Seascape Double Sided Aquarium Background - 24 in. High - (Sold by foot)
The idea: simple and beautiful. Take a super-bright photo with dimension and use it as a background for an aquarium tank. Why didn't anybody ever think of this before?
Once installed, the background gives the illusion that you are looking into some kind of portal into the actual ocean, further amplifying the already escape-inducing effects of viewing an aquarium.
I bought this 3D aquarium background as a part of an aquarium set up, a gift to my son on his eighth birthday.
The blue color is stunning, the perfect shade of blue, with all the details and shadows of ripples of water. It is a high-voltage blue, especially when lit with blue LED lights.
The picture is large to accommodate various tank sizes, but worked just fine in my son's little 10 gallon tank. I just trimmed it down some on the top and bottom. The effect is the same no matter the tank size, as long as you center the darkest part in the middle of the tank.
The background gives the illusion of really being there, in the water, with the fish. The foreground fades to a deep blue, adding depth, like the water in the tank goes as far as the eye can see. The top looks exactly like the surface of the water when viewed from underneath, and then the bottom is detailed with endless sand ridges from the waves.
Extremely beautiful. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Well worth the money!
Oh, don't forget to seal it with Sea View Aquarium Sealer. It isn't a perfect product, but far superior to just taping the background up on the back of your tank. The sealer is key to getting the full 3D effect of this background.
Enjoy, lil' fishies!Love the background. It was shipped very quickly, and once applied, it looks beautiful!!! Highly recommend! Be sure and put how many feet you need, when you order. I forgot initially, and realized my mistake in time to cancel it, then reorder appropriately! Looks best if applied using background mounting and illumination gel.

I wanted the blue side. Unfortunately the black side is darker so when you light the aquarium, the darker side shows through. So, if you like the black ground with the branches (which camoflages black filters and themometers nicely, it's fine. The only benefit I see to having the blue ground also, then, is that when you wrap it around the sides like I did, from the side of the aquarium, you see the blue instead of plain paper.
Unless you plan on not lighting your aquarium, don't plan on being able to use the blue ground.

The wording in this is deceptive and honestly fraud in my opinion. The picture on here when I bought this was not what I received. That in itself is fraud to me. you cant have a pictures of something 6 feet long and then send something 1/3 of the size. sold by the foot can mean a lot of things and if you want to sell it that way fine but dont put a picture of something much bigger. I need 6 feet and what I got is useless. People like this should not be allowed to sell on amazonSunday, August 31, 2014

Prime, 100 mL / 3.4 fl. oz.
The smell of this stuff is not great, but goes away after the water is treated. This stuff really works! It does have a small foul odor to it, but it dissipates soon enough. It only takes a day or two for this stuff to work it's magic on high levels of Ammonia and such. My water is crystal clear and my African Cichlids are happy. Two thumbs up!
Buy Prime, 100 mL / 3.4 fl. oz. Now
i decided to try this line of aquarium products because after reading the literature on it, it seemed the more innovative direction to take in striving for creating optimal turtle tank conditions. i have had great results with seachem's purigen, which is a "re-chargeable" substitute for carbon in your aquarium filter.....if u inow turtles, they are very dirty and consequently, i was spending a great deal on carbon, which is really just a throw away after one use. anyhow, the prime product is used when u do water changes and when i first saw the size. the bottle, it seemed so small until i read the instructions....you only use a teaspoon for 50 gallons. the combination of the seachem products is resulting in better test results on my ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels and i don't have to do as much maintenance on the filter and the tank it seems. i would heartily recommend this product and plan to continue on with ordering items in their line!!Read Best Reviews of Prime, 100 mL / 3.4 fl. oz. Used it since i started a new tank, works well. The ammonia feature works somewhat, it seems to improve the fish coat. Removes chlorine well never had a chlorine problem while using this.Want Prime, 100 mL / 3.4 fl. oz. Discount?
Must have product for all aquariums!!! The label / bottle might not look as appealing as other branded aquarium pharmaceuticals (ie. TetraFin etc.) but the product works wonders. One thing for sure is, when using this product you might show false positives in your test kits, however, do not be alarmed if you see high Ammonia / Trite / Trate readings, this product simply detoxes these for up to 24-48 hours to make it safe for fish. To get proper readings, just perform water changes weekly.Just as a tip, I use Prime to help me with my fish in cycles.
NOTE: FISHLESS CYCLES ARE ALWAYS RECOMMENDED, IT IS LESS CRUEL FOR THE FISH AND WILL GIVE YOU AN ADDED BENEFIT OF FULLY STOCKING AN AQUARIUM.

