Buy Hagen Laguna Pond Net, 11-Inch diameter/33 to 60-Inch Telescopic Handle Now
This is a very nice pond net. It's easy to use and gets around my rocks well, in my 1200 gallon pond. Gets to the bottom (3 ft) of my pond easy with the ajustable pole lenght. I have had no problems with it so far. I have had it for about 1 month and have used it over four times, since my place has a lot of trees with leaves all over it. This net works better then my skimmer net. I have been using this net instead of my skimmer net since I got it and will probably put my skimmer in the shed.Read Best Reviews of Hagen Laguna Pond Net, 11-Inch diameter/33 to 60-Inch Telescopic Handle Here

Marineland Rite Size Cartridge
I wanted a tank that required minimal cleaning so purchased the 10-gallon Marineland Eclipse, and some extra filters. I do love this system. About once a month, I rotate out about a quarter or 1/3rd tank of the water; and the filters do the rest. The tank stays clean, the fish seem to like the extra space. I'm very happy. It's made owning fish, mostly painless. Now if I could just figure out how much to feed them on the regular basis, I'll be set.

I ordered these filters for my fish tank. They were shipped quickly. The quality is good and they keep my tank clean. If you have a five gallon hex, this is the only filter selection you get. The length of effectiveness depends on the condition of your tank, number of fish you keep, etc. If you have a light tank load, you can rinse these at least one time and reuse. I am able to rinse after two weeks and replace after roughly four to six weeks. Use it much beyond that and you just make your maintenance and water changes more of a workload. As a point of reference I am doing partial water changes two or three times a week and am able to keep very clear water. Marineland is decent product line and I have had no troubles with these filters. I use in conjunction with a biowheel, which is crucial to maintaining healthy condition of your water. My only "con" is that you can only purchase in quantities of one or three. I wish there were a discount economy pack say of ten or twelve. Finding these in stock at your local store could be hit or miss over buying them through amazon. Keep your eye on the prices as I have seen them fluctuate. You should be able to get the three pack for eight or nine dollars if you get it at the right time. I've seen them go for over $11 for the same thing so if you get a good price and have more than one tank or just want to stock up and not worry about reordering, get them at the better price while you can.Marineland cartridges are very easy to use. They leave the tanks clean and the fish happy. I use several different sizes for my several tanks. This review is for the size Z. I have a 5 gal hex and the cartridge cleans the tank effectively. It is a no mess no fuss filter set up. One just lifts out the dirty cartridge and inserts the new cartridge.I have fish, live plants, and snails in the tank. The tank needs a filtration system to remove the fish and snail pollution for lack of a better word. The water remains balanced with their use. So much easier to use than other types where one has to measure charcoal, filter floss, and etc. I suppose I shouldn't but I extend the life of them a bit by rinsing them out in between using a new filter. The charcoal isn't the same after the first use, but the filtration of particles remains good. I find them actually a lot less money to use than a regular charcoal, and filter media filter to use.Thursday, September 18, 2014

I like this anemone. I like it's color and the size as well. I agree with the others saying that it has a very strong smell to it. Frankly I don't care about it if the fish don't care about it. It looks nice in the tank, and I'm hoping that it doesn't lose its color. :) Affordable and seems like a nice product.Read Best Reviews of Aquarium Fish Tank Silicone Sea Anemone Artificial Coral Ornament SH237 pu Here

Fluval U Underwater Filter BioMax
Although the U series are NOT silent as some claim they are extremely quiet so long as you have them deep enough to just cover the top of the unit. Otherwise noise will come out of any non-submerged portion of the filter. It's the usual humming noise. Once submerged only the Venturi (if used) will create any significant noise. You can also use a standard 1/4" hose in the Venturi and place the other end in a semi-enclose space to make it even more quiet but I'd add a valve (sold on Amazon.com) to avoid any possible back flow during a power failure or when turning it off and refilling the tank during a water change. It may back flow and siphon otherwise but since the tube rises out of the tank and well above the water line it's less likely to back flow unlike with siphon or pump since the contain water instead of air. However if you fill a tank too quickly it could create enough pressure to make ti rise just enough but only under with enough pressure from inflowing water. A simple valve will make it always safe to use a 1/4 inch air hose to supply the Venturi with air at any depth of placement.

I got this for my Fluval U2 underwater filter, it works great. Will get again, overall happy with the item.Want Fluval U Underwater Filter BioMax Discount?
I bought this for my Fluval Edge and although it is basically loose in the box I managed to figure out a way that works for me and my tank. After rinsing it very well, before replacing the old biomax, I cut some white replacement filter foam that is way thinner than the original Fluval filter foams and fold it in there so its not loose in my grey plastic filter holder.
I can't put too much because there is limited space in the holder for everything the tank needs but I get enough in there that works out well.
I would recommend and buy it again.

