For the price, it's not worth it.

It is a very nice piece, but the holes are not as big I would like.

The holes are good for small fish like Cory catfish to swim in but nothing bigger which is a shame.

Underneath is a good size for smaller loaches, plecos and smaller catfish but I suggest you dig a hole in the gravel to give fish more room underneath it.

If this was $20-$25 it would be well worth it, but for over $50 do not buy.

I installed this item in my aquarium right away. It warmed the water in our 55 gallon tank fairly quickly. I was impressed.

Pros:

Visual appeal Thermometer/heater unit anyway.

Temperature is easy to read.

Heats quickly.

Keeps water temperature constant.

Cons:

Thermostat looks cheap and is hard to hide because its attached so closely to the the unit that you need to keep it close.

Programing the temperature settings is more difficult than most units.

Suction cups that hold the thermometer/heater unit are poorly made causing them to constantly lose their grip. I am continuously having to replace the suction cups to the inside of the tank.

Over all the unit works as I need it to. I have a 55 gallon tank and it has no problem keeping the water at the required temperature. I purchased this unit in January and have had it now for a little over 3 months. If I have any issues I will let you know.

Finnex used to be a top brand with heaters that worked for years and years. Now the warranty only cover 180 days because if it lasts much longer you are on borrowed time.

Time to find a new brand for me. These are far too expensive to be disposable.

Impeller Assembly for Emperor 400

Unit arrived as promised. Will definitely order again in the future if needed. Replaced the old impeller in the Emperor 400. Fishes are happy.

It is exactly what it says. I bought a used Emperor 400 filter and the old impeller was bent which made the filter extremely loud. This one fit perfectly and has made the tank far more enjoyable for my ears and also for my fish who are now getting proper filtration.

I need to order some more of this soon. It worked well in my pond, helped improve the water... easy to use. No complaints.

I've had my pond for 8 years with fairly good results each year but I thought I'd skip the UV light this year because I wasn't THAT happy with the results last year so I tried this product instead. I drained out all the winter water and leaves, and fish too of course. I then power washed my pond liner and filled up with 750 gallons of fresh water. (I do that every year)

I put in the necessary chlorine drops and the 1/4 cup of this stuff along with two capfuls of pond bacteria which was also recommended. The water was crystal clear and the fish looked very happy for one week then I couldn't see them anymore!!!!! The water is soooooo green the fish have to be within 2 inches of the top to be seen. I put in a 1/4 cup each day for the next week and it showed no improvement. This extra amount of chemicals can't be good for the fish. Very disappointed. I'm going back to the UV light on my filter and chalk this up to experience. As a matter of fact I ordered the Laguna (PT 262) Original ClearFlo 1400 Kit which has a built in UV light. I'll be getting it tomorrow. I hope the fish are still alive down there in the abyss.

The product I received is NOT the one in the picture. The one pictured has organic looking bottom, and looks like a one piece design that's very 3 dimensional. But the one I received has a very industrial cheap end of plastic mold bottom. Worst, it's not one piece at all, it's just 2 totally separate flat pieces, that does not even clamp together or anything. I'm just too lazy to return it. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK. Noway is this worth 6 bucks, maybe a dollar it's OK. 2 mold stamped flat pieces of plastic is not worth anything.

Eheim Jager Heater 9" 75 Watt

If you've kept aquariums for a few years think how many times heaters have done in your livestock...this heater is the best there is. Bulletproof glass (keeping you and your pets alive) and solid electronics to maintain a reliable temperature. I've had virtually every other brand fail in one manner or another. Not these.

This is the first and only heater I've purchased and so far it's great. It very easy to set and once plugged in, it cycles on and off to slowly heat the tank to the set temperature. I appreciate that it cycles on and off to slowly bring up the temperate gradually making it less stressful on the fish. Once it's fully heated it will hold the set temp and is accurate to 1/10 of a degree. I have mine set at 78* and my external thermometer stays at 78* to 77.9*. Pretty accurate if you ask me. I purchased this mainly for it size, I have it in a 10 GAL tank and submerged to the minimum level its about a half inch or so from my gravel. Perfect height for a 12" tall aquarium. Eheim is known for their build quality and reliability and even so offers a 3 year warranty so you really can't lose. If you're looking for a great compact heater, you can't go wrong.

I have a hatchling red eared slider in a 20 gallon tank that needs to be heated at 80 degrees and this heater does the job I only gave it four stars because I had to set it at 73 degrees in order to get the water to 80 degrees but other than that it's the best investment I have ever made.

