Loving Pets Dragonfly Bella Bowl for Dogs, Medium, 1-Quart, Turquoise

Loving Pets Dragonfly Bella Bowl for Dogs, Medium, 1-Quart, TurquoiseI love this bowl! It's the perfect size for my dog's food (about 1 1/2 cups). It has non-skid pads so she can eat and doesn't have to "chase" her food. Haha and the color is absolutely beautiful!

The bowl is cute and firm. It doesnt "run away" when my dog has her meal. I think she loves it :)

These bowls are so bright and the dragonflies are really cute. The rubber grip on the bottom is perfect so they don't slide around in the floor. Great size for small dogs.

Coralife Biocube, Size 29

Coralife Biocube, Size 29I'm an experienced hobbyist whom used to have a 120 gallon reef tank, but had to purchase a small 29gallon due to moving into a downtown condo. This is a great all-in-one compact saltwater aquarium. I have friends whom have JBJ 28-gallon Nanocube which is a good product, but lacks rear compartment cover which leads to increased water evaporation of rear chamber and no refugium. The Biocube is well-designed with 3 rear chambers. Chamber one can hold a heater and filter bag of phoslock, second middle chamber (largest) is a terrific refugium which has visible glass rear wall perfect for attaching JBJ Nano-refugium LED light from exterior using suction cups. I recommend JBJ LED refugium light for $60. I bought 26lbs live rock and decided to keep only 18lbs in main display. I put the rest of LR in middle chamber. I am growing cheato and copepods in the middle refugium chamber. The third left chamber holds water pump. I see no issues with pump which came with Biocube, but also purchased Cobalt Aquatics MJ1200 $34 which is former design of Maxijet 1200 made in Italy as a backup. The Biocube's filter system is quiet and cooling fans do not make much noise. Note that Oceanic makes Biocube protein skimmer AND small UV sterilizer (check Ebay too). I bought a Biocube UV sterilizer which attaches to existing water pump. I change 5 gallons of water weekly and decided against skimmer for space reasons.

The Biocube's lighting system can run hot despite cooling fans. The aquarium was pushing 79 degrees in late March which worried me. It is very difficult to install additional cooling fans into the hood. Thankfully, there are several great companies making retro kit LED light systems for nano reefers. I bought a soldered 95% fully assembled retro LED kit specifically for the Biocube from StevesLeds.com for $294. Since is fully assembled, you simply remove the hood and existing light & cooling systems to screw in the new LED kit. You are removing entire guts of interior hood. Takes less than 1 hr and a Phillips screwdriver. LED kit is equipped with pressurized cooling fan which is used in Sony WEGA TV's. LED kit is dimmable and has 2 controls. RapidLed also makes a similar $245 dimmable kit for the Biocube. The main difference is that Steve's model includes cooling fan. RapidLED does not include fan (you would keep existing cooling fans) and one must purchase a reef controller to dim lights and purchase two separate dimmer controls. Both make great LED lighting retro kit systems so is tough decision. After making my LED lighting system upgrade, I'm very satisfied with my aquarium.

I purchased the Biocube for my husband for his birthday. He had been wanting to start an aquarium, and this was the best aquarium to get started. It was so simple to set up and it's thriving with aquatic life after just a few weeks. We've spoken with a local aquarium expert/salt water fish guru, and he even said that we had made a good choice in getting this aquarium. We are loving it and would recommend it for anyone starting out!

Buy Coralife Biocube, Size 29 Now

I purchased this through petsolutions and set it up instantly as an upgrade from the original biocube upon arrival. It's been running now for a week and I love it! My fish are happy as well as the corals I had. The colors in my fish, corals and inverts show better with the lighting on the system. It runs very quietly and is so easy set up, take care of and get to the cambers when needed for your mods or add ons. I found the add ons like my sterilizer and skimmer to be more complicated to set up in the tank then the tank was. I get many compliments on my system and am even considering buying another if I find space to set it up for seahorses or something! I'd recommend if you have looked at this system to stop looking and purchase. Petsolutions through amazon is the cheapest I had seen it online and shipping is included!!

I tried starting up a saltwater aquarium using my freshwater tank, hang-on filter, etc... While it worked fine for a FOWLR tank, I was unsuccessful when adding corals. After wasting a ton of money and time, I caved and bought this coralife tank. What a life saver! I did a few minor mods like cutting out the tab separating the intake from the second chamber to allow greater flow. Got rid of all those bio balls and added a carbon bag, nodes I already had, purigen, and a protein skimmer. Life is good now. This is worth the money, just do your research on biocube modifications to make this worth the price.