Hagen Marina Naturals Foreground Silk Plant, Green
I have a 25 gal freshwater tank which was so boring before I decorated with 12 silk plantssmall, med and large sizes. I arranged the plants around 2 black lava rocks and added a blue background. The colors of the plants look nice with the black rocks and the blue background. The plants fan out from either side of the rocks and sway in the water.
The colors of the plants make the colors of the fish stand out more. Plus the fish seem to feel more secure because they can hide among the plants, like they would in the wild. They search the leaves and under the plants for missed food. There are lots of little areas among the plants for the fish to explore and hide. As a pet owner, I feel like it is my responsibility to provide the most comfortable home I can. My little guys seem relaxed and seem to like having these silk plants in their aquarium.
I am happy with these plants. I like the way they add color and texture to my aquarium and my fish seem to like having a more comfortable home.
The colors are vibrant, but not too bright. I love the shapes of the broad leaves, they look real. The colors on the plants make the colors of the fish stand out, too.I love these! I bought several for my 10-gallon tank, and ended up putting two of them in the 3-gallon betta tank instead. He loves them! Bettas like to have cover, and two create the perfect amount of hiding place for him, without cluttering up the cylindrical tank. They are also nice and soft, so he will never hurt himself on them. I would highly recommend these.

This plant is a nice foreground plant, especially considering the cost. Its color is a brighter green than I prefer, but it's nice and soft for my goldfishes' fins. Also, it doesn't float off easily, as some plants do, and the leaves don't droop, either.Want Hagen Marina Naturals Foreground Silk Plant, Green Discount?
I love this plant. It is made of silk, which is perfect for my betta's delicate fins. It is also pretty small, which is why it fits perfectly into my 2.5 gallon tank. I now have two plants in there, and my betta still has enough room to swim around. I would recommend this product to any fish owners with a smaller tank.Saturday, May 24, 2014

Exo Terra Turtle Bank Magnetic Floating Island
My turtles love the different height levels on the rock. I would highly recommend this product. My small slider loves this dock. The magnets are strong enough on my 10 gallon tank and even worked on a bowed plastic tank with a two inch gap of air between the plastic and the dock. I love being able to adjust the position of the dock without putting my hands in the tank by simply sliding the magnets around the glass. I plan on purchasing this dock again, perhaps in a larger size as my turtle grows.

My turtle and fish love this thing. The fish chill underneath in the dark, the turtle has no trouble getting on it, which is incredible considering the fact that my turtle is a little slow in the physical ability department, ie., she's a klutz. It stays in place through my extra thick plexiglass tank. We all dig this basking platform. Well worth the money. Thanks Amazon and Exo Terra.Read Best Reviews of Exo Terra Turtle Bank Magnetic Floating Island Here
was very satified when i got my large bank, it looked great and my med size red ear slider was enjoying it. but then it started to sink. the plastic cracked around the magnets, allowing water infiltration as it ages. we've only had ours for several months of joy before we are shopping again for a real solution. very disappointedWant Exo Terra Turtle Bank Magnetic Floating Island Discount?
my turtle is a baby, less than 2 inches and my tank is 10 gallon. the rock is made of high quality material, it floats on top of the water and the magnets (outside of the tank) are what's keeping it in the corner and not drifting off.again, my turtle is small so i can't say much how stable it is under some weight but no complaints so far. when he grows i will be buying the next size rock (i have the 'small' now)

Aquarius Aq12005g Glofish 2 Hex Shape 1.6-Gallon Aquarium Kit
BTW, quick note, another reviewer stated he was annoyed with the crappy filter, there is NO filter. That is a bubbler, NOT a filter.
Buy Aquarius Aq12005g Glofish 2 Hex Shape 1.6-Gallon Aquarium Kit Now
The aquarium I received is actually 1.8gal so that's a bit of a bonus, but in all other respects it's not worth nearly the list price (I was able to purchase it on sale). The undergravel filter keeps the water clean, though you should use gravel or decorations from a healthy, established tank when setting this up to ensure you have the proper bacteria started. After just a week of use, I noticed that screws in the hood had already begun to rust. Also, you can't use an automatic timer to turn the light on. So far all the LED bulbs seem to work fine though I'm guessing that once they go, though I would rather have the one small standard bulb that is used on most other similar small aquariums. All in all, it's not bad but I wouldn't recommend paying more than $20 for it, if that much.

