Fish Tank Aquarium Light 36" 6x39w T5 HO Actinic Fixture

Fish Tank Aquarium Light 36' 6x39w T5 HO Actinic FixtureI was a little uncertain on this, as it had few reviews at the time. However, this device works flawlessly so far, and my live rock are thriving and more colorful under it. The device has three independently programmable timers on it (just one power cord for the fixture): The first for the front three lights, the second for the back three, and the third for the 6 LED 'moonlights'. I have the first and second turn on/off for 12 hours each, programmed 2 hours apart, to allow for twilight effects natural to the specimens. I have an open-top 40 gallon breeder, which this covers perfectly edge-to-edge. Splash-guard is thin, but it's not at all an issue for the purpose of it. Very little heat is cast on the water with the device on the (included) leg brackets. Will try to follow-up once corals are added.

I ordered two of these lights for my 200 gal. planted tank at a great price. I got them both for the price it would have cost me for one of a more popular brands with the same options. Quality it a bit on the lower side, mostly the splash guard is thin plastic. I removed because I have a glass top. but the timer and lights work flawlessly and for half the price I'll sacrifice a little quality. Also there are no fans to make noise which is great. There are plenty of air vents to dissipate heat. I did wish they offered a freshwater model with all daylight bulbs but I replace the actinic bulbs with flora bulbs for 60 bucks. All in all I'm in it 380 for the fixtures and new bulbs and the plants are thriving. Which it all I needed, Great low price option!

The lighting that this fixture provides is great, but a light that is advertised as 36" should actually BE 36" when assembled, right?! No mention in the item description of the legs causing the assembled fixture to far exceed 36"! The vendor did send a return label if I wanted to return it, when I contacted him, but I decided to keep it and hope I can find some type of legs for it.

ColorBurst Florals Large Bush Plant Orange

ColorBurst Florals Large Bush Plant OrangeProduct came as specified and looks wonderful. The reason I'm not completely satisfied is due to the fact that upon installing the decoration to the aquarium a piece fell off and wound up floating around in the water.... Could have been constructed sturdier. Satisfied (for the most part)

EHEIM Ecco Pro Easy 60 External Canister Filter Up to 60 US Gallons

EHEIM Ecco Pro Easy 60 External Canister Filter Up to 60 US GallonsI have owned this filter for a couple years now and it works brilliantly, it always quickly gets the water crystal clear after I have muddied up the water from cleaning the aquarium, it is very easy to use and clean except for the biological media bouncing all over the place like bacteria infused Kix cereal and the priming feature is brilliant. Also this thing is in the open in my bedroom and I can't hear a thing as long as I put a pad under it so it doesn't vibrate against floor. The only complaint I have is the water pressure dropping over the years. When I first bought it, the ecco 2234 would put so much pressure into the tank it turned it into a river with the current, the fish used to go swim in the current like salmon. Unfortunately no amount of cleaning and scrubbing and replacing filters gets the pressure and water circulation back to what it was when I first bought it. I had purchased this for a tank that is half the size the filter is rated for so the filter does absolutely fine even with the weak pressure. I would recommend this filter, however make sure you buy one that is rated for a much larger tank.

I own all three versions of the ECCO Pro series, and they are all terrible quality. The handles are cheap plastic and easily break. I've replaced the cheap plastic piece that holds the handle several times. Worse, the motors lasted about a day longer than the warranty. It's been a total of 2 years, and I have ONE functioning ECCO Pro filter...and that's because I've used spare parts from all the broken ones. Eheim is a good brand, but this model was Eheim's attempt at the "entry level" market. Fail. There's a reason most stores don't carry this garbage model anymore. Get the Eheim Classic. Proven design, long history. Avoid this one.

