This is a great 50/50 light, I bought this to replace the crappy bulbs that came with light fixture. And it working great only had for a couple of months now but coral are spreading and growing great.

Aquatic Life Retrofit Polished Single Lamp Reflector Aquarium Light with Clips, 36-Inch

I used this to build a DIY light fixture for my aquarium with T5HO bulbs. The reflectors work great and get twice as much light into the tank as before. The only issues I had were not with the product itself, but with the lack of availability of T5 end caps that are the appropriate height. I had to use fender washers and stack about 8 of them up to bump out the reflectors so they would be positioned correctly and line up with the end caps. Also, be aware that the reflectors themselves are only 30" long, so the bulbs, being just over 34" long, extend past the reflector a little on each end, however, I don't feel that this interferes much with their effectiveness. I still get more than enough light and it's focused down into the tank with almost no spillage.

This is a very misleading ad. It displays a 40 gal. Breeder Aquarium with Versa tops and is priced accordingly. The reviews of the product which also indicate that the items purchased are an aquarium and tops. Not so. The seller charged me $234 for two aquarium tops which, on the open market, cost about $40 apiece. I will be returning this product.

I heard the glass moving before I had even opened the package. When I opened it, I was consumed in a cloud of powdered glass and surrounded by shards of glass in all sizes. The top itself is great, works like a charm. The packaging: a cardboard box around another cardboard box containing the glass top, is simply inadequate to harbor such a fragile load. Plus, I found top at my local Petco, it was only 40ish. On this website it is 60 ish!! Lesson learned, get off your butt and GO TO THE STORE.

This is one HEAVY top and I like it. I did not put the back piece on since the couple inch gap was no big deal for me. I have 2 turtles in this tank so only have the water level at about a third. Unlike my previous top, this one should still be fine when I'm dead and gone.

I first saw this in a shelter and the kitties there loved it. I later purchased one for the cat I adopted. In our first 15 minutes of play, I turned my back and less than 2 minutes later, 6 inches were missing. I looked everywhere and was certain she'd eaten it. Took her to the emergency vet right away.

Although others have posted that their cats were able to pass it, our cat required surgery to remove it from her intestines.

cats love this toy, of course. mine loved it too much and would drag it around day and night until i came home one day and saw that she had eaten most of it the ribbon.

luckily she puked it up two days later and we didn't have to take her to the vet, but it could've been bad.

don't assume your cat won't eat it too. just keep it in a drawer and take it out at playtime.

When I purchased this I was specifically shopping for a "dangly toy on stick" that I could drag around for my cat, who loves to "hunt" anything long and stringy. Sometimes after "catching" the toy, he will carry it off in his mouth to his "lair" (inside of a closet). It's hysterical to see him dragging it around like it's real prey.

What I like most about this toy:

1. The "stick" is short relative to the "dangly" part, which means the cat has more to play with. On other "dangly toy on stick" toys, the part available to the cat to actually play with is quite short relative to the stick.

2. The toy appears very well made (in America no less!) and the dangly part seems very securely fastened to the stick. I have heard of other such toys where the cat was able to pull off the toy part from the stick.

3. The dangly part is not just a string/piece of ribbon attached to a stick. The fabric is folded over so it is 2 sided and is tapered to a "point" at the end. The kind and cut of fabric means that when you move it from side to side, the dangly part moves sort of like a snake. A plain old piece of string or ribbon doesn't do that.

As someone else stated this toy does require supervision. The company has indicated as much on the tag that comes attached to the toy, clearly stating that cats should NOT be allowed to chew on it. In fact, no cat should ever, ever be left alone with any kind of string-shaped toy.

We always put this toy away in a place well out of my cat's reach when he has finished playing with it.

Lixit Cat Treat Jar, 16-Ounce

When I buy cat treats I buy them in bundles. This often leaves me with no place to store all of the excess packages until they need used. This saves me space and it is very space savvy. Each jar holds around 4 bags. I highly recommend this. I am going to buy several more for different kind of treats.

