the ship looks great on my 72 bow front tank i set my tank with two of these and it look great

I haven't actually placed it in a tank yet but after receiving it I wanted to say something about it. There is a small part of a bow mast that protrudes over the figurehead. It was chipped into at least three pieces. Two of which I found and reattached with glue. Judging by the appearence of the part after I glued what pieces I had to it, I could still tell that there was another small piece, nowhere to be found. Overall it still looks really nice. I'm sure someone not knowing what to look for will not notice that the front is chipped. Afterall it IS a shipwreck :) My catfish will enjoy the large holes and spacious interior to hide in.

Marina Girl Theme Betta Fish Aquarium Bonus Pack

My daughter turned four and wanted her own pet to take care of and wanted a "princess" tank. The Disney ones were garish and expensive. This is the perfect tank for a betta and easy to clean. I wouldn't use this for any fish but it was great for my little Marimo before it started to get a little bigger. I also used one to hold my little ghost shrimp before putting in the 5 gal tank after I was sure it wouldn't give any diseases or anything. That's about all I used this little thing for.

It looks nice! Although I did have it laminated so it wouldn't get damaged if wet. It was a great idea to do so because it has gotten wet from time to time (especially when I take the top off to clean the tank). If you buy it...LAMINATE IT FIRST!!!!

I keep & breed a wide variety of fish, including Pearl Chromides (who'll eat anything), furcata & gertrudae rainbows, hillstream loaches, ocellatus shelldwellers, etc. The hillstreams are probably the most challenging to feed well enough to get into spawning condition, as their natural diet consists of diatoms, some algae, & very tiny inverts -& the food must be on the surface of rocks or the substrate. They tend to be very reluctant to eat commercially prepared foods, but they love these earthworm flakes. I can't grow diatoms fast enough to keep well-supplied, but feed them ew flakes every day as part of their feeding regimen, & have had them spawn in a setup i had a couple of years ago, and I've had a group of 6 in a 55g tank for about a year now, & I started seeing baby hillstreams a couple months ago.

The high protein ew flakes are also a good addition to the rainbows' diet, since they feed on insects & insect larvae in the wild & need a high protein diet. Rainbows generally spawn like crazy all the time, but if they don't get enough protein in their diets they tend to eat the eggs & fry. My furcatas are in the same 55 as the hillstreams (bottom half of tank is river rocks with a power head providing current over/through them, top half has tons of riccia & java moss). Starting with 1 male & 4 female furcatas, I now have at least a couple dozen babies of varying sizes. The furcatas aren't usually too wild about flake food, but they also happily snork down the earthworm flakes.

I definitely recommend this food as part of a good aquarium fish diet. [I also feed live microworms, white worms, Grindal worms (when I can get 'em), baby brine shrimp, & fruit flies, as well as frozen daphnia, rotifers, bloodworms, & mysis (for the larger fish).]

I got this to put in my 100 gallon pond. I like it because it's large full. However, it arrived with part of the base broken off. It was only 2 little sprigs but it was broken nonetheless. The base is made of some sort of plaster and is more fragile than I prefer but whatever, it serves its purpose.

These bulbs do what they are supposed to. When they are on and there is adequate water flow through your UV sterilizer, you should be free from algae and bacteria which discolor your water. I use it on a 55 gallon FOWLR tank and it always does its job. The only problem is the short life span. It doesn't get nearly the 10,000 hours which it claims to. I would say I have averaged about 4-5 months per bulb over the past 4 years of using this UV sterilizer. This can start to get somewhat expensive and time consuming to always replace the bulb. Also, unless you check the bulb regularly, it may burn out and you and you won't realize it until there is a problem.

Overall: works well but doesn't last long enough

Within few days the lamp worked and our pond is clear. I love being able to see my fish swim around...

I'm not super happy with the life of these bulbs. That said, they do the job, and the Turbo Twist units are great.

If you're thinking about running UV continuously for the sake of general water purity, consider that it's not necessarily to do so with most aquaria. We ran continuous UV for awhile but found that replacing our carbon with Seachem Purigen worked as good or better at removing organic impurities in our water. Purigen polishes the water amazingly well, even where some algae is present. Plus, it's renewable and lasts 5-10x longer than carbon. Now we only use UV if one of our pets is ill (rarely), which keeps us from buying UV lamps every few months. It's sooo much less expensive this way.

This product operates exactly as specified, that is, the lights turn on around sunset and turn off around sunrise. Nonetheless the product is disappointing and poorly conceived for at least two reasons. First, a different colored lens is supplied for EACH of the three lighting fixtures making it impossible to create a glow of a single hue. Instead, one blue, one yellow and one red lens is supplied. Second, the wiring between the light fixtures is permanently installed by the manufacturer who cautions buyers against changing this wiring. Without changing that wiring the product cannot be installed in a customized manner. It seems likely that the people who designed this product have not installed it in more than one or two settings. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT if YOU ARE NOT MODERATELY HANDY with WIRING and if you ARE UNWILLING TO DISREGARD THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.