Buy EHEIM Ecco Pro Easy 60 External Canister Filter Up to 60 US Gallons Now

Ehem makes the best aquarium pumps. But that is not saying much, many of the others are not good at all. This one is easy to prime and has quick disconnects but if air does get inside the pump can over heat and burn up.. Had to send mine in the warranty replacement and it takes WEEKS at least. (Eheim needs a a service center here in the US, for US customers)

It is still the best, just could be better.

i looove this filter. i upgraded my 20 gallon to a 40b so my hob aquaclear filter wasnt going to cut it. i have a pleco like that loves to poop and poop and poop. you know the drill. so i went to look for a good canister filter. in the end i decided to go with a fluval since the reviews are almost always great for them. i went to petco to pick one up and while waiting for them to get the one for a 80 gallon i was walking around and noticed they had this one on sale for on $70. eheim is a very reliable brand so i said what the hey. ill try it out. well ive had it for 3 months now and it is super awesome. i only cleaned it once and it was very easy to clean. it comes with all the media. my tank is crystal clear and my fish are happy. also, the filter is sooo quiet. sometimes i think its not working because i cant hear any noise coming from it. so i put im hand by the output hose to check and i can feel the water flowing. i didnt buy it from amazon but decided to put a review up anyway since there isnt to much info on this product. even though amazon sells it for more its totally worth it. i would definitely by it again. btw, the filter media is a little difficult to come by but the fx5 filter media fits if you just trim it a little (blue sponge and water polisher).

Want EHEIM Ecco Pro Easy 60 External Canister Filter Up to 60 US Gallons Discount?

I have had this filter for two years now. It works like new, my water is clear like the day I changed it. The filter is very quiet, easy to clean, and you can create your own combination of filtration layers. I would reccomend it to anyone who wants a good quality filter for a relatively low price. And the best part about it... it's virtually maintenance free since you only need to clean it once every 3 months. I love it!

Acurel F 25

Acurel F 25I usually only review products when I'm blown away and this product prompted me to sit down and write this review. I established a 30 gallon freshwater aquarium and about two weeks after it was stocked with fish the water started to get quality. It was very annoying because the water was very clear previous to this. I knew that the aquarium was cycling and the cloudiness was natural but I didn't have the patience to wait it out. I came across the same video that a previous reviewer mentioned regarding the pet shop owner who was recommending Acurel and after reading customer reviews on Amazon and Petco's website with people who were raving about it, I decided to try it. I put the first dosage in last night and within 45 minutes you could see the results. It got much clearer but not as clear as it was before the cycle began. After some of the cloudiness returned today, I gave it a slightly larger dose and an hour later...that tank is CRYSTAL clear. I mean it looks like the fish are floating on air. The fact that this product does not affect water chemistry is amazing. I'm blown away by the results this product gets and I urge you to buy this right away if you are having water clarity problems in your fish tank. But DON'T forget to do your weekly 10-15% water changes to assist with the cycling process because this product does not lower ammonia or nitrate levels.

It's a Miracle!!!

I haven't had a decent clear tank of water since I first set up my tank. It's a little 5.5 Gallon. The only time it was clear was when I first filled it. Since then... it's been various levels of cloudiness. I filled it with Well water. I added the recommended conditioners. It being a new tank, I added "seed" fish (Fathead Minnows). All but one of the fish died. I had a very bad case of New Tank Syndrome. I decided to start over. I cleaned the heck out of everything. This time I used Spring water. I added the conditioners. It started out crystal clear... but after a couple of days, clouded up again. I used a water clarifier... a floculant type... it did zip... a waste of money. The water tested OK... but remained cloudy. I decided to be patient. I did a lot of research... joined forums... I followed all the advice I could find about setting up a new tank... and getting the water right biologically. I added this, that, and the other thing... as recommended. Nothing Worked. I used 3 other water treatment products that all made fantastic claims about creating a crystal clear, biologically balanced, environment in my aquarium.

2 1/2 months into it with my cloudy tank, and just one Fathead Minnow left... he was from the first batch... apparently a hardy little guy. Just for fun, I added a Crayfish that I found in a nearby creek (tons of fun, extremely entertaining, super hardy and easy to care for... and gets along great with my Fathead Minnow). He's doing awesome, but eats vegetables, algea wafers, frozen shrimp, etc... anything/everything you throw in the tank. The water was always cloudy... and I thought, with the salad bar my Crayfish was eating... the water would never clear up.

I wandered into Petco to browse around. I found the "Acurel F" and read the label. I thought, Ok, I'll bite. I bought the "Accurel F", but didn't get my hopes up. I followed the directions. I added 2 drops per gallon (the minimum recommended amount). About 2 hours later I checked it. It was very clear, a significant difference... but I thought not quite a 100%. I added 5 more drops. The recommendations were to start with 2-4 drops so I was still in the range. Within 4 hours, as stated on the package... Crystal Clear Water. Beautiful!