Aqueon 34503 ProFlex Sump Model 4, 120-210-Gallon
So, I decided to drain the whole sump and just re-sealed the edges with silicon. It stopped the leak and hopefully it won't open up again. I know the product has a warranty against leaks. Like I said, the sump works fine now, just disappointed I had to deal with the leak.Once I fixed the leak and Rigged the overflow panel in the first chamber it works great. Not sure if all the parts came or not.

I was bummed out over this product. Really my fault in buying it It's not that great. I threw out the "filters", they got "gunned" up in one week (expected really). The other area for use as a REFUGIUM is close to worthless. The construction I thought was flimsy way to thin plastic careful here. The tubes the provide will gunk up real fast as they are the ribbed flex tubes. Just by a cheap aquarium with out all the fancy garbage... really nothing added here folks. My bad in buying it.Read Best Reviews of Aqueon 34503 ProFlex Sump Model 4, 120-210-Gallon Here
If you want to experiment with different sump designs, this is likely a great place to start, especially for the price. However, there are some annoying oddities. I am using it for a ~150 gallon turtle aquarium, so I have a bit of an odd usage as well. As the turtles eat just about every plant except java fern and java moss, I am running a refugium for some fast-growing plants to help with nitrate. However, I also need to run some biomedia (in my case, seachem matrix). This doesn't situation work out so well out of the box, but after some fab work, it's running well. The Good:
1) Uses standard 4" socks. While the aqueon socks are nice, they are expensive, so it's great to be able to buy standard size socks, unlike other brands who use hard to find square ones or non-standard 3.75" and other craziness. It also lets you change micron size easily, as aqueon only seems to make one. For instance, I can run two 200 micron and one 50 micron for a couple days for some relatively quick water polishing.
2) For lower turnover, nearly dead silent. If you keep the GPH low enough using hard plumbing such that air bubbles don't form, the underwater inlet design is nearly silent. The only thing you will hear is water running from the 2nd to the 3rd chamber if you keep the 3rd chamber reasonably low.
3) Reasonably priced. Yes, the acrylic is thinner than it could be, no flame polished edges, et cetera, but that all keeps the cost down. So far it is only a fit/feel issue and not a functionality issue. If the edges are bonded well it shouldn't leak, but we'll see. I'm hoping the others with leaks were a manufacturing defect and not a design issue.
4) Highly configurable. Let's face it, a fair portion of this hobby is about trying different things or changing your mind. If you don't know what kind of sump you want to run, or change the aquarium and it's inhabitants around, it's great to be able to re-use the sump in different ways.
The Bad:
1) no room for heaters. Most people want to have heaters in the sump rather than the display tank, mounted vertically, and configured in a weir so that they do not go dry when the power to the pumps is off. The only place to do that on this sump is in the first chamber with the filter socks. This is hard to reach, very close to the socks which get tangles in the wires, and not very tall, so most of the common heaters (e.g. ebo-jager, and oddly aqueon's own heaters) do not fit. I ended up using three hydor theo 200's which gets by.
2) The adjustable wall between chamber 1 and 2 is held in place by the water force. Once the water stops, the wall falls. Not a big deal for a wet/dry filter, but if you are using it as a fuge, you suddenly have one big fuge that plants and animals can escape to. If you have a skimmer in #2, the water level change is sure to be frustrating. I ended up trimming some plastic tablecloth hold-down clips to keep it in place. A couple stainless or plastic clips would do wonders here. Perhaps I'm one of the few that turns the water off for feeding, or ever has power failures .
3) The bubble trap's overflow (between the 2nd and 3rd chamber) is too low/non adjustable. Rather than the sponge trap, which is likely nice for skimmers, I used the overflow before the return chamber to hold my biomedia. However, the overflow is non-adjustable and set really low, so most of the water was flowing over the top of the media rather than through it. I suspect the same thing would happen with the bubble trapping sponge, but I haven't tried. I ended up cutting a piece of acrylic to make the overflow taller, yet still shorter than the refugium wall so it won't flood while pumps are off
4) The return area takes up the most space of all the chambers. I suppose this makes sense for the few without an auto top off so that the pumps won't run dry on a daily basis, but I'd rather this area be used to give me more filter/refugium space or a space for heaters/equipment.
5) The inlet water tube noise reducers are sealed. Perhaps a small child could get their hand down there to clean, but no adult could. Since they are sealed, you can't disassemble them either, leaving them to attract sloughed algae, snails, and the like.
6) The incoming water tubes are small. At least for the model 4, 1.5" inlet tubes should be in place to match the flow numbers they have posted. I used hard PVC direct to them, but the reducing coupling slows the water quite a bit and makes for a lot more noise than if they were larger in the first place.