These lights work well in a small water feature, but could certainly benefit from longer cords between lamps. They sometimes stay on during cloudy days. Photo cell to control on-after-dark feature is located on the bottom of the transformer which puts it in the shade.

These lights work just fine in my 10 x 8 koi pond. I placed them in the middle at the bottom. I pointed one at each end and left the one in the middle shine up to the top. Not to bright but just enough. For the price you can't beat them. Even my fish like them!

I purchased these lights less than 6 months ago and one by one, all the lights burned out. I'm going to have to contact Laguna to get them replaced. Also the cord connecting the 3 lights is way too short to accomplish anything fancy in my small 1000gal Koi pond!

Love this light set up. I have it in a very small pond, 50 gallons with shower fountain. It looks like hot lava! This would not be for medium or large ponds, unless you just wanted to highlight a waterfall or small fountain. The lights are small and so is the distance between each one. The price you can't beat, but I wish it was a solar unit. We're going to put it on an outdoor timer to save on energy though the night.

My dog is a very heavy chewer. He has only pushed the squeaker up inside this toy so far...he's had the toy for 3 days now. This might be a new record for him to not entirely destroy it!! Very good toy for powerful chewers.

My greyhound (RIP) loved squeaky toys, and for her it was all about removing the squeaker, but this toy held up to her gnawing. There is very thick rubber around the squeaker on the bottom of the toy. She was never able to get it out. My new pitbull girl inherited the toy and she has carried it around, chewed on it, but it still squeaks! And there aren't chunks missing from it. I had purchased KONG Goodie Bone Dog Toy, Medium, Red, and it holds up, but but not really a fun chew toy, it is good for sticking treats in. This bone Nylabone Dura-Chew Double Action Combo Bone Chew Toy, Souper was a waste, she chewed all the green rubber off in an hour and doesn't touch it now. Finally this toy Kong Genius Leo Treat Dispensing Dog Toy was good for a few sessions, the neck was chewed off, and the little flaps holding the treats in were delicately chewed off.

This freaky squeaky is a funny looking toy, good to throw and have your dog chase. And it is a good price. I would buy it again, but so far I don't have to.

The toy was a big hit with our boston terrier and lab, german Shepard mix. The toy was a bit smaller than what I expected, I will choose a bigger size next time! The squeaker lasted about a week, but in our house, that is a long time. Even with the squeaker not working, the dogs still love to chew on this toy!

Overall I like this grassy type stuff. I think it looks fairly realistic and is a nice addition to my tank. The leaves are a little stiff though. They don't float around quite the way I had hoped. The base is also sort of ugly (though does a good job keeping it anchored). If it's not covered fully by your sand/gravel it's going to stick out and look funny.

This ornament is fine. It's lasted for two years in my small guppy tank, and cleans easily with just a rinse in warm water. I'm not giving it five stars because its an aquarium ornnament for goodness' sake!

Ah, what can you say about these little cone worm feeders? They work fine. Will work with gel foods, worms of course and even some crushed flakes that you might need to slowly disperse into the water collum for fry. Good purchase.

I use it to feed my community tank freeze-dried tubifex worms. I basically have the cone inverted at the bottom of the tank since freeze-dried tubifex floats. So the worms stay at the apex of the cone, where all the fishes pick on the worms until they're all gone. I rated it 4 stars because the cone is not attached to the ring I had to superglue it on.

This is definitely worth getting for your aquarium, I use much less worms per feeding session and there is much less waste vs dropping the worms directly into the tank and giving the fish a time limit to eat before they hit the bottom. I enjoy watching the fish swim up to the worm cone and ripping a fish right out of there too.

I thought the filter would be flimsy but it has been great and really quiet too. I have personally bought this tank and am using it as a goldfish tank. This tank is not a suitable size for a salwater aquarium, but good for a small goldfish or a couple of tropical fish.

This really works well, it works just like a hang-on-back power filter, except that it is driven by an air pump, however you should be aware that it won't work for really tiny fry unless you modify the outlet. The unit comes with 2 different grates for the outlet, the smallest of which has aprox. 1mm slits...big enough for many species of newly hatched fish to slip through. All you would have to do to modify it, however, is to cut a square of fine mesh to fit into the outlet slot. Other than that, I love this Breeding Satellite Box. Nice quality all around, crystal clear plastic for easy viewing, all the components are well built and fit together snugly. It even comes with a valve so you can adjust the air/water flow. It comes with everything you need, except the air pump.

The medium is 1.2 liter. If you have room, I'd get the large size which is 2 liters, but the medium is quite spacious and you can raise quite a few fry in it.