Want Coralife Biocube, Size 29 Discount?

While the biocube has always been a well-made product, it is not well suited to freshwater environments as the advertising says. My mother had the oceanic 8gal for a lone kribensis and loved the smooth look. I have made more freshwater-friendly alterations to mine (including a new pump with half the gph and a ball valve, different lights, different filter media, etc. etc.) which make it much more suited to freshwater, but it does cost quite a chunk of change. I am very pleased with the final product, it is likely I would not choose to do it again -especially with a product that advertises as being freshwater-compatible.

For anyone who owns this product already and doesn't want to put in the effort of modding the hood and light fixtures, Coralife DOES make a 16" 36w 6700k compact light. There is hope!

Crystal Clear Aquatics AAD00248 Pondseal Liquid Pond Liner, 1-Quart

Crystal Clear Aquatics AAD00248 Pondseal Liquid Pond Liner, 1-QuartI bought this to seal a waterfall that I had rebuilt. It was applied over concrete and had I used pond sealing foam to fill in some of the cracks. It goes on dark brown, but dries black.

I tried foam and bristle brushes and it definitely goes on easier with a standard paintbrush; especially if it's going on a rough surface.

Finnex Ray2 Aquarium LED Daylight, 24-Inch

Finnex Ray2 Aquarium LED Daylight, 24-InchBought this light for my son's deep 25 gallon tank after looking at inferior and overpriced units available at my local chain pet stores & online. It was a replacement for the dim florescent tube light that came with the tank. What a difference!!! The tank is so bright it actually looks like natural sunlight (it will actually cause you to see spots for a few minutes if you look at it straight on when lit). We have been using the light daily for about 3 months now and it is still working flawlessly. The light is bright enough to support the growth of a few Amazon swords, onion plants, and a couple of unnamed tubers. The light fixture is small, solid, and sleek looking-it is a definite improvement over the old black plastic box that was there before. I purposely waited some time to see if this light would hold-up before writing a product review to be sure I was not recommending another disappointing aquarium light system. After a few months of daily, sustained use I am pleased to report it has there are no still no problems with the light. All the LEDs are still functioning and there has been no issues with the light's performance whatsoever thus far. The only word of caution I would offer is that be very careful with the light duration. We started the light on a 12 hour daily cycle from the start and there was significant green algae growth problems on all surfaces of the tank, gravel, plants, and lid. We finally got the algae under control and are currently running it for 7-8 hour daily cycles without algae growth. If you are looking to add some punch to your tank without spending some major cash upgrade your lighting with this light.

I chose this to replace my large and unsightly fluorescent fixture (dual T5HO) based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews I had read on the internet and my own experience with the Fugeray on another tank. The Ray2 doesn't disappoint! Super slim, super bright, and has the look and feel of a much more expensive unit. Finnex knows how to get it right. Plus, they provide PAR data for their lights so the buyer can make sure the light will be appropriate for each particular aquarium setup. I am now using this on a 10 gallon that is 20" wide, so there is some goofy looking protrusion from each side, but the adjustable legs make it work.

Recommended for anyone looking for high light in a slim platform. Do your research to make sure high light intensity will work in your tank, and if so, you will be pleased with the Ray2.

Buy Finnex Ray2 Aquarium LED Daylight, 24-Inch Now

There aren't many aquarium lights that are this inexpensive, that actually work as well as this one does. I love the thin, low profile look of it, and the light output of the 7k/7k daylight model is great for my planted tank. In the 2 weeks I've had the light, my plants have responded by growing taller, and bushier, than they ever were before. My fish also look much more vibrant, and colorful than they ever did with my previous light.

My ONLY gripe about it, is that the power cord is too short. I had to use an extension cord with it in order to plug it in. The cord needs to be about twice as long. I'm still giving it 5 stars though, because the price to performance value is incredible!

I absolutely love this light! Would have preferred to get the double bright version, but this works well enough.

Gives me moderate/high light in my 28 gallon bowfront, haven't noticed any of my plants pearling yet, but I have noticed an immense growth rate change since changing over to this from a single tube aqueon t8.

Attaches to the rim of the tank nicely though the screws seem somewhat of a cheap quality, it holds steady and is high enough off the tank to avoid splashing from the filter and fish occasionally jumping.

It has come highly recommended to me from many people on fish forums, and now I'm highly recommending it to everyone else!