While this is a great sump there are a few things that create drawbacks to it. One the filter socks are hard to place and remove, let alone are expensive and clog quickly. Two there is no way this can handel 2200gph. I have 1450 exactly running through it and it is maxed out. Im usint two 1.5" lines feeding the sump and the 1" 90's going to it are to restrictive for that kind of flow level. Other than that its worth every penny.Friday, May 30, 2014

When I bought this filter it was working perfectly and was really quite. I took my tank down and put the filter up for two months, when I set my tank back up and hook this filter back up it was extremely loud. I've tried jiggling the intake tube, pulling it up slightly and letting it catch on it's own instead of me forcing the impeller in place, still no luck. I don't know why this happened but the filter started off great. Even with the loud noise it still cleans the tank well. This is a great little filter for my 10 gallon. I love the fact that you have a control on top even for this small of an filter. I turn it down while i'm feeding and then turn it back up when they're done eating. Nice little filter, the only thing that would make it a 5 star is if they would have put an extension piece for an option like the larger filters. It sits about 4 inches above my gravel in the 10gallon.Friday, May 9, 2014

Fluval Ceramic Shrimp Decor Aquarium Ornament
Because the caves have an open bottom, you can push them into the substrate as far as you want to make the caves larger or smaller. This allows cave dwellers to arrange the substrate inside the cave the way they want which is a normal part of the breeding process. For my kribensis, I like to push them almost all the way down so that just a tiny hole is left open. The female krib will pick the cave and then rearrange the gravel to make the opening just perfect for her. This gives her a sense of safety so she will breed and care for the eggs and fry.
I've been looking for a dark colored cave that looked attractive in my planted tanks for a long time, and this cave is perfect. I started out with 3 caves and just bought 3 more. No more ugly clay pots! They look great in the tank and don't detract from the beautiful colors of the fish.
UPDATE: My Pelvicachromis clearly love these caves! One pair mated and have successfully raised the fry. They're about 3/4" long now. The other pair have had two sets of fry, but aren't as good at parenting so they've lost both sets. However, they're trying for their third set of fry so maybe they'll do better at protecting them as they gain experience.
Even though I still have other caves in the tanks for my Pelvicachromis fish to use, they most definitely prefer these caves. I'm not going to bother buying any other kind of cave from now on. These caves are a definite winner! Just bought 5 more for a 90g tank I'm converting over to a planted tank! I'll probably get even more for that tank over time.I bought the log. And... it's okay. I think that it's ugly and that the interior of the log should be textured instead of smooth. I thought this was supposed to be shrimp decor. It's as good as any other aquarium ornament out there. My giant blob of java moss has consumed it so at least I can't see it. I hope my shrimp like it because it was expensive.
Nothin' special here.

