the ship looks great on my 72 bow front tank i set my tank with two of these and it look great

I haven't actually placed it in a tank yet but after receiving it I wanted to say something about it. There is a small part of a bow mast that protrudes over the figurehead. It was chipped into at least three pieces. Two of which I found and reattached with glue. Judging by the appearence of the part after I glued what pieces I had to it, I could still tell that there was another small piece, nowhere to be found. Overall it still looks really nice. I'm sure someone not knowing what to look for will not notice that the front is chipped. Afterall it IS a shipwreck :) My catfish will enjoy the large holes and spacious interior to hide in.

Pet Kelp Joint and Bone Formula

Our 15 year old dog has really bad issues with his hips, and this product has made a great difference in his mobility. He still has issues, but he gets around better, and seems to be in less pain. I have a dog Beagle/Terrier mix she weighs little over 20lb.

The direction on the back says to feed 1Tsp for her weight.

I mainly feed my dog dry food so following the direction on the back I had to mix the Pet Kelp with water. This product isn't a powder like so it doesn't mix well like corn starch; it is more like a grounded black pepper that is green so most of the stuff settles to the bottom. The smell of this product is little like seaweed.

when I gave my dog the mix, I noticed she didn't like the smell and try to flip the bowl with her nose.

I had a good laugh but trying to feed her this product was hard. Only way I can get her to eat was when I mixed it with peanut butter or mayo; some other mixture to cover the smell of this product. And their website says "Best of all, every pet we know LOVES the taste"

If you feed your dog canned food I guess it will be okay.

As for the helping on the joint and bone, I will update after month.

JBJ Instant Siphon Gravel Cleaner

I bought this elsewhere but am buying a replacement. I love this design. The valve on the end allows you to turn the flow of water off between buckets (very important!) the squeeze bulb makes starting the siphon so much easier (and more hygenic some people put their mouth on the tube and get tank water in their mouths, igh!) The only down side is that sometimes you will get some gravel or a snail inside the squeeze bulb, although it is possible to get it open to clean it out and then reassemble, you loose the tightness of the seal over time the more times you take it apart better not to get junk in the bulb in the first place.

I have a 5 gallon tank & this item is way too big. Need to have a much better description on what minimum size tank it is best for.

We received the siphon hose really quick, and was excited to try it out. It works really well and cuts down time cleaning your tank. The only problem with it is it leaks around each connection. We solved that with metal clamps at each join, they should improve the joint fit on this product. But it is a real easy product to use.

This leaks terribly where the hoses connect to the hand pump. I had water everywhere. Perhaps -only minehas this defect. Not sure. However, I cannot recommend this product.

Aqua Tech Fish Aquarium Magnetic Algae Remover

I bought this magnet at a big box store for about half the price Amazon sells it for. I figured if it didn't work, I wouldn't be out much money. I use it on the little patches of algae that show up in between major monthly cleanings and the more minor water changes I make. I have three fantail goldfish in a 20 gallon glass tank and algae can build up fast. This magnet works better than I expected. It wipes these spots away instantly and keeps the tank looking great! The other review noted it didn't work on acrylic but I can attest to it's effectiveness on glass. This would not be the appropriate method to clean a lot of algae or thicker algae, as that speaks to a different issue that likely is due simply to poor maintenance or even an ill fish. But for "spot cleaning" I would definitely recommend this. Plus it is intriguing enough and simple enough for my young children to want to take part. I just set up the inner magnet and they drag it around with the outer and their hands get nowhere near the water. Definitely has my positive recommendation!

I bought this from a local store at a very cheap price thinking it could be a quick fix to scrubbing off some tough algae spots in my acrylic, hexagon aquarium that I cannot reach with my plastic-handle acrylic scraper. The Aquatech scraper's pads are like a soft felt pad and was only able to remove some soft algae, but not the more coarse algae that is more prevalent in my reef tank. I'm going to spend a little more next time & get the Mag-Float cleaner instead.

