Coastal Pet Products DCP83519 Latex Rascals Long Legged Monkey Dog Toy, 16-Inch, Green

Coastal Pet Products DCP83519 Latex Rascals Long Legged Monkey Dog Toy, 16-Inch, GreenI got this to replace the old Voss Toys monkey that ripped. It is not quite as large as the old monkey. Maybe 70% the size of the first one. It seems to be holding up well but it is not as well loved as the first monkey which was the #1 favorite toy. Granted there were a lot of new toys to compete with but this monkey is not as great as the first monkey.

Received the items on time. They float which makes them perfect for our pets.

The are not a pull toy and are too large for smaller dogs. The dogs love them.

Most dog toys are destroyed in 5 minutes. Not so the latex monkey. They get destroyed only after about 5 months of rough play, morning, day and night. My dog loves his latex monkey: he runs around flinging it here and there... shaking it all about. He has such a blast with it! He is now onto his 5th or 6th latex monkey. All the previous ones were disemboweled and trashed (even though I let him play with the empty floppy exoskeleton for a while). I am sad that the LARGER version of this monkey has been totally sold out all over the internet, so his current monkey is the small 16" version. I hope that when this is sold out, more latex monkeys will be produced.

We purchased the latex monkey at the recommendation of a friend who said this was her dog's favorite toy and it was indestructible. Unfortunately, our green monkey only lasted 20 minutes and our dog easily chewed off the thumb. Expensive toy to only give 20 minutes of joy. Would not recommend this for strong chewers. Seller experience was great...very speedy.

Seachem Betta Basics 250ml

Seachem Betta Basics 250mlI bought this based on reviews. After 1 day of the water change, the water became chunky, looked like white pulp floating

and my fish became very inactive. Seemed like he stayed at the top trying to breathe. I went back to Aqueon betta bowl conditioner plus, I have had no trouble with burning the fish as prev reviews read. The fish store said the only way that happens is using to much water conditioner based on the volume of water.

Ideally suited for treating soft tap water or deionized water. However, it can't soften your water or remove alkalinity. Even if you have a water softener in a hard water area, you will still have highly alkaline water, which can lead to fish kills. In such cases, use betta basics to buffer deionized water from the grocery store during your weekly water changes.

Pure Aquatic Wide Common Starfish Aquarium Ornament 4.5 in. x 6.5 in. x 1 in.

Pure Aquatic Wide Common Starfish Aquarium Ornament 4.5 in. x 6.5 in. x 1 in.The star isn't as yellow as shown in the photo. The one I received is green on the center with yellow only on the outer edges. Also one point of the star is not even half the length of the other 4 points. Having one a little shorter is fine, but it's so short it's looks lopsided and just plain odd. Not as nice as photo portrays it. I would NOT recommend this to anyone.

TOM Aquarium Maintenance Mr. Cleaner Battery Operated Gravel Siphon

TOM Aquarium Maintenance Mr. Cleaner Battery Operated Gravel SiphonI originally had my heart set on the Eheim Quick Vac Pro, which was over $60. I saw this priced at less than a third of the cost and decided to give it a shot. I had to search online for instructions on how to assemble but was surprised that it went together just how I thought that I should have kept tinkering with it and I would have had it.

This was tested out on a 20 gallon long bare-bottom tank with tons of detritus that my siphon never seemed to remove. At first, the thing takes a little help to get suction. I had to tilt it over into the water right up to the "Water Line" indication. Once I had the water level to where it had suction, I began to move the gravel washer head around. It seemed to pick up better when the detritus was already afloat not laying on the bottom of the tank.

I was not too terribly impressed with the suction UNTIL I removed the gravel washer head. It is totally unnecessary and decreases the efficiency of this vacuum. I had to stop to rinse the net out twice, and to fiddle with the impeller to remove dead snail shells. (puffer tank) To avoid pulling things into the impeller I placed a brine shrimp net over the intake pipe. This also helped me "steer" the intake pipe around the tank because the vacuum is a little oddly balanced.