API Quick Start Water Conditioner for Aquariums
I have used it since came out, took to much water out, fish started stressing, found this and 24 hours they were back to normal...Love it!!!I'm in the process of cycling an aquarium and this stuff works great at helping to keep ammonia levels from exploding. That being said, you can probably expect to use the whole bottle or more before the aquarium completely cycles. I wouldn't worry about using it liberally either. So far I haven't lost a fish despite adding them before cycling even began. So this can help to better manage the situation when used in conjunction with frequent water changes.

This product does what it says and breaks down solid waste and makes your filters last much longer. It doesnt take much either, good product. This Waste Remover works wonderfully, it is somewhat pricey but if it works then stick with it. I use this weekly to supplement my bacterial load in the gravel, to break down the waste and uneaten food particles. It can also be used directly in your filter housing to keep the build-up in check, especially inside the tubes and connections.Thursday, February 20, 2014
Jellyfish Art Desktop Jellyfish Tank, 3-Pack
"We are former JFA customers. We made three attempts at keeping jellies. They all shrunk and JFA consistently gave two answers when we contacted them do a 20% water change and feed more. The third, and final time we had JFA jellies they shrunk again. Only when I became utterly exasperated with their 'water change/feed more' answer did they suggest regularly adding a few drops of Phytofeast and/or live food. Now I think they're telling customers all the time to feed live food had they simply acknowledged this at the onset (instead of pushing their frozen food and reassuring customers this was the only food required) I would never have purchased jellies since I wasn't interested in starting a brine shrimp hatchery in my house. Nevertheless, because I already had them and they were dying/shrinking with JFA frozen food I had to start hatching brine shrimp. Finally, with live food one jelly grew large and normal looking. But, this was only after it had mated with another jelly which resulted in orange polyps covering every surface of the tank. (I asked about the possibility of mating before I bought them and was assured this couldn't happen. Also, polyps reproduce independently, so when these show up there's no way of getting rid of them unless the tank is completely broken down, cleaned out, and re-started.) At this point, we overlooked the orange mess because we were happy that after all our effort at least one was surviving. According to JFA it's ok to leave jellies alone for a weekend, if needed. We did that and came home to find this beautiful jelly in shreds from the bubble tube. After so much time, effort, expense, and frustration with poor customer service we decided we'd had enough and took down the tank.

So I've had aquariums for around 30 years, I grew up raising and caring for fish, i've dealt with desktop tanks and tanks that were 200 gallons. I have a few exotic reptiles as pets, and I've managed to keep cats and dogs alive for year and years with no problem. I feel that I'm a pretty experienced pet owner.this tank is cheaply made, like suuuuuuper cheaply made. I spoke to someone who designs fishtanks and they said it was about the lowest grade acrylic you can use, though whether this is true or not is up for debate I suppose...though using an acrylic specific brush on the tank (and using it lightly) managed to do irreparable cosmetic damage. it looked like i'd taken a rake to the side of the tank.
the "live rock" is not live rock, it's glass or some other substance with divots in it that will eventually supposedly harbor bacteria, but it's not actual live rock, and the bacteria that gets fostered in there is NOT the stuff you want in your tank (i had a friend do lab tests on the water from another JFA tank as they are a biochemist so we went a couple steps beyond a traditional water testing kit and the water was not healthy since it ends up full of waste products from the jellies, and the snails and crabs you are encouraged to buy that are actually even MORE detrimental to the jellyfish).
the jellyfish i got were quite small and seemingly unhealthy. they died or shrank quickly, if they were not sucked into the aeration tube and shredded to death (this is in fact a very VERY common complaint) watching them die was heartbreaking and after multiple attempts (since i assumed the first time might have been the result of user error). in addition, the first set of crabs/snails i got were completely crushed before they even got to my house.
customer service was not helpful as their only suggestion was to change the water, something I did religiously until after my 4th go I threw out the tank as I could not bear to kill any more animals.
All said and done I probably spent close to a thousand dollars trying to modify the tank so that it could sustain life, and it could not, and can not.
Jellyfish are -veryhard to keep in captivity, especially in a tank that has no real filtration system...even moreso when you're dealing with a very small tank as the smaller the tank, the more volatile the environment.
I think the LED is very pretty, the design of the tank is decent, but this is something that should only be purchased by experienced aquarium owners, and even then with the caveat that this will be a LOT of work.
Since the system lacks a filter, water changes are something you'll have to do 1 or 2 times at week AT LEAST, since jellyfish are 97% water and are extremely sensitive to their environment. the aeration
