None of the local stores carry this anymore so I was happy to find it on Amazon -at a very reasonable price too.

It arrived from the vendor in a long tube box and wrapped in tons of bubble wrap.

They obviously have learned from their mistakes in packaging in the past (see other reviewers) and did a great job with my order. No complaints at all!

This tubing arrived bent in a 180 degree angle in a box that was too small for it. Why not ship it in a poster tube?!!

Luckily I only need a short section to complete my co2 diffuser, but where I'd normally keep the leftover piece for future use, I think I'll have to toss it. What good is this bent up to me? I don't think I should have to resort to heating it to straighten it out like the previous commenter.

Revisit how you ship this thing!

Do not buy this if you need a 36" x 1" diameter undergravel riser tube since they ship a 3/16" outside diameter air hose tube, as described further down the page. The 36" small tubes where coiled in a 20" x 20" bag and needed to be heated up to get them straight again.

I am writing this summary for the rigid tube pipe. This tubing is use full in a variety of jobs from connecting air line tubing to air line tubing or using for a rigid spacer between air line tubing and air stone, or as an outlet for your air making big bubbles. it is also used as a rigid gude for your air line in an under gravel filter. I am sure it has a dozen or more uses also.

What's to say? It's rigid aquarium tubing. Its OD fits nicely into standard flexible aquarium tubing ID. My only critique is that the seller bent it to package it and it stayed bent. That wasn't the end of the world because I only needed about 18" of straight tubing.

Python Squeeze Siphon Starter Aquarium Adapter

Since the description is pretty lackluster I will re-describe the product:

First of all it is made for tubing that is either 1/2" or 1/4" These are the most common sizes for gravel suction hoses. It comes with 5 parts pre-assembled and a extra adapter for the 1/4" tubing. The rubber squeeze bulb is just that. There is the 1/2" adapter on one end. The other end is the the drain end which has 3 parts making a ball valve. Also this product is made in the U.S.A.

At first I didn't think the thing worked I squeezed several times and nothing. I read the instructions and it still didn't get it to work. Thinking that maybe it was clogged I opened it up (super easy to do, which is great if the pump every gets clogged with stuff you suck up)and realized how it worked.

In order for it to work you must have the draining end of the pump facing UP(They completely failed to mention this in the instructions). Once you've primed your suction tubing you can point the drain down into your bucket or wherever you're draining. The reason for this is the valve will be open if the drain end is facing down so when you squeeze the air pressure won't build up--air will just go out the drain end.

Anyway the product works great, which is great because although I love Snailbert (my snail) I am absolutely disgusted by him at the same. Now I don't ever come in contact with the water in his tank.

One downside is that I personally think it's a bit expensive, but maybe rubber is expensive or maybe it's because it's made in the the U.S.A.

This bulb doesn't really work the way I expected it to. I expected it to start the siphon so I didn't have to pump the tube up and down in the water. But it doesn't do that. It will only start the siphon if you get it partially primed by pumping the tube. Plus, it's not marked for inlet or outlet or the flow direction, so you have to mess around with it to see which is the suction end. On top of that, it just doesn't create much suction. It comes apart easily, which may also be part of the problem. It was kind of a lot of money for something that doesn't work very well.

Much better than trying to siphon with your mouth or putting the hose in the tank most of the way. I actually modified mine to work with the little cleaning siphon hoses. I put a smaller pipe fitting in the suction side (coated with aquarium safe sealant) and let it dry over-night. The next day it worked GREAT with the smaller hose.

I should have bought this item long time ago but must have forgot about it.

Good thing I remember and decide to buy it.

I attach a air line hose to this with a rigid tube and do my water changes with this baby...usually I use it for nano tanks and shrimp.

You have to turn the python upside down and give it a squeeze to build the pressure, then turn it right side up and your good! Water start flowing and now you can do you water changes. I fill up with tank with this the same way.

Nothing beats sucking up tank water!

Just note that it does say random picking, I did think it would be at least similar to the pic above, ie a "branch" grouping, and mine was like a log on its side. But saying that, I put it in my tank anyway and it looks great.

Although the base had to be reattached before it was put in my tank it looks great with it sitting in 3 inches of substrate and is 2 inches from the top. Good value.

