Bought this to make compost tea in a 5 gallon bucket. I might have a defective unit because it won't make bubbles unless the end of the tubing is less than 1/2 inch from water surface. I noticed on the pump it has only 2.5 psi.
We went for a brass adapter because we were already having to replace a plastic one. This one fit the threads just right, and we expect to get many more years of service out of it. It was a choice of replacing several plastic ones periodically or getting one that is less likely to cross-thread in the first place.
Just received this in the mail today and set it up. Now I had to get the adapter bc this is for a paintball canister. This with the adapter makes a nice system so you can run CO2 to your planted aquarium tank. I tested it by placing into the water and there was zero leakage or bubbles which is perfect. Turned the regulator on and was able to control the amount of bubbles needed per second. Overall this is perfect if this is what your looking for. You can get this at its price and the adapter is 16.00 but in the long run will save you big time. Now I dont have to waste 14.00 every three weeks using liquid co2 for the tanks and my plants respond so much better. Plus, it only cost me 3.00 to refill my canisters for co2. thanks so much for thinking of us who dont want to spend crazy dollars for a regulator.

The valve could be a little tricky if not using with a bubble counter. Make sure you monitor the flow before leaving it. Flow might stop after a few minutes.Also you will need a paintball adapter if connecting to a paint ball canister.
I don't normally write reviews, but since there are none, I thought I would help out this company. Like the post says so far so good. Filtering systems seems to be working O.K. Good Flow. But there is no filter, just the blocks. I put a filter in one of the block holders. My tank has dwarf puffers and they eat blood worms which is nice to get filtered out.Warning do not try to use sand for your substrate. I wasted about four hours trying to get the filter unclogged. It kept on getting clog. I finally washed all the sand out, and used rocks. Much better. Light is nice. Clearness is nice. Just set up so I will re-post after some time. Just not sure if this filter system is going to be efficient.
I bought this product to use alongside some less expensive and taller pieces of the same color. When I first took this bush out of the packaging, it didn't really look any different from the cheaper plants I had bought. So, I was a bit disappointed because the height of the branches were all the same and it didn't look as natural as the picture. However, after two days I love how it looks and it looks exactly like the picture now. The branches are much more spread out and it looks very very natural in my dark tank. Please note, the base of the jardin products is the most high quality in the industry. I love Jardin decorations in part due to the weight and attachments of the base holding the plant in place. I would order this product again with no hesitation. It really adds beauty to my tank. As you can tell, I am very pleased with this product and Amazon Prime free two day shipping made it even better.
This product is beautiful & larger than expected & really is gorgeous in my aquarium. It is very realistic looking & my sailfin Black Mollies think it is part of their underwater racetrack! This is gravel what else can you say? Its a bit more expensive than what I would have likes especially since I found the same exact thing cheaper on the shelf at a huge chain pet store.

Not sure what to say exacly about this product. I have had coral for a while now and I was using other (cheaper) foods. I use this along with other foods to provide a variety for the different coral. Since using this product I have noticed deeper more vibrant colors. But I also use a couple of other things so I can't credit 100% of that to this product. It's not good to feed your coral the same thing every time. This item says to be refrigerated unlike some of the compeditors stuff. This protein skimmer has alot of mixed reviews..some good some bad...I currently own a 29gallon Biocube and i needed a protien skimmer that fit my budget which was between $0-$100..after much research i decided to give this skimmer a try to see if it was something of quality or junk...When you first start it up and you calibrate the airvalve control.it will start to fizzle white bubbles really fast..This will continue for the next 2-4 days until you see the skimmer really start working..Gradually you will see those tiny bubbles turn into slow huge foaming bubbles giving off alot of brown and green crap comming from your tank...If calibrated properly it will take about a week or two before you will need to empty the waste chamber...The only downside that i didnt like..was that the airstone has to be changed every month for this skimmer to do what it is suppose to do..Amazon sells them here for $5.95 with free shipping which isnt too bad..Overall i gave this product 5stars because it works and it works well for the money you pay...You just have to be patient and you will see the progress..

I've had protein skimmers before and have read some reviews that say don't buy this as it is undersized and ineffective but I have to be honest: it does its job, fits in my BioCube 29 with no modifications, and has required no adjusting at all in about 30 days of operation. The waste chamber is a bit small and has to be emptied every 2-3 days max or I'd give it 5 stars. Other than that, it is pulling a decent amount of protein out of the water as evidenced by what is in the chamber. Other more expensive units may pull out more but this is designed for a 14/29 gallon tank: there shouldn't be that much to pull out in the first place unless you are overfeeding or have die off. One tip: KEEP the factory particulate filter in place and just hang this unit on the filter itself. The instructions tell you to remove the mechanical filter and never tell you to place it back in. I don't recommend that as you'll end up with the bioball chamber filling with gunk. Just hang the skimmer in the middle of the filter so it is level and keep both protein and mechanical filtration in place. Works fine on the 29 gallon. You know I can almost see why so many people post negative reviews... My biggest complaint would have to be putting the unit in the center chamber of the biocube can be annoying to pull the top out to empty. I run my heater/filter cartridge in 1st chamber, skimmer in center, live rock cheato in third and I didn't have any problems but this unit has made my water crystal clear!!! But initially I was going crazy trying to figure out why it keeps OVERFLOWING with bubbles. There is a small adjustment wheel on the tubing from the pump. you really have to adjust this appropriately to get the skimmer to function correctly.Want Oceanic 82053 BioCube Protein Skimmer Discount?
This product is cheap. It barely pulls any wasted protein out to notice a change without it. It probably easier to just do constant water changes (which I do anyways) instead of trying to place this in the back of the BioCube and moving my heater into the actual tank.
Work great in my reactor, very happy with them. I will purchase them again when they need to be replaced.

I know biological filtration and "seeding" aquariums but I am dubious as to the validity of this product. I feel it may be nothing more than dirty aquarium water at best.
While this seemed like a good product at a good price, mine fell apart shortly after buying. The bottom cap will not stay on mine making it a hassle to use. There has to be better quality thermometers out there.

Granted, I'm not using the nets that I purchased on traditional fish tanks. Instead, I use them to clear floating debri in my horses' water tanks. The netting so far seems to be holding up to the repeated usage. What I find lacking is strength in the wire frame. On all three nets that I bought, the wire frames are easy to bend and distort. The wire is not as stiff as previous nets I have had. In that respect, I'm a bit disappointed with the product ... but not to the extent that I wouldn't buy them again.