Zilla 09930 Night Black Heat Incandescent Spot Bulb, 100-Watt

I have had a lizard for about 4 years now and the only heat source that she will sleep with is this bulb. Well i ordered it from this seller on amazon and it arrived quickly, except it quickly ceased functioning, which is rare for these bulbs. Well i emailed the seller and they sent a new one 2 day shipping for me and didn't even require i send the old one back, saving me some money on postage or the hassle of sending it out. I can honestly say this seller is amazing and the product is great as well.

We have three of these dishes: two used for food and one extra for water. As previous reviewers have stated, the foot prints and bones decorations do rub off with time especially if you stack two bowls together for storage. The water bowl, for example, still has it's decals because it doesn't get stacked. I do wash the stainless steel bowls in the dishwasher daily because they can be separated from the decorated plastic outside support. They are holding up very well. The bowl is sturdy, never tips over, and easily holds the 1/4 cup of dry food my two tiny dogs (8.75 lbs and 7.5 lbs in size) each get every meal.

This dish was purchased to replace a pottery dog dish, which, unfortunately, was broken. The original bowl belonged to my beloved pet of many years, and was much larger than this 1 pint size dish. My dog using this bowl has weight issues, so this size is perfect for holding her portion! It is an adorable bowl...so cheerful to look at, and unbreakable as well. API Algaefix Algae Control

After using this product, right away I noticed a reaction with my Goldfish. I have (had) two and the one was affected more then the other. Did a water change and they seemed better. A few weeks later I used it again and then I lost the one fish. For the last few days, even after 2 partial water changes my lone goldfish is VERY stressed and going crazy. Today I'm doing another 2/3 water change and hoping for the best...

Google "Algaefix and goldfish" and read some of the reviews you find there. Some folks think this product should be banned, and I agree wholeheartedly!

The first time I used it, I used it according to directions. I counted out 14 drops for my 10 gallon tank. It cleared within a couple of hours, and then the next day, the algae bloom was back, so I waited three days, like the directions said, and put in another 14 drops, and the next morning, my fish were all lying on the bottom of the tank. When they didn't respond to even food by noon, I got them out of the tank and put them into our quarantine tank until my husband could come home and completely empty and clean everything in the 10-gallon tank. I would not use this again. I hope my fish will be okay. After several hours, they seem to be coming around. If they die, I will write back with an update not to use this product.

I never use chemicals in my tanks but this time I decided to try because I developed an algae problem in one of my tanks that I could not get under control after adding t5ho lighting (Even after reducing light duration). Since I am averse to unnecessary chemicals entering my tanks I only gave a half dose after a water change yesterday. When I awoke this morning I had a lovely tank of dead fish. There is nothing else that would have contributed to the entire tank being wiped out but this hideous product ( My ammonia, nitrate and nitrite levels are fine). I wrote API about it and am awaiting a response. STAY AWAY from this and use any other method of destroying algae that does not consist of using this product (Or any other chemical product for that matter). API/MARS should be ashamed to have this on the market.

I feel confident that when used with the special car harnesses, that they would be safely contained if we ever had to come to a sudden stop. The car harness is key because the anchor point is low on the back as opposed to being higher up near their shoulder blades. It does take up one entire seat plus the middle seat, so keep that in mind when choosing a size. We have a small suv, so that wasn't a problem for us at all.

There is also a small drawer under the flap in the front. Enough to keep some treats, food, bags etc. I also purchased the wire feeder that has two compartments with lids or food and water. (I mainly use it for water only, as my dogs will not eat in the car) It is very well made. It's like a mini couch, but just not as heavy. Sometimes, when we are at hotels, we will bring the seat in and they use it as a couch too.

We are very happy with our purchase!! Highly recommend!

Picked this up for a planned 2 week car trip. It was just what we wanted. Our 16 pound Yorkshire/Westie mix took to it right away. I feel good knowing that he is secure and safe. Its actually a nice size and, if you are careful with your arrangement, you can put a little water plant in it. Actually, as long as you don't cover the clock too much, you can use it for whatever your imagination can come up with. My daughter is still contemplating exactly what she wants in it but, in the meantime, it looks and works just like a clock. Eventually, probably more than once, it will become a fun art project for her.

