I bought this with an impeller to try and repair my filter, unfortunately, this product arrived broken and I wasn't able to rig it to the original one to fix my filter. I honestly don't think it would have worked anyways because the hole where this goes was warped and it wouldn't fit properly.

Part came in quickly as described! Using this and another part I was able to take a "free" fluval 404 which was given to me and fix with these parts for less than 20 dollars. So thank you to this seller for taking the time to list these parts on Amazon!

I like the spring green (yellowish green) look of this plant, but I was surprised since it doesn't look like the picture. However it does look realistic and natural...kind of reminds me of wheat.

I bought this to replace a Coralife light. It works fine and was much cheaper. But it did seem like the discount in price was reflected in the quality. It didn't last as long as long as expected, and I'm not convinced it was honest to advertised spectrum. When this one burned down, I went back to Coralife.

If you can get one delivered that isn't cracked, shattered, or just doesn't work, than they are good lights. The 420/460 mix looks absolutely beautiful!

Cat Mate Wall Liner

This doesn't fit the Cat Mate Electromagnetic Cat Flap. The liners connect to each other, but to neither side of the Cat Mate door. Hence you are left gluing and/or cutting to try to make a fit. Neither is acceptable. I had expected to get a liner which slid over the door opening to create a nice fit, but that's not at all what this product is. (Granted the product description does say this product isn't designed to fit the style of Cat Mate door I bought, but Cat Mate doesn't sell such a product.)

With one or more installed, it's virtually impossible to reach the control knob of the Electronic Cat Mate Door. They need to create a the liner the same size as the whole Cat Mate Door (not just the opening flap); or one with a way to control the knob after installation. Furthermore, instead of instructing the user to cut it down to size with a saw and use glue, there should be several small sections so each can connect together to form whatever length liner is required.

All-in-all, this is just a poorly designed, over-priced product. I love my Cat Mate Door and have owned two over the years, but this thing is crummy by comparison. If you have the capability to install the pet door in an outside wall, you surely have the talent to put together something a whole lot better than what this product provides.

***UPDATE***

After doing a whole lot of cutting, filing and gluing, I managed to make this liner work (sort of). It falls far short of what I had expected, but I did manage to get it to work. However I still stand by my 1-star rating due to the poor design and price. IMO, $10 per liner is a ridiculous price for a small piece of rectangular plastic, especially when you'll need to buy two of them to fit through a typical outside wall, then need to cut them down to size for a proper fit for the product this was supposed to be designed for.

Very poor . I have installed the cat mate lockable door through my outside wall. The wall liner doesnt match up with the two components. The inside frame is too big for the liner. Don,t waste your money

Besides the fact that we have to prop it open for the cat (she refuses to go through it open unless she's IN the laundry room and needs to get OUT), this has worked perfectly. We put this in the wall between our family room and laundry room in order for her to access the litter box. Most cats would be able to open the door, but I have a calico who only does what SHE wants, and that is NOT going through a cat door.

NOTE: I do recommend that you measure the depth of your wall to make sure you don't need this extra piece that fits between the two walls. Our wall is is thinner than most, and we needed a 1/4 inch extra, even with this piece to fit between the two (we filled it in with white duct tape, but I do not recommend this option. I am too cheap to order another extra piece).

Pros: looks so much nicer and easier to clean than white duct tape

Cons: extra money for 1/4 inch

Hikari Tropical Micropellets -- 0.77 oz

I was having trouble feeding my small twin tail betta with other larger pellets because he kept trying to eat but ended up spiting them out. I researched online and found these Hikari Tropical Micropellets and thought I would give them a go. It has been over a month now and my betta just absolutely loves them. This is my first review ever, as this is the one and only bad time ive ever had with my 3 years of amazon prime. I received dead fixture + bulbs on arrival, after trying 3 pairs of bulbs, I decided I want to get a refund. I contacted Big al, and they said sure, provide the package and we will give a full refund as long as it is not working as I claimed, and its not missing any items. After a whole month of talking back n forth and finally getting the okay to refund, they tried to say that everything was working FINE and it was my fault. They said they plugged in the lights and it lit up light a christmas tree, and my sockets must of been bad. I instantly filed a claim, and btw, the customer service rep "jessica", enjoyed her time of giving me trouble, she made witty remarks such as "i dont know how you had such a hard time plugging in the lights". Worst customer service ive ever had, they tried to scam me, amazon saved me, i will never buy anything from big al and i warn any people that if they want to avoid dealing with broken products do NOT buy from this seller

