this gravel will not hold plants in place by itself. in an hour my lilies were floating on their own. i had to put 5 inch rocks on top and that is not so attractive.

The pond planting media was exactly what I was looking for. When I opened the box I found the bag inside two really big bags. The reason for this is that the bag was slit open. There is no way I got 25 pounds. Probably more like 15.

I bought the medium tent for my dog who is about 30 pounds. She started chewing just about...everything in the house so I looked into getting a crate but they all seemed so small and I wanted something with a little more room and that I could easily take with me when I travel. We saw this crate a few years back and fell in love with the design. It's super light weight and the setup takes only seconds.

We purchased two of these for our dogs. The mechanical design of the pop of feature is done very well. Solid, durable and has a place to secure the cords to prevent the tent from an accidental collapse.

We travel with our dogs and this has made carrying their crates into hotels so much more manageable. The crate comes with a bag that has a shoulder strap.

Our dogs sleep in their crates and one is a gentle giant, he's only 60 pounds but he's tall (medium Labradoodle). I felt bad putting them to bed at night watching him walk in with his head down and then clumsily turn around so that he could lay down. His last crate was 42x26 and probably 26 inches tall. I initially purchased this for a Leopard gecko, however, I was a little concerned because this is known for catching the lizards nails, but I was also concerned with the inability to get out without jumping, not good, so I am now using for my Lygodactlyus Williamsi, (Electric Blue Day Gecko) and it's perfect. It may work for some other species such as Crested gecko's as well, but I would not reccomend for a Leopard gecko, unless placed low to floor level.

I got this for a 10 gallon tank with a splitter (two male bettas), and I wanted a large plant to split the view so the bettas do not see each other easily. This plant looks great and is very large, (I had to tuck it in the back to keep it under water, since it wanted to go higher then my 10 gallon tank). It has a plastic bottom, and due to the size takes a little effort to bury it under the gravel, since the gravel does not want to stay in the plastic cup. However, once you get it in it looks really nice in the tank and the aquarium's lid light really looks good bouncing off of the leaves, making it a very nice bright blue coloring to the tank). I got this with two purple/blue plants to cut off view from the two sides of the betta tank. It works perfectly and the male betta loves swimming through the leaves and laying against it in the tank.

In the end this is large plant and looks nice in my tank, it helps cover the splitting wall for my 10 gallon betta tank, and the betta seems to love to swim through it and lay on the plant. It is a great addition to the tank and it seems to have received the approval of Tofu, my male betta (the other betta is named Sushi). :) Highly recommend!!

My theme in my guppy tank is blue and purple. This so far has stayed together, and looks very pretty.

Very disappointed that my two cats (13 years) were not interested in this toy at all. I think the design is great and the concept of keeping their teeth cleaner / in better condition is top notch. May be I should become a cat and show my two a thing or two and improve their taste in toys?

Don't know how well it is helping his teeth, but seldom do I see my cat without the Octo-Floss in his mouth. It goes with him to other rooms, to sleep, and he has even given it a drink. He seems to have favorite legs to mouth, and one needs a bit of darning at its end, so perhaps that is my indicator that he is, indeed, getting the dental benefit as well.

(There is nothing quite so delightful as having your loving cat take a toy to his water bowl, soak it and then bring it to your bed.)

I had tried to get a replacement top for my 47 gal column aquarium before from a different vendor. Two shipments later (with all the follow-up having to be done by yours truly) I still had nothing due to broken glass in the mail etc.

Dealing with _this_ company through Amazon was simple and easy. I could track the package, it arrived fine and is exactly what I needed. Everything should be this simple.

Dimensions are nominal so it will fit the standard tank. I prefer this to the original which had the handle attached on the wrong (to me the small one worked best) panel. You will need some care and muscle to insert the glass into the hinge, try inserting on one end first. Remember that the hinge has cutouts for the supporting lip on the tank, put the handle on AFTER you have the glass panels and cutout assembled the way you want it.

My fish tank is an odd size to find just any lid to fit on it, so after doing some research with the company who made my tank I was able to search by product number and found it cheapest through Amazon. After a year and a half my original lid had split at the seam, but that could have happened during a move. Also, when the lid shatters it isn't in as many pieces as a glass one. Clean up was much easier when it hit the ground. (That was due to circumstances not caused by the product).

Fluval U Underwater Filter BioMax

We have a couple turtles and this has helped a lot. I keeps the water cleaner for longer, and keeps it from looking yellow.

Although the Biomax rings (designed for their canister filters) will fit in a U2, U3 and U4 these fit better but are otherwise the same. Since you should only change half at one time and you can rejuvenate the other half several times before replacing them this supply should last you a long time and at a reasonable price.