Jardin Fish Tank Aquarium Releases Bubbles Column Design, Air Stone

My last bubbler was a sick that stuck to the side of the tank, with a wimpy flow of bubbles. I replaced it with this, which I didn't stick down. My fish shoves it around and plays in the bubbles, which are copious. He's a happy guy!

This air stone gives out good consistent bubbles and it is weighted enough to stay down on the gravel at the bottom of the tank. I can not comment on its durability as I have only had it in my tank for a few weeks. Most of the air stones that I have purchased like this, have usually lasted 4 to 5 months. Similar air stones can be found at Pets Mart that don't cost as much.

Aquatop PF15-UV Hang-On Filter with UV Sterilization

I bought this filter after battling ick a few times and I wanted a filter that had the sterilizer built in. Now 2 mo. Later my tank looks great and last week I found a couple of fry so this sterilizer/filter is amazing. Great product well worth it.

As far as flow goes the filter is excellent on my 10 gallon feeder tank. I purchased this so that I wouldn't need to worry about quarantine when adding new feeder fish to my feeder tank that I keep for my snake. The water is crystal clear and I haven't had any in tank deaths even with the lack of fungal checks and quarantine. The only problem is that the filter media clogs fast and doesn't rinse out well to be used for even 3 weeks. Nor does Amazon sell replacement filter cartridges for this filter. But overall it is well worth the price and I would buy it again even knowing about the filter media issue.

Update 4/9/13 Today I took delivery of my 5Th AquaTop UV sterilizer and my 2nd AquaTop PF15UV hob/uv sterilizer.

As usual, the unit was simple to setup. However, I noticed better attention to detail with the way this unit was packaged. The uv bulb was in a separate USPS box which was included in a larger box that also contained the PF15UV's box.

Perhaps AquaTop is taking to heart what some of its customers are saying in regard to the company paying more attention to its quality control.

I hope so, because AquaTop is a very innovative company with a number of cleverly designed products that do make the fishkeeping hobby easier, and thus more enjoyable.

This author has found AquaTop's hob uv sterilizers to be extremely helpful in keeping the water in my aquaria crystal clear.

My plants and fish have never looked better.

If these filters turn out to be as durable as my Aquaclear hob filters, I will be even more impressed with them. As it is, given their use for uv clarification alone, they are terrific.

Moreover, they also offer some benefits for uv sterilization, even if there are better uv sterilizers on the market.

However, any uv sterilizer which offers significant improvement in regard to germicidal capabilities is going to be far more expensive than the AquaTop uv sterilizers.

In this author's opinion the AquaTop uv sterilizers are a genuine bargain, and the company's hob/uv sterilizers also function as very good mechanical filters when a foam prefilter is installed on their intake tubes.

If you're a fishkeeper who's become completely frustrated

with your regular filter's inability to keep the water in your aquarium clean, you should really consider purchasing a uv sterilizer.

Most uv sterilizers are expensive, and some with higher wattage and better quality uv bulbs can be very expensive.

However, companies like AquaTop have developed a line affordable uv sterilizers which do an excellent job of keeping your aquarium's water column nice and clean.

And while the debate continues to rage on in regard to whether or not an inexpensive uv bulb offers germicidal benefits, many aquarists who have purchased these affordable uv sterilizers continue to find that their fish

are healthier than ever, and their aquariums' water is noticeably cleaner than when using just a standard filter alone.

This author purchased my first AquaTop uv sterilizer the better part of a year ago, and it has remedied a very serious algae problem that existed in one of my community aquariums.

This AquaTop is an inline 10 watt unit (IL10UV) which has worked so well, that I have since purchased another one as a spare, and three AquaTop HOB/UV sterilizers: the PF-15UV, PF-25UV and PF-40UV.

These AquaTop hob/uv sterilizers are great for killing off algae and bacteria. However, they should not be used for anything but that and mechanical filtration.

The user will also need a separate filter to establish biological colonies in, such as a canister or another hob filter.

This is fine since redundant filtration is always beneficial to an aquarium.

As for the AquaTop PF-15UV, I use it on my Mr. Aqua 12 gallon long aquarium along with an Eheim 2213, and the tank's water remains crystal clear.