CURRENT, the manufacturer was great. I told them I have dead bulbs and they sent me new ones no questions asked. Its BIG AL that tried to bend me over and take me for a ride. There is no way you can take my broken fixture and bulb and tell me they were not broken and it was my sockets fault. As soon as I told them I filed a claim they instantly stopped e-mailing me. Fair enough. Product itself from what I could see was very poorly designed, as in kind of cheap feeling and placing the docking mounts require you to unscrew the hardest screws in the world.

I think the product itself is a great price and great item, too bad i received a dead one. The price is great for the specs

I've had this light for a little over a year now and I have zero complaints. I have it on a timer, and every afternoon it turns on, every night it turns off. That's all I ask. Using the docking mounts, I don't have any issues with dark areas in my tank. From what I've seen, you can't beat it for the price.

I didn't realize that this fixture has only 24 inch bulbs.. That was my fault.. It leaves large dark spots on the sides of the tank.. I would look into one that has bulbs that scale the entire length of the tank next time.. I had to purchase supplemental light fixtures to cover the dead spots and an LED moonlight strip.. At the cost to make this what I wanted I should have just got a higher priced light from a competitor.

For what it is it is decently built though. Just be aware before you make the purchase.

Lee's 5-1/2 Original Undergravel Filter, 7-1/2-Inch by 15-Inch

I use this size in my 5.5 gallon betta tank and a larger model in my 50 gallon along with a hang on back filters and the water is crystal clear. The only reason I mark them down is that their replacement cartridges are frequently ill-fitting and tough to replace. I'm not sure if there's some secret to this or if mine are just badly molded parts but every so often I have this problem. You can use them without the cartridges and as long as you have a hang on back or other filtration you'll be fine.

It was difficult to put together. The little clear o-rings were very stubborn. In the end, it was annoying to get in and didn't really do what I wanted. Of course, I wasn't sure I wanted an undergravel filter. I'm pretty sure my opinion isn't worth much on this product. Just stretch out the o-rings before you try to fit them on. :)

Conceptual Creations SCC1015 Turtle Landing Floating Resting Pad

This turtle landing was larger than expected, but actually the perfect size for my slider turtle and he loves basking on it all the time! I was worried he wouldn't be able to get on it very easily but he figured it out after a day or so just fine.

Overall it's a nice basking platform. Maybe it was just mine. The size is perfect it's just that the plastic was cut wrong and the plastic broke very easily

MR. Aqua Plastic Check Valve

I've had these blue check valves for air pumps on a 46g and a 24g Nano for 6 months. these check valves DO have an arrow for easy setup. I haven't had any backflows after 6 months. The product works as advertised, and they are the best looking check valves available IMO. They especially look sharp on my aquarium with the black tubing.

The air valve that you receive does not have an arrow on it, therefore, you have no idea which way to place it on your tubing. Also, all packaging and writing is in Japanese. Not helpful, and not a good product.

It's well made but nothing to write home about, especially at the high price. Also, it is clear (transparent), not blue as pictured. (I think that's the picture for the Hagen Elite brand)... Anyway, I'd recommend you find a "Elite"-brand check valve and NO other. They are the most durable, long-lasting, and well made. And affordable.

wanted a check valve on my co2 system. Have one in place but you can be to safe. For the price I like that I can change it out every year or so as plastic is not recommended for Co2.