The product is quite good actually but all the instructions are japanese although it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to put it together and you can just follow the pictures. Also, I live in hong kong where this is being posted from and was charged 10USD or 78 Hong Kong dollar for sending it just down the road, i think that this is crazy, as I have posted things here locally many times and postage for such a small item doesn't cost anywhere near that amount, even sending things to the US from here for such a small item doesn't cost that amount.

I gave this as a Christmas present and it was the best present. I got it two days before I was expecting it. It says on the package that it is for acrylic but it is used on a glass tank.

Regardless of what the manufacturer says, this will scratch your acrylic aquarium. I followed the directions and fortunately started near the back of my display tank. The scratches were immediate and ugly!

I deeply regret not having heeded the advice of others.

I was even able to clean right along the sand line at the bottom of the tank, it moved some sand, but none got trapped between the acrylic and the cleaner. Very happy would recommend for anyone.

I do wish that this item was stronger, or that there was a stronger model availible on amazon. I have a 220 gallon tank with 3/4 inch plate glass. This does do wonders however, I just wish the magnetism was stronger, as it pops free of the glass while scrubbing.

Another reviewer mentioned the muted colors. I too received colors in dark green, deep purples, and a few highlights of orange, turquoise and white. I really like the colors, but it is not the bright kid-like colors that are pictured. It will go well in a more elegant "grown up" tank. I'm very pleased with the design of it. The height is just under 6 inches tall, about 5 1/2 inches wide and 4 1/4 inches deep-which is smaller than the description. I received it within 3 days. Only 3 stars as it is not color or size as listed.

I got the Red Sea Hide-away based on the previous review. I initially thought the colors were annoyingly bright, but I liked the design of it. The previous reviewer said the colors were much darker. They prefer the bright colors in the pic, but I love the darker more adult colors of mine. The color scheme is the same as the previous reviewers. It's dark and absolutely beautiful, and I can't wait to put it in my tank!

So, if you like darker colors, you'll love it. If you want the bright colors pictured, don't get it!

There's nothing wrong with the manufacturing or quality the item seems well made and its structure is basically the same as shown in the picture. But the colors are nothing like what is shown. In reality, it is much darker, less kid-like. The "red" coral on the right is really a deep purple; the "yellow" smokestack looking things are really green; the "light blue" flower like things on the left are really a dark copper/burnt orange; the small "purple" flowers are blue and yellow; the "light purple" brain-like looking things at the bottom are blue and a little purple, but much darker than in the picture; the little "yellow" flowers are red. The remaining parts are a couple shades of deep, deep forest green.

It was for a 7 year old, so I am very disappointed.

I have a beautiful Moon-fin Betta in one of those Tetra Water Wonders 1.5 gallon tank kits. I had some small Greek ruins in there for a while but I wanted to give him a cave to hide in and feel safe. I looked everywhere for something that would look cool and fit in this small plastic tank. This is it!!! It looks so awesome! These complaints about the colors are rubbish. Yeah the colors are different than the photo but it's certainly not muted. Unless some people just received a bad batch of them, this coral cave ornament brightly glows with vibrant colors. Now my Betta swims right in and parks himself with his cute little head poking out like a moray eel! Highly recomended for small tanks and Bettas!!!

The color was a little bit more dull than in the pictures. Disapointing but I decided I would still keep it.

Bad idea. Should have returned it. As soon as I started to rinse it before putting in the tank a horrible rank resin smell took over the whole kitchen! It was so bad there was no way I was going to put it in my tank with my fish. I had to put it out on the porch it was so bad! No way would I buy anther one. Horrible waste of money.

I have been having problems with my ammonia in my large tank. I have done half water changes for the last five days. Ammonia still very high. Fish and snails hanging out the top. Went to local fish shop and they told me to this filter. I put in my Filstar XP3 and I can easy say with in an hour my fish were starting to swim regularly.

NO DEAD FISH! That's always the first good thing when adding something new to an aquarium.

I have been having horrible problems with ammonia in my 55 gallon tank. I have tried multiple solutions with little to no success ranging from partial water changes to chemicals. The HBH Aqua Pure Ammonia filter pad has done an excellent job. I still have slight traces of ammonia, but ammonia at .25 to .5 ppm of ammonia is a lot better than 4.0+ ppm.

Just to fill you in, I have had this tank operating just fine for about 2 years. It was very well cycled. I do not use an RO system to filter the water, but I do filter the water to remove chloramines and other contaminants. The ammonia level in the filtered water is typically .5 ppm. Not great, but manageable. I typically do partial water changes of 10 to 15 gallons just to get rid of excess waste. But, recently and for some unknown reason, the ammonia started to spike. Same fish, so nothing has changed. I tested the water and it's the same. So, I don't have an explanation for the spike in ammonia.

Other ammonia removers with partial water changes just were not doing the trick. This has been by far the best and easiest solution.

Best of all the fish are healthy, eat well, and don't appear to have any problems.

At some point I will probably invest in a good RO system to help with the elimination of ammonia completely.
