In my opinion, this is the best food on the market for African Cichlid fish and can be used with some New World Cichlids as well. It promotes healthy fish and good color. I feed it to all the African Cichlids that I sell through my web site: The small pellet size of this food can feed any African Cichlid ranging from 1" to 15". It comes in several size containers. I use this size because I carry 800 to 1000 Cichlids and I need the large size to feed them. It also is less expensive to buy in the large size, per ounce. The supplier I bought this food from on Amazon is very good, has a great price, and ships the food quickly. One word of caution with this food. Feed it lightly, especially to Peacocks. It has a fairly high meat protein content and too much can cause bloat.

Does not stay afloat as long as I wanted it to and the pellet size is smaller than I though, but my cichlids loves them. I hope there are larger size, like 6-12mm due to the size of my fishes.

My Malawi Cichlids love it, BUT it nothing like the Cichlid formula. I called New Life before I bought this and they said it is the same ingredients as the Cichlid formula. Well after I used it the first time I knew that I was not going to like it. I have a 125 gallon tank and was shocked to see how the small amount of food (3mm) that I gave to the fish turned into this "orange cloud" that moved across the tank. They ate all of the food before it hit the gravel. It is very messy. I have to give a very small feeding with the (3mm)and finish with the (1mm). I found that I need to clean my wet/dry much more often. I also found that I have to do a larger water change to get back to clear water. The clean up hassle is not worth the larger food size and will go back to the (1mm Cichlid Formula) when I finish this 5lb bucket.

I purchased a a smaller cage when I first got my canary (~16inches long) and noticed he could only hop and not fly from end to end. Now he can actually fly as well as hop. I am happy and so is he. A happy canary is a singing canary and so he does.

What happened? I ordered this bird cage because I thought it was a good deal. Then I opened the box! The item was listed as new but the large plastic bottom of the cage, which was supposed to be PURPLE by the way, was very scratched up and the sticker on the front was even torn! After 10 months I thought I would write an update to my review on this item. These plants are not as "full" as you might think from the picture, but they are still a lovely addition to my aquarium. I was looking for plants that had some realism, and these fit the bill. These are too tall for a 10 gallon aquarium, but they fit well in my 20 or 30 gallon tanks. These are the best aquarium plants I own for one reason... they protect my live fry right after they have been born. This is the plant that my guppy fry always go to for rest after their delivery. It keeps them safe from their "mommy and daddy's" until they are strong enough to swim. If you are trying to raise your own fry these plants are a must for your aquarium!

It looks quite decent but I strongly recommend you to soak and wash for about a week.

I soaked the two plants it came with in a small bowl for a week, and when I was drowning the water out of the bowl, the water was completely foamy. I soaked in warm water until the foam mostly resided. Then I placed it in my fish tank for about a week with all of my other new artificial plants and rocks and filtered the water for a week, keeping my fish in a different tank. My fish are fine. And they enjoy having places to hide.

These came wrapped in a plastic bag. I had to soak them in hot water to stretch them out and clean them.

Once in the aquarium the plants gently sway as a result of the filter flows. It provides a pleasing effect.

What can I say very nice. I don't like that the colors are not natural, to bright but in several weeks algae forms and it makes little difference. I'm not a guy who takes them out and soaks them in a light clorox solution and lets them dry in the sun for two days.so what's the diff.

This is a great all around aquarium sealant for the glass, plastic, hinges, ornaments, CO2 tubing/accessories, and anything else inside or outside the tank. However, this is a low temperature product for "normal" aquarium temperatures up to 120F. Any attempt to glue LED lights, or pieces under T5, T8, CF, or any other higher heat producing items will melt this silicone. So, use with caution!

Strongly recommended for everyday aquatic use. Not for high temperature use.

I love the blue light at nightbut after a few weeks my fish still stay on one side (away) from the light--The bubbles seemed to be more pronounced on the web than they actually are--If/when this dies out, I won't replace it with another like it.

This aerator is lovely, the blue light creates a cool atmosphere during the night and it does not seem to bother the fish. If you have a big aquarium and your fish enjoy currents you need something else as well or another aerator. Try placing it facing diagonally not just face up, that helps in avoiding clogging up so fast.

I was excited to receive this item and setting it up in my 55 gallon tank. Assembled the unit, got it placed perfectly, plugged in the light pretty, plugged in the pump nice bubbling. I took a step back and was watching my tank when the bubbling STOPPED. Unplugged and took it out to look at it put it back in tank and still no bubbling. Needless to say I sure don't want something that is that unreliable to quit after 30 seconds of use. Sending back for refund. No Thanks on this item! Ok so I was hesitant to buy since many other users have said it stops working. i thought maybe I would try and see. This is a crappy product. The manufacturer did not design this well. The issue is that the fan shaft has a magnet connected to it. This magnet separates very fast and then it does not spin and create bubbles. It worked for a few minutes. The manufacturer wants you to return it or buy a new fan piece, but why should we have to go through all of that? Just make a good product. This has no reflection on the seller who did a great job. The product is bad and the other reviewers are pretty accurate. I would not recommend. I have tried some non toxic glue to see if I can get the magnet to stay attached. I will see and hope this works otherwise I will purchase from a different company. The led light is cool and works with no issue.

