I found this item to be a very good purchase. I own a Tiger Oscar Cichlid and he is a very pushy, messy eater. Since I moved this feeding station into his tank, he has been eating all of his food, since he can now catch it! Also, it stays right in the front corner of the tank while he eats, and doesn't float all over the place so he has to chase it. Very good item!

Really tired of the no answer policy thus place seems to have.

I thought there might be a chance to get a replacement......at least ask about it based on the loudness of the pump...but they cannot even tell me that they will do nothing. I will continue trying to contact them just becaues I want an answer....this time aiming for someone at the top.

I only use these diffusers. Believe me I've tried them all. I have a hydroponic garden and can't risk clogged air stones. These last forever and have a great effect on plants.... and fish I suppose!

This air stone really surprised me. I hooked this up to my rena air pump for my 50 gallon tank and omg, the fine bubble output was amazing! A couple of weeks later my fairly new tank suffered a bacterial bloom. Bacterial blooms consume tremendous amounts of oxygen from the water but this little diffuser stone ended up being a life saver. While I did water change after water change in an effort to save my poor gasphing fish from sure death this stone (with air pump turned up full blast) put out enough bubbles to replace the oxygen and get my fish through the night. Heavy water circulation and this air stone did the trick not one fish lost. Cute shape and size is just right too. Would highly recommend.

Love this product although there may not be any quality control associated with their production... 2 out of the 4 stones I ordered did not come in working order. Although the issue was an extremely quick fix. The nipple attachments on these are glued on with an epoxy. Unfortunately, if the epoxy is not applied perfectly it can prevent the airflow from the nipple to the stone. If this happens to you... don't freak out its an EASY FIX! All you have to do is find a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the nipple and drill into the center of the stone for about a 1/4 inch past resistance and the stone will work perfectly.

With a bit of pre-shipment product testing this product would be fine.... otherwise its an easy fix with a bit and a drill! Hope this helps and enjoy!

I knew it was going to take a while to ship from overseas, but it was worth the wait. They are a little softer texture than the one that came with the pump. Make sure you soak in plain water for a least 24hrs before changing out. Easy to cut and replace. Saved allot of money not having to buy a whole new pump, because the black filters are not sold separately (anywhere) And 1 pack will do a double pump plus a single pump, with lots extra. I bought two packs , but I have plenty for the future.

Easily the best design for a UV sterilizer, my only complaint is that according to their manual if you want to kill parasites or even algae you need to buy based on the flow rate of your pump not tank size. I have a 180 Gph Fluval G3 and at that rate I'd need a 12x to kill parasites and a 6x if I was only interested in killing algae. The 3x which I have needs a flow rate of 120 Gph to kill algae for example. Some very important information I found no where other than the manual which wasn't available prior to purchase. If your going to buy one, I wouldn't buy less than a 6x. Took a star off for not making this information more readily available.

I just set this up. The hardest part was finding an external pump to power it. I put this on a 28 gallon nanocube and it was so hard finding a pump. I ended up getting 900 Marineland 265gph external/internal pump and it works great. The plastic clips that supposed to latch on was cumbersome and I was not able to use them. I just did the hang off the back, actually hang off the side deal. If you buy tubing with the 900 Marineland, you will need exactly 3 feet of 1" tubing and about 3 feet of 5/8 tubing.

This is the best purchase I've ever made for my 500 liters fresh water tank.

After just two days the water is crystal clear as if it had just been changed.

The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that it does not come with a pump thus it must be installed in line with a sump or canister filter.

In my case, I installed it on my Fluval Canister outlet as I was afraid the flow rate of my sump would be too high.

It would be nice if it had an integrated pump with the ideal flow rate for it but it is still an excellent buy and does exactly what it says it does: gets your water really really clear!

This thing is amazing and very easy to install. I found the instructions to be ok but once you look at it you should know what needs to be done. This thing zaps everything that goes through it and I haven't had and algae bloom since I've had it on and I have hundreds of plants with grow lamps, so it's pretty impressive!!!!

One thing before purchase, just make sure what size you are getting matches your flow rate of filter...just because it says it can handle the size of tank ayou have doesn't mean it matches your flow rate and that's the most important part.

TOM Aquarium Perch-Light Fixture 9W w/Compact Flo Lamp, 6400K D

I use this over an AC70 refugium and my Chaeto is growing quite well. Based on the 6400 light I would imagine this would work well in a planted mini FW tank (5 gallons or less) so long as it wasn't too deep and the plants weren't super high intensity plants.

Fit on the edge of my AC70 easily. I understand the bulbs must be bought from TOM which is a little unfortunate. They also make a 50/50 bulb for small nano-reefs.

