I bought 2 tall rustic cubes and one small cube and set them up in the middle of my 60 gal aquarium. I bought live plants and placed them in the various holes on the cubes and then put a bubble disc in the two taller cubes to hide them while giving the tank a cool effect. I love these cubes and would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a unique piece for there tank.

I thought this would be a great addition to my pond and provide my small koi a place to hide. This is a small shelter.

I don't know what it is about it, but my fish won't swim into this. They swim around it but it sits unused. They prefer an old can and drainage pipe. I wouldn't recommend this product.

My CPO Crayfish love these... I'll find them climbing all over them and hiding in the tubes. One thing to note however, the tubes are glued in the form you see them, no way to change how they are formed.

Como Aquarium Fish Tank Blue Silicone Mini Sea Anemone Ornament

It is super soft and moves great in the light current my little filter makes. Glows under the blue LED light setting I have as well. The best part though is my Betta LOVES this thing. He swims along the tentacles and rests on top of it and even tries to snuggle inside it! So glad I found something else I could add to my Betta tank for him to interact with and enjoy! A "MUST BUY" for Betta lovers!

I didn't realize how lovely such a simple aquatic decorative item could be, small as it was, but it added to my tank's colorful decor, and the fish took to it immediately. They were curious, attracted and often "hang-out" near this ornament.

I love it! Please note, however, that the "small" is much smaller than it appears on the webpage, despite the fact that the size dimensions are included in the product description's details. Small is great for up to a 5G tank, but bigger than that, definately go for the medium, or large. And choose a couple vibrant colors. They are worth it, for the price, and as I said, the fish LOVE these little "anemone" ornaments.

This has got to be one of the best things I have ever gotten for my Bettas. I currently own two bettas and got this blue Anemone as well as the orange one for my other fish. My bettas love it! They both will play in them and swim through them repeatedly. One of my bettas actually sleeps in his every night. The silicone is sturdy and doesn't come off when in the water. I have had mine for 2 months now and they are still lasting. Well worth the price tag, highly recommend it.

PROS:

Totally realistic! The silicone anemone appendages sway with the water and really trick the eye into believing it is alive.

Great hit of color in a tank. The blue is especially gorgeous, as it has little pops of red on the tips.

Easy to install and stays put. Does not float up to the top or any other such nonsense.

CONS:

While I was thrilled at this decoration when I first put it into my son's dragon/volcano-themed fish tank, I later grew irritated when after a few months it turned greenish-yellow on its appendages....uggggh!

I tried cleaning it, but to no avail. I think the dyes in the fish food discolored the silicone. Our tank runs pretty clear, thanks to the awesome AquaClear Power FilterAquaClear 70 Power Filter 110 V, UL Listed (Includes AquaClear 70 Carbon, AquaClear 70 Foam & AquaClear 70 BioMax, so cleanliness was not a factor.

Would I buy it again?

Actually, I am considering using silicone toys Puffer Ball 4 inch, 3 Tonecommonly used as party favors. They look EXACTLY like this anemone and are only a buck vs. the nearly ten dollars I paid for this short-lived anemone. My only issue is I am not sure if they are safe for fish.

Bulbs had great prices and were packed VERY well. The description indicates T10, but the bulb is actually a T8 bulb. Allpet provided me with fantastic customer service. They called me back the same day after they physically checked the product to verify it was a T8. The type of bulb is important to know to see if its compatible with your hood. 2 of these bulbs were used in my 55g fresh water cichlid tank.

The color spectrum of this bulb is exactly what I was looking for to brighten the aquarium.