API Proper PH 8.2, 200-GramMy pH was a scootch low so I add this product to my marine set up, lights off to avoid swings, it worked great!! Couldn't be happier!

I have Oscars and ciclids. They ran out at the store of this product and I got the liquid one, it was terrible. This is the *best* PH 8.2 product out there. You can mix the powder on your own terms, with the desired concentration. I just ordered 2 bottles at Amazon since I don't want to go to the pet store and find out they ran out!!!!

first of all the picture shows ph 7.5 so i was shaky about buying it because i need 8.2 but i did anyways because thats what the listing said it was and i did recieve ph 8.2 so don't worry about the picture it is ph8.2. anyways the delivery was standard and the product is ok i added it to my tank and not even 3 days later my ph was already dropping and when i purchased the product i was under the assumption that it would raise and "HOLD" my ph but did far from that! so bottom line i wouldn't buy again,it would cost a fortune to add this to my tank every three days

Mighty Mite 50GPD with DI Added

Mighty Mite 50GPD with DI AddedI use this little guy to filter water to top off a custom saltwater aquarium. I have hundreds of dollars in test kits to make sure nothing other than pure water touches my corals, and this Mighty Mite has never failed to produce crystal clear pure water. Great product and well worth it for the price.

I bought this unit for a saltwater aquarium. It was incredibly easy to install (it attaches to a sink faucet) and all you have to do to make it work is to turn the water on! I used Salifert test kits to evaluate the output, and it was top notch. The dKH of my source water was near 20. The output of this unit was 0!!! Phosphates and silicates also tested zero.

Initially, my product output was a little low, which I attributed to low flow from the faucet I used. But it gradually got worse and worse over the course of the first few weeks I used the unit. For instance, it took a week to fill my 150 gallon sump 3/4 of the way to the top. The I decided to test the unit, and I left it running full blast while hooked up to a high flow hose spigot (bought simple adapter from Menards). It produced 5 gallons in 24 hours.

Because the unit is modular I was able to test the water flow through each individual component. I determined that the RO unit itself was responsible for the low flow. I bought a replacement RO unit and I now use the DI unit from this machine with the unit to produce my aquarium water. I liked this unit a lot, but it only worked for a couple of weeks before the RO membrane apparently gave out.

Buy Mighty Mite 50GPD with DI Added Now

This RODI was easy to set up and performs like a champ. My total system volume is around 40 gallons so this should suit me perfectly. All the inlets and outlets are tagged and marked to avoid confusion. Plenty of line was included with the package, as well as some fittings for common household taps. Shipping was fast. I also contacted AWI with a question and their response was prompt and courteous. This system is perfect for the price and size.

This is a terrific inexpensive RO unit. I use mine to make RO water for 29 gallon biocube. It makes 1 gallon per hour without a booster pump. Easy to hook up to faucet with all included adapters and small enough to be stored inside bathroom or kitchen cabinet. I may mount mine after determining the best location. I didn't check to make sure my faucet connection was on tight and checked all connections, but couldn't figure out why it wasn't producing RO water. You should be seeing a 4 to 1 ratio (drain vs. RO water) if all is working. You will have constant drainage so don't worry. Mighty Mite's customer service was quick and most helpful in determining the issue. Highly recommended!

Penn Plax Tank Terrace Master Kit

Penn Plax Tank Terrace Master KitThe product that I received was not what the picture looked like. It is brown with no other colors or plants. The base of the unit is small. It is made of cheap plastic, and not very stable. I decided just to throw it away, due to the cost of shipping it back. I decided just to purchase real aquarium rocks that have different colors, it also was cheaper than the junk plastic that I got.

We purchased these and washed them well, using them in our tank almost immediately! I loved the idea, and the tank looked great. But sadly, within 3 weeks to a month, the suction cups included in the package began to give out. We tried washing them clean, but they will not stay stuck longer than an hour or so. Our cichlids were sad to lose their hidey holes we had built them, and we were sad to lose the levels. This product is best used in a terrarium as opposed to an aquarium.

Marina Multi-Tool

Marina Multi-ToolThe concept is great. I use it frequently to move things in my tank or to remove things from my tank. The scissors are a little hit and miss. I tried trimming some leaves and instead of cutting the scissors sort of mauled the leaf and tugged the plant a little out of the substrate, but I was able to cut thicker/healthier stems when pruning with no problem. Also, the grippers are a little big for planting, so lighter plants would just float out of the substrate when initially planting. Overall, this tool is not perfect, but I still use it frequently. I still recommend it, but just know that you'll still need a good pair of scissors and some tweezers for trimming and planting.