Easy Balance Water Conditioner
This product will cloud the water for a few hours after it is introduced to the tank water. This cloudiness should disappear quickly as long as you have good water filtration and movement! And again make sure you have good water aeration like air stones in the tank as this could cause the fish to not get enough oxygen.
From Tetra's Site:
Easy Balance® Detailed Description of Individual Product Features
Carbonate Hardness Additive The appropriate amount of carbonate hardness is added to the aquarium water compensating for KH losses, which occur as a result of nitrification.
pH Stabilization Stabilizes the pH value on a sufficiently high level, preventing a drop to biologically harmful levels (pH crash) and produces a certain amount of CO2 preventing excessive pH values.
Phosphate Removing Effect In a standard aquarium (30gal) the phosphate concentration is reduced to zero during most of the 6-month period.
New Feature: Nitrate Reduction with Nitraban(tm) Serves as a nutrient for denitrifying bacteria that consume the oxygen releasing nitrogen from the aquarium. On average the nitrate concentration will drop below 40mg/l.
Other Features Include Production of Carbon Dioxide, the addition of trace elements and a replenishment of vitamin B
*****************************
Let me add to this review that for all the people posting that this product doesn't work or that it killed their fish, they are the ones at fault! And the yellow water issue? Yes this product will cause the water in the tank to turn temporarily yellow. If there is extremely poor filtration and water movement, the water will stay yellow.I have 2 aquariums and when they need to be clean I add this to the water. EasyBalance with Nitraban helps keep my aquariums clean and clear and I was having a problem finding this product at my local pet store, and other pet stores in my area.
I came to Amazon just to check to see if they carried this product. Much to my surprise,
they did, and for half the price a pet store would have charged me. Even the shipping added to the order, was still half. In the future, I plan to order this product from Amazon.
Again, as with my other orders from Amazon, my order was here in less than a week.

I have been using this stuff for about a year. It is the best product if you don't want to change water and have to reset your water chemistry every 30-45 days. A 50% water change every 3-6 months is all you'll have to do for the life of your tank. I swear by the stuff. I did have an ugly tank from one bad bottle last summer, but it was easily fixable. In fact, I just bought the last 13 bottles available in my size so I won't have to go to the pet store for anything but plants.ANY product that reduces water changes is great! I put it in once a week and it reduces the nitrogen over night. I have very little alge growth. The water is crystal clear. What more can I say? I love this product! This product did exactly what it said it does. The fish all seemed to liven up as soon as this was in the water, so I assume everything balanced out fairly quickly.Sunday, March 9, 2014
Lee's Pet Products ALE16015 Rigid Tubing for Aquarium Pumps, 3/8-Inch by 3-Feet
regular tank siphon to pull out too much water and make it hard to target areas where debris accumulates. I can
get those areas with much greater precision by attaching the original vac hose to this rigid tubing and using that instead.I bought these for storage of end mills, as they tend to dull themselves if allowed to bang together in a drawer. The tubing works well for this, I just cut it into sections long enough for the cutter, slide it in and cap it. Allows me to easily identify them by size and type, since it is clear. I expect it would also work well for aquariums, but I didn't try them for that.

Two Little Fishes NPX Bioplastics Reactor 550 w/ Media 400ml
The only complaint I have is that they do not give you enough plumbing parts and clamps to hook it up properly. I was short a couple of clamps and had leaking problems initially. Thinking I could just use some coral glue (expensive super glue) to seal it, I found that trying that was not a good idea as the glue melted the soft connecting pieces. Two Little Fishes sells a expansion pack for their reactors, I bought one for about 4 dollars and was fine after that but it seems silly to me for them to skimp so much in the base package.