Aquatop IPF-305 Aquarium Internal Filter

I ordered these filters to assist during my weekly cleaning of a turtle tank. My canister filter does a great job of keeping the water clear but during water changes and filter maintainence, the water becomes really cloudy and dirty when all the dirt and grime that settles on the rocks and sand is stirred around.

These filters are incredible! Firstly, they come with various adapters that make them useful in many aquarium situations AND the flow rate is adjustable. Secondly, and most importantly, they work great. I replaced the filter media supplied by Aquatop with a slightly more dense sponge material (the sponge included with the filter is too porous in my opinion) and they work perfectly. I could not believe that my turtle tank was crystal clear within 30 minutes of a water change. Usually, it takes 2-3 hours with my having to stir the water repeatedly so sediment can be suspended in the water and flow through the canister filter.

Needless to say I ordered 2 more of these, just to keep around. Excellent filter with excellent flow.

Poor quality. I know why it is 20 dollars and has only one review. The power was weak. Didn't stand up to my 40 gallons, even though it says up to 100

My husband was looking at an additional Filter for his 60 Gallon tank but was trying to avoid a canister just yet.

This fit perfectly!! couldn't have asked for a better product! The only thing wrong was one of the handles seemed to be broken or irregular, but it still works just fine for me. All in all, very happy with the purchase!

It fits on our 125 gallon (technically 117gal. I think) tank. We needed it to keep the water from splashing up onto the lights. The only thing I wish it had was some kind of cushion under the edge or corners on the side with the handle. I am a little nervous the glass would break if the lid accidentally slipped and closed with force. What I did to ease my fear was put cushioned double sided tape (leaving the backing on one side) I had on the front corners. But of course they need to be replaced every so often when they get loose from getting wet.

FYI Our tank is 72 1/2" from end to end. I wasn't sure these would fit before I bought them, but took the chance and it paid off.

Kordon/Oasis (Novalek) AKD37656 Rid Ich for Aquarium, 16-Ounce

After I apply the Rid-Ich, the water immediately turned blue. The fishes look very uncomfortable at first, and surely enough the sickest fish died next day. But after a few more days Ich is gone. The medication is very strong, when I accidentally got some of it on my hand the stain seem to be permanent.

It also kills other fungi, which is a good bonus. I had some fish with another fungus infection that rots their fin, and Rid-Ich got rid of those too. Good product but may kill weak fish.

I currently have a 125 gallon aquarium with about 45 different types of Loaches, which if you don't know are incredibly susceptible to Ich. I had grown tired of using other ich treatments as they were always to strong to use on my loach species being that they are "scaleless" fish and cannot handle normal ich treatments and also cannot handle large amounts of salt. It was paramount to find a treatment that I could use at full strength without worrying about killing my loaches. After researching I saw Kordon come up repeatedly as a preferred treatment for many fish keepers. So I went to order Kordon Ich Plus right away. At the time I received the treatment my Clown Loaches in a month long battle with a terrible ich outbreak. So I poured in the recommended amount on the bottle, with the temperature at 84F, and a 75% water change my Clown Loaches were showing no signs of ich anymore. After a month of using the treatment I was ensured that all ich was eliminated from my tank. Since then whenever I introduce a new young fish into my tank I add Kordon Ich Plus to my water as insurance to make sure my tank will not become infected. I give this product five stars because it cures ich speedily and without harmful effects to my fish. Since I used this product I also have not had another outbreak of ich. So I can say that I'm very happy with this purchase.

When I do a water change sometimes it stirs up the gravel bed and the fish muck. It has been my practice for years to use this product at half strength in such cases. It seems to prevent shock and parasitical or fungal problems in that environment.

I also suggest if you have silver colored fish to go half strength. IE, Silver Dollars, Tinfoil Barbs, etc. Silver colored fish seem to be more sensitive to this product.

I use this at the first signs of stress or disease in the tank. Follow with a water change and another treatment for best results. I rarely have to do this more than twice. For what it is worth my fish are going on seven years of age. This product has been my first line of defense and really works.

After months of bad advice from people at pet stores, the condition of my beta was so advanced I was scared the rid ich wouldn't be shipped in time to save him. Rid Ich works! Just make sure that you do not over-medicate your fish and that you have time to observe him after each doseage.

