What can I say, I am slightly disappointed in the fish tank. It would be cute for a little girls room. The tank is really short, you have to bend or sit down to look at the fish. Mold also forms under the lid which I have to occasionally clean in order to prevent any build up.
Love love love this filter. Keeps my turtles water cleaner so much longer. I couldn't believe how much stuff came out of the filter pad when I cleaned it finally. Definitely a great filter and you can't really beat the price especially for what your getting. Also has lots of extra parts to attach bubble wands and things.

Bought this light for my son's deep 25 gallon tank after looking at inferior and overpriced units available at my local chain pet stores & online. It was a replacement for the dim florescent tube light that came with the tank. What a difference!!! The tank is so bright it actually looks like natural sunlight (it will actually cause you to see spots for a few minutes if you look at it straight on when lit). We have been using the light daily for about 3 months now and it is still working flawlessly. The light is bright enough to support the growth of a few Amazon swords, onion plants, and a couple of unnamed tubers. The light fixture is small, solid, and sleek looking-it is a definite improvement over the old black plastic box that was there before. I purposely waited some time to see if this light would hold-up before writing a product review to be sure I was not recommending another disappointing aquarium light system. After a few months of daily, sustained use I am pleased to report it has there are no still no problems with the light. All the LEDs are still functioning and there has been no issues with the light's performance whatsoever thus far. The only word of caution I would offer is that be very careful with the light duration. We started the light on a 12 hour daily cycle from the start and there was significant green algae growth problems on all surfaces of the tank, gravel, plants, and lid. We finally got the algae under control and are currently running it for 7-8 hour daily cycles without algae growth. If you are looking to add some punch to your tank without spending some major cash upgrade your lighting with this light.

There aren't many aquarium lights that are this inexpensive, that actually work as well as this one does. I love the thin, low profile look of it, and the light output of the 7k/7k daylight model is great for my planted tank. I had plants in deep water culture which began showing the signs of oxygen deprivation. I was running a couple of those wally-world pumps and it wasn't getting the job done. This pump has taken care of all that, with air to spare. As for sound, it is a touch louder than the two household pumps, but not too bad at all. If you're growing in a living space, such as your bedroom or living room, it's probably too loud. But if your grow area is in your basement or a closet, you'll never notice it. I highly recommend this pump for DWC. **** The brass air outlet is NOT standard aquarium air line size, it's a size up but the deal comes with a 6" piece of hose and the gang valve that DOES reduce down to standard airline size. If you plan on going from the pump directly to your own gang valve assembly, you'll need to pick up a reducer at the hardware store.

I bought this for my koi pond, the heat here in the summer is pretty intense and I felt the fish would benefit from some extra oxygen! I first tested it inside. When I turned it on it sounded like a freight train! Of course my first thought was this is not going to be good!! However once I got it all installed outside the noise was minimal. Between the filter, the water falls, the birds singing etc you could not hear it. It really is powefful and my fish love it, they love hanging out in all the bubbles. I agree with the high quality. I have one that has been on constantly for 4 months now and it does get hot but no soo hot u cant touch it. It has not given any problems, it aerates multiple ponds with strong constant pressure ( although mine is a bit higher in L/hr). I am just looking for a second for another product and ran across this and felt like I should write a positive review. I was pleasantly surprised to feel some weight and finally a product that wasn't made a plastic and look like it can take some abuse. I do worry it will break but they have kits to fix them so that is another plus. I would never go back to a dual plastic Mr. cheapo model when they make these things look like they are a car part from a 1970's era hot rod. They look indestructible, the metal is solid. This pump looks to be durable and from other reviews I was prompted to purchase one. My only complaint is that now I am stuck with a pump that is very loud. If it is to be used outside the sound wont be a problem but inside its just to loud. For this reason I can only give it a three star rating.
I had a longtime problem with low pH (6.5) due to living in a mountain area and after using this product for a couple months, it finally brought the pH up into the neutral range (7.2). But I have to say that I don't know enough about the science of it all and that around the same time I had begun use of aquarium salt and Biotene (establishes beneficial colonies of bacteria, also available through Amazon). But whatever: Neutral Regulator was involved in solving my tank's chronic low pH.
A 50/50 bulb produces the pure white that I like in my fresh water aquarium. Not sunny or warm. This is sold by Amazon, returns are easy if you don't like it.

Got this as a gift, and while we were turned the dog chewed through the face part in under a minute, removed the sound box, broke it open and got to the batteries. We had no idea it had such potentially dangerous small batteries inside. Found only 2 of the 3 that were there and we fear that the dog swallowed one. We will spend the night hoping and praying that the dog passes it safely if she got to it, and that if it rolled somewhere in the living room we find it before our baby does. I've always used the test tubes over the dip strips when it comes to testing my aquarium water, simply because they take MUCH longer to run out (which is a big deal when you're testing four aquariums). Also, a lot of authors of many of the aquarium books and magazine articles I've read consider them more accurate the other conventional forms of water testing (though I find that the test strips really aren't all THAT far off and the difference is neglegible). I origninally purchased the product as a kit with all the other stuff over two years ago before I FINALY ran out so it lasts a long time. If you have an aquarium, you must have this, you have to monitor nitrates. I've been I the hobby many decades and API is a quality brand and I like the straight forward directions that are simplified on the back of the color chart and then more detail on the extended directions. You should also only use test kits that have an date code/ expiration date on the bottle.

A friend ordered this for me off my Wishlist, and there is no water, water stains, nothing to indicate it's the same item exactly as the box and Amazon describes. A little disappointed that this newer version does not have water "around" the fishbowl. It used to have water-trapped sides of the bowl with floating, mini sea creatures. Otherwise, it can have a 5 stars. The 4 stuffed creatures look cute inside the fishbowl. I like its color, pattern and fabric.

I bought this divider after my original (homemade) one broke and my two male bettas fought. My divider was made from those report cover binders much like what is in this product. This tank divider is comprised of 4 slotted strips of plastic, one plastic divider and 2 hooks. The dividers that go along the sides of the tank are more substantial than the ones that go across the top and bottom. The plastic divider is thin and flexible full of tiny holes to allow water circulation, and easily trimmed to fit your particular aquarium. My 10 gallon aquarium is a pretty standard rectangle, and this divider still needed a half inch trimmed off in order to fit correctly.
This stuff is ground into a finer powder than Coral Frenzy. This is neither a plus nor a minus -it's up to you to feed your coral species an appropriate food particle size.

This stuff does the trick for filtering and keeping tanks looking good. However, If you don't have ammonia issues in general, it's a little pricey. We have Koi, and they're notoriously dirty fish, but with routine maintenance we don't have ammonia spikes or nitogen issues. A standard activated carbon works for us, and we order that from a chem company. However, if your tank needs some dire or extra attention, this is the way to go. Does several jobs at once, and works quickly provided you have a decent filtration system.
The actual product was...um...not what I expected. It was green and very unatural looking. Kinda like a childs toy. I put it in my tank anyway and have it hidden behind some live plants but I wouldn't recommend this if you want something natural. Shipping was the quickest ever however. A+++ to seller.
