Mighty Jr. Bee Bug Dog Toy

To start, I will acknowledge that neither of my dogs are small, but I didn't worry about how they would do with this "mighty" toy, since they both have historically been very gentle with their toys. Neither has ever destroyed a plush toy, and they have quite a few that are neither large nor designed to be especially rugged. My Flat-Coated Retriever has a very soft mouth, and has zero history of killing his toys, with the notable exception of tennis balls, which he likes to peel the felt off of. Many of the toys from the Mighty line, including this bee, have a short-napped, felt-like coat, so I guess my dog decided that this bee was more like a tennis ball than a plush toy to be shown off and cared for. There was stuffing everywhere within a few short minutes, basically as soon as he sat down with the thing. Very disappointing. I know there are plenty of other dogs who share my dog's felt-fascination, including many who are otherwise very gentle. I guess the takeaway for me has been that this bee and maybe the Mighty line in general are not good choices for dogs that fall into this camp. In the future, I'll probably stay away from the entire line, since it apparently brings out the barbarian in a dog not known for being hard on his toys. In my experience, not very mighty.

My dog loves the bee and so far the wings are still attached! So it's a very tough toy if your dog loves to chew!

I love this filter for the 10 gallon aquarium as it fits in the corner nicely and doesn't take up a lot of room. It does a great job in keeping the water cleaner. The sponge can be removed for cleaning as well along with the rest of the filter. It works great for my Axolotl as it is a smooth surface and she can not get hurt if she bumps into it. This could be a nice trap if they had a functional QA system to inspect the product before it ships to the customer. OK, so I receive my first Mantis trap and the trap door spring is broken into pieces with no damage to the box, which means it left the factory that way. I returnd it and received my replacement trap by mail and noticed I cannot set the trap because the trap door was not trimmed properly and sticks open. I did not want to send another one back and have to wait again so I took a razor blade and trimmed the excess junk plastic off of the trap door and finnally got it to work. I placed it into the tank and noticed in just a few days that the trap door spring was already starting to rust. I had a few different pests to capture so, I had to leave it in the tank for 2 weeks. The only good news is it did catch crabs, fish, snails etc. By the end of the 2 weeks the spring was rusted very badly. They should have made the spring out of corosion resistant steel since it is desighed for a salt water tank instead of using very low quality cheap junk metal. Keep in mind it is also possible to contaminate your water with the rusted metal biproducts and chemicals leached into your tank from the quickly disintegrating metal spring. This could be especially toxic to a small nano reef tank. I took the trap out of the tank and thoroughly rinsed off the salt water and immediatly dried it off to try and mimumize corosion. I stored it for 2 months and when I took it out of the box to reuse it the junk metal spring had rusted so badly it had crumbled into pieces, rendering the trap useless! If you purchase this trap realize it is so poorly manufactured that it will only last you one use and into the trash it will go. Hopefully it will catch the pest before it falls apart and poisions you reef tank. I would not recommend this waste of money to anyone! Thanks for listening.

After two months of trying to catch the little booger with a home made bottle trap and a store loaned "tube" trap, I broke down and ordered this thing. I have my live rock zip tied together with corals on it, so I didn't want to break it apart. I had see the shrimp in the other two traps only once and he squirted out like it was nothing before I could even get to the string to haul his little butt out of there. With this trap, I caught him the second day I tried it (the first day I had not set the sensitivity low enough). After two months of trying, two days later I had him! Woohoo!

The nice features of this trap is that it is tinted which makes the little guy not so shy about going in, but you can still see into it to know if he is there or your bait s still in there. The pressure release is adjustable and simple to operate. The door snaps shut once he is inside and locks the little guy in. It also holds water so it doesn't drain when you pull it out. Unlike other reviewers, my trap came in without issues, even though it was just put in a padded envelope and tossed in the mail. So, I am THRILLED with this trap!

The bad news.... I'm still hearing snapping. :( Glad the trap is re-useable.

Had gotten some new live rock for my reef tank and guess what? Yep a mantis shrimp came along eating my critters, so I tried this and by golly it worked! I took a little piece of fish and put the trap in the tank and the varmint was in there. Just make sure you rinse the trap several time to get the salt of and it won't corrode. At least mine haven't.

They worked well when the air volume is great, and the size of the bubbles is insignificant, such as when circulation and aerating water in a 5 gallon bucket. In the tank, however, where lover volumes of air might be used, the size of the bubbles nearest the inlet are "larger than most air stones" and few bubbles emit from the end length of the stone. To make bubbles come out of the full length of the stone, air volume must be increased significantly. If you are looking for medium to fine size bubbles that come out evenly over the whole length of the stone, this not the one for you. This item only allows for large bubbles and uneven bubble distribution, and cannot produce small bubbles. Both of the 2 stones functioned identically and might not be the best choice for bubble aesthetics in the aquarium.

I been looking for a new filter for our approx 1000 gal pond, and past filters had just been a pain, as they would clog daily and cleaning them was a chore. I actually had one that the seam in the mold split. I was debating on another $70 cheaper filter, but after seeing some videos on each I decided this one was one for us. It was well worth it.

The filter out of the box seemed very solid, I was impressed by well it seemed to be made.

I hooked it up in minutes and had it working. However the UV was not working, I figured it just came lose during shipping so I un-screwed 3 screws and sure enough it did. The best thing is there is a clear peep hole at the top you just look at the top of the filter to see if its working, great idea. After reseating it I have not had an issue.

Now after about 5 days my pond has cleared up, and I am very impressed, the water flow from my 800Gal pump is great, the ease of use and cleaning I am glad I spent the extra money on this, as it was well worth it.