I've had mine for a few weeks now, so far so good. The bad thing about is the bulbs have to buy the Tom's bulbs I guess. I've been using it on my HOB Refugium to grow chaeto and its worked well so far for that. The bracket is adjustable and should fit most rimless tanks/fuges/filters it can be swiveled in any direction and the angle of light can be adjusted as well.

Have had this for a little over a week but so far, so good. Light is adjustable horizontally and vertically (even though vertically is kind of useless from the given angels). Only complaint is I wish the light was a bit lower. It puts itself about 3.5 to 4in above the water line. I have this light on a 4 gallon Finnex tank which should be enough light with the "2 watts per gallon rule". Will update on how my plants do in the long run. My tank being a rectangle, kind of wished the light would attach horizontal. Kind of hard to explain but like this JBJ 3 Gallon Picotope Curved Glass Aquarium . Makes for a cleaner look.

Fluval Spec V Aquarium Kit, 5-Gallon

Great tank for an office or bedroom. Looks very stylish and the filtration system is silent and discreet. There's even a place to hide a water heater. The only thing that needs improvement is the included light. Don't get me wrong, it illuminates the tank evenly and adequately, but the way it's mounted causes the thing to sag on one end and it's not bright enough to grow most plants. Because of this I replaced the included lamp with a Finnex Ray 2 and it fits the tank perfectly!

I didn't get this tank through Amazon, but the reviews on this site gave me the insight to make the purchase anyway, so I thought I should give back to the great customers who educated me.

I give this tank a 5 star rating, even considering the strong filter pump. The pump can be adjusted to a setting that is quite manageable when you adjust the swivel output nozzle to point towards the bottom and against the glass. There are quiet spots in the water, even in this 5.5 gallon aquarium, that my Half Moon Betta can hover in and look very peaceful. Plus, I put in a large piece of hollow driftwood to give my Betta a place to escape if need be. Actually, he seems to enjoy the water output (which is 1" from the top of the water line) as he often swims directly up into the stream all the way to the top of the tank. He'll do this three or four times, then pull over and rest. I imagine he's getting some fishy exercise. Reminds me of a dog hanging his head out the window of a moving car. In still water, Bettas tend to be calm swimmers, but this tank provides just enough room and water circulation to keep my Betta quite active. And he's not being pushed around, he's patrolling the tank like the Type A personality that Siamese Fighting Fish are know to be.

The construction is clear glass. I have 5 small live plants, a moss ball, smooth gravel and the driftwood. The underwater pump is the quietest I have ever had, and I've been maintaining aquariums for over 20 years. It's on my desk and I sit about 2 feet away. I hear the air conditioning, the refrigerator and conversations outdoors before I can hear this pump. Perfect for an office environment.

The filtration is biological and physical with the water running through a corse sponge, a small bag of charcoal and a bag of porous coral pellets. The pump is amazing. At full speed it could easily keep a salt water reef healthy. But by reducing the outflow and adjusting the nozzle, the surface of the water is so calm that my Betta can easily grab some air wherever he is in the tank. Remember to adjust the pump's output BEFORE you put it in the tank, because it sits on the bottom and you'll need a long stick or the handle of your net to push it down.

The LED light is pretty, but not strong enough for the plants I have, so I have the tank near a window to pick up some indirect sunlight throughout the day, and some direct sunshine for a few minutes in the early AM. Once my tank is biologically stable, I plan to add an African Dwarf frog and a couple of Rainbow Tetras. That's close to being overstocked, so I will probably have to do a 20% to 25% water change each week. We'll see how the water tests out.

To recap, this is perfect Betta tank with lots of room for his highness to roam and a little more space for some tank companions (especially when you consider the strength of the filtration system). But, from a name like Fluval, it had to be great, right?

I actually have this tank in Black, not that the color makes a difference in how it all works, which is very well indeed.

The sponge filter medium is HUGE for the size of the tank, and has two good-sized cutouts to hold the bio-beads and any other medium you might want to put in the filter. I added a second bag of bio-beads as this tank was replacing a "standard" 5 gallon that had a betta and a couple oto cats in it. By using the bio-beads from the existing tank's filter I had no concerns about cycling the tank before moving my fish into it.

The filter pump is surprisingly powerful for its small size, even on the lowest setting, so much so that I had to make a spray bar return for it to reduce the force of the water coming back from the filter. My betta was getting "blown" around the tank because the current was so strong, and it made us both unhappy. With the home-made spray bar my betta was much more comfortable.

