My dog, Sara, is very particular about her food and treats. She will only eat high quality canned foods and 100% meat treats. I love giving my dogs bully sticks to keep them occuppied on the rare times when I need some privacy. I thought the buffalo sticks would be a nice change in treats but my dogs seemed to go thru them quicker than the regular beef sticks and the smell was overwhelming.

Microbe-Lift Gravel and Substrate Cleaner for Home Aquariums

As others may be, I'm a skeptic and lightly read into what others post (unless there seems to be a central theme). However, for this product, I have to say that, 1) the bottle warns folks about the brown color that others are complaining about in their reviews, and 2) I'm not sure what happened to the poor guy with brown coffee-colored water (review below), but mine cleared up FAST.

What I did was to add this, and follow directions; that means: correct dosage maybe even a little on the conservative side and then changed my filters after 8 (maybe 12?) hours later. Nothing to it, really.

My tank has had a constant algal bloom battle, sometimes worse than other times, and seemed to remain cloudy, even when the blooms had been abated. The water clarifiers and (alleged) algae killers I've used never worked, no matter how expensive or reputable the brand, but somehow this product did it all; took care of the green water *and* cloudiness. I love it, and highly recommend this. I currently have five tanks; one 38-gallon with plants, fish & invertebrates, a 1.5G tank w/ a betta, two Fluval Ebi Nanos (~8G), and one Fluval Chi (5G) that has an albino catfish & some tiger barbs. I've used this product in the betta, barbs, and 38-gallon tank, and the water has always cleared up in color, clarity, and quality (did water tests once cleared to see what the parameters might be).

I tried other products, but nothing was able to remove the sludge in my 3 tanks, but all I needed was one dose of Microbe-Lift and the sludge was almost gone. Another dose two weeks later and my tanks were completely clear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This may be a very good product but I've only used it once because it turned the water in my tank brown for days. I may try it again when I know I'm not having guests (yes, it looked that bad) because I like the premise an easy and ecological way to clean the tank of that yucky stuff on the bottom.

I bought this hoping it would do what it suggests, but it turned out far worse than I imagined. The bottle says it will "discolor your water for 48 96 hours" but here it is a week and a half later, and it is getting worse. It is in a 55 gallon tank with live plants that I have had up since 1994. I have never worried so much about the ecology of my tank as I have since I added this product. The tank went rust brown as soon as I added the product, and I was expecting that. But instead of fading in the 48 96 hours it has become worse each day, and now I can not even see fish from one end of the tank to the other. It is a dark coffee brown, and as much as I worry about unbalancing my tank I'm going to start doing water changes out of schedule until I can get the water at least somewhat clearer. At least enough to see the fish anyway. Luckily I only used half of the recommended dose to test things out. If I had put in the recommended amount I can't imagine the tar that the poor little fish would be swimming in now. Okay, now off to start hauling water...

Tetra 26331 Whisper EX Carbon Filter

I purchased these filters for ease of use, because I need someone to watch my fish while I'm away. Just pitch it and install the new one. The only reason I only rated this filter bag a 4 is if you don't mind taking a few minutes to pour in the charcoal and rinse, the box of 12 un assembled filters are about the same price as these 4. These ones are custom cut to better fit my filter 'holder', but the un assembled ones are more squared off at the bottom. They don't fit quite perfectly, yet they still work just fine.

Use this filter since i bought a 20 gallon hexagon tank.Does a great job for what i want.

Yes, bully sticks are kind of expensive. Yes, they stink. But, unlike rawhides, they're fully digestible and do not expand in the stomach or intestines.

I cut 9" sticks in half with a Dremmel, so they last longer. If you're going to cut them, though, be sure to do it outside. I cut one with a Dremmel cutter in the house and it was the worst.stench.ever. Also, don't take them outside in warm weather. They attract flies like crazy!

All that aside, our little shark of a GSD pup loves bully sticks! Inch for inch, this pack is one of the best deals out there. And it's cheaper than replacing our carpeting and woodwork. Everything I expected and more, very realistic simply awesome!!!

Brought this item because it looked like it would "jazz up" my aquarium. My first BIG mistake was that I did not measure my tank to see how well this would fit (I have a 20 gal high tank). As a result the rock wall is about 3 inches short from the top of my hood! My fault as I should have checked before purchasing. But the really big problem is how difficult it is to install the faux rock wall to the tank. The kit comes with two plastic clips that are a total joke -they are just a couple of cut pieces of round plastic tubing that are totally useless. I have no idea how they could possibly hold the wall to the tank. As a result I decided to attach the rock wall with aquarium sealant, which has the necessary strength to hold the wall in place (its very buoyant). Overall the product looks OK, but it really needs to have a system to attach it securely in side an aquarium. It also would be much better if they offered it in a taller size.

