9 watt unit can accommadate a tank up to (I believe 100 gallons), the flow rate required is that of a fluval 105, which no one would use as the primary filter for a tank this large.

In conclusion a good design with the "twists" increasing dwell time with poor exacution. If you purchase a unit check it frequently to see if it still works, also do not expect it to continue working past the 6 month time frame!!!!!!

First off, shipping from my seller was incredible. Ive never recieved an item so fast! The performance of the serilizr is top notch, helps clear water, and since 2 days after I turned it on my fish has not had the slightest symptom of ich, which he was fighting for a week before! They say on message boards that these items are not a fix for ich, I say otherwise. They point out that it dont kill ich on the fish, Well No Kidding, its not going to suck the fish through it and kill the ich, but ich drops off the fish to reproduce. It is during these times that the ich is killed by the sterilizer. If its dead it cant attack your fish again, so this is a fix for ich. Anyway the reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because it dont come with everything you need to hook it up. You have to go to the hardware store and buy tubes to hook this thing up to your pump. How STUIPID is that! couldnt it at least come with some tubing that is the right size for hooking it up to the sterilizer, then an adaptor or 2 to hook it up to different pumps! I had to make 2 trips to the hardware store to get the right stuff to connect this, once for tubes, and another time for elbows so my tubing isnt going from one side to the other. Very stupid not to include these simple items.