Two Little Fishies ATLNM1 Nanomag Window Clean Device
Buy Two Little Fishies ATLNM1 Nanomag Window Clean Device Now
having only one powerful magnet, the cleaner works very well, and does the job that you would buy it for. I am using mine in a 3 gallon tank. The reason i purchased this was to take off the water line, scrub algae, and not look so big in my tank as it only protrudes 1/4 inch into the display tank.PROS:
small (easy to maneuver around decorations and filters etc... much less of an eyesore compared to magfloat brand)
powerful magnet (even works with the thick glass in my 75 gallon tank)
CONS:
small cleaning surface (since the cleaning component is made of soft foam square, the only surface area that is in contact with the glass is the circle of the magnet. I believe that this part of the design actually aids in moving the cleaning device around corners, however you cannot really get down deep into those 90 degree corners of your aquarium.)
the cleaning component sinks (this is the case because the magnet is so large that the buoyancy of the foam that it is set in cannot compensate for its weight. However the magnet is so powerful that if you manage to release the cleaning component into the tank within 3.5 inches of the glass, the device will form the union again and you will be able to continue cleaning, however be cautious, be sure to check that you did not pick up any grains of sand before you start to scrub away because that will scratch the inside of your aquarium)
Bottom line: If you have a nano sized tank, and you want to purchase a magnetic aquarium cleaner, I would recommend this product.
Read Best Reviews of Two Little Fishies ATLNM1 Nanomag Window Clean Device Here
I got this for my 1.5 gallon pico reef. It works as advertised, even through thick 1/4" acrylic it will scrub algae right off. It's got a few downsides, though. The first is cheap construction. It's made of cheap glued foam -the felt pad (on the outside half) and the velcro (on the inside half) and the logos separate and fall apart over the course of a few months. This process is hastened if you ever let the inside and outside halves stick to each other -you have to pry them apart which really strains the glue. Always store and handle the halves separately to prolong life.
Never store the cleaner under water (like on the corner of your tank). Once the glue layers failed on mine, the magnet inside started rusting and spewing a brown slime into my tank. Always store this item dry!
The next is the scratches. Maybe my tank has soft acrylic but if I shine a flashlight on it, I can see a haze of zillions of tiny scratches. If your tank is acrylic, I strongly recommend you get a piece of felt or fabric and stick it to the velcro pad of the inside half.
Finally, the corners. The inside pad only cleans where the round magnet is behind it, the square corners have no scrubbing power.
Still, it's great on tiny tanks for getting into the tight spaces where rocks and things are near the tank walls, so I went ahead and bought another one after my first one self-destructed. I just wish it were a little more durable -I'd happily pay double the price to get one that doesn't fall apart.
Want Two Little Fishies ATLNM1 Nanomag Window Clean Device Discount?
It does what it says (cleans algae) but I thought it would be solid. Be prepared for foam. The inside foam mag has one thing going for it, its skinny so it can fit in really tight places (unlike a mag float). The downside it doesn't float if it releases from the main magnet.

AL-H18DS: Finnex RAY II High Output Unibody Ultra Slim LED Fixture - 18" Daylight
I think it is made better than my Archea LED lights (that were a bit
too short to use with this tank), in that this seems to have a better seal
so water from filter that splashes does not get on the inside of the plastic where the lights are.
I have had trouble with water getting into one of my Archea LED that was too close to the

I would recommend this brand.
It has a double row of bright lights that are a bit brighter than
my Archea LED lights also.

One of the best fish foods on the market, no fillers, no fake ingredients. Im very impressed. Since the food is so rich, you have to feed alot less, but remember, goldfish do not have stomachs so they need a constant supply of carbs, so they should be fed small amounts 2x a day...this will allow you to enjoy them at their full potential. Something else i noticed is that any uneaten food for this brand gets fuzzy(spoiled) very fast and tend to float under ordainment and driftwood. so make sure you search everywhere when you do your water change/gravel vacuumI will buy this product again, along with their entire line of food, to feed all my fish