I am growing dwarf hairgrass and microsword in this aquarium under T-5 high lighting conditions, with injected CO2 and Flourish plant tabs in a sand substrate.

This would ordinarly create an algae bloom resulting in green water. However, the PF-15UV has prevented this from occurring.

In fact, this little filter kills off algae and bacteria that would normally compete with the microsword and dwarf hairgrass, so that the latter can propagate even faster.

In this author's opinion, this filter saves so much aggravation in growing plants that it is worth every penny of its $49.99 price.

If it turns out to be as durable and reliable as my Aquaclear hob filters, I will consider it to be an even better value.

Affordable uv sterlizers are really starting to catch on within the mainstream aquatic community. And the more recent addition of the hob/uv sterilizer (at present a market completely dominated by AquaTop) will likely encourage other filter manufacturers to include these in their lineup of aquarium filters in the future.

I have had this product running on a 12 gallon freshwater aquarium for two months now. Not only have I had to completely disassemble this filter three times now, but cleaning is nearly impossible due to the shape of some of the plastic pieces. It stopped working again today so I will be finding a new filter. This is my second and last Aquatop product. The first broke within a month. The only upside is that the UV bulb is still working.

The timer is your typical manual timer with pins that are up or down dependent on when you want the lights, feeders, etc. on. One side is timed, the other side is not, which means that you have four outlets for things that need to be turned off (lights) and four outlets for things that get left on (filter and air pump, e.g). There is a switch on the side that allows you to easily override the timer. My only complaint is that by orienting the outlets as they are, large plugs need to trimmed slightly to fit. Another 1/8" would have made a big difference, or if the outlets were rotated 90 degrees then the large plugs would not be an issue. I am very satisfied with it, and gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I feel that the product could have been better designed and tested before marketing it.

Seriously disappointed with this purchase so far. A fantastic value, but mine (which I am assuming is defective and will be trying to exchange) shuts off even when the pegs to keep it on are in the down position. It appears that the wheel that the pegs turn actually pushes them up as it moves against it. I initially thought it was happening only when the timer made the transition from off to on, so the off cycle grew gradually longer, but it has started happening mid cycle now, which stresses my pets.

I intend to attempt to exchange it and hopefully be able to update this review with more positive things to say.

Went to make some lunch, looked over 5 minutes after set up and it was off. It pushes the pins up by itself like other reviews state. And now it won't even work in the "all outlets ON" position. Crap. Awful light timer. Do not buy.

Straight out of the box this thing didn't work I would give it zero stars if I could I just wasted 20 bucks in a 8 port surge protector when I could have went to the 99 cent store to get one. This is the first purchase I have made from amazon that was a bad one but its not their fault it's the maker, I should have listened to the reviews but I didn't. Do yourself a favor and don't buy it or buy it and hope you get a good one its your call.

The timer works like it should. I have 2 lights and a powerhead that come on during the day hours, while a filter, heater, and air pump are constant powered. I have a separate wall timer on a GFI outlet for my submersible LED lamps (beware the AquaSun Timer cannot support LED low voltage transformers side-by-side due to lack of space).

I've had it about a week, and so far it does not tick loudly. I replaced a programmable timer with this one and haven't had problems.

Aquaclear Ammonia Remover, 3-Pack

I'm cycling a new tank and I'm not seeing ammonia levels going down since I starting using these. It's only been a few days but I would expect to see a small drop in the level.

It's easy to use, I just can't tell if it's working.

Update: 4 days after writing the review my "Live NH3" meter, and API drop test are showing ammonia levels very close to zero, well below the 0.5 1 ppm they were so I guess this does work. I'm glad I got this.

Ammonia levels are high in my aquarium and decided to try by recommendation of a Petco employee, Aquaclear Ammonia remover. Maybe worked for other people but for me is still not difference.

Update: Jan/2012:

An aquarium normally will cycle in 6 weeks; Ammonia and Nitrites need to be 0 ppm and Nitrates 5+ ppm when the cycle is complete.

I ordered the wrong size. I needed the size 70 for my filter. I was able to adapt them to my filter temporarily.