Although the U series are NOT silent as some claim they are extremely quiet so long as you have them deep enough to just cover the top of the unit. Otherwise noise will come out of any non-submerged portion of the filter. It's the usual humming noise. Once submerged only the Venturi (if used) will create any significant noise. You can also use a standard 1/4" hose in the Venturi and place the other end in a semi-enclose space to make it even more quiet but I'd add a valve (sold on Amazon.com) to avoid any possible back flow during a power failure or when turning it off and refilling the tank during a water change. It may back flow and siphon otherwise but since the tube rises out of the tank and well above the water line it's less likely to back flow unlike with siphon or pump since the contain water instead of air. However if you fill a tank too quickly it could create enough pressure to make ti rise just enough but only under with enough pressure from inflowing water. A simple valve will make it always safe to use a 1/4 inch air hose to supply the Venturi with air at any depth of placement.

I bought this for my Fluval Edge and although it is basically loose in the box I managed to figure out a way that works for me and my tank.

After rinsing it very well, before replacing the old biomax, I cut some white replacement filter foam that is way thinner than the original Fluval filter foams and fold it in there so its not loose in my grey plastic filter holder.

I can't put too much because there is limited space in the holder for everything the tank needs but I get enough in there that works out well.

I would recommend and buy it again.

Just received this in the mail today and set it up. Now I had to get the adapter bc this is for a paintball canister. This with the adapter makes a nice system so you can run CO2 to your planted aquarium tank. I tested it by placing into the water and there was zero leakage or bubbles which is perfect. Turned the regulator on and was able to control the amount of bubbles needed per second. Overall this is perfect if this is what your looking for. You can get this at its price and the adapter is 16.00 but in the long run will save you big time. Now I dont have to waste 14.00 every three weeks using liquid co2 for the tanks and my plants respond so much better. Plus, it only cost me 3.00 to refill my canisters for co2. thanks so much for thinking of us who dont want to spend crazy dollars for a regulator.

as someone else mentioned on their review, this thing is hard to adjust, it fluctuates after you set it, I've been trying for a few days, but every time after a few hours of setting it to the right flow, the flow rate changes or stops altogether.

with a bubble wand and it works great. The clear plastic covers on the bottoms legs are a nice addition. I think it does help in absorbing some of the noise, but for me it's still not quiet enough, and that's only because this tank is in my bedroom. At night, when it's quiet, it can be annoying, but during the day, I barely notice the sound.

UPDATE: 1/21/13

I changed my rating from 4 to 5, because it turns out that the noise was due to the fact that the airtube was too long. After shortening it so that it was just long enough, the air pump has been virtually silent. I am planning on getting another one for my other tank.

So I bought this filter a few days ago. This is the first wet dry filter I've bought, though many of my friends have or have had wet drys in the past. I finally had time to install it today. The instructions that come with the filter are pretty horrible; it looks like a 5 year old drew a picture of a wet dry filter and added captions. Luckily I've seen enough wet/drys in my life to know how it works and how it should be put together. I paired it with a marineland NJ1800 pump with variable flow and with a max flow rate of 474 gph. I figure since I have to lift the water up a few feet from the sump that would be close to the 300 gph of the overflow box.

The filter went in without much issue. I had a clearance issue but thats not an issue with the filter so i had to trim the pvc inserts they give you for the overflow line. Also perhaps my pump is too powerful but the output nozzle from the filter needed a clamp as it would constantly leak. I trimmed my lines to size and so far no problems. The pump is running full open and the overflow box seems to keep up without much issue. I had a issue with the u-tube having an air bubble in it and for the life of me I was unable to get it out but I poured a lot of water in the overflow box and it pushed the bubble out. The reason I give this 4 stars was because of the leaking of the nozzle and the poor instructions.

The pre-marked waterline is deffinetly a plus as I don't want to spend all day trying to figure out the best water level. So far I like the filter and will write another review after a few weeks. That review will be mainly about performance of the filter once its been run for longer than a few hours.

I love this system I had to do a lil modification to fit my needs but it works great I bought a longer return tubing put in on a ball valve to control the water because my pump was pumping water quicker than it was filling in the w/d all in all recommend it

I wouldn't bother buying this as you can easily recharge your canister with yeast & baking soda. We have the Hagen Co2 setup that this product is for and my husband tried making his own mix by filling the canister as usual with the prescribed sugar and lukewarm water and added a 1/4 teaspoon of breadmaking yeast granules and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and it works great.

That said, the Hagen unit is great value, but the "activator" is merely yeast granules and the "stabilizer" merely baking soda, (NOT baking powder). For the cost of these little packets, you can buy a jar of yeast and a box of baking soda that will be many times the amount you get in the packets. But hey, if you can't be bothered with measuring, go for it!

I have been using this product for at least three years now. I have to say is and excellent way to improve the grow, colors and health of your plants (almost to good).

The only considerations you have to take are:

1Install it in a place where you can easily access to maintain it (careful with the water)

2Regular measure the water Ph and Kh (it drops both because of the CO2). Consider to use only during the day period of your aquarium.