Because the center of the lid is open (so it doesn't block any of the light from the LEDs) the tank is prone to evaporation loss more than it otherwise would be. As I do weekly water changes this isn't much of an issue, and it is common with open-topped tanks anyway. But I wanted others to know that it is something to deal with if that matters to you.

The light works well and my live plants are growing nicely with it. The screw that holds the light bar in place is only plastic, and seems to have stripped the threads even with careful handing, so I will probably have to replace it with a metal screw so the light bar is more secure. I have the light on a timer, so the 2-way switch for white vs. blue LEDs is not an issue to me, but if you don't use a timer on the light you'll have to manually switch from white daytime to blue nighttime lighting.

Everyone who's seen the tank comments on how good it looks! I'm very glad I bought it even with having to make the minor modification of the filter return. For fish that like a strong current or a nano marine tank the powerful filter pump would be ideal.

I bought this tank with the intention of putting a single male betta in it and taking it with me to college, so naturally I was wanting a tank that was quiet, small, had good filtration, and also a modern look. This tank has exceeded my expectations. The pump is extremely quiet, to the point where you have to listen for it in order to hear it, and the water circulates very well. It was easy to set up and I have had no problems with it. The only thing is that the pump can be rather strong for a betta. My betta did get stuck on the filter for the first two days, but then after that he stopped and started swimming around more. Since then he has not gotten stuck anymore. Also, depending on how quickly your fish would eat their food, if they wait to long the pump will suck the food up quicker than other tanks and you might have to turn it off temporarily to feed. Other than that great tank!!

This car seat for our 2 Yorkies is one of the best purchases we've made for them. I feel confident that when used with the special car harnesses, that they would be safely contained if we ever had to come to a sudden stop. The car harness is key because the anchor point is low on the back as opposed to being higher up near their shoulder blades. Here are a couple videos with more information.Plus it's safer for me not having to worry and look back to check on them all the time. They get to sit up and see out the windows or take a nap on the plush pillow top pad. My larger yorkie (12lbs) loves to rest his head off the edge. My little one (4lbs) used to have anxiety when riding in the car-he would start panting like crazy-now, when he's in the car seat, he is calm and usually just lays down to relax :) There is plenty of room for the 2 dogs to sprawl out. We would even have room for maybe a 3rd someday! That is why we purchased the large one, so we would have some room to grow. It does take up one entire seat plus the middle seat, so keep that in mind when choosing a size. We have a small suv, so that wasn't a problem for us at all.

There is also a small drawer under the flap in the front. Enough to keep some treats, food, bags etc. I also purchased the wire feeder that has two compartments with lids or food and water. (I mainly use it for water only, as my dogs will not eat in the car) It is very well made. It's like a mini couch, but just not as heavy. Sometimes, when we are at hotels, we will bring the seat in and they use it as a couch too.

Picked this up for a planned 2 week car trip. It was just what we wanted. Our 16 pound Yorkshire/Westie mix took to it right away. I feel good knowing that he is secure and safe. The air stone I received did not look like the one in the picture. Instead, it looked almost exactly like this:Hydrofarm ASCL Large Active Aqua Air Stone Cylinder, which I ordered for comparison. The only difference was that the sealant used to secure the fitting was more like cement rather than rubber sealant. The other product is also a dollar cheaper. However, because they are so similar they probably will be similarly good.

Update: Be sure to have a powerful pump to use this air-stone to full effect. Something rated for up to 20 gallons is too little; bubbles will only come out of the top where the fitting enters the stone. Added a star because it works fine with a 7.8L/min pump.

Hinged Rectangle Aquarium Canopy in Glass

I ordered this canopy because i had mesured my 40 gallon and knew that i needed a 36" wide top. The canopy I received is 35 1/4 ", and if i had let go it would have fallen right into my tank. There arent dimensions on the box but it does say this: FITS 30, 34H & 45H GAL. TANKS. If this had been included in the products description I might not have ordered it since my tank is a 40 gal. Seller should correct the dimensions in the description. The depth is wrong too. With the plastic thing attached to the glass it is only 11.5", not 13" as advertised. Furthermore the handle they inclcuded is all scratched up. I will be returning this :(

The manufacturer denied this saying that the picture is NOT of the item. The photo and the item do not match. In the photo, it shows three separate hinged partitions. The item only has one hinge.

This product works ok. It does not work well if you have a tank with rounded corners. This tool is best used for fish tanks with perfectly flat surfaces. Replacement blades are difficult to calibrate. Once a replacement blade is installed it might be a fraction too far back to touch the glass.