Zoo Med BettaTherm Submersible Betta Bowl Heater 7.5 Watts

I almost gave up on finding a heater that actually lived up to the standards in their descriptions. Two others that I tried never went past 72 degrees, although the descriptions said they went to 78 degrees. This little BettaTherm heater is the absolute best. It stays at a consistent 79-80 degrees. My Betta, Clifford is just thriving in his 2.5 gallon bowl. He is so much more active since I put in this heater. This heater takes up no room, is flat and covered by your rocks on the bottom of the bowl. There is a suction cup that holds the cord nicely against the side of the bowl. I would say..stop looking at other heaters, this is the best out there.

The heating power of this product is way underestimated.

It says it can raise a 1-3 gallon tank 5-10 degrees above room temp. I woke up the morning after i installed it and found my 2.5 gallon betta tank at 86 degrees with a room temp of 65. I'm glad i didn't buy this product in the summer or he'd probably be dead.

Without any kind of built in thermostat you have to constantly monitor your tanks temp and plug or unplug the heater.

It might be safe for a 5 gallon but if your tank is any smaller than that this heater is too powerful.

I've had this heater for a few days in my 1 gallon bowl, and it certainly does well at keeping the water warm. You can't set it to a specific temperature, though, so you really need to keep an eye on how hot your water gets. My room temperature is at about 70 degrees, and this heater usually keeps the water at around 80. Sometimes, though, especially after it's been on all day, it gets up to more like 85, and that's a bit too hot for my betta.

Basically, this heater is nice to have, but buy yourself a thermometer to go with it, and don't let it go unwatched for very long.

Tetra Pond Tubing, Corrugated, 1 1/2 Inch x 20 Feet

Well I bought this item along with the 3600gph tetra pump and the 1500uv pressure filter. Everything worked great...at first. Came home from work today and found the hose had burst and drained my 800 gallon pond. Luckily I put it on a shelf so there was still about a foot of water for my fish. My plants however did not like being stranded in 95 degree weather and I doubt they will recover.

I had my old 1200gph pump connected to the tetra waterfall filter, that pump overheated and the shaft melted so it's now garbage.

In conclusion the cheapest part, the hose failed after less than 2 weeks and it will cost me a $120 pump, probably $50 in plants, and 600 gallons of water, I hope the fish don't die.

Beware.

They may claim this is 1 1/2" hose but not one of the 1 1/2" barb fittings I used would fit inside this hose. 1 1/4" barbs were too small and would have leaked. I didn't have time to return this dimensionallly incorrect product so I took my 1 1/2" barbs and ground them down with a belt sander until they fit. The product is "inexpensive" only if time and effort don't matter too you. I do NOT recommend this hose.

Very thin walls and does NOT have a inside diameter of 1-1/2; more like 1-1/8 or 1-1/4. Furthermore, I would strongly suggest NOT burying this. I decided to just use it for very low pressure applications; mainly backwashing.

I received 15 live cherry shrimp after them being in the mail for four days. Although they were all alive and healthy I must say they were pretty small | | about that big more or less and without color, but the color mostly came back. So far it has been 3 weeks and I have had zero deaths and there were no DOAs I would recommend this product to someone looking for some shrimp to clean up your tank and the price is great at about $2 per shrimp it's $4 less then I would be paying at my LPS

I just bought a bunch of these and they are great! They are easy to take care of and fun to look at. Right now, they're about 1cm long but they're supposed to max out at 4cm and live 1-2 years, so I'm looking forward to seeing them grow.

They are easy to maintain, just tablets and natural algae and detritus in your tanks. Just make sure you have plenty of plants and hiding places for them. You can pair them with non-aggressive fish too.

If you have male and female, they will breed when mature. Most freshwater shrimp are pale or translucent colors so I'm glad to have these liven up the tank. Anyway, so far so good!

This box did just what it said. I've used it to acclimate my fish. It is very easy to set up. The water flow rate is very simple to adjust and works well. The only negative, and I knew this from the description, was that I could not hang it on the back of the aquarium. My stand is against the wall and there is not enough space behind the aquarium to do this. Also, I have a Marineland cover which hinges on the back. That and the glass canopy under the cover would not allow it to hang on the back either. This was easily remedied. As it was not meant as a permanent fixture, I hung it on the front of the aquarium and allowed the canopy and cover to rest on it in front. It wasn't opened very wide. The cover was still effective in stopping most evaporation and allowed the in-cover light to do its job. The result: the fish were happily acclimated.

I used Kent Seasquirts (and still do for other things) but this is the best tool for target feeding your corals. I found that the kent product was good, but it doesn't allow for changable tips.. so you need to get 2 if you want to cut a tip larger for more meaty feedings. With this, you can get a 3 pack of changable tips cut them to fit your needs for particular feedings.