My recommendation... start with the lowest dose... and work your way up as necessary. I've been maintaining the clarity in my 5.5 Gal. tank with just 2 drops a day.

"Accurel F" Awesome Product.

Penn Plax Betta Aquarium Tank Kit

Penn Plax Betta Aquarium Tank KitWe have had 2 of these tanks and they seem to be OK at first. They don't look bad and it's small so it doesn't take up much space on top of a book shelf or a dresser. But we have and 2 of them. I never put the trees in because I was afraid the fish would hurt themselves on them seeing as the space is limited as it is. The first tank we used the "water release cap" every time we changed water unless I was going to clean the whole tank. One day I cleaned the tank and the next morning the water was almost completely drained, poor fish! And the DVD's, VHS videos, and the CD's I had in the shelf that the tank sat on were all wet! I was extremely unhappy so I took it back to the store and got my money back. I went back to the pet section of the store and talked to the department manager who said they have never had a problem with them and sell several. So she convinced me to get another one. I brought it home and set it up but this time I haven't used the water release cap in the bottom of the tank, I only poured the water out of the top of the tank to change it. Well, I will say that this tank lasted a little longer than the first one but again, this morning I woke up and found the poor fish almost dead in about a quarter of an inch of water and again, my shelf of CD's, DVD's, and video tapes all wet again! I have called the company this time but of course, they were busy "helping other customers" and I had to leave a message for them to get back to me. They have yet to return my call.

So, the bottom line with the product, if you value your pets and your furniture and don't want to put your fish bowl in a bowl to catch the draining water, is don't waste your time and money on this fish tank. It will cost you more in the end to replace the damage that it does than buying a decent tank to begin with will.

I was pleased with the design of this small beta tank, although ultimately it has the same limitations as the Betta View Hex.

The Penn Plax Betta Bow-Front Kit is surprisingly well-thought out: the bow-front makes for the best view possible, without the slight distortion you see in the Betta View Hex. Both come with a little gravel and tiny plant.

A nice improvement is the undergravel sifter (I can't call it a filter; there are no mechanical parts) with the drain hole (water release cap). This hole makes it easy to remove debris and water from the bottom, since it's really too small to get my gravel vacuum in.

I had to force my gravel vacuum into the Betta View Hex to clean it, which disturbed my white female housed inside and quickly sucked out half of the water before I could properly vacuum the gravel. With the Bow-Front, this isn't an issue, and it's easy to replace 20% of the water weekly, or as needed.

Another improvement is the little slot to slide the fake plant bottom into, so it doesn't float free and drift around above the betta, like the plant does in the Betta View Hex.

I like the top better, too. It has two depressions for easy lifting, and larger air holes than the Betta View Hex. I can even feed my betta through these slots, and help keep the warm air inside by not removing the cover.

The Bow-Front Kit's gravel is marketed as 'waste-absorbing crystal', and the manufacturers recommend monthly replacement.

Unfortunately, the Betta Bow Front Kit I brought home from Wal-Mart had a crack along one of the seams, and it is growing. I didn't notice the crack until my steel blue boy was already housed in it. When I purchase his larger home, I will exchange this product for a new one. As always with Wal-Mart products, look over your purchases carefully. I've seen too many imperfect returns placed right back on the shelf.

To sum, if you have a choice between the Hex View and the Bow-Front, the Bow-Front is a superior product.

Note These tiny betta homes get toxic for your fish very fast if you don't change the water on a near-daily basis. If you can keep up with this level of care, this is a very nice mini-tank. Alternatively, you can remove your sick bettas to this tank from their larger homes if you need to treat them for an illness like ich.

Java Fern "Large Mat" Live Aquarium Plant Microsorum pteropus

Java Fern 'Large Mat' Live Aquarium Plant Microsorum pteropusThis java came in a little over grown to the point that it was growing on its own leaves. But! This was a HUGE and very healthy mat! I had so much left over I went ahead and set up another aquarium! The root was healthy nice and green! They come on a coco fiber mat that can be a little hard to tweese out but is probably best left on and then tethered to whatever you want it to grow on. Again, awesome mat, looks just like the picture only twice as big! Keep in mind too order in the cooler months to save the plant some black spots. Very very well packaged and came in great condition. Would and probably will order again :)

I have two non-working outside fountains that are too pretty to toss out but perfect for mosquitos and goldfish. These plants help keep the water clean and the goldfish healthy along with a place to hide from birds. They are very hearty and pretty and add to the overall look I'm going for.