Bought these to trim Java moss. Doesnt cut very well and moss gets caught in blades preventing them from opening. I usually have to make a few cuts before it works. Its more like hacking versus precision trimming. Plastic also seems pretty brittle.

So do they work? Yes. Was it what I was expecting? No.

Como Air Flow Control Distributor Aquarium Lever Pump Valve

Como Air Flow Control Distributor Aquarium Lever Pump ValveThe worst ever. I bought it because I wanted a higher quality valve than the plastic ones. Not. So much air comes out the joints and stems that nothing comes out the end. nothing! Do not buy.

I works well, no air leaks, sound construction, aesthetically pleasing, its just not very easily adjustable, its more of an ON/OFF then anything else, i will probably upgrade to a more adjustable unit later on.

This is a great gang valve. The knobs are easy to turn and very easy to control the air output. Unlike the Hagen Elite which was a piece of junk, valves needed a pair of pliers to turn it and air leaks from the knobs in the closed position. The only negative I have with this valve is that you can't hang it on aquarium otherwise a great gang valve.

I have a two port Air supply unit, but due to recent downgrades only need one air strip in my tank. This works great. I trimmed two short tubes to plug into hole one and three. I turned off hole two, plugged my bubble strip into the output and all was great.

When the air supply unit is off there is no back flow from the water which is great, the seal on the extra hole is holding well, and if I want to convert to a few toys and one main supply in the future this will work great!

Instant Ocean Aquarium Hydrometer

Instant Ocean Aquarium HydrometerI'm using this to measure low salinity in brackish tanks and for salt ich treatments. One thing to remember....the directions say rinse Before and After....BUT when you rinse it in tap water, there are many drops of fresh water still in the instrument...if you dip it in tank water and take a measure, you will get a LOW reading....so dump that first sample after a minute or so...Then dip Another sample and you will have an accurate reading every time. This is a very good hydrometer for the money. Many buy expensive refractometers or resistive types which can also deceive you for a number of reasons.

We are involved in Marine Assessments in the Fiji Islands and we use this little device for on-site testing. Sometimes on the beach, sometimes on boat sometimes in a mangrove. It gives good enough results in the field to see whether furtehr lab testing should be carried out.

A bit fragile for carrying about, but I don't uppose that matters if you're testing a fish tank in your home!

Buy Instant Ocean Aquarium Hydrometer Now

When kept clean and when you dump the first scoop of water and slowly allow the water to enter so that there are no bubbles on the weighted gauge, and when the water temperature is in the high 70's, the reading is very accurate. I have recently purchased a temperature compensated refractometer from Bulk Reef Supply along with calibration fluid. I compared the readings using this hygrometer and the calibrated refractometer. The readings were identical.

Works every time but I agree to dump the first test to get rid of the fresh water and do a second test but I would do that with any hydrometer

Nutrafin Betta Bowl Conditioner, 2 Ounces

Nutrafin Betta Bowl Conditioner, 2 OuncesDespite the tannins in its almond leaf extract, this product is alkaline. Bettas prefer their water slightly acid. I'm having a hard time getting my tank back to the proper pH with Betta Plus in the water.

Chlorine dissipates from tap water if it sits uncovered for a day. Nitrates, nitrites and ammonia are needed by plants. You keep them from reaching toxic levels by doing regular partial water changes. If Betta Plus does anything more to condition the water, I would like to know what it is.

I Googled Nutrafin's #5942232 "Stress Reducing" formula. It appears to be for a concoction of chemical and herbal remedies that have not been proven to be beneficial to fish. If your Betta's water is properly maintained, and he is still stressed, therapy should bring better results.

Betta Plus neutralizes any active chlorine in the water; that is the only reason I gave this product one star.

I must agree with the previous comment about this product being too alkaline. I bought this product due to the Indian Almond leaf extract which I know is beneficial to bettas being a part of their natural habitat. But my pH rose too much while using this. Bettas do prefer their water slightly on the acid side & this product raised my pH up to 7.6 which is too alkaline.

I stopped using this & now do my water changes with another water conditioner. I also bought some Indian Almond leaves & have added them to his tank.

My 5 year old son wanted his own fish so we went to our local pet store and talked to the man in charge of the fish and he helped us find the perfect Betta fish and find the perfect tank for him. The tank came with Nutrafin Betta plus. I went back to buy more Nutrafin Betta plus but the store didn't carry this product and suggested I try something else. I decided to look on line and find what I know works well with our fish. I am very happy to be able to find it here. Our fish is very happy and beautiful. We have had him almost six months now and look forward to having him for many years.