I found this jar at a feed store when i was out of town. It is big enough to fit about 2-3 packages of cat treats (depending on size of bag). Jar has a tight seal so your treats stay fresh. All in all good choice for the price.

Mammoth Flossy Chews Twister Pull Tug with Ball

We gave this thing to our (I call him a Blab) 34 pound Basset Hound and Lab mix at 5:30 pm. He was then let outside about 30 min and around 7:15 I took the pictures I'll be posting. The ball is half gone at that point. At just over the two hour mark there was no tennis ball left. I guess he is pretty strong for his size, but he has had real tennis balls since we got him almost a year ago and they are all still going. Even the one I hit with the lawn mower isn't destroyed yet.

The ball was gone in no time, but this has been one of the best toys I've had to play with him. It's good for pulling and heavy enough to throw a good ways also. The rope part has held up okay. I'm thinking I might get another and then find a way to put a real tennis ball on it after the cheap one is chewed off.

Been using the Seaclone 100 as a hang-on a 36 gallon tank for about 2 months, and have had no problems. It removes scum very effectively, and is easy to empty. The quick disconnect makes it easy to remove the intake tube, leaving the pump attached to the tank, and simply lift the unit off the tank for cleaning. As for adjustments, I simply leave the air intake almost completely open, just snug enough to keep the valve from falling out, and it works perfectly. As for long term reliability I'll just have to see, but don't see any reason to dislike this unit. If it only had a surface skimmer I would give it 5 stars.

I've used a SeaClone100 hanging on back of a 55-gal for about 10 years and it works fine. Keep the O-Rings fresh, clean the joints, intake and filter and it will last for years. I use another SeaClose100 on an 80-gallon and I have to empty the cup every two weeks. Can't find better in this price range.

Aquarium Airline Tubing

Snip off what you need and save the rest, or use it all. Either way, at this price, who cares? The per store wanted over $10 for the same length if tubing.

So far, the ends have hardened and slipped off of their connections several times. I never had this problem with airline before and it is becoming a pain with this airline. It works just fine for a while and then the ends start falling off their connections and have to be trimmed and reinstalled. I won't be buying this brand airline again.

Acurel LLC 100-Percent Polyester Filter Fiber, 5-Pound

This filter fiber was purchased to use in my refugium for my reef tank. This is a lower quality product than the filter fiber I typically use. This fiber breaks apart very easily and you must use numerous pieces to make one large piece that will serve as the filter. It comes apart so easily I am a little concerned that some of the tiny particles may get into the aquarium and cause problems with the health of the fish. It has also has a much different texture. You cannot beat the price though I will not purchase it again.

Lees Aquarium Stealth Airline Sleeve 25 ft

Black stealth air line tubing is really brilliant for most aquascaping applications. Two of my tanks have a black back one with glass for substrate and one with black sand in the other.

It's a great look for both.

Clear tubing stands out like a sore thumb and really is an eye sore.

The matt finish of the Stealth won't catch the light so it literally disappears in the tank delivering a cleaner visual and better aesthetic.

Regardless of how you've designed you aquarium I think the black tubing is a major improvement of the clear you won't notice it as much. Plus should any gunk build up along the inside wall of the tubing you wont see that either.

This a great deal for 25 feet and I always have extra on hand for new air wands, bubble walls and sponge filters.

Another nice feature is the tubing is very soft so fittings are a breeze regardless of the application.

White tubing looks ugly after a while, and it stands out so much. This tubing is very black. My background on most of my tanks are black, so it blends in. It easily adapts to my different size pumps, but isn't loose enough that it slides off. 25ft is a lot of tubing.

biOrb Bubble Tube Guard

The tube guard is a great product. Especially if you have small fish on your Biorb. The guard does not interfere with the bubble coming up trough the tube, my only comment is that the guard should had been included with the stared package.

Also does a good job of keeping the bubbled up water from accumulating on the light.

bought this a few weeks agoI'm sure it would work well on most small fish but if you have skinny fish like danios this product is useless. Just freed another one from the filter yesterday. Also we shouldn't be charged extra for this. Should have come with the original kit.