Easy Balance Water Conditioner

This is an excellent additive for freshwater aquariums. It keeps PH at 7.0, reduces Nitrates that can usually only be removed via water changes, and removes phosphate which encourages algae growth. It also produces CO2 which is helpful for the growth of aquatic plants. However it is important that you have proper water aeration when using this chemical additive because of these CO2 producing properties. Another major thing is that this product does NOT remove chlorine or chloramines from water when performing water changes. Also it is important to note that by using this product it does not excuse you from not having to perform water changes. You still should change 15-20% of the water in the tank every 2-3 weeks depending on how many fish are stocked in the tank relative to its size.

This product will cloud the water for a few hours after it is introduced to the tank water. This cloudiness should disappear quickly as long as you have good water filtration and movement! And again make sure you have good water aeration like air stones in the tank as this could cause the fish to not get enough oxygen.

Let me add to this review that for all the people posting that this product doesn't work or that it killed their fish, they are the ones at fault! And the yellow water issue? Yes this product will cause the water in the tank to turn temporarily yellow. If there is extremely poor filtration and water movement, the water will stay yellow.

I have 2 aquariums and when they need to be clean I add this to the water. EasyBalance with Nitraban helps keep my aquariums clean and clear and I was having a problem finding this product at my local pet store, and other pet stores in my area.

I came to Amazon just to check to see if they carried this product. Much to my surprise,

they did, and for half the price a pet store would have charged me. Even the shipping added to the order, was still half. In the future, I plan to order this product from Amazon.

I have been using this stuff for about a year. It is the best product if you don't want to change water and have to reset your water chemistry every 30-45 days. The castle is nice but I have a 125 gallon tank and I thought it'd be a lot bigger than it is. My eel and one of my catfish love the castle but it wont last long b/c they will each get around 12 inches. But its deff. a nice castle. Just not a good fit for big fish.

I bought this and it took what felt like forever to get to me. If I remember right it was one day late.

Upon receiving this, I noticed that the lid hinge was broken (which I figured I could just super glue), and the Blue LED Moonlight wouldn't work (which was the whole reason why I bought this.)

I contacted the sellers, Ozbo, by email and it took like 3 days to get an email back. after about two more days they apologized and said that I could just discard the broken one and they would send me a replacement, which they did. it took about another 2 weeks to get it, but I got it and it's NOT broken and appears to be working fine.

Even though the process of getting this item was a pain, I still think it's worth it. I really enjoy this product.

This is perfect for my 55 gal terrarium which houses fire belly toads and newts. Although I cant use the lid I just use the light and place it on my screen top. I tried with the lid but too high with the humidity. The lid part would be perfect for a regular aquarium setup. I love the nightlight. My frogs must think its the moon. Since they are more active at night ...I can actually see them moving around and "barking" with the nightlight on. I love this light!

Zilla Light Incandescent Bulb

They do provide heat but burn out very fast. First bulb 6 hours second bulb 24 hours.Have not tried third bulb.

I use this particular brand bulb for my evening lighting in several vivariums, and have used them for 18 months now. Recently I had a few go out, and it wasn't viable for me to hit the local pet store, so I grabbed them via Amazon Prime.

PROS:

* Great bulb for all day heat, or evening heat

* Excellent gentle "moonlighting"

* Quality, lasts a very long time

CONS:

* Ordered a couple, had one go out within seconds for no apparent reason (I'll bet it got knocked around in the mail). Might just pay off to order extras, you should have some on hand anyhow

OTHER:

* Amazon customer service is OUTSTANDING, they had a replacement bulb shipped to me the next day

* When installing these I feel it's best to leave no fingerprints or other body oils on the bulb, once it's screwed in. So use a soft cloth to tighten it, or once it's screwed in, wipe it clean

VIVARIUM HEATING INFO:

* Remember, proper heating for your pet (air and floor temperature) can mean the difference between not just happiness and stress, but proper digestion and life in general

* For many reptiles, floor temperature is most important, followed by air temperature. You'll need to measure floor temps to make sure it's within the proper range for your pet.

* One of these bulbs sitting on top of a 20L vivarium will heat the surface of a rock, which is 6" below the bulb, to about 98*. The floor temperature will be a little less. Use under-tank heaters for best results, such as Zoo Med ReptiTherm® Under Tank Heater, Medium

* Higher wattage means more output, it also means the closer an object or pet is to the bulb, the hotter it will be for them. Keep that in mind.

* Make sure your bulb is sized properly for your lighting enclosure, not only physically, but for the wattage as well. You don't want to put a 150watt bulb in a 100watt socket.