I had one bumblebee cichlid that looked terrible. He was lethargic, covered in white spots, clamped fin and a rotting tail fin. The other fish were acting a little odd. They were scratching themselves against rocks quite a bit and werent eating much. I used Rid ich for 4 days and they were all completely healed (except for the fin rot which is getting better). It worked like a charm. The down side is that it stained all the silicone in my tank such as in the corners. I wish this product didnt stain because it really does work well. I think next time I'll try to use heat and salt to heal my fish because this stuff is ruining my tank.

I have a GloFish tank and bought this because the color seemed vibrant. Well...once in the tank under the LED lights this purple is completely flat. Only the green plastic plants light up and the blue is OK, but the purple, red and orange are dull.

My fish love this food. The granuales are fairly small which is perfect for smaller fish like Damsels and Clown fish. Most of the food sinks reasonably slowly, so don't feed too much at one time. Not all retailers sell this food, so stock up or buy it when you see it.

I read the previous reviewer recommending this for starving tanks only. I have a total of 9 plants in my tank with all of them displaying problems, so I figured it fit the criteria. I was having some issues with my plants showing signs of stress and this was recommended to me by a local fish store. As protocol when I try anything new in my tank, I monitored my water parameters closely. I used 1/4 of what was recommended because it was something new to the tank, but 12 hours after my first dose my nitrates were between 80 & 160 ppm (56 gallon tank)!!! Also my ammonia was at 0.75 ppm. My fish were in serious danger, so I immediately did a 30% water change and added Seachem Prime 500ml as usual.

I thought the error was mine as a result of possible over cleaning of the gravel the day prior which would result in a mini-cycle. I decided not to use the Kent's again until I was able to get my parameters back into order. So a week later, and 3 partial water changes my parameters were back within normal ranges again. I again tried the Kent's using 1/4 of the recommended dose. 8 hours later I tested my water again and my nitrates were again above 80 ppm, ammonia was up to 0.50 ppm and nitrites were 0.25 ppm. It was very obvious to me that it was not my water changes and cleaning causing the issue, but the Kent's. I saw no improvement in my plants, but it mostly likely had to do with me conducting quick water changes.

I don't want to say this product doesn't work because I was not able to keep it in my tank long enough. However, it is likely not suited for tanks with live stock in it. You would need a very highly planted tank. I wish it would have worked for us, but it just was not the case.

When I purchased this I didn't realize that its primary source of supplements to plants came in the form of nitrates. Nitrates are generally the result of the breakdown of waste in aquarium from uneaten fish food as well as fish waste. General rule of thumb is you don't want nitrates in your aquarium as high levels are toxic to fish.

It became apparent to me that the purpose of this product was to supplement a 'starving' tank. All live aquarium plants use nitrates as a food source. Without any nitrates the plants would die. This product is best suited for a heavily planted aquarium with few fish to lace the tank with waste products that would otherwise be broken down into nitrates that the plants would utilize.

Final answer. If you have a heavily planted tank with few fish this just may be the very thing you need. Check it out in that case. If you have a lightly planted tank with a reasonable to large amount of fish, AVOID.

This looks really cool in the tank, but the one sent was not the one in the picture with the ruffled shell. The standard clam shell shape was sent.

When I got this product I thought it was really cute still, but I was expecting the one in the picture, which it is not..

Also, the one in the picture looks bigger, and the one I received is smaller!

My clam was more of a purply-pink colour with bits of yellow!

Aquarium Fish Tank Protein Skimmer Filter with Power Head Pump

This skimmer will work a little but it will take you awhile to get it right. It is difficult to adjust properly to get it to actually skim and not just fill the collection cup with water. Also it is a "In Tank" skimmer and it takes up a lot of space. I had it running in a 55 gallon tank and it looked terrible. If you are planning on getting a skimmer please, for your and you tanks sake buy the best protein skimmer you can afford, preferably a hang on back (HOB) skimmer. That will save you precious tank space and will look a whole lot better. If you need something quick this will do, but it doesn't work very well and its an eyesore in the tank.

I purchased this product dispite the reviews already posted and I have to say there were right this product is not an effective protein not at the least but the only thing you will get is an headache from the product and the company not responding back for a return which the will not return and a very good pump planning on using the put in my sump it moves around 500 or do gallons but again don't buy