TrueLumen 36-Inch TrueLumen Pro LED Strip Light, 8,000K Sun White with Canopy Brackets

While the quality of manufacture and finish of these lights is very high, as is the level of customer service, I have found the 8,000K Sun White lamps promoted by Current USA as "the perfect spectrum for freshwater planted aquariums or refugiums." to be poor at encouraging the growth in a planted tank. To be fair they give off a very nice white light that shows fish well, and they supported reasonable growth in cryptocoryne, cardamine and wisteria, however they failed to meet the needs of most other plants I tried, including ocelot swords, amazon swords, bacopa, rotala, cabomba, lotus, madagascar lace leaf, aponogeton, baby tears, chain sword, sagittaria, and vallisneria. Even with CO2 and Flourish supplementation growth in these species was absent and over time they eventually died off. It was not until I removed two of the four lights strips and replaced them with 6,700K HO fluorescent lighting did plants respond positively. Given the price of these strips, it is very disappointing to have $260 in lighting I cannot use as intended.

These strips are fine if you are just looking to illuminate your fresh water tank and want the shimmering effect and energy savings that comes with LEDs. BUT Current USA would do well to stop marketing these as "perfect for planted tanks" and develop a 6,000K or 6,700K (or a blended 6,000k + 8,000K strip similar to their marine Pro LED) version of their Pro LEDs for aquarists who keep planted tanks as the quality of illumination from these lights remains consistent throughout the day and the shimmering effect much preferable to high output or VHO fluorescent lighting. Further the reduced energy consumption and much lower heat generation is highly desirable.

I bought this because the hood I had was older than Methuselah. The plastic housing was so brittle that pieces were starting to break off. When the ballast went out -again -and crumbled into dust when I tried to remove it, I decided it was time for a new light fixture. The guy who maintains my aquarium recommended LED lights instead of fluorescent, so I did some research and found this one. It was easy to install to the bottom of the lid of the oak canopy that fits over my aquarium, but it came with "feet" that can be used if you don't have a canopy. The only negatives so far: (1) the size was just a little too long to install it horizontally, so I had to install it diagonally instead. (2) the price. This is a lot more expensive than fluorescent. (3) When the aquarium maintenance guy takes off the canopy, he has to unplug the light first, and remember to plug it back in. (not so much a negative as something to be aware of.

It's supposed to last longer than the fluorescent bulbs I had. I hope so, because I would hate to pay the cost of this light very often. Also, the light is better, brighter, and makes my plants grow better, which is why my maintenance guy suggested it in the first place. I knocked off one star on account of the negatives I mentioned, but so far so good. I really have no complaints, and I like the fact that I don't have the bulk of a lighting fixture under the canopy anymore. It allows easier access to the tank.

OK light came today 01/24/2013. That was fast!! The bubble wrap in the box was a little sparse, but after closer inspection, every thing seems to be alright, and in working order. I have a 36 Gallon aquarium. A fully enclosed hood with a T8 florescent light. I placed both light strips in my light hood, by Velcro. They are maybe 1/2 inch wide by 19.685 inches long, and very lite weight. Plenty of room.

The white light (even with both strips of lights on) was a little dim, compared to my florescent light. The colors emitted by the LED light strips are very nice soft and crisp depending on the color and dim control settings. The reds are red and the blues are blue. I feel it has a good moon effect at night and that is really what I bought it for, again a little dim but we talking about the Moon.

Zilla 11837 Terrarium Digital Thermometer

I just purchased this thermometer today to measure the temperature of my bearded dragon's enclosure. It is a great basic thermometer that seems generally accurate. The fact that it is only about $10 means it is affordable, yet the fact that it is accurate, digital, and easy to read means that it is a better buy than similarly priced thermometers without the digital screen. A reason I did not rate this thermometer a 5-star review is because it takes about 2 minutes to read the actual temperature. This does not pose a problem for me personally because the measuring probe stays stationary within my beardies enclosure. All in all, this product is affordable, easy to use, and accurate.

Works well. Love the cord for the tempature guage. It is thin enough to fit between my tank and the slide in lid and it does not cut off function.

I'm using this in an aquarium. It worked flawlessly for a few months, during which my only complaint was it took ~20 seconds for the temperature to update. After a while it started giving me non-sensical readings typical of a broken probe. Tapping the probe or jiggling the wire usually fixed it. Sometimes it gives me seemingly reasonable but wrong values (e.g. 90F rather than 80F). For the most part it works fine as long as you don't move it.
