I purchased this "Threaded Bulkhead" for my above ground swimming pool plumbing needs. Although the bulk head is working, the only standard thing on it is that you can slip 2" pipe inside the back side of the fitting. The inside threads are designed for something other than 2" pipe thread and my local exclusive plumbing supply store, that has practically every conceivable type of pipe fitting on the planet, was baffled as to the thread spacing. If you don't need to attach any plumbing to the inside of whatever your using this bulk head on you'll be fine. If you're like me and need to attach more plumbing inside your tank / pool steer clear of this one... Unless you can get the non-standard threaded fitting from the same vendor! Just F.Y.I.

Years ago when I had many aquaria set up I tried both the Vortex diatom filter and the Magnum filter. The Magnum filter outlasted the Vortex filter by years, and the only reason I still do not have my magnum is that I sold all my aquaria stuff after a divorce years ago :(

I've had a 75 gallon tank for about 30 years. This is only the 1st time I've had to replace the original Magnum I started with. I stared experiencing problems with the motor about 3 months ago, which I repaired, and then it stopped pumping as much water. I probably could have repaired that, as well, but felt it was probably time to get the latest and greatest. The main reason I stayed with Magnum, aside from my extreme satisfaction with my first one, is the ability to use generic charcoal/filtering materials. I took the opportunity to look at several other makes and all required the use of their own filters, pads, etc., all at high cost. Being able to use generic supplies keeps the long term costs down. Installation was a breeze. The reason for a 4 instead of a 5 rating is due to the slight difficulty of positioning the unit under the tank. Due to the quick release valves, the actual height needed is much higher than the actual height of the unit itself. I found that I had to "force" the hose to bend around the edge of the tank to go up the back. It seems to put a lot of stress everything and I'm concerned about the long term effect. Time will tell. A long time fan of Marineland products the Magnum 350 caught my interest because it can double as a water polishing unit that uses cartridges.I placed a call to Marinland and found out the polishing cartridge will remove particles as small as 10-15 microns. For true water polishing the only filter in the world that can remove particles as small as one micron in size is the Diatom by Vortex renowned for it's ability to filter out pathogens and parasites like ich.
These glass tops are very high quality. The only issue is the image is misleading. The image shows the 36x18 glass top that does not require a center brace but what you actually recieve is 2 18x18 sections for tanks that have a center brace. Unfortunatly that doesn't work for me but it is not the fault of the product.

I ordered this Versa Top with plans to use it with my 36"x18" 40g breeder tank. What they do not tell you about this product is it is for the FIFTY and SIXTY gallon breeder tanks and not the 40. It comes in 2 18"x18" pieces of glass that expect your tank to have a center brace and not 1 solid 18"x36" as the description of the item would lead you to believe. When I messaged the seller they refused to replace or swap out the item and I had to go through amazon directly to have things fixed. I put this in my newly set-up tank for a couple months without fish (while I was cycling it). The plant archway is really nice looking. It is also quite inexpensive for a piece of aquarium decor/plant. As the other reviewer mentioned, I believe it has a wire inside to shape it. It seems well made, and has not affected water chemistry (as far as I can tell). Plus its not a plant/decor piece that you can easily find in stores locally.

this coffee table aquarium has the best design you will find on the market. i first ordered a midwest coffee table aquarium from petco. the comparison would be a model t ford to a luxurious mercedes benz. this aquarium has all the wiring hidden in the columns. the wiring for the lights(4 of them)the pumps and the heater. the aquarium holds around 44 gals. (the midwest said it held 28 gals but only held 22. that's a big difference. 6 inches of fish to be exact.) the aquavim table looks like a nice piece of furniture. the table is about 50 inches long and 24 inches wide at the middle. it comes with a beveled glass top that would cost about $300.00 to replace. everything is so thought out. there are 5 toggle switches on the front that control each pump (2) each light (again 2) and 1 for the heater.(which is also included) there's an under gravel filter with a series of pvc piping (with holes) and two pumps at either end hidden in the columns. these pumps circulate 160 gals. of water per hour. they have a venturi to increase or decrease the amount of air flow. two of the columns are water tight and 1 houses the electric wiring and the other could be used for more electrical hook-ups. i had the pleasure of e-mailing and talking on the phone to alex from fishtankwholeseller. he was so nice and helpful answering all my questions and responding promptly to my e-mails. he took time to assist me before i even made a purchase. very nice man. the final thing i had a concern about was the ability to get this aquarium table to my house in one piece. not to worry.it was packed for shipping so well i think it could have shipped around the world with no problem! in closing if you're in the market for an aquarium coffee table you can't go wrong with this one. it's beautiful!!!!