3Make a little research about the best aquarium light you can use to improve the C02 effect.

4Wait three weeks for the results.

5You will have to regular cut the long leafs (depending of your plants).

6Consider quit the active carbon if your using liquid of pills plants activators.

The price is a little high but the results are really good if you have a plan and good practices with your tank.

Rena Air 200 Air Pump

This air pump works but it pretty regularly starts making a very loud noise as if it is revving up an unseen engine before the green flag comes down. Unfortunately, it won't stop making this noise until you pick it up, look it over for some hint about why the air pump sounds like an experimental music festival, and then put it back down. Even if you put it in the exact same spot, the Rena Air 200 seems satisfied because it will return to the quiet hum...for a half-hour or so.

I gave it to Goodwill who will hopefully help it find use some place out of ear shot.

I've owned my Rena 200 now for 6+ years and am VERY happy. It's so quiet--almost silent. It is just now starting to loose some of its original power, though still performing well enough for my 30 gallon tank. I'll be replacing the diaphram with the rebuild kit and be ready to go for another run--maybe another 6 years. Great pump. The other reviews which mention the noise are NOT what I have experienced--like I said, running 6+ years now and all super quiet!

High quality pump that can be adjusted from zero to full output. I'm using it for a bring shrimp grow out container so it is tuned very low. The pump isn't completely quiet and will output a high pitched hum which is probably outside of the hearing frequency range for many adults, however if you can hear it placing the pump inside a cabinet will squelch the sound.

I am only writing this review because I am back to buy another one of these harnesses. I have the red one for my female beagle / spaniel mix. It works like magic.

We have two dogs, Macy (above) and Oreo a male shih tzu. Macy loves to pull and try to run and just act crazy on our walks. Oreo likes to stop and smell everything, then pee on it. So, walking the two of them has been a chore. My hand would be purple from the leash after walking a half mile with Macy. So I bought this harness (in Red). From the moment we put it on, she was a new dog!! It works by pulling the dogs legs backwards when they pull forward. She is smart, so she stopped pulling. Oreo doesn't pull very much, unless he gets on the trail of something that smells really good.... or unless he really wants to pee on something!

I'm back to get a harness for Oreo. I only have one teensy tiny complaint. If the leash goes slack, then the dog CAN get out of this harness. That is spooky. So I use it along with another small "leash extender" clipped to the collar. This harness doesn't use the dog's collar, and if you clip it to the collar, then you defeat the harness. With the leash extender clipped to the collar, I know my little beast isn't going anywhere, even if she manages to Houdini out of the harness.

Overall, I give it 5 stars and not only do I recommend it, but I'm getting myself another one, too!

This is a product that is as described and the LED light top is really pretty and cool. You can change it from just red, blue, green, or white, to combinations of those colors, to flashing, to softly fading, etc. It's fun to play with and looks great if you get a glow in the dark plant for it.

However, bowls this small are very unhealthy for Betta fish and you HAVE to change the water at least once a week or it will die. Mine lasted about... two months, maybe, then suddenly got sick and died even though I'd been changing his water a lot. The water gets smelly and nasty fast even with just one betta. After my fish died I sold this product to someone at my school for a lot less than original price, and I don't plan on getting this product again. If you don't mind if your fish dies after awhile of changing the water a lot go ahead and get it, but I'm going to spend a little more money on a 5 gallon with a filter instead of this for sure.

I have a pond that is about 5 feet wide and 10 feet long, and averages 4 feet deep. It is in the hot, direct Florida sun all day long. Despite a good level of both surface and bottom plants, string algae was a big problem. Also, was cleaning the skimmer filter as often as daily. Tried another product, which didn't help at all. I purchased these gloves a little over 3 months ago. I work in an aquatics store, and my skin is very sensitive to being in the water. Before I switched to the gloves, my eczema was extremely severe. With the help of the gloves I was able to clear up my skin, but that meant using them every time I needed to be in the tanks, whether it were bagging fish for a customer or tank maintenance (scrubbing, gravel vacuuming etc). All was going great until two days ago when I felt water leaking into my glove. Today I found why the seam holding the red part and the purple part together had come undone. The glove was rendered completely useless. I'm sure if you were using them less often they would work great but considering what I paid I was very disappointed that they only lasted me a few months. Especially since they are necessary for me to do my job.

I wanted to use these gloves to pick out some bubble algae using a tweezers but was unable to do it with the gloves on. They are more useful in moving large pieces of coral/glass cleaning etc.

Dec 2008 I have had them for a few years now. Quality is good no leaks so far!

I will say one of the reviews on an item purchased was incorrect for my fluval 404 filter. so, do your due diligence. As I recall it was the size of the hose required, the hose requirement were the same for each setup just as i thought. I called the company and they clarified this as well.
