I HAVE BEEN USING IT FOR ABOUT 7 YEARS AND MY PHYTOPLANKTON CLAMS ARE DOING GREAT ON THIS PRODUCT. I WILL ALWAYS USE THIS PRODUCT.

I am not sure if this product really does anything positive for my filter feeders and coral, but it hasn't harmed anything. I have seen a slight increase in algae growth since using this product, likely due to the added nutrients being dumped in the tank, but I can't be positive this product was the cause.

Instant Ocean Omnivore Marine Chips

Did not know what to expect, dry fish marine reef food. That being said, my fish love it! Increases coloration in fish, does not foul water. Very pleasantly surprised in how well it works. I prefer my fish to get vitamins and minerals that are sometimes lacking in even the best of frozen foods. My fish devour it within 5 minutes, and it helps with their immune system too.

Edit 5/14/13 I believe feeding this food caused my Cyanobacteria outbreak. Stick with frozen, thawed and pored through a fine mesh net and possibly Ocean Nutrition pellets.

Experimentally switched to this food as a sample packet was supplied in a five gallon container of their salt I recently purchased. I am producing less skimmate and my water is maintaining good clarity after a couple of weeks without a water change. They advertise less waste due to the product's digestability which seems to be the case.

I like Instant Ocean. I like cleaner tanks. I recommend this product!

This product works amazing on aptasias. It worked in a single attempt on all the small ones, though it did take about 3 times on a really large aptasia (~1.5" head). The syringe is angled and makes injecting them very easy. Had tried lemon juice in the past which barely worked.

I got this for a 10 gallon tank with a splitter (two male bettas), and I wanted a large plant to split the view so the bettas do not see each other easily. This plant looks great and is very large, (I had to tuck it in the back to keep it under water, since it wanted to go higher then my 10 gallon tank). It has a plastic bottom, and due to the size takes a little effort to bury it under the gravel, since the gravel does not want to stay in the plastic cup. However, once you get it in it looks really nice in the tank and the aquarium's lid light really looks good bouncing off of the leaves, making it a very nice bright blue coloring to the tank). I got this with two purple/blue plants to cut off view from the two sides of the betta tank. It works perfectly and the male betta loves swimming through the leaves and laying against it in the tank.

In the end this is large plant and looks nice in my tank, it helps cover the splitting wall for my 10 gallon betta tank, and the betta seems to love to swim through it and lay on the plant. It is a great addition to the tank and it seems to have received the approval of Tofu, my male betta (the other betta is named Sushi). :) Highly recommend!!

My theme in my guppy tank is blue and purple. This so far has stayed together, and looks very pretty.

Replacement Impeller for Koralia Nano and Koralia 1

Perfect replacement. The item was the one that the manufacturer suggested and this is one of the few places to get it. It works perfectly in my 13 gallon aquarium. Love my fish. Aerates and provides current.

The propeller works as expected, however the fan blades were slightly larger than the original. This caused a small plastic tab inside the housing to rub and lock up the fan. Removing the internal plastic tab fixed the issue.

My guppy tank runs hot due to the weather here in Hawaii. This thermometer was easy to set up and is very easy to read. Battery operated so I don't have to overload a circuit for just the occasional spot check of my water quality.

I bought these lights to accent my koi pond. They are easy to use, look great at night and draw very little power. I did have an issue with the transformer getting wet and shorting out, but Laguna was very helpful and sent a replacement set. My favorite part is the light sensorit is an incredible sight at dusk to see my waterfall lit up! They are pricey but well worth the extra dough.

They are supposed to be able to handle bring under water. These got water in them and quit working 3-4 weeks after purchase.

Sunken Ship Hull Ornament - 20 in. x 7.5 in. x 6 in.

The picture does not do this ornament justice. It is absolutely perfect. I have large fish and it's hard for me to find a decoration with holes large enough for them to explore inside. This sunken ship is the perfect accessory to my aquarium. Kids think it looks neat yet it is tasteful enough for adults. There are three huge holes in the bottom. Two on one side, one on the other. The bottom is left open so the gravel or sand can be viewed inside. It really looks like a sunken ship that has sat on the bottom for a while. I personally adore it. The holes are large and create an open feel, yet there's still enough shadows to make fish feel as though they are safe and hiding.

I have a few different aquariums. This is in my 50 gallon and looks great. It's not overly large but takes up a good chunk of space. I would say that it would nicely fit anywhere above a 20 gallon tank. It would be a bit overwhelming in a 15 gallon but could probably fit. But like I said, I would go for anything above a 20 gallon with this particular accessory.

The color is very natural and it really looks like wood. So many accessories with wood accents look like plastic. This one actually looks like wood. It's a detail I personally really appreciate. My fish love it. It looks great. I couldn't have asked for a better accessory. And it was packaged flawlessly.