Como Artificial Green Red Arch Style Plants Ornament for Fish Tank

I put this in my newly set-up tank for a couple months without fish (while I was cycling it). The plant archway is really nice looking. It is also quite inexpensive for a piece of aquarium decor/plant. As the other reviewer mentioned, I believe it has a wire inside to shape it. It seems well made, and has not affected water chemistry (as far as I can tell). Plus its not a plant/decor piece that you can easily find in stores locally.

I got some corydoras catfish a few weeks ago and they spend most of their time underneath this plant. They really love it! I also have a couple of nerite snails that crawl onto/into it occasionally as well. And as I said before, it is a nice looking plant. Probably my favorite plant/decor piece I have in my tank. I'm actually considering purchasing another one since the fish seem to love it so much.

I recently took the plant arch out to clean it some. And once I did, I found something bad on the underside of it. On the underside of the ceramic base where the plant attaches to the ceramic part, I saw rust. Yes there was rust. There is a metal wire inside the plant, and clearly the decor piece was not sealed properly. Needless to say that it did not go back into my aquarium. How my fishies miss it! But for their health, they do not get it back.

Very nice plant. It has a wire inside so you can actually adjust it the way you like it and it is very realistic looking.

Good filter for a smaller tank, the specs say that this will work for a 10 gallon tank, I would think that this would work better for a 5 or less gallon tank. The water flow is good and the filtration is a sponge like element. No room for any carbon.

I bought this filter to replace the one that came with my little table top aquarium (which broke the first week). This filter is wonderful! It's so easy to set up and it's so quiet you can't hear it. I sometimes have to stick my hand in the water to make sure it's still working, which it is! It provides a little current for my fish which I think makes them feel more at home, like in a natural environment.

When I received this product it was very compacted and not fluffy. You have to fluff it up like a fake Christmas tree, then it can get really poofy or what ever you want. The one that I received was not as blue as I would have preferred(or as shown in picture) Also the blue that was used was not quite as bright enough for what I expected it to be. It was about 50% blue and 50% white, which kind of through off how I wanted my tank to look having it look like a tree is cool, and the little green shrubs at the bottom of it area a nice touch. It looks good covered in gravel. The bottom stand is a weight so the little blue tree doesn't float away. If it was bluer I would buy this again. I will add a few pictures of it too.

Got sick of getting scratched glass with a cleaning magnet and started using a credit card by hand which works amazingly well, but I don't like having my arm in my reef tank all the time.

This is not rigid enough to scrape anything off. It twists and flexes. There's absolutely no way this would ever remove anything without a ridiculous amount of work. I tried removing light film algae from a reef tank. Tried removing film algae in a planted tank. Not even going to discuss a calcareous type of algae as it would be futile to try. Going back to the old credit card method.

Fine product but I wish it was straighter the curve at the blade end limits where I can use it in my reef tank.

About 10 years ago I was researching filters for my turtle tank because it was too difficult to do water changes with the bigger tank I bought for her (30 gal). All the reviews I read said that the Fluval x04 series filters were the best out there so I put down the money for a 104 model and never looked back. I had the Fluval 104 filter for about 10 years before the motor finally gave up last week, waaaay beyond the 3yr warranty that came with it.

To be fair, the 104 was the first canister filter I had ever purchased but I was so happy with it that when it finally died, I immediately replaced it with this newer 105 model. It's super quiet, and easy to setup with the detailed instructions. The best part is how easy it is to clean, just close the aquastop system and take the filter with you to clean where it's convenient. I know this sounds like a commercial but I really love this filter; this is the first review I've ever written just because I'm that happy with it. Hopefully this one will last another 10 years at which point I'll buy another one. FYI: The tank is a 30 gal filled 2/3 with water and houses my 6" painted turtle and the occasional fish and I only clean the filter about twice a year as needed.

After reading reviews for weeks to determine what kind of filter to buy I decided I wanted a canister filter. Unfortunately there aren't many affordable canister filters for small aquariums. Despite some iffy reviews on major pet store sites, this filter is absolutely perfect. The water in my tank is crystal clear and the ammonia levels are zero.

This filter has greatly decreased the amount of time I spend cleaning my tank as well. There's practically nothing to manually clean!

Included in one of those iffy reviews was a comment about leaking. I have to say that I've had no problems with this at all. When setting up the system make sure to apply the gasket and impeller cover correctly. Also, make sure you don't cut the hose too short, a little slack is fine.

Using this in my 20 gallon Nano Reef and keeps the water absolutely sparkling. A friend even commented on how it didn't look like a saltwater tank because it was "too clean". Wow! What a filter! We are using this filter for our Albino Red Eared Slider Turtle. Her tank holds about 25-30 gallons of water. We replace two filters with this one filter and it has been great. I used to have to turn the TV up so I could hear because of our older filters were loud. I can't hear this one unless the water level gets to low. Now it is just a reminder that I need to add water.

