High quality machine that works very well. Pulls the gunk out and makes a pleasant sound. Using it in a Aqueon sump under a 65 gal. As with any skimmer with a single pump it needs to be tweaked as the water level changes. Running a 4 to 6 inch water level. All I do is turn the valve a bit each day to keep it churning. I open up the valve when I clean the cup and add water to the sump. Easy.
Pros:
I use it as a three way splitter with the fourth connection open. This allows me to use the fourth position to control the sound of the air pump by minimzing back pressure in the air line (just let it bleed into the room). When I left the 4th closed and the other 3 throttled to set the air flow on each of the three, the air pump was fairly loud because of the pressure built up in the airline. Opening the valve on the 4th (unused) connection relieved the pressure to keep to pump quiet.
I purchased this product based on recommendations I found in a forum for Corgi owners. My Corgi pup was shedding so badly that it was almost impossible to keep up with it. I'd tried brushes, the Furminator, shampoos, etc. with no noticeable improvement. In desperation, I decided it couldn't hurt to try this. Much to my surprise, I saw improvement within a couple of weeks & now, 4 weeks later, can say the shedding is greatly reduced & is certainly manageable. I've ordered the larger bottle of Shed-X & it is now a staple in my Corgi's diet. I highly recommend this to anyone who is dealing with heavy shedding (other than the normal twice yearly phenom).
I really liked this "Remedy", I also would add it just once a week for a pick me up. The fish stayed very healthy and the ones who encountered some ich recovered really quick from using this.
This is a great feeder that keeps food fresh and dry. I own two of them and have been very happy with them. If you can get over the high price you will have no complaints.

this is the cutest damn thing i have ever seen for an aquarium! i bought it and the squidward house for my ten gallon, with some colorful plants, and it is so flippin adorable. it's about the size of a miniature, well, pineapple, or maybe a large apple/grapefruit. it is perfect, my fish love it, and it is a beautiful yellow orange that totally brings my tank to life. you will love it, best price out there for it too. counting the doorway there are six openings for fish to swim in and out. i have a betta and platies, and they are in bikini bottom heaven.
After years of submersible heaters with internal thermostats fail on me (multiple brands), I decided to spend the extra money to go with a heater controller and a titanium heater. Bottom line, it is worth the money to have a separate controller. I have tried the Jalli and the Finnex Digital contorllers and would recommend both. The advantage of the Finnex HC-810M is that it not only maintains the temperature to your set point but also displays the actual temperature and allows you to set high and low temperature alarm points. My first thought on the alarm points was that it made sense for the low point in case your heater failed but thought that a high alarm really didn't make much sense because the controller shouldn't allow the heater to heat up to that point unless the controller wasn't working. I later found out that the high alarm was helpful because I had a pump that started to heat the water up to the high limit. The heater wasn't on because the controller was working perfectly and the controller told me that there was a problem. Another thing to note, if you have had the same problems I've had with the regular submersible heaters, you don't have to throw away the heaters that are stuck on. You can use the heater controller with any heater as long as it doesn't exceed the rated wattage. If it has a thermostat of its own and you prefer to use the controller, just set the heater to the max temp. The only thing I would like for an improvement would be to have memory for the setpoints since you have to reset everything if you ever have a power outage or unplug it.

Bought this product back in june it lasted me 2 weeks in my sump until i noticed this strange feeling when i was changing water. i soon found out that feeling was getting some electrical pulses. at first i was confused as to why i was getting it. the probe should be water proof. after unplugging things one by one and still getting that hair raising feeling. finally controller cut off and unplugged no more electrical shock. initially i figured hey i got a bad product no big deal.( well it was a big deal getting electricuted lol) id just write the company. to this day they have ignored my 2 emails and i still have a brokent heat controller. just had to deal with 2 temperature controlled heaters. i wouldnt take the gamble if i were you
I have guppies, apple snails, pond snails, and shrimp. I feed a different food each day of the week. My creatures love this product. I actually bought it for the bottom feeders, but the guppies go crazy over it too. It sinks to the bottom perfectly and before long the fish find it and go crazy. The snails are next, and the fight ensues. The shrimp usually like to wait until things have died down, but sometimes they will sneak in and try to grab some bites before the others have cleared out.
My fish love it but too big for the smaller fish....i believe some of the smaller platys choked on it.

These are great, my fish seem to love them and they all swim to the top of the tank to eat them up. Personally I wish they sank to the bottom but they don't, they float. Which means all of the worms they dont eat get stuck to the side of the tank and are a pain to have to clean up. Over all though these are great.
I heard that Ultimate may be discontinued.. hope not. I have had bettas for years. Typically for me they last 5 yrs or more using ultimate. I have tried other products and my fish have been sick from it. Keeping my review simple...
Having been keeping fish and designing tanks for over 35 years the battle against algea continues and I often find myself on the losing end, especially with some of my tanks that recieve indirect sunlight.
Compared to PetsMart this should save you a few dollars. Also, don't be so quick to throw these guys away with the Eclipse tanks. We've noticed that the tanks filtration system has a pretty solid vacuum, so you'll notice that these cartridges will get dirty after about 4-5 days. Don't worry, because it's just the top layer. Pull the cartridge out and scrub the surface with a new toothbrush from your dentist. You know? The cheap ones they give you after you've paid for a teeth cleaning. This should get you a few extra days.

My one year old whippet, Bean, absolutely LOVES these treats. I used to get him apple treats that were wrapped with chicken jerky, but once I found out about the Chinese made chicken jerky health scare I stopped buying them. I couldn't find any similar treats made in the US, so when I found these I thought my pup might like them . The apples are from Chile, but I don't mind that. I think he likes these even more than the chicken wrapped ones! I used to buy him jerky wrapped banana treats as well and he liked those, so I also purchased the Vegitopia banana treats. For some reason he won't them at all (which is the first time that's ever happened with a treat) so I only get the apple kind now. These oxygen stones are great. Being a college student and all, I need to have some way of taking care of my fish during holiday breaks, long trips home, moving from dorm to apartment, etc. With these oxygen stones, I can take my fish outta their aquarium and into a travel-sized one and bring them with me whenever I'm traveling for long periods of time. It is great to be able to bring my fish with me and not have to worry about someone watching them or feeding them or anything. I bought a travel aquarium (with a handle and a light) and use these stones, They do last a long time. I mean when it says a month, it lasts a month. again make sure you put in one per fish. I ran out of stones and then carelessly made the mistake of using one stone for two fish, for about a month and a half of course my fish got sick. The product falsely advertises that it keeps the tank clean for 30 days......more like 3 days. Before using these tablets, I used to clean my 1gallon fish tank ever 2 days, but now, with these tablets, it a whopping 3 days. This was exactly what I needed and have been looking for. This kit allowed me to restore my air pump to full working status. This also saved me about half the price of purchasing a new one. The only negative is I do not understand why Tetratec had to make is so difficult to determine which kit I needed to make the repairs. Seems more an effort to force me to buy a new one rather then continue to use one that otherwise was working.

We bought at least a dozen of these over a few months time. We have a 55 gallon cichlid tank that we wanted a reef theme for. At first these were a great addition however they degraded so quickly. Once they get a little algae on them they will stain and god help you if you try to scrub them off. After two months in the tank they began to have a weird chemical smell, began to fade, and got sticky. This happened with all of them. They are great if you don't mind replacing them on a regular basis. If you want to keep them in the tank long term....keep looking....these won't last.