Como Aquarium Fish Tank Blue Silicone Mini Sea Anemone Ornament

Como Aquarium Fish Tank Blue Silicone Mini Sea Anemone OrnamentIt is super soft and moves great in the light current my little filter makes. Glows under the blue LED light setting I have as well. The best part though is my Betta LOVES this thing. He swims along the tentacles and rests on top of it and even tries to snuggle inside it! So glad I found something else I could add to my Betta tank for him to interact with and enjoy! A "MUST BUY" for Betta lovers!

I didn't realize how lovely such a simple aquatic decorative item could be, small as it was, but it added to my tank's colorful decor, and the fish took to it immediately. They were curious, attracted and often "hang-out" near this ornament.

I love it! Please note, however, that the "small" is much smaller than it appears on the webpage, despite the fact that the size dimensions are included in the product description's details. Small is great for up to a 5G tank, but bigger than that, definately go for the medium, or large. And choose a couple vibrant colors. They are worth it, for the price, and as I said, the fish LOVE these little "anemone" ornaments.

This has got to be one of the best things I have ever gotten for my Bettas. I currently own two bettas and got this blue Anemone as well as the orange one for my other fish. My bettas love it! They both will play in them and swim through them repeatedly. One of my bettas actually sleeps in his every night. The silicone is sturdy and doesn't come off when in the water. I have had mine for 2 months now and they are still lasting. Well worth the price tag, highly recommend it.

great way to set up something new into your tank. This is a cute little guy. the site really should tell you what size it is, as you may have limited size in your tank. This one is small and can be used in almost any size tank.

Want Como Aquarium Fish Tank Blue Silicone Mini Sea Anemone Ornament Discount?

PROS:

Totally realistic! The silicone anemone appendages sway with the water and really trick the eye into believing it is alive.

Great hit of color in a tank. The blue is especially gorgeous, as it has little pops of red on the tips.

Easy to install and stays put. Does not float up to the top or any other such nonsense.

CONS:

While I was thrilled at this decoration when I first put it into my son's dragon/volcano-themed fish tank, I later grew irritated when after a few months it turned greenish-yellow on its appendages....uggggh!

I tried cleaning it, but to no avail. I think the dyes in the fish food discolored the silicone. Our tank runs pretty clear, thanks to the awesome AquaClear Power FilterAquaClear 70 Power Filter 110 V, UL Listed (Includes AquaClear 70 Carbon, AquaClear 70 Foam & AquaClear 70 BioMax, so cleanliness was not a factor.

Would I buy it again?

No. I paid too much for a decoration that just didn't last long enough.

For a cheaper price...maybe.

Actually, I am considering using silicone toys Puffer Ball 4 inch, 3 Tonecommonly used as party favors. They look EXACTLY like this anemone and are only a buck vs. the nearly ten dollars I paid for this short-lived anemone. My only issue is I am not sure if they are safe for fish.

Aqueon 06091 Gravel Tube, 18-Inch

Aqueon 06091 Gravel Tube, 18-InchI bought the hose kit and it came with such a short gravel tube that I ordered this one. I have a 55 gallon and the tube it came with was short but perfect for smaller tanks. With this item, I don't have to get my hand or arm in the water. Highly recommended if you need an extension.

I don't have a large tank only 30 gal, but this longer tube should have come with the kit to start. it makes cleaning a lot faster since I can just put it into the rocks at the start, instead of having to drain water first (to avoid getting wet). definitely a must-buy if you have a larger tank.

Saddened that this was the only size option for my gravel vac. It's too long by a good 6 inches to be useful. It's currently sitting behind the tank, thinking about what it did.

pros: long, large diameter, filtrate a large amount of water in a very short time.

Cons: can easily suck a medium size fish into it.

Want Aqueon 06091 Gravel Tube, 18-Inch Discount?

I bought this for my Aqueon water changer, which I've used and loved for several years without issues. This extension has ruined it.

It is clearly a larger outer diameter than the tube that comes with the Aqueon water changer. As a result, it simply will not fit into the slot. I'm very curious to know how the other reviewers got it to work. Perhaps theirs were sized correctly and I got a bad extension or my original water changer is somehow different from theirs.