Be aware that this does not put the water back into the tank internally. Water is pulled up through the pipe, towards the impeller, and into the waste collection net, then back into the tank on the OUTSIDE of the pipe it just went up. You will have to pay attention so that you don't move the vacuum too close to the edge of your tank thus holding the collection net over the edge of your tank and siphoning sediment free water onto your floor.

****mine came with an algae scraper head, which I have yet to use

****mine came with a hose adapter, for use in siphoning water, which I have not used

In summary for $16 this product did great (without the gravel washer head)

This vacuum is the best thing since sliced bread. It goes together easily, has great pick-up suction, the tubing is long enough to reach the back corners of a 20 inch tall tank and does not lose power. The on/off switch at the top if convenent and easy to get to. I have dropped the entire vaccum in the tank, dried off the batteries and continued cleaning.

The only issue this vacuum has is the "sock" for catching debris. I replaced that with a knee-high nylon, you know the womens sock for pants and dress shoes, held it on with a rubber band and clean without debris that someone else complained of.

This vacuum makes tank maintenance so easy and I tend to "tidy up" almost daily. Thank you Tom Aquarium Supply and give a raise to whoever came up with this idea.

The company that I purchased this from, Strictly Pet Supplies, sent the item very quickly and it was packaged well as well.

The siphon works great and is easy to use. When it touches the bottom it won't pick up the aquatic soil or rocks, but it will pick up all the crap and fish excriment that has accumulated there. The tube has an adjustable length so I can use it in my tall and short aquariums. You can also purchase replacement filter bags.

Some other reviewers on other sites complained that the item is fragile and can break. This is true. Some parts looks like they're made from thin plastic and can break if you drop it. But its not the manufacturers fault, you just have to be careful when using it.

Read Best Reviews of TOM Aquarium Maintenance Mr. Cleaner Battery Operated Gravel Siphon Here

This device actually has decent suction. It had no problem picking up all the debris off the bottom of my fish tank and depositing them in to the 'sock'. But unfortunately the fine particles of debris blew right through the cloth sock and back into the water. After a minute of vacuuming, my whole fish tank was clouded. The debris in my tank consisted of mostly goldfish poo, which tends to break apart easily. If you are picking up courser debris, it might work better, but I feel that the 'sock' filter bag really does not provide adequate filtration. Not recommended.

Want TOM Aquarium Maintenance Mr. Cleaner Battery Operated Gravel Siphon Discount?

Putting it together was easy, albeit there were no directions other than a diagram on the back of the package, but it is very obvious from looking at the picture how to put it together. There was one thing the diagram doesn't mention, and that is this: there is a small black piece that is on top of the piece where you have to put the piece with the little "sock" on it. The piece with the "sock" will NOT go on if you don't take off the little black piece first. I believe that was the issue that one of the reviewers here had and ended up breaking it trying to get the sock piece on without taking off the black piece first. So just make sure you remove the black piece and it will be as easy as eating pie. :)

Also, at first I thought it didn't work because it wasn't creating any suction. I read a few reviews here and saw a mention to tip it to help create suction. As I went back to try it again, I noticed it has a "water line" on it and the water was not reaching that line, hence no suction could be created. When I put it into the tank again and angled it so it was under the water at the water line, the suction started up no problem. So if you are having issues, just make sure you have enough water and angle it until the unit has water up to the water line and it will work like a charm! Also, once it has suction it will keep suction until water reaches the portion on the gravel foot where air can get under it or until you lift it up to the point where air gets in there. It has REALLY good suction, and I even moved it around in the water to suck up old food particles still hanging around. It took care of them very easily as well.

I used this for cleaning the gravel at the bottom of my 30 gallon tank and IT WORKED WONDERFULLY. Anyone who says otherwise wasn't using it correctly. I even used it to do a water change in my tank, all the while my fish were HAPPY. They even came to check it out and went right up to it with no stress. I used to dread water changes because catching the fish in the nets and putting them in a bucket completely traumatized them, but now I don't have to do that ever again. Just make sure when you are using it to remove water or put water in, that you have a bowl nearby to catch the water as it first comes out (especially if you have to tip it to start it up) so water doesn't get all over the place as you are trying to move it over to where you want the water to go.

