Works good! It keeps the green at bay in our tank. Hasn't harmed any fish. My ornaments are clean. What else is there to say about this product? It does what it in intended to do.

I was skeptical about this treatment. I always thought that it might harm the fish or not work well. I have to say, after our fish tank looked cloudy and then the algae took over, I was willing to try anything. After one treatment our tank was the best it had ever looked. I would recommend this to anyone who has a cloudy or algae infested tank.

This product works very well with help. I started having a great deal of algae in my tank a few months back despite frequent cleaning. The area where I have the tank gets direct sunlight no matter what I do. I noticed that this product took about 1 bottle over a period of 2 month to begin to work well. I used a brillow pad to scrub the rocks and other items in the tank free of algae and I had to apply the product directly to those items + the filter and let it sit before putting them back into the tank. The algae amount was less and less after each application when I would clean the tank again. I cleaned my tank every 14 days when this process started and within 2 months was able to get an extra week before cleaning.

T5 HO Fluorescent Lamp Colormax

I have this bulb in front and a 6700k bulb in back to make my plants grow. My tank is high, like 22". When the fish swim within the top 12" to 16", this bulb makes their colors look soooo much deeper and richer. Power blue and dwarf gouramis look irradescent. Cherry shrimp glow bright red and red wag platties and swordtails have deep oranges. The powder blue gouramis look kinda lame in petsmart under the normal lights and I was kicking myself on the way home for buying it, but once it swam near the colormax bulb, I was glad I got him. One of my favorite fish now.

I was pretty skeptical that a bulb could make much difference to the colors of fish. I figured it was just another one of those things they market to get more money out of you, but this thing actually is worth the money.

I have had it 6 months now, on for 9 hrs a day and it is still working fine. (Knock on wood)

I read the reviews and was expecting it to be smaller then what it decribed and to have sharp edges, it is huge, it takes up a lot of space in my 35 gallon hexagon tank which is what i wanted as the main orniment. I didnt find any serious sharp edges, some minor edges that can be easly sanded down.

I have owned this filter for a couple years now and it works brilliantly, it always quickly gets the water crystal clear after I have muddied up the water from cleaning the aquarium, it is very easy to use and clean except for the biological media bouncing all over the place like bacteria infused Kix cereal and the priming feature is brilliant. Also this thing is in the open in my bedroom and I can't hear a thing as long as I put a pad under it so it doesn't vibrate against floor. The only complaint I have is the water pressure dropping over the years. When I first bought it, the ecco 2234 would put so much pressure into the tank it turned it into a river with the current, the fish used to go swim in the current like salmon. Unfortunately no amount of cleaning and scrubbing and replacing filters gets the pressure and water circulation back to what it was when I first bought it. I had purchased this for a tank that is half the size the filter is rated for so the filter does absolutely fine even with the weak pressure. I would recommend this filter, however make sure you buy one that is rated for a much larger tank.

I own all three versions of the ECCO Pro series, and they are all terrible quality. The handles are cheap plastic and easily break. I've replaced the cheap plastic piece that holds the handle several times. Worse, the motors lasted about a day longer than the warranty. It's been a total of 2 years, and I have ONE functioning ECCO Pro filter...and that's because I've used spare parts from all the broken ones. Eheim is a good brand, but this model was Eheim's attempt at the "entry level" market. Fail. There's a reason most stores don't carry this garbage model anymore. Get the Eheim Classic. Proven design, long history. Avoid this one.

Ehem makes the best aquarium pumps. But that is not saying much, many of the others are not good at all. This one is easy to prime and has quick disconnects but if air does get inside the pump can over heat and burn up.. Had to send mine in the warranty replacement and it takes WEEKS at least. (Eheim needs a a service center here in the US, for US customers)

It is still the best, just could be better.

i looove this filter. i upgraded my 20 gallon to a 40b so my hob aquaclear filter wasnt going to cut it. i have a pleco like that loves to poop and poop and poop. you know the drill. so i went to look for a good canister filter. in the end i decided to go with a fluval since the reviews are almost always great for them. i went to petco to pick one up and while waiting for them to get the one for a 80 gallon i was walking around and noticed they had this one on sale for on $70. eheim is a very reliable brand so i said what the hey. ill try it out. well ive had it for 3 months now and it is super awesome. i only cleaned it once and it was very easy to clean. it comes with all the media. my tank is crystal clear and my fish are happy. also, the filter is sooo quiet. sometimes i think its not working because i cant hear any noise coming from it. so i put im hand by the output hose to check and i can feel the water flowing. i didnt buy it from amazon but decided to put a review up anyway since there isnt to much info on this product. even though amazon sells it for more its totally worth it. i would definitely by it again. btw, the filter media is a little difficult to come by but the fx5 filter media fits if you just trim it a little (blue sponge and water polisher).