Regardless, I attempted to solve the problem by using a Dremel to grind off some of the outer layer of the extension tube so that it would fit. Well, it fit more of less, but not without cracking the slot on the water changer and pretty much breaking it. That piece cannot be bought by itself and necessitates buying a whole new hose.

I am going to attempt to use some silicone to plug the crack and hopefully continue to use it, but I thought that I should warn everyone that the extension tube might not actually fit their Aqueon water changer.

JBJ 3gal Picotope Aquarium

JBJ 3gal Picotope AquariumI love my little Pico Tank I have it set up as a Saltwater Reef The filtration was no where close to being enough I had to upgrade and also add a heater have easily spent over $200.00 on top of the cost of the tank. I would suggest 95% water changes every other week in this tank and daily top off as evaporation is about an inch a day if not more. So over all its a lot of work but well worth it for the over all look! The only thing I havent done yet is add LED lighting which Im starting to see is a must for my reef I will use it in combo with lighting that comes with the tank. I would say this tank is best used for fresh water.

San Francisco Bay Brand ASF71109 Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp for Fresh and Saltwater Fish, 20gm

San Francisco Bay Brand ASF71109 Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp for Fresh and Saltwater Fish, 20gmDon't be like me and wait too long to learn that the ingredients contained in the standard flake or pellet food are inadequate.

I have a few larger sized fantail goldfish in a 40 gallon tank. Since I am a casual fish owner I just always assumed the flake food and pellets contained the correct ingredients to provide a fish with a balanced diet.

I was wrong. And, now I am looking at my most favorite fish in the tank next to me sitting on the bottom of the tank suffering with constipation.

For months this fish would swim and lay upside down. It was upside down as much as it was right side up. It wasn't until it stopped swimming altogether that I realized I had neglected to balance it's diet properly and it is severly constipated.

Brine shrimp are recommended to prevent this condition. And, your fish won't necessarily exhibit clear signs like mine did.

So, add this item to your fishes diet and do them a favor. My fish love it, and go crazy when it hits the water. Time will tell if I waited too long for the upside swimming fish.

In my opinion there are a lot of fillers in this product. It is difficult to tell by the label (see below) since I don't know the make-up of brine shrimp, just basing that on appearance. But, there is a product out there that is not in chunk form and is not grey-ish in color. It is pure, freeze dried brine shrimp. No fillers. When you open the bottle there are literally small shrimp you take out one by one to feed the fish. I won't mention the brand or store out of respect for this product, because it works great also!

Crude Protein: Min 55%

Crude Fat: Min 7%

Crude Ash: Max 18%

Crude Fiber: Max 3%

Moisture: Max 7%

This is one food I can honestly say all of my aquatic pals love. My african dwarf frog, betta, danios, tetra, etc, ALL love this stuff. It's kind of clumpy and in my opinion needs to be broken up/shredded a bit. But other than that, this stuff is great.

Buy San Francisco Bay Brand ASF71109 Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp for Fresh and Saltwater Fish, 20gm Now

I'm not impressed by this food. It seems to disintegrate to powder rather than anything resembling actual brine shrimp. The shrimp powder is too small to catch the fishes' interest which just ends up with unfed fish and a polluted tank.

Fish Bubble

Fish BubbleThe moment I saw these on Chiasso, I had to have them. But I didn't want to spend $100's on them. This was a perfect purchase! I would NOT recommend using them as fish bowls unless you can clean them out daily. They have no filtration and start to look not so awesome after a few days of fish eating and business-doing! Maybe plants or other non-living decor!

i am buying this to put plants inside of to add another odd yet modern and awesome thing to my living room. I am more than sure this will be perfect

As for putting a beta in this i would never. Betas DO NOT like to be in such small spaces. I don't know why everyone thinks this. Beats like large, shallow tanks. I own a beta and i gave her a 5 gallon tank all to herself and she swims around like no ones business. If you purchase this for a beat after reading this than you are a cruel person. This is much to small for any living thing (other than a small plant)

Buy Fish Bubble Now

This size is WAY to small for a betta! A betta needs at the minimum of 2.5 gal and does best in 5 gallons +. Also, betta JUMP! Without a cover for the opening at the top, you will find your betta on the floor quickly. You will need to do a water exchange on this tank every two days, or the poor water quality will harm your fishie friend.