I also added an extra "sock" on as mentioned in another review (used the foot end of a knee high) and this helped to catch the finer particles that were making it through the original sock and back into the water. I used a rubber band off a bunch of broccoli and put the pantyhose sock on with it and then put the original sock over it, so I had double filtration.

Overall it is a STEAL for the price and works really, really well once you get used to it. If you follow the tips here, you should have a great experience with it. I know the tips helped me, and I hope they help you! :)

Aqueon 06141 Submersible Pump 3000, 630 GPH

Aqueon 06141 Submersible Pump 3000, 630 GPHI purchased this pump to use as a return for a 90 gal tank. While testing the plumbing, I found the pump has decent flow for a five foot lift. I was pretty happy with that. It was not the quietest pump, but for the money, I wasn't going to complain

The biggest issue with it is the housing. It is cheap plastic and very fragile. I snapped the return fitting clean off the top while securing the last of the plumbing connections.

I guess I'll be looking for a little more durable pump to finally get my tank up and running.

Strong, reliable but noisy.

Had a lot of vibration in my sump with this pump. Would probably not buy again.

Marina Fine Nylon Fish Net

Marina 3-Inch Blue Fine Nylon Net with 10-Inch HandleThis net works fantastic for my 2.5 Gallon Fish Bowl. I'm able to slowly get my quick Betta inside and transfer him out to clean the bowl.

The net is great quality and sturdy so you don't have to worry it breaking. This is a small net so it's best fit for small tanks, for me I have a fish bowl so this is perfect!

Pretty much does the job for me.

I was looking for something to clean the silt out of the bottom of my artificial fish pond. I needed a net with a very fine mesh and a relatively sturdy handle. This is just about perfect. It doesn't catch the finest particles when they've been stirred up, but it does grab them when they're piled at the bottom of the pond. I wish the handle were a little longer, but it's pretty sturdy at least. I'm thrilled I found this net for so cheap; I thought I was going to have to drop ten bucks or more for something that I would then have to modify to work properly.

Eclipse Aquarium Filtration and Lighting System

Marineland PFE2 Eclipse Illumination Kit Twin Lamps, fits 12-Inch by 24-Inch tanksI recently purchased this hood and paired it with a 20 gal glass tank. This is my first tank and I've found it to be very easy and hassle free. The tank stays very clean and clear and the fish seem to be very healthy and happy. It may be a little pricey compared to a standard setup, but for me, the ease of use and convenience of having everything in one package is worth it. And the top access makes maintenance easy. I currently have 5 zebra danios, 6 cory cats and 3 oto cats in the tank and all seem to be doing very well. I would highly recommend this item for the beginner.

I would also highly recommed purchasing and studying several books on fishkeeping (I bought and read at least 4) before purchasing any system and definitely before purchasing any fish!

Good luck and happy fishkeeping!

Yes, I noticed the rattling problem with the pump. It seems that if the impeller isn't inserted just right then there is this really annoying grating noise that over time will drive you nuts. But the solution is simple, take it apart, make sure everything is clean and spinning freely and just start it up again (something you will need to do anyway from time to time for maintenance).

I find the filter setup to work well though, and the overall design to be quite good.

The lighting? Whether you like it or not depends on whether you want real plants or not. 36 watts for a 25 gallon tank, like mine, is not going to cut it. So you have to find a retrofit system. Sunpaq has some options, but you're going to have to be fairly handy with some tools.

I ended up just removing the stock lighting and then cutting out a slot from both the front and back lift up covers and sticking a Coralife 130w unit over the top of the whole thing. About 5 watts per gallon will "get-er-done".