I made one mistake, I looked directly at the light when I first turned it on to test it.

When I put the light over my tank the light penetrated all the way to the bottom, and the color was great. My tank is 26" deep and I've had trouble getting lights that can penetrate that deep. This light does it covers the whole front of the tank.

My light comes with a connector to add 2nd light as soon as I can. I was told that the manufacture was changing the fixture so you will be required to buy a the splitter as a seperate purchase.

I bought 2 24" strips, and I should not have. These do what they say they do. They are BRIGHT! I really didn't need this much light over a 50 gallon planted tank. Ordering the 8,000K strip next.

I replaced two 65w bulbs with these lights. I got the diamond white and fusion strips. They work really well together. Provides enough light for my 52 gallon corner tank. If you are looking to have coral, you need to keep them up high (few inches away from the water level) because just 2 will not produce enough light to reach the bottom. 4 of these will definitely do it.

I use these lights in a Walmart shoplight fixture 1 UVB bulb and 1 regular bulb for extra brightness....these bulbs seem a little dim on their own, but i know they are for UVB and not overall brightness...also write the date you install them with a sharpie on them somewhere, because you should replace these every 6 months or so...they lose their UVB producing power over time...i replace mine once a year at breeding season(feb-march) because thats all i can afford to do....and because tax season helps with the money...keep in mind i have to uy like 6+ bulbs at a time because i have 20+ lizards

They do look beautiful once in, but the next day...., the tanks were SUPER cloudy and the water smelled like silicone valley!!! My fish were definitely NOT acting like themselves very lethargic and pushing their gills out with force. I was SO scared that they were going to die. I pulled the silicone anemones out of the tanks as fast as I could. Then the fish and completely changed their waters and the filters which by the way were pink with the pink one and blue with the blue one. I am sure that they would have died if I didn't care and was only concerned with how pretty the product looked in the tanks. What a waste of money!!!!

After about 4 weeks in the tank it started to fall apart. I noticed hot pink chunks floating around in the tank. Had to do a full water change and tank it out right away. I replaced it with a nice red silk plant that looks just as good.

Just wanted to update everyone on the pump. As of 4-4-13 it is still running great, with no noise. Don't hesitate to purchase this. Same product local fish stores are selling, only cheaper.

I ordered the Rio Plus 2500 HP Aqua Pump for my 90 gallon pre-drilled fish/reef tank and have had it running about 1 month. I did a lot of research, which included calling local fish stores to see what they recommend. For the quality and price you can't beat this. The only small problem I had was it was a little to large for my wet dry when I had the bottom plate on with the suction cups. I removed the bottom plate and suction cups and set it on the bottom of the wet/dry.I didn't want any noise so I placed a piece of the filter sponge (About 1/4 in thick) under it and what do you know "No Noise". Also, don't worry about pressure, because it pushes the water great through the tank. So much water movement, it is moving my sand around. This is an excellent product.

This pump is a little bigger than I expected, but. It has a heart and soul and it has a good amount of flow even with 4-5 feet of head on it. I bought two, and one is pushing just fine against nearly 8' of head and delivering water.

I needed to fill a swamp cooler from a clean water reservoir on a regular basis and it will move what water is needed in a moment, no more muss fuss or bucketing. And no hesitation or feeble trickle at 8' of head.

I have also set up a multi unit stepped goldfish holding/breeding setup with 100-300 gallon units (5 and climbing)and a barrel filter plus an end pond holder with plants of around 600 gallons and one is easily delivering the water from one end to the other with excellent flow and turnover against about 4-5 feet of head. I did have to fit a custom made mesh (7 holes/inch) 'strainer basket' on the intake to slow down the water speed at the surface of the basket (not restricting my inflow) and catch some of the loose (algae and other detris) material and prevent a fish from being vacuumed to the intake... but this pump is doing an awesome job.