I'm giving this product 5 stars for one reason and one reason only, to make up for the people who can't be bother to read the actual product descriptions before they make purchases and then give the products one star. I figure that if I give it 5, the it will average off to 3 stars to offset their ignorance. If the actual product description is read, nowhere does it state that a pump is included. The description lists what is included, and adapters for various pumps are listed, it even tells you what gph pumps to use it with but it never states that a pump is included. Yes, a few of the pictures show a pump, illustrating how the filter should be plumbed together, yet these same illustrations show rocks, grass, a pond and trees and I wouldn't expect any of that to be included, so why would I expect anything else that the product description specifically does not state is included to be included? I wouldn't, but then again I am moderately intelligent (or at least not completely stupid), so I read descriptions, and if I'm not sure about a product, I may even google it and read manufacturers descriptions, other sellers descriptions and other websites reviews before I make a purchase. I've been know to visit a local store that carries the product to actually look at it up close before making a purchase. I think it's called being an "informed consumer". There is no excuse for giving a product a low rating for not including something if you are too lazy to actually read the description of that product to see if it is included.

First off This filter wants to float a little I put a rock in mine under the foam insert this fixed the issue. You can probably use gravel or a rock on top or Partially bury it under rocks or wedge it under or agents something. Other than that I own one of these box filters in my pond works great the foam insert is easy to clean off with a hose. I bought this because of the great buy, and YES it was a great buy. I love this tank! it is the perfect size for a starter tank plus it comes with everything to start out with. I thought the filter would be flimsy but it has been great and really quiet too. I would recommend getting something to hold the heater in place a little better but other than that great buy and good quality.
There is nothing really wrong with these. The dog loved them and I liked the ingredients. I didn't like the smell. These were really just an alternative to some other treats, and since my dog isn't exhibiting any joint issues I can't say how that portion worked.
I bought this light because it fit my proflex model 3 sump that I am using as a refugium perfectly. Unfortunately, the first light only lasted about a week. I exchanged it for a second one, which only lasted about 10 days. I would NOT recommend this product. Heed the advice of myself and other reviews. Look for another alternative, or take your chances. That being said, Amazon's WONDERFUL service resulted in a speedy replacement, and ultimately a speedy response and FULL refund on the second return.

I have had the coralife bulb, the colormax bulb and this bulb. I have got to say this is the brightest, longest lasting and gives my tank the cleanest look of all three. First thing you notice is the difference in wattage. This bulb is 26Watts and the other two are only 10 watts a piece. For tanks larger than 5 gallons the other two are not enough! For SPS and Acros you need more watts per gallon than what the other two can produce. This bulb is perfect for my 3 gallon Pico and it doesn't produce that much heat at all. This bulb may be $4 more than the other two but you will be more than satisfied with this one.

I had bought about six (or eight?) of these Bulbs, allure by the 26W and price. I put 2 of these in my planted 2Galons tank. At the beginning I was happy as it seemed to be a great deal and my plants were growing happy. However, after two or three months max, one of the bulbs went off. I put two of these in my 10g nano saltwater tank and boy was it bright! Tank had way more then enough light, though it for sure is best for a refugium. Too much white light, zoo's didn't respond amazingly well to it, but it worked, star polyps sustained, didnt really grow a ton. Biggest let down is after only MAYBE 2 months the bulb burnt out. Now I have one of these on half my tank and a 10w 50/50 on the other I got from Petsmart. That side isnt as bright but the corals respond MUCH better. All and all, the light is bright, and would be great for refugiums, but keep it out of the main tank for sure.