My advise to the Marineland people is to have some different lighting options available for their all-in-one hoods. I think they'd sell more, or at least be able to sell some retrofits or upgrades once people figure out that the stock system has these limitations. As is, the retrofits are coming from other companies.

I bought the thing because the sales dude told me I could upgrade the lighting later. He either knowingly lied, or didn't explain that I would be looking at an exciting retrofit project. ;o)

I purchased this tank 9 months ago and have been fairly happy with it. It looks nice. I love the rounded corners which look much better than the glued glass panes. The acrylic material is still holding up, but I am a lot more careful cleaning it than with glass. The only problem I've had with this unit is a rattling noise that seems to come from the hood. It can be quite for 10 minutes to a couple of days. Then it starts rattling. I adjust the hood and it goes away. Lately, in the last couple of weeks the pump has started with some serious rattling which I can't get rid of. It annoys me and I am sure the fish are even more annoyed. I cleaned the impeller and every surface of the pump, but without luck. So I think I have to go buy a new pump.

Read Best Reviews of Eclipse Aquarium Filtration and Lighting System Here

This is my second Eclipse 3 [not 2 as sold above] for my 29-gallon tank. I love the convenience of it, etc. But the hood light has never properly worked -not on the first one, which I had for nearly three years, nor on the new one. Only one bulb illuminates -unless you take the darned thing apart and do quite a bit of maneuvering daily. Just thought I should share that with all.

We recently replaced our under gravel filter system with an Eclipse 2 lid. It truly is a complete mechanical, chemical & biological system all in one. Upsides: Looks great, is well designed, keeps the water clean & clear, easy to maintain, the live plants are thriving and our fish are entertained with the current created with the filter outflow. We have not noticed any loud noise issues with the pump/filter. Downside: The dual lighting system and very little ventilation in the lid cause our tank temps to go over 80 degrees during the summer. We tried leaving the back lid open in the air-conditioned room and adding chilled water daily, but the temps still got over 80. We solved the problem by cutting a hole in the back lid and wiring in a small computer fan which we run on a timer when the lights are on. The temp is now consistently at 77 degrees. Despite the lack of air circulation, we are still very pleased with the Eclipse filtration lid.

This is a good deal. There is enough food to last six months to a year. It turns out that Flash won't eat pellet food, but my friend's Betta loves it. It is made of excellent ingredients and it stays on the surface a long time. If left in his tank it fouls the water. If your fish likes pellets this is great stuff and the pellets are small enough for most Bettas. All this being said at this price it is a bargain.

Vibran-Sea Flowering Willow Leaf Silk-Style Aquarium Plant, Large 13-14 tall, Yellow

Vibran-Sea Flowering Willow Leaf Silk-Style Aquarium Plant, Large 13-14 tall, YellowGreat plant with great color. My fish like to swim amongst the soft leaves and pick for food or play around. Looks great under the florescent light. I have a 20 Gallon long tank and since the plant is large the top leaves float on the surface which makes it look like a more natural environment which I noticed has had a good effect on my fish. I also like how the leaves don't begin until an inch or two above the base and allows the fish to float there and have a nice shaded space. Great product which would be way more money at a retail pet shop.

This is one of my favorites silk plants. It is a large size and ok for my 25 gal tank, but it takes a lot of space with its broad leaves, so keep that in mind if you have a smaller tank.. The colors are really prettywarm yellows and auburns which look great with a blue or black background. I like the shapes of the unique leaves; they look real. The colors are vibrant but not so bright as to look fake. I would love to someday have real plants, but until then this is the best choice.

I have a 25 gal freshwater tank which looked boring before I decorated it with 12 silk plantssmall, med and large sizes. I arranged the plants around black lava rocks and added a blue background. The plants fan out from either side of the rocks and sway in the water.

The colors of the plants make the colors of the fish stand out more. Plus the fish seem to feel more secure because they can hide among the plants, like they would in the wild. They search the leaves and under the plants for missed food. There are lots of little areas among the plants for the fish to explore and hide. As a pet owner, I feel like it is my responsibility to provide the most comfortable home I can. My little guys seem relaxed and seem to like having these silk plants in their aquarium.