I like this kind over the soda bottle type that you could make at home because the little plastic container at the top has fresh water so I can add it directly to a bigger tank that I use only to heat the smaller container I have the tadpoles in. Then a use a turkey baster to collect the swimming brine shrimp. If you get the brine shrimp directly out of the salt water you have to worry about rinsing them or the salt hurting your animals. This is the second of these hatcheries I have purchased so I can keep a constant supply of baby brine shrimp hatching. I also prefer the eggs that this comes with over hatch mix I have bought on there own. The eggs I got with this were fresher and seemed to hatch better for me. I use warm water unlike what the instructions say and keep the hatcheries under the lights we have for our turtle so they stay warm and they hatch within 12 to 24 hours.

This air diffuser actually works! I had bought a different brand before and bubbles only came out of the first inch. I WANTED A WALL OF BUBBLES! This one really does look like the picture! Bubbles come out of it all the way through. It's great! I wish I would have got a longer one!

One sticks to bottom, the other doesnt. I would NOT reommend this product to any one. Now I am going to have to throw it away or again ask Amazon for a credit as its krap. maybe Amazon should stop people from selling krap!. If it stuck to the bottom (yes it was applied properly), it would of worked great! I dont need to be putting my hands down in my tank daily to reapply

I have a 9 month old Boxer who is so strong that I would not take her for walks for fear of one of us being injured. Luckily we have a great yard set up for her where she gets plenty of exercise, but I missed being able to go on walks with her as she grew bigger and stronger.

I saw this harness on a dog training show on tv and decided it was worth a try. On the show it was used on a boxer that was even crazier than my dog and it appeared to have an instant effect. I decided it was worth a try. The first walk I took her on made me a believer. When she starts to pull it lifts her front legs off the ground and she can't get anywhere. The impact on both me and the dog is minimal. I now feel that I have the control to be able to take her on walks with my two small children. I highly recommend this harness.

This harness is great! I have a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix that seems to think going for walks means pulling me around the neighborhood. I had tried everything but the dog was just so stubborn that she wouldn't learn. I had decided that I was either going to have to reluctantly purchase a choke collar for her or just stop walking her altogether. Thankfully, my neighbor introduced me to this collar that she uses for her Lab. It really works. It's very humane, so the dog isn't hurt at all, but it really does make them stop pulling. The harness goes around the neck and underneath the 2 front legs so when the dog starts pulling the harness basically pulls the front legs off the ground thereby stopping the dog from walking. This is a great product and I will never use anything else.

I bought this harness for our 6 month old Golden Retriever. On the smallest setting it actually fits! We are excited about that because it certainly will fit her through into adulthood. It is easy to put on and take off. Easy to adjust. Harness has pads around the legs, not the thickest, but should do the job of making her more comfortable. She is still getting used it. But we are happy that she is not being choked around the neck when we take her for walks. She is a big-time puller. I wondered what the big deal about the mesh was. But now I understand because it expands for comfort (there is elastic supporting the mesh from behind). We haven't had the harness for long, but so far are pleased.

My 7 mos old, 55lb APBT/American Bulldog mix chewed through the clips on his standard clip-style PetSmart harness, so I figured I'd give this one a try. He isn't a puller unless he sees another dog, so I was curious to what effect this harness would have on his pulling.

Pros: Fits perfect, seems comfortable when he's not pulling hard, effective training tool to stop pulling.

Cons: When he sees other dogs, he pulls regardless. But the harness squeezes into his ribcage hard enough to cause him to gag and choke, which was a little worrisome. Worse, there is major fraying/cutting of the cord with ring that attaches to leash. This happened within 5 HOURS of use (the cord is cut through 50% in one spot, and about 1/3 of the way through in two other spots).

Summary: I liked the harness for the five hours I used it; however, the tensile strength of the cord that attaches to the leash is compromised enough that I wouldn't trust using it again unless I repair the cord (as any other owner of large bully breeds can probably attest, you don't put your dog into situations where he can come off a leash in public and cause pandemonium, hah.) In the end, I simply bought another standard clip harness from PetSmart for $11, which is pretty much what I would recommend for anyone else.

I bought this to use during the "training process" with my 2yr old Doberman rescue. He came to me completely untrained. Hes 80lbs, I'm 125lbs not a good combination if he wants to get to something. He tends to only pull to get to another dog and occasionally pulled me across someone's yard to see a dog behind a fence. Not fun. While working on regular leash and obedience training I needed something to give me more control of him. I bought this based on other reviews and even if he's lunging to get to another dog, I have complete control over him. It makes walking him and working on heeling a breeze. I have complete control over him with exerting very little energy. I'd definitely recommend to anyone else who loves big dogs but may not be as strong as they are :/