DO NOT follow these instructions on cleaning! When you clean you CANNOT USE SOAP! You will kill your fish! No matter how well you rinse, there will always be a residue of soap left on the walls.

I have kept betta fish for over 5 years and breed them. Please follow my advice!

I do see how this could be used for other living things, such as plants. It could be a neat project for children watching root systems grow.

This product is exactly what I expected it to be, in fact it looks much better in person. I didn't use it to place a goldfish but I used it to hold some soil for a vine that I had growing on a wall and it serves the purpose well. The shipping time was only two days. I am very pleased with this product and service=)

Zoo Med Laboratories AZMHLB25 25-Watt Highlights Incandescent Bulb, Blue

Zoo Med Laboratories AZMHLB25 25-Watt Highlights Incandescent Bulb, BlueMan, oh man, are these bulbs pathetic in the lighting department. This one is just as crummy as the 15-watt for light output and is even more disappointing as I thought the increase in wattage would suffice. Wrong, wrong, wrong. I have a beautiful-looking 10-gallon black hex acrylic aquarium that I love to admire but, unfortunately, it has a lighting fixture that is incandescent. Darn it, this can pose problems (heating the tank when you don't want it, melting the cover, etc.) but there is little I can do except not use it. I have found a solution, however, in the ViaAqua 18in 3.3 watt Blue & White LED Light & Airstone. It provides two functions: aeration and moonlight that should be really cool. I think I'm going to send this bulb back (just like the 15-watt ones) and keep the 15-watt clear bulb that came with the aquarium kit. It is adequate light-wise, but not the colored light I desire. Good 'ol Amazon and their wonderful return policy. I use if often! Oh yeah. I have Amazon Prime and will receive the LED light in two days for free. Awesome!

Update: I made the mistake of ordering this product again because I thought it was the best option available to me. Wrong. The blue coating on the bulb had burned off on the middle third and was more light green than blue. The moonlight or blue light effect became unsatisfactory; therefore, I returned it. I am currently awaiting the credit to my gift certificate account and at least a refund request was accepted.

Great product. Only needed replacing because it was damaged in cleaning--otherwise works for years.

Fluval Chi Boxwood and Tall Grass Aquarium Ornament

Fluval Chi Lily Pad and Plant Grass Aquarium OrnamentThis is a perfect ornament for the Fluval Chi. As mentioned by another reviewer, it seems that people are confusing two separate items. The "Large Mountain" ornament is the larger piece that's meant to be placed in the submerged plant box inside the aquarium; the "Waterfall Mountain" is the smaller ornament that's meant to be placed in the pebble box/topper on top of the filter. Hope this helps!

My beta's tank was getting a little blah, so to speak, so I thought I'd spice it up a bit with a new decoration! I have the Fluval Chi 6.6g aquarium and just had some rocks in the basket with a bamboo sculpture in the middle of it. I came to amazon (my go to site that has never failed me) looking for something to spice things up a bit. I saw the Fluval Chi lily pad and plant decoration and thought that it would match perfectly with my beta, Petri. I read some reviews saying that the whole decoration just wouldn't stay put at the bottom and that it would float to the top which made me a bit weary. I decided to purchase it anyways because it just looked so cool and for $10, I figured I wasn't really going to lose much if it turned out to be a dud. Now, two days later, my decoration has arrived! Alas, the reviews about the whole piece floating turned out to be true. Luckily I used a tiny bit of brain power to apply a quick fix and you'd never be any wiser unless I told you. You see, there are spaces at the bottom of the grass piece because the grass "sprouts" in patches, if you will. So the spaces in between the grass are perfect little hiding spots for a few rocks. And as we all know, rocks sink! Ta-da! No more floating decoration. This turned out to be a much easier fix than trying to tie the whole thing down or just tossing it out and loosing $10 bucks. It now looks amazing in my tank and I do believe my beta has a bit of a spring in his swim, thanks to his new, spectacular decoration... (Although that may just be me attempting to apply human-like characteristics to an animal that could care none the less. But hey. At least one of us can truly enjoy it!)