It provides warmth, which is its main function, but I gave only 4 stars because calling it "Black Heat" is a bit misleading. The bulb looks black when it's off, but it gives a purple light when on. At full intensity, it can interfere with sleep. If you need true darkness, get a ceramic heat lamp.

I purchased two of these lightbulbs, and wish I hadn't, as the first one exploded (for no apparent reason) about 3 days after putting it to use as a chick brooder warmer. Thankfully I was close by and heard the sound, as glass shards were all over the brooder. I found a bit of blood, but haven't found an injury among the chicks. I had it screwed into an appropriate holder, it wasn't being touched by anything, and had plenty of circulating air around it I have no idea why it broke so explosively. DO NOT BUY IF YOU VALUE YOUR ANIMALS. I have the second bulb in use currently, with strong, fine wire mesh completely enclosing it just in case, and a second heat lamp different brand bulb just in case this one breaks also. As soon as I can buy a different bulb this one is going into the garbage.

It was the right light for the job, until it burned out. It burned out within 3 weeks of purchasing. I was pretty upset because my turtles had spent a long time waiting for it to ship when our last one unexpectedly burned out. The product arrived in a rather large box that was STUFFED to the brim with packaging material (all inflatable bag packaging). That to me is a huge plus, esp. when shipping something delicate like this. The wood itself, after I uncovered it, was a little smaller than what I wasa expected, BUT only by a few inches.

The piece of wood is perfect by every means! The piece was very much an individual with its own look. It was layered with all sorts of small holes, nooks and crannies, indentions (yet no cracks! Very Solid Piece of Wood!!!!). This will look stunning in my Aquarium (that is, as soon as I'm done leeching it!) This product shipped very quickly, within three days. Arrived in quite a large box stuffed with air packing bags. The piece was actually larger than i was expecting, for only 9 bucks. I didn't cure it just rinsed it off and it sank to the bottom immediately. It looks great and i love the dark wood it turns into when wet. I have a 65 gallon tank, and with the other two pieces i'm recieving i think it will turn out very nice!

I purchased this item to add added water flow to my overflow. I wanted to add a larger pump into my sump that would help cycle more water.

The U-Tube does not have venting tube to remove the access air and prime the system. So you have to use a rubber hose to accomplish this. I had a other u-tube that had a notch on the top and a tub sticking out of it that made it easy to prime and clear it.

I thought I would be crafty and make this hole my self and add a silicon tube on my own. Well the U-Tube cracked and now it's a big mess, I covered it with silicon and got it working.

Other than that it did work. If you do cut a hole don't use a drill that doesn't have a speed control, and turn your cell phone off too.

TOM Aquarium Overflow Box with Auto Start and Stop, Hosing incl.

I just got this. I did not know that this is not a stand alone unit. It is suppose to be attached to a sump unit that has a pump made to match this. So I have a refugium and a pump but was looking for an "awesome" overflow box. I was misinformed. I don't know if it was me or the way the product was discribed. I see how the "auto start and stop" would have worked if it was attached to the sump pump and tightened with a hose clamp but without the other unit (which cost like $250+), I don't have an overflow box with all the bells and whistles. Hope my information helps others like me. If you are a aquarium guru who knew better than me, than this is my mistake.

UpdateOkay. This unit sucks. Now that I took it apart to see how it works, I can clearly say it could have been made better. Save your money. This unit is made with weak plastic (yes, I considered that many aquatic products are made weak and costs a lot but this is weaker). For $100, it should be stronger, designed better and easy to take apart. I did not break mine but even the instruction book warns about breaking it while taking it apart to clean it. Then I realized two of the parts are very hard to remove. I gave this unit a good try and was disappointed.

Let me say this, if your tank isnt drilled and you want something that does the trick in both a compact and quiet way this is your overflow box. I had the Eshopps PF300 and couldnt deal with the noise, even when I used the modification tips. That thing made all sorts of noises and it was a real pain to get working. This thing is awesome, you simply plumb it (mine wasnt shipped with hoses but i had my own so didnt complain or request them), pour a little water in the resevoir and start your pump. Power goes out no problem, i tested it a bunch of times to be sure it would start back up. Compact no question in and out in the same box cant be beat. Adjustable outlet could be a little better but you are supposed to have powerheads in a reef or saltwater set up so this isnt even an issue worth complaining about. Very adjustable when it comes to water level, I can drop my tank almost 2 inches or I can raise it to the brim, each adjustment can be fine tuned easily. Each click up or down takes about 20-30 seconds to see the change in water level.

LumenMax 5K Mogul Socket Assembly

I wouldnt say that these are needed for vertical growing but if you dont already have a lamp socket then this is worth it. It is very sturdy compared to the "converted" socket that i took from my hood after switching from horizontal air cooled hoods. I plan on buying another one. nice long cord too.