We have had Koi for nearly 10 years and have always used Wardley's Pond TEN Pellets. We have healthy fish who like to BREED! Have generated over 150 offspring so far. So they must be happy! We like the food for convenience and also for the non-clouding trait. We have double ponds with waterfalls and many plants. Be sure to keep the salt content correct, or the fish can get diseases. We have only lost one in all these years. Plain, non-iodized salt from the store works fine. Buy a salt testing kit and use the amount called for when there are plants in the water. I had been careless and one of our original females had some odd looking spots on her, but when I adjusted the salt, they went away. All this is to say that the food is important to be well balanced and the proper nutrition so that the fish heal well too. We won't use anything else!

TOM Aquarium Maintenance Algae Scraper Multi Tool 22 Length

Hard to believe you could get excited about an algae scraper! After using cheap things like sponges, kitchen brushes, etc. I decided to get one. It works great, you don't have to get your arms wet reaching to the back lower corners of the aquarium, and the attachments can be easily interchanged. The swivel head on the sponge attachment is very nice. Only one improvement would be adding a razor edge to the brush head. Just make sure you measure your tank to buy the correct size.

Just an FYI for the parts on this are interchangeable with the petco version of the product. I had the Petco telescoping handle but my blade broke so I ordered this with the handle just in case it didn't work but the scraper snapped into place without issues.

The only thing that doesn't work for my tank is the razor. My tank is oval in the front, and it is hard to scrape with the razor. It is also sometimes hard with the brush, but it gets the job done.

I was very dissappointed with this product. I have a 150gal tank which had some very heavy algae build up along the inside glass walls so purchased this item with the intent of using the razor blade attachment to scrape off the majority of the debris but discovered due to the flimsy plastic handle did not have the ability to do the job nor the scrub pad which was way too soft to work either. Got creative and found a 2ft 1/2" conduit pipe left over from an old electrical job a slide it down over the plastic handle. The pipe actually fit perfectly over the flimsy plastic handle and now I had the ridgid strength to scrape the glass walls better. This is the first product I purchased from Amazon that did not work as advertised. The company that designed this product must not have tested it much and don't recommend it at all.

No problems whatsoever easy to set up (it does require assembly, but really simple to do) lightweight but strong (it's welded, hollow steel.) I prefer this over pressboard stuff and wasn't about to spend a couple of hundred on a solid wood piece. Fits my 20L tank perfectly.

I was skeptical about the steadiness of this with a tank full of water, but it has been perfect and has stood up to my stupid cat smashing into the tank face first... several times. Leveling feet are a great feature, as I have hardwood floors in an old house. Feels a little wobbly with nothing on top, but have faith. The weight of the tank helps square it up.

I am a college student but love keeping fish, and so had to get a tank set up in my apartment. After a long search for a stylish but affordable stand, I settled for this and the results have been great so far. Fits my 20 gallon long tank perfectly and looks good to boot. The metal construction is more sleek and modern than traditional wood stands (and stronger, at least I hope). Only real gripe is that there is no storage beneath but that is a minor complaint for what is otherwise an excellent stand. The leveling feet are very useful for eliminating wobble. The thermometer works great and its in Celcius and Farenheight connected by a nylon string to find it easily. I would have given it 5 stars had the glass window that protects the mercury glass behind it wasn't broken on delivery... it works fine without the protective cover and as its used for fish without abuse worry that the mercury tube would break decided to just use it as I was in a pinch to maintain proper temperatures. Other than that, it is a good product.

Bought this for my dad to measure water temperature in the Boundary Waters...works great. He ties it up to the side of our canoe and lets it bob while we fish. Smalllightweightand very effective.

Actually, I'd give this 4.5 stars.

Keeps my 10 gallon tank within 1-2 degrees as advertised and seems sturdy enough to last a long time.

What I did not know from the product description and pictures on Amazon is that this unit also has a separate wired temperature sensor which also needs to be placed into the tank along with the heating element (but located far enough away from it so as not to be reading too high). So you actually have 3 pieces of equipment all connected together.

Also, the two suction cups on the heating element, while clinging to the glass with ease, tend to slide around with the gentlest of pressure. If you want to place your heating element just right you will have to be very careful not to move the cords or disturb anything that touches it.