I am happy with these plants. I like the way they add color and texture to my aquarium and my fish like having a more comfortable home.

I really liked the way this plant looked when I got it, it looks great in the water and moves around like a real plant would. I am disappointed because it has stained a lot. I've tried cleaning it, to no avail. I've read that you shouldn't use bleach to clean anything that will go back in an aquarium so it seems that there aren't too many other options. Nice looking plant if you can figure out a way to clean it.

San Francisco Bay Brand ASF71109 Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp for Fresh and Saltwater Fish, 20gm

San Francisco Bay Brand ASF71109 Freeze Dried Brine Shrimp for Fresh and Saltwater Fish, 20gmDon't be like me and wait too long to learn that the ingredients contained in the standard flake or pellet food are inadequate.

I have a few larger sized fantail goldfish in a 40 gallon tank. Since I am a casual fish owner I just always assumed the flake food and pellets contained the correct ingredients to provide a fish with a balanced diet.

I was wrong. And, now I am looking at my most favorite fish in the tank next to me sitting on the bottom of the tank suffering with constipation.

For months this fish would swim and lay upside down. It was upside down as much as it was right side up. It wasn't until it stopped swimming altogether that I realized I had neglected to balance it's diet properly and it is severly constipated.

Brine shrimp are recommended to prevent this condition. And, your fish won't necessarily exhibit clear signs like mine did.

So, add this item to your fishes diet and do them a favor. My fish love it, and go crazy when it hits the water. Time will tell if I waited too long for the upside swimming fish.

In my opinion there are a lot of fillers in this product. It is difficult to tell by the label (see below) since I don't know the make-up of brine shrimp, just basing that on appearance. But, there is a product out there that is not in chunk form and is not grey-ish in color. It is pure, freeze dried brine shrimp. No fillers. When you open the bottle there are literally small shrimp you take out one by one to feed the fish. I won't mention the brand or store out of respect for this product, because it works great also!

Crude Protein: Min 55%

Crude Fat: Min 7%

Crude Ash: Max 18%

Crude Fiber: Max 3%

Moisture: Max 7%

This is one food I can honestly say all of my aquatic pals love. My african dwarf frog, betta, danios, tetra, etc, ALL love this stuff. It's kind of clumpy and in my opinion needs to be broken up/shredded a bit. But other than that, this stuff is great.

I'm not impressed by this food. It seems to disintegrate to powder rather than anything resembling actual brine shrimp. The shrimp powder is too small to catch the fishes' interest which just ends up with unfed fish and a polluted tank.

Midwest Tropical AquaRound Aquarium

Midwest Tropical AquaRound Aquariumthis is a good aquarium I like the round shape the small size and that it is only 8 gallons much easier and cheaper to take care of then aquariums that are 25 gallons plus only thing I really did not like was the filter I needed to buy a internal filter not a big deal since most small internal filters don't cost that much

I find this product very well designed. I am very pleased with the detail and the clarity of the tank. I was hoping nevertheless that I would be able to place the top over a filter that I have placed on the top of the tank. However, this was not a part of the original design so I am not complaining.

Otherwise, a very good product

Tetra Pond Bio-Active Pressure Filters with UV Clarifier

Tetra Pond Bio-Active Pressure Filters BP1500-UVI installed this filter 3 weeks ago. So far it is working great. It has my pond water crystal clear and has removed all algae, dirt and odors. I especially like the fact that I have'nt needed to change any foam filters since it does'nt have any. I also bought the Tetra DHP3600 pump which was recommended for the back flush to work properly. It also increased the water flow to my waterfalls.

I have had a pond for 9 years and was getting tired of constantly cleaning the foam filter. I almost decided to get rid of the pond but the way this product has eliminated the maintenance, I decided to keep it.