This thing is HUGE! I have it in a 45 gallon tank and its the centerpiece. The fish love it, plenty of room to explore and hide.

Lee's Super Algae Scrubber w/Handle for Glass Tanks - Coarse

The more products I try from Lee's the more impressed I am with the quality and value. A long time hobbyist of 35 years it seems the battle against Algae is one that will rage on indefinatley. This scrubber is excellent, good and coarse spun nylon it makes removal as much of a breeze as possible, it's great for the sides and bottom using the edge is perfect for those hard to reach places.

A few of my tanks get indirect sunlight so for those it's a weekly effort and I'll be buying more of these so I have one for most of my tanks. Which BTW, is important especially if you keep a variety of different species in seperate aquariums. Cross contamination has long been linked to the dreaded toxic tank syndrome so best to have gear that's dedicated to one specific tank.

does the job of scrubbing algae nothing more nothing less. Algae doesn't stick to the pad unless your tank is dry if it's wet the algae just washes off the pad and back into the tank.

It is a decently priced cleaner, but the handle is on the shorter end. It does a good job in my glass tank. I still end up having my hands wet if I clean all the way to the bottom of the glass though. If the handle had a length adjustment of sorts that would have been perfect!

Danner 02519 Mag Drive Model 1.9 190 GPH Statuary Pond Pump with 10-Foot Cord

I purchased this as a replacement for one that failed after a short time. I was trying to replace with the same pump, but that was a mistake, because the new one has already failed too. Poor design!

The problem is with the little plastic shaft and its cog that engages a cog in the shaft sleeve of the impeller. There is play and *they do not fully mesh*, so after a month or two, the plastic sleeve just breaks from wear and the impeller stops spinning. I found that I could put the pieces together with a dose of superglue (making the whole assembly solid) and that got the broken pumps to work... for now, but there is no way I can recommend this pump. Be forewarned!

This went from super loud to broke in a matter of 3 days. This product blows harder than a humback whale coming to the surface after hours under the water.

I bought this pump 2 years ago. The impeller failed after one year the ridges on the shaft had worn down. I replaced it for about $12. After 10 months the replacement also failed. I bought another one, and it failed after 3 months. I glued the rotor blade to the impeller and it worked for a while. Now the motor has failed. Poor design. Not recommended.

By comparison, I had bought a larger Little Giant pump (1150 gph)for a larger pond, and it has been running without problems for more than 10 years!

I would not use these in a salt water setup as a matter of caution even though the supplier says it's safe for both fresh and salt water tanks. I doubt much copper would be leached, but with $100 or better per fish it would be rolling the dice, and they are pets as well. I use two in my 36 gallon fresh water with no issues and so far no sign of oxides or corrosion.

Yup, I said it, cloth diapers! My son has an extremely high amount of ammonia in his pee, and regular washing wasn't getting it all out of his cloth diapers. I found online as a suggestion to use this fish stuff, as it's safe, and so I bought some. I have used the Hagen/Fluval carbon products and not really impressed by it, I prefer a different brand when it comes to carbon & charcoal.

Very happy with the whole C4 filter. Don't seem to see any water chemistry change with these carbon filters versus the standard filter. Will be going back to the standard filters and water changes. DO follow directions and rinse this before putting into tank! I was in a hurry and was not thinking and put the filter in without rinsing it. Instant black cloud. Fortunately no ill effects. Seem to be last quite awhile.

These were a nice addition to the tank. They do not require a great deal of effort to place them especially if you have a small tank.

These little (emphasis on little) ornaments are great. They look just as advertised and are a nice addition to my tank. The only thing I was unhappy with is how small they are. They say 3.9 inches high, but they are more like 2.5. Maybe the very top edge of a frond sticks up 4 inches high, but I seriously doubt it.

When I set up my new tank, I had ridiculously high ammonia levels. Due to a bit of overstocking no doubt. I lost my biggest beautiful Denison Barb because of it. PondCare Wide Range PH Test Kit

That's one chemistry that makes you a better living. Liquid tests are always more precise than strips and, when it comes to pH, probes. However, I always found it a hassle to have to run two pH tests with standard API master kit, as they have separate reagents for low and high pH. This one gives great color scale from 5.0 to 9.0, only 5 drops, and has a very reasonable price. I haven't used my pH probe in months now.

Comes with a bottle of chemical,a capped glass test-tube and a wide range pH color card.

Pour 5 ml of water sample into the marked test-tube, add five drops of chemical, cap and mix, then compare it to the color chart.

The card has scales/colors of 5.0(orange/red), 6.0, 6.5, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0, 9.0(blue) easy to tell the pH difference unless you are colorblind.

I have added the acetic acid and sodium bicarbonate to water samples and observed the color changes, so I know this thing work. Also, I have tested it with water samples with known pH, the accuracy is pretty good.

The only downside is it doesn't come with an expiration date.

For an amateur aquarist like me, this is the startup kit.