Cascade® Canister Filter Pumps for Fresh & Saltwater Aquariums - UL Listed

Penn Plax Cascade 700 GPH Canister FilterI have a cascade 700 canister in my 40 gallon heavily planted tank and it's a truly wonderful filter. It was easy to set up. It's powerful (all of my plants wave in the currents created by the spray bar and the fish seem to enjoy playing in it). My water is crystal clear and I love that I can put whatever media I want into the filter baskets. Best of all, the filter is really easy to clean: disconnect the hoses, carry the filter to the sink, replace the filter floss, reconnect the hoses, and plug it back in.

Last week one of my shut-off valves started dripping. I e-mailed Penn Plax to ask them where I could buy a new one and they replied to my e-mail within about 2 hours asking for my address and apologizing for the inconvenience. Today a large brown delivery truck arrived with a pair of new filters. I'm overjoyed. This is an awesome company.

I have kept tropical fish for over 30 years. I have tried a lot of equipment over those years, from cheap to expensive. When it comes to filters I have tried cannisters by Eheim, Fluval, Marineland and Penn-Plax. In my opinion, this filter is the best choice. In fact, it is replacing a much praised Eheim 2217. Go on any aquarium forum and you will read a lot of debate about what filter is the best. In the end, Eheim earns the highest praise. Especially the Eheim 22XX series. I bought into the hype and purchased an Eheim 2217 for my 75 gallon aquarium. The Eheim while quiet (silent quiet) quickly lost its ability to create water flow (this is where the Eheim fanatics will talk about "pressure" and "no by-pass" making the Eheim special). The water in my 75 gallon aquarium soon became unacceptable. I decided to look for a supplemental canister filter to support the Eheim 2217 and stumbled upon the Cascade 700.

I thought this filter would simply provide filtering support to the Eheim, but within a week of placing the Cascade in the aquarium, the Eheim's impeller began making noise and the water flow stopped completely. I removed the Eheim determined to repair it, but... the Cascade 700 does a great job keeping the 75 gallon aquarium in tip top shape all by itself! Yes, it is noiser than the Eheim (not nearly enough to be disturbing it's just that Eheim is silent and this filter is barely audible), but it works and it works well. My aquarium has been running solely on the Cascade 700 for 3 months now and it looks fantastic.

If you want to impress the people on tropical fish forums, purchase an Eheim. If you want a reasonably priced filter that out performs the Eheim line in every way, this is the way to go.

I've been using a Penn Plax Cascade 500 for a year in my bowfront 29 gal tank. It's inaudible, a cinch to clean, and it does a great job of filtering the water. And it doesn't leak. I advised my son to get the same filter for his turtle tank but he got a Fluval 105 instead, and it's been nothing but problems. You're supposed to grease the o-ring with special Fluval grease every time you take it apart, and even then it continues to leak. In the end, it's easier to replace the o-ring every time you clean the filter, which is a joke. We're going to trash the Fluval and get another Penn Plax Cascade 500.

It is nice and quiet except for the high pressure and flow rate of the output tubing. I merely extend the tubing so that it ends below the water level and the noise of water is considerable reduced. I have only good things to say about this filter after using it for 3 weeks. A solid purchase for sure.

Pink Parrot Tri to Fun Swing, Small to Medium

Pink Parrot Tri to Fun Swing, Small to MediumI bought a flight cage (32x21x35) for 6 parakeets and was looking for something that had plenty of room and they could use together and this is PERFECT! They use it all day long and I've hung a bell from the center to about half way down for them to play with. It swings back and forth as they land and fly away which adds to the the natural effect of the real tree wood. They love to chew on it. It hangs a little longer than stated, otherwise size is as described. The price is a bargin compared to other big swings. I truly could not have asked for a better toy for our flock!

Total Koi Inc ATK00010 Sho Koi ImpaCount Small Floating Pellet, 10-Pound

Total Koi Inc ATK00010 Sho Koi ImpaCount Small Floating Pellet, 10-PoundKoi food can be very expensive and this is a very reasonable economical feed if you don't need to add color to your fish. Interestingly, I've been using it for more than a year and my fancy Shibunkin fish have not faded any of their color.

You may pay a little more for this food but the results for your fish are outstanding MORE than worth it... I have used nothing but this food for over 8 years and have tremendous growth, colors and disease immunity with my koi, comets and shubunkins....