We have a kidney bean shaped 1000 gallon outdoor pond that was getting very difficult to maintain. We have plenty of oxygenating plants (a few lily pads, parrot's feather, aquatic mint) which was keeping a lot of the algae at bay but the water was always cloudy and difficult to see into. A friend purchased the larger version and sold me on it, so we figured we'd give it a shot.

Installing the filter is easy: connect your pump to the filter inlet with tubing and then more tubing from the outlet to where you want it to flow... in our case, the top of our waterfall. Make sure to purchase some Teflon Tape to wrap the inlet and outlet adapters and a few Hose Clamps based on the size of your tubing for a waterproof seal. We plugged it in (the UV light needs electricity) and waited a few days. The instructions say it takes up to 3 weeks to start seeing the effects.

In our case, the water cleared up in 2 days! Literally, crystal clear water. Now keep in mind, this filter does not remove all the algae in the pond, the UV light sterilizes the algae so it cannot reproduce. It makes it a lot easier to maintain though and does not disappoint. There is a convenient knob on the top of the unit to backflush the unit if it gets clogged. Simply turn the knob from one direction to the other and it will backflush all of the dirt and debris from the filter out of the unit. Turn the knob back on to resume normal flow.

All in all, we are very satisfied, the price is a bit steep but definitely the cheapest around and completely worth it in the long run. One more thing to keep in mind, whenever you use a pressure filter in a pond system, expect a normal loss of anywhere from 25-45% in water flow. Make sure you have a pump that is between 3000 and 4500 gallons per hour and it should work just fine for you and you won't have too much of a noticeable loss.

Buy Tetra Pond Bio-Active Pressure Filters with UV Clarifier Now

This filter is wonderful. I previously had a jebo filter that was cheap and got the job done for about a year, but when it comes to ponds the saying,"You get what you pay for," is very true. I love the backwash feature on this tetra filter, so much better than the jebo! Although I wish the outlet for the backwash was a standard garden hose size for more convenient watering of my garden plants, but is an easy fix. The construction is very sturdy, if it needs parts to be replaced they are easy to find online. Putting the filter media in initially is a little tricky, but worth it because I'll never have to do that again. no more hosing off the filter sponges, yay!

After getting a recommendation from my local pond store I purchased the Tetra Pond Bio-Active Pressure Filter and it is such a treat to NOT have to wash out the sponges from my previous filter. It took about 3 weeks but my pond is clear!!!!

I've been using this filter for a couple of years, and overall I'm very happy with it. One point to note, however: It's possible for the filter to be overwhelmed by too much string algae. If this happens, back flushing just doesn't work. If back flushing doesn't seem to work for you (or only works for a day or less) and you open up the filter canister and see that it's filled with a thick "pudding" of green algae with the filter pellets embedded in that pudding, then you've got a problem.

But not an insoluble one. After some experimentation I came up with a good way to clean the filter media -a method that's vastly better than trying to clean each pellet off with your fingers:

1. Get a five-gallon bucket and drill a lot of holes in the bottom. These holes should be about 5/16" in size -too small for the filter pellets to fit through or get jammed in. Drill as many holes as you can without them overlapping.

2. Scoop several handfuls of the algae-and-filter-pellet goop out of your filter and into the bucket.

3. Using a garden hose with the nozzle set to a tightly-focused spray, work the spray back and forth over the goop in your bucket, holding the bucket at an angle with just the edge resting on the ground (this allows the water to run through the holes in the bottom of the bucket easily). Gradually (assuming you have good water pressure) the algae will be blasted away from the pellets and flushed out through the bottom of the bucket.

4. Take the cleaned pellets out of the bucket and set aside. Repeat the process with more batches of goop from the filter, but note that you don't want all the pellets to be completely algae-free; you need some algae in there for the filter to work.

5. I spoke to the people at Tetra Pond, and they recommended a product like Phosphate Minus to cut down on the amount of string algae growing in my pond, and to hopefully keep this from happening again.