Pros:

Solidly built

Keeps temp to within 2 degrees

No glass parts to crack

Separate sensor placed away from heater gives a more accurate reading

Digital readout of current temperature

High temperature safety shut-off feature

Cons:

Separate sensor is just another thing that will take up space in a small tank (albiet it is small itself)

Suction cups on heater slide on glass easily if disturbed

Main cord to heating element could be a bit longer

So far, this heater has been stable holding temps on my Eheim Aquastyle 9 tank (rimless design). Setting seems easy enough.

My only concern is that in my application the cable that goes into the tank for the heating unit itself is fairly thick and causes the glass lid for my particular tank to not sit flat. I've lost a couple of shrimp that climbed over the edge due to this. I'm in the process of creating a new top cover that will have a notch for the heater cable so that the cover can sit closer to the edge of the glass and hopefully avoid any more escapee issues.

I think the product could be slightly improved by using a flat power cable like the heater that I upgraded from used.

My situation is probably not common, so for most tanks this seems like a very good product.

I really like this heater. Its very short so it will fit in most hob filters and be out of sight.

I also like that it has a digital programmable read out,which makes it much easier to read and set the temp.

If you need a small submersible heater this is it. :>)

This worked great -for as long as it worked. Suddenly after 6 months, it burned out: The middle of the heating element is now black. Since it has only a 180 day warranty, we were out of luck. the manufacturer offered to replace component parts of it for a fee -but we would have to ship the unit back to them and we couldn't leave the tank without a heater. So we replaced it with a $10 heater that has a two-year warranty, so that heater could go out three times in a year and we'd still come out comparitively ahead. I'm extremely disappointed in this unit and manufacturer.

These look good and the suction cups are working great (although I did use some spit right off the bat cause thats classic) ...but I wonder if the plastic variety would be better in my high-humidity terrarium ...the silk does look good though. I actually took one person's advice and went to the Michael's craft store and got loads of awesome plastic plants etc. for way less.

I tried to find Abuliton genus information but all I kept finding were references to cannabis bushes the leaves on this abuliton are similar to the cannabis plant there's no denying it but since they are fake and silk, there's no danger. I first found one bag in my local fish store in the reptile section and figured I'd give it a shot for my tropical freshwater aquarium as a background plant but first I emailed Hagen company to hear it from them that it was safe for use in water with fish and they confirmed that it was. So I soaked them in a bucket of water conditioned with Prime and added them to my tank. I love it! I bought 4 more and they are very natural looking and hide all my equipment and tubing and provide hiding places for my fish. I highly recommend these. Exo-Terra by Hagen also come in Ficus, Ruscus, Mandarin and Amapallo.

update April 2010: These have been great for our Aquarium, and over time with some algae to them, they look pretty good. They don't fray as much as other silk plants do and only now after all this time are they showing signs of slight fraying the only problem is our plecos are constantly un-sticking them from the glass lol my advise is if you're just setting up your tank and it is dry still, place these where you want them and then, silicon the suction cup in that position so that they no longer move if you have sucker-mouth fish or large active tank busters. So if live plants are not for you for w/e reason, I do recommend these.

I was ready to send this back but once installed into my 20 gallon tall it actually looks great. A few quality issues so it only deserves 3 stars. The plant could use some more leaves to help cover the linking plastic. The suction cup is just okay, and I've already had it fall from the side. The back part by the suction cup is ugly so it needs to be suctioned to the back. I did have some metal wire exposed at the top by the suction cup and had to fix it. This does cover most of the back of my tank and my fish seem to be happy and playing through the leaves.

Make sure to rinse and soak before adding to your tank.

I bought these for my picky betta. It took him a few days to eat the food now He will put them in his mouth and 3 minutes later spit it out eventually he eats it.

The only bad thing about this product is the have a very strong fish smell, so you have to store them in a rubber maid or something.