I use this tank ornament in 2.5 gallon drum bowls with my bettas... I rotate it through each of my tanks and all of the fish just love it. I was worried when I ordered it online that the whole thing would float, since the plant, in a Fluval, is intended to be mounted upside down (I think)... but actually this is PERFECT for a standard tank this size or slightly larger. Don't buy it for your 1-1.5 gallon; I tried. Plant too big.) At first, placing it the way I wanted it was a challenge. Now I fill the tanks with three or four inches of water, place the ornament, and then pour the gravel in on top of it and spread it out. This weighs down the gridded bottom perfectly. Then I finish filling the tank with water. The two tendrils are absolutely gorgeous and provide a hiding place and as well as an engaging activity for the fish, who love to swim around and between them. It also helps me provide variety in my tanks, since the tendrils can be moved around, lengthened, and tangled gently as you see fit.) They are actually secured with a simple knot to the gridded plastic of the mat, so you can adjust them if you like (I made mine shorter.) They are a smooth, rubbery material that is seamless and provide no threat to betta fins. The leaves in the center are more of a burgundy than a fuscia as seen in the photo, but poseable and the fish like to rest on them. The colors look good with my blue, red, and black/purple fish. The lily pads are simple and realistic, which is nice, so they don't stand out. They give a nice Asian feel to the tank and I still have room to add a rock sculpture, bridge, elephant, or stack of pebbles. I am here now online again looking for similar accessories... I want an orange one! You can't go wrong with this tank decoration!

Vine is like any other cheap vine, you just pay more for the name on the package. Looks nice, but is a pain in the butt bc it stays tangled up in itself. Ended up throwing mine away

Laguna PowerGlo LED Mini Pond Light Kit with 2-Pack 40-Bulb LED Lights

Laguna PowerGlo LED Mini Pond Light Kit with 2-Pack 40-Bulb LED LightsUse this for my fountain in the front yard. It really lights it up nice, the photo cell works well, comes on at dusk and off at dawn. Lots of cord too.

Lights are fine but hooked to a timer (not included) because after the third night of activation, the unit failed.

Light are working OK and doing what was described.

When I called the vendor, I was told to put everything back into its original box and they would repair or replace.

I spent several hours installing/threading wires from the outlet to the transformer on to the lights (cosmetic purist)

did not want to go through the same routine in reverse and then reinstall the new/repaired unit once returned to me.

Since the customer service tech seemed not to accept that I simply return the detachable ON/Off Light sensor unit

"because policy is that the lights must be returned in the package theycame in" and that was that; I insisted on speaking

to her supervisor, who seemed emminently more reasonable and said she woul try to find a replacement Light Sensor.

All that transpired two weeks ago, and I'm still without the sensor.

Moral of the story: Only buy this Pond Light Kit if you can use it without the ON/OFF dusk to dawn feature. Most lower

end sensors, if they fail will do so within days of first use, if that works in your intended application, then go for it.

These were a real find! They come with two submersible lights with a daylight sensor (on at dusk off at dawn) and a long cord. The lighting is bright but not over-powering. Perfect mood lighting in a mid-size fountain. They sit on the bottom without any need to mount or clip them. By day they are inconspicuous and unobtrusive. A great product.

Finnex Ray2 Aquarium Day/Actinic LED Light, 16-Inch

Finnex Ray2 Aquarium Day/Actinic LED Light, 16-InchI got this for my 5G nano reef. I have the 48" version over my 75, and have no problem keeping softies and LPS alive and well. I wish it had separate switches/plugs for the actinic/daylight strips like the fugeray (which has 2 switches but not 2 plugs, and is also awesome for the price). This is my only real complaint. Everything else is better than what I would expect for the money I paid, and the money that I save in power consumption. There is nothing complex about it. It is like the point and shoot camera of aquarium lighting. You can't change settings, its not the most powerful thing on the market, but its cheap and effective.

PROS: slim, bright, inexpensive to buy and use, never gets very hot, shimmers like MH

CONS: only one power cord and switch, The temperature is like a heated blanket so my cat loves to lounge on it.

I've got this for my sump setup because I got a condy anemone. Within a month or two with proper feeding it has regained a nice brownish color from a meek off white... and is very active. At first I wasn't for sure how much it would help but I'm running this with a ecobright 5700k compact flourecent bulb to help the algae grow nicely. People are amazed at how nice my sump looks. I would definately purchase their brand for other tanks when needed.