Laguna Replacement Vacuum Filter Bag

Laguna Replacement Vacuum Filter BagThe price was better and the sinch on it was perfect to bag carbon for my filter. Good quality material

I have a small fish pond. Since I live in an oak woods, lot of organic materials fall into the pond. Chemicals help but I sometimes need more, so I bought this wand. Frankly, I liked the price but didn't expect much. And I got it. It works although it takes a while and it's a pain to empty the bag. Still, for the price, you can't do better.

Zoo Med Nano 511 External Canister Filter

Zoo Med Nano 511 External Canister FilterI thought this filter was going to be overkill for my 10 gallon freshwater aquarium, but I was wrong!

My PX-360 canister filter for my 10 gallon aquarium went out on me, so I needed something more reliable..

It lasted about 2 months, then the pump started loosing power, resulting in weak filtration and flow..

What I like most about this filter is that it flow regulators included, for both the IN and OUT lines to the tank and filter (aka: send and return).

I found myself running the IN line (filter) at max, and the OUT (return) and 3/4 power, because there was some bubbles in the return of the water,

possibly due to the CO2 diffuser in the mix..

The thing that wasn't so hot is the canister lid, which is supposed to open easily, but doesn't in my opinion.

Not a huge deal, it works great and I'm sure it would do well for a saltwater aquarium too!

I got this a few days ago my local pet store had this on massive sale (40%) off so I figured what the heck, why not? It beat waiting for the Fluval 105 to drop to even greater clearance prices. I ADORE this. You can't buy more filter media that's this brand but that's one of the best parts. It's made so you can get your own media bags and fill it with what you need carbon, ammo-carb, etc. And there's enough room for my small baggie of peat granules to soften my water.

Like the other reviewer I love how I can change the flow for the intake and output hoses. Because my tank is a tall 15 gallon I have them both set on high but for a smaller tank or a tank with more currentsensitive fish this feature is a must.

Lastly, like the 1st reviewer, I have noticed that the opening to fill the canister doesn't open easily. It creates a very tight suction so I have to unscrew it before I put the whole top back onto the canister, but it seals easily enough so that's not much of an annoyance. In fact I like that kids couldn't accidentally open it while the filter was running.

Simple Solution Washable Cover-Ups, Medium, Pink/Purple

Simple Solution Washable Cover-Ups, Medium, Pink/PurpleI purchased these for my Am. Cocker Spaniel to wear while she is in heat. These are so cute! I like them better than a pair we got by Pooch Pad (also size medium). These (by Simple Solutions) are designed better, with a section of shirred elastic at the belly for a MUCH better fit. These are less bulky since they aren't padded (just lined), but if more absorbency is needed, you can use the liners they sell. My dog didn't really need padding, so I like this non-bulky, really "Comfy" style. The tail hole is just slightly smaller which is also better for my Cocker, but it would still fit any dog I think. The issue with the other brand was that the tail hole was so big that, well, her "girl part" stuck out some usually, which means leakage can happen. On the other hand, she does want access so she can clean herself (I know--yuck!). The Medium is a good fit for my slim to average Cocker Spaniel (about 21 pounds with about a 17-inch waist). She's only 9 months old, but I think she is done growing unless she puts on weight. The Medium says it goes to 35 lbs, but I don't think it would fit if she were that much heavier. It would depend on the breed though, but this is what I think for a Cocker. Disclaimer: I tried these on her, but since she is not in heat anymore, she hasn't actually used them yet, but I can tell we're both going to love them!

UPDATE: After almost 2 more years, these continue to be a great purchase. Very comfy! I think she actually likes wearing them!

My mixed breed, part Basset Hound female dog is around 16 years old and recently has become fecally incontinent. At first, I tried Pampers Cruisers and cut a hole for her tail, but the diapers kept sliding off.

These adjustable panties with velcro tabs by Simple Solutions have saved the day!! I now use Parents Choice (much less expensive diapers)on my dog and these panties keep the diapers on without a problem. I highly recommend these Simple Solutions adjustable panties for anyone whose dog suffers from incontinence! My dog and I are both happy!