AquaTop Aquarium Heater - 200W

Lesson learned: You get what you pay for. The Aqueon aquarium heaters work better (they were recommended to me) but it's almost twice the price on Amazon and even more at the pet store so I got this. I bought it the last week of June to treat ick in a tank. It was always about 3 degrees off but I dealt with it. I used it occasionally, I'd say I used this heater for a total of 15 days before it malfunctioned. I decided about a week ago to buy some tropical fish and I tried to get this to heat to a constant 77 degrees. Worked fine before bed, but I woke up the next morning to dead fish and a tank temperature of 86 to 88 degrees! It was HOT in there! I call the company and what do I hear?

"Maybe your thermometers are inaccurate." BOTH OF THEM?

"Is it hot outside your house?" Does it matter? The tank is INSIDE my house, and my room temperature is a steady 68 degrees. I live in the Arctic. No, it is not hot outside my house.

I don't know about you, but when I get asked stupid questions like that by people blaming everything but their product for a malfunction, I get kind of annoyed. I was promised a refund by the guy I called for support, then their returns department denied it because I've had the unit for almost 3 months. They said they do not issue refunds after 14 days, and if I want to use the warranty I have to pay to ship the item to them! For a $16 heater, that is not even worth my time or money paying to ship it back, let alone the cost of gas to drive to the post office! What kind of "customer service" is that? I'm sure they bet on people not bothering to pay return shipping for the warranty and instead buy a new one!

This heater was not accurate from the start. If it's going to kill my fish and I have to "re-calibrate it" (their suggestion) over and over again to get it to work temporarily, I am not going to use it and risk a repeat of fish casualties. I unplugged it, pulled it out of the water minutes later and it burnt my hand it was so hot. It smelled strongly of burnt rubber. Unsafe. Do not buy Aquatop!!! Spend a few bucks more on a quality product.

I purchased both the 100W and 200W heaters. Both had the same problems. It was not one defective heater ... it's a common problem!

Last time I am buying an Aquatop product of any kind!

That's it! Plain and simple. It says FULLY SUBMERSIBLE even on the sticker that was on the heater itself when I took it out of the box. Until you read the directions that say "Do Not Put Below Water Line"! Seriously? Ridiculous! Misleading they should have to rewrite their product description for false representation. I'm returning the item at my own inconvenience. I shop Amazon quite a bit, but this is total BS guys. Thanks.

This heater's temp setting is as loose as a goose not accurate at all. Tested on an EMPTY (no fishies or plants thank goodness) aquarium that had a heater already in it. Temp was 74. We have 3 thermometers one digital, one float-about, and one glass sticky (which I don't depend on too much, but it gives me a quick reference). Anyway, we put the heater in and let it acclimate for 3 hours. We turned it up until it clicked on. You'd think we'd be around 74, right? WRONG! It was closer to 66. (Maybe it's because we're back on standard time?...just kidding!! It just made about that much sense.) Anyway, thinking maybe the response was just delayed, we turned it down again, and went much slower giving 5-10 seconds between adjustments. Still turned on at around 66.

But that isn't even the worst part. This is: We removed the old heater and watched the temp. The heater didn't click on until the temperature (measured by our thermometers) dropped to around 65, and it stayed on for what seemed to be forever until it reached 76 degrees!! I was just ready to unplug the thing when it finally clicked off. That is one mighty big swing, folks! I'm glad I was being methodical and patient about setting up this new tank, or my fish would have been seriously stressed.

If you care about your fish, and I'm sure you do or you wouldn't be looking for a heater, DO NOT get this one. Move on.

As a side note: Heater is advertised "fully submersible". When you first open the box, the cardboard insert has a sticker on it that says "fully submersible". However, when you read through the booklet, it says clearly to leave the top above the waterline. I found a YouTube video that says they don't recommend fully submersible use. Frustrated, I found Aquatop's email and wrote to them asking if it's fully submersible or not. They said yes. ...for what it's worth!

I set the heater to 80 it heated the water to 105 and was still "on". It's for use on a quarantine tank so it only killed a few new fish, and possibly the bacteria. I am getting a replacement, ONLY because of the limited use it will get. I would not trust running one on one on a show tank. I'll update the review after the second one has seen some use.....

This unit works as it describes and is good at it.

However......... when you take it out of the box there is a "Fully Submersible" sticker that you must take off before putting it in thr water. This is quite funny as it clearly states "Do not put below water line".

So this is NOT fully submersible. I called tech support which was friendly and fast and they said that while they do not really "recommend putting the dial portion of the heater below the water line" their engineers "say that this does work under water fine". So it sounds like it might or might not work, and does not have the confidence of tech support to be placed below water line. Also the top part is much thicker than the actual heater as you can clearly see, however this is a problem as the lip of most aquariums comes out just a bit, leaving you to have to place the suction cups way at the bottom of the heater to be able to grab any of the glass since the top part must be out of water.....