I also like the seringe style.. With the baster style feeders I tend to loose more food trying to gently get it out of the tube with this it's very easy to spot feed individual polyps. great little invention. and you can't beat the amazon price.

Cleaned up my mess because I had failed to ensure proper oring placement....put it together right and it took off and has been skimming away ever since. Would recommend it to customers.

The collection cup feels bit flimsy, and as stated in other comments it has a tendency to create messes while you are figuring this thing out lol. A word of advice, if the intake tube doesn't fill up with water, put your thumb over the venturi air tube till the intake fills up. I also attached airline tubing to the drain spouts so if it over fills(happened only once and it was my mistake) the over fill is directed back into the tank :)I LOVE the fact it doesn't produce micro bubbles too! That is a huge plus for me!

While this skimmer looks great, makes good froth, and removes a good amount of protein, beware... If you over-generate bubbles, the collection cup will fill, and it will spill out of the edge where the lid clips on both at the front and the back, and your carpet will get wet.

If you like the "delux upgrade" parts, beware... Fill the media container with something that will eventually clog and reduce flow, and this section of the pump will fill above the lip line below the collection cup (a mere 1/2" or so), and water will spill out, making your carpet wet.

If you are lucky and have correctly adjusted the syphoning intake, the water loss will be limited to a few gallons and the pump will cease taking in water as the water level drops in the tank.

This is not well engineered.

Aquarium Fish Tank Protein Skimmer Filter with Power Head Pump

This skimmer will work a little but it will take you awhile to get it right. It is difficult to adjust properly to get it to actually skim and not just fill the collection cup with water. Also it is a "In Tank" skimmer and it takes up a lot of space. I had it running in a 55 gallon tank and it looked terrible. If you are planning on getting a skimmer please, for your and you tanks sake buy the best protein skimmer you can afford, preferably a hang on back (HOB) skimmer. That will save you precious tank space and will look a whole lot better. If you need something quick this will do, but it doesn't work very well and its an eyesore in the tank.

i have had this heater for a few weeks. its in my 55 gal. it is a quality heater. a thick cord. good suction cup holder. safety feature in case you forget to unplug. keeps temp in my tank at 80F. easy to set dial. indicator light tells you when its heating.

one note... if you place jager heaters in less water then they are rated for, you need to set the temp lower by as much as 5 degrees.

for example i have a 75w in a 10 gal filled with 5 gals. set at 76F thermometer reads at 80-81F.

I have 2 of these in my 90 gallon tank. I have the temp set at 79F and I have never seen the temp at anything other than 79F. They hardly ever kick on, and when they do they aren't on for long. I keep my house at around 70F, so they do a very good job at regulating the temp in my aquarium.

Marineland PA0100 Filter Pad, 312-Square-Inch, Bonded

First of all, this is a lot of filter pad. 312sq inches which is 12"x24". I use it to make "boots" for my over the side filters. I cut and sew them to fit, very easy and fast with a needle and thread. This filters out a lot of junk and your filters last longer inside. I just rinse them when I do my water changes and put them back on. It also keeps your fish from being sucked into the intake, which seems to be a problem with the larger filters, especially for small fish or lazy beta's. My fish swim right up to the filters and pick the food that is stuck to it. A great product and I have made boots for all my tanks.

Seems to work well in my canister filter. The pad is highly porous yet thick, this makes for good pre filter media. It will remove the big stuff, keeping the majority of your media cleaner. Also it is very cheap, this allows you to replace it more frequently. This order of 312in^2 provides a large amount. So you can cut it and create several prefilter pads at a great price.

I use this to wrap my filter-less pump in my pond. This product does a great job trapping dirt and particles, it is also very easy to clean and reuse. great to used as a pond filter.

What more can I say? It's filter floss, it works like intended and it allows me to replace the silly cartridges that most filters come with. I use this stuff in all my filters instead of paying for new cartridges that often come with carbon and other things you don't need on a regular basis.

Let me Start this off that the shipping for this is 18 daysfree of course. It arrived in a week so im rather happy about that. While these are cute little moss balls for decoration, they really aren't for an aquarium. They don't sink, i drilled a small hole into them to see if maybe air was getting trapped, the inside is like insolation foam almost.While im sure its probably safe for fish, the issue is it can't go into a fish tank because you will have floating "rocks" of moss. Im probably gonna use them for decor for my bamboo tank that has no free-standing water, but im gonna give this a 2 stars because it's sold for aquariums and it can't go into one. Cute for anything else that you want a mossy rock without the work of growing them.