The number of attachments included looks like 'what the (bleep)' but I was very grateful when I started assembling and found things like the garden hose attachment.... that is one great plus. A very large number of items to tailor intake and outflow to whatever task you need to set it up for is a very BIG plus with this pump.

I have not seen what my electric bill will be for running two of these but I am sure it will be a lot less than what I was using before that were also not as powerful in output and much bigger.

I am a little worried about the impeller but it seems to be well made and putting out. Time will tell if they will stand up.

For the money this is a (deleted) um... heckuva ... pump.

this pump is very quiet and and when its on it has great waterflow however I wouldnt buy it again bcause I have only had it for 2 to 3 wks and I have had to unplug it 2 timeseach time I had to unplug it it was hard to get it to get going againmy husband had to take it completly apart and put it back together to get it to come back on now I feel like I need to have a pump for backup because it seems this one could go out at any minute I have it on a 55 gallon reef aquarium and cant afford for it to go out but there are times when I put say an anenome in my tank that goes missing and I'm afraid it is going to get sucked up and want to be able to unplug the pump for a minute you cant do that with this onewhen it happened I googled it and found that is a very common problem with this pump-I am going to spend the extra money and get an Ehim

I tried Dr Tim's Nitrifying Bacteria after seeing a recommendation from Mr SaltwaterTank that you could cycle a tank more quickly with this product. I set up a new 60 gallon tank with 20 gallon sump. I dumped in Dr Tim's and two clown fish the same day. I did bring several pounds of live rock across from another established tank to help with the transition. I am several months in now and never had a problem or any spikes. The fish are doing great and I didn't have to wait weeks to get fish in the tank as old wisdom has trained everyone to believe to be necessary. Kudo's for this product.

Started 20 gal Fish Only, Bare Bottom Tank with this product. The fish were being moved from an existing tank. I made up my salt water to match the fishes existing environment, used an un-seeded canister filter and simply added "One and Only". Tank has been up and running fro 6 weeks now. The fish never missed a beat. This is the first time, for me, in 30+ years of fish-keeping,that an additive performed exactly as claimed. After loosing far too many fish (belonging to my grandchildren, but living at Nanny's house) I began looking online for a line of products with great customer reviews. I found Dr. Tim's. I spent quite a bit for the following products for my 10 gal. fresh water aquarium One and Only, Waste Away, Clear Up, Refresh. After once again loosing two gorgeous large butterfly gold fish to ich, I started over with two new Carandas and these products. I was able to put the fish in on the same day using Nestle's purified water which is all I use. The water stayed clear and clean and I've had very little upkeep. I use these products weekly, rinse the filter in between new filters and I've had a gorgeous tank with two of the most beautiful fish I've ever seen one red head with white body and one very bright dark gold. Yes, they are a bit expensive, but when you consider the cost of new fish and replacing everything each time you have to start over Dr. Tim's is well worth the money. They also have great customer support.

Don't bother with the cheaper products it's just not worth it in the long run. If you can afford it, use Dr. Tim's.

I ordered this item along a similar product, Exotic Environments Stick Up Aquarium Ornament with suction cup back "Red Sea Reef with Brain Corals". Please note that the product featured on this page has a flat side that is intended to snug up against a wall or flat surface. Nice color and the suction cups seems to be pretty strong...it stuck on the wall of my tank without slipping even before the water was added. Keep in mind that these pieces are kind of chunky...almost as thick as they are wide. Wish they were a little larger and maybe flatter to cover more of the surface of my overflow box without sticking so far into the tank. Even so, they are a neat accent piece and I will probably be looking for a few more like it to decorate the back wall of my tank.

I have been very impressed with this product and have noticed lots of nice growth and coloration on my corals since I started using it. The smell is not bad at all and I do keep it in the fridge although it says on the bottle that it does not require refrigeration.

Como 5 PCS Plastic Fish Decoration Aquarium Tank Ornament

Swims like a rock. Found the bottom faster then the things I drop by accident. My Betta barely checked this one out at all. All five did the same landing right side up and did very much look like a fish sitting on the bottom. Rather attractive sitting there but I did not buy it to sit. again like the other one that just sat at the top, it becomes just one more thing to clean and might have done well had it floated at mid level in my ten gallon tank.