Update...The UV light for what ever reason burned out after about 3 to 4 weeks since I had it running, (good thing

they had this nice "peep" hole so you can see it. I contacted the vendor and with in a couple hours they already indicated they would get me another one. This vendor is outstanding, for thier support and product.

By the way, even though the light was out for a bit of time, this pond still remains clear and the best its look since I dug it quite a few years back. The filter is outstanding, the service is outstanding. This makes me and my life very happy :).

The castles are slightly yellower than they consistently appear in photos online. They are working pretty well, however.

The company's service was excellent when it came to the castles, which showed up quickly and I got what I ordered. I recommend the castles but must rate the company a C+.

However, I ordered a blue critter keeper from a lot of 10 or 20 blue critter keepers from the same company but on e-bay, and they sent me a bright orange critter keeper, and when I complained they asked them to send another blue critter keeper but the CR person checked it, and they had sent a different color. They said that despite advertising a lot of blue critter keepers they in fact had no blue ones. She refunded my money, but the only other thing she did to fix it was say they were changing the wording of their ads.

However, they do seem to have upgraded their customer service from the complaints I've gotten that products showed up late or not at all and they couldn't get a response. I did find customer service prompt and attentive.

Lee's Super Algae Scrubber w/Handle for Glass Tanks - Coarse

The more products I try from Lee's the more impressed I am with the quality and value. A long time hobbyist of 35 years it seems the battle against Algae is one that will rage on indefinatley. This scrubber is excellent, good and coarse spun nylon it makes removal as much of a breeze as possible, it's great for the sides and bottom using the edge is perfect for those hard to reach places.

A few of my tanks get indirect sunlight so for those it's a weekly effort and I'll be buying more of these so I have one for most of my tanks. Which BTW, is important especially if you keep a variety of different species in seperate aquariums. Cross contamination has long been linked to the dreaded toxic tank syndrome so best to have gear that's dedicated to one specific tank.

These fit my Therapure 201M Air Purifier. It installed in a couple minutes with just a Phillips screwdriver. What I like about this pump:

Not too loud. I currently have the pump running some sponge filters in my bedroom tanks. My wife and I haven't had any difficulties sleeping.

Solid Construction:

I took my pump apart and had a look at what was inside. The design is simple and made with solid components that are built to last. The casing is of durable and thick plastic. The diaphragm will unavoidably wear out but instead of throwing away the whole pump like you would with cheaper units you can buy a replacement diaphragm (that includes 1 or 2 air filters). I've had my pump for about two years and am confident that it will last many many more years to come (provided that I replace the diaphragm and air filter as needed).

Adjustable rheostat:

The rheostat adjusts the output of air by controlling the amount of electricity that powers the pump as opposed to using an inline valve on the air hose. The use of a rheostat conserves electrictiy and avoids putting unnecessary strain on the diaphragm and the premature failure that would result.

Versatility:

With 7.0 PSI I've been able to make a variety of different set ups that otherwise would have required at least 3 lesser pumps. Having one pump instead of several reduces a clutter of hoses.

Overall I'm very happy with this pump. I wish it wasn't so expensive. But then again, when you look at the long term, it's not too expensive.

This was so noisy, that after making a video of it compared to the Tetra Wisper 60, and the Rena 400, I returned it. It also didn't move as much air as the other two pumps. Which pump (much to my surprise) was the quietest? The inexpensive Tetra Whisper 60.

I have a 70 gallon tank with a 43" Marine Land bubble stick burried at the very buttom under about 1-1/2" of gravel/rock.

I've had many air pumps from whisper to tetra to well to make it short I'll never buy another, these have apparently been around for 30+ years and keep on pumping. I've been using the Accurel media pad in my Marina S20 filter for a couple of months. When cut to size, it easily slips into the filter's slots. It is stiff, which makes it very easy to slide into place. It also seems to have a tighter weave than other media pads, so it catches even the tiniest specs of debris. I slip it into the skinny intake slot so that the water has an initial filter before it hits the biomax and Purigen sections. In the far section of the filter, I use an Accurel Ammonia Reducing pad. The water in the fish tank remains perfectly clear and the fish remain healthy. Because of the stiffness and the density, I much prefer the Accurel white media to the standard blue and white style.

This stuff is great. I don't consider it a treatment as in only use when your fish is infected. I use this more as a preventive. Meaning I use this all of the time with my fish. Granted I usually keep Cichlid fish that are more hardy than most fish. I feed my fish lots of live food so keeping my fish free from parasites is a must. Coppersafe is pretty safe on fish that aren't sensitive or delicate. Yes if your water supply is heavy on copper you do need to watch out. The below user who rated this at 2 stars may live in an area where his local water supply is polluted with copper. I usually use 75% of the recommended dose as to keep from overdosing. Testing your water for copper is recommend wether or not your using Copper Safe. Bottom line is I've been doing this for years and my father before I used Copper Safe before my birth and this is some damed good stuff.

If used as directed, it does keep the nasties out of the fish tank. I have been using it for years, and it always helped. Read the instructions carefully before applying. It helps to estimate how much volume of the fish tank is taken up by gravel and ornaments, because if one does not consider that, it is easy to overdose. Adjust the quantity of CopperSafe, considering the volume that is NOT water.

I have been using copper safe for years because it's such a great value in my opinion. It lasts and works for 30 days, so you can add fish to the aquarium while the tank is being treated to ensure you are not bringing more problems into the tank. I also like it because it removes chlorine and the filters do not have to come out as long as the filters with carbon are older than 5 days. The larger size it the best value for me as I have many larger tanks and the special design in the bottle makes it easier to measure and keep track. Although it is blue in color, it does NOT change the color of the water in the tank. Copper safe gets rid of a lot of diseases for your fish especially the most common ICK or white spot disease. This product is effective but lacks a bunch of information. I used this product throughout a 2 week ich battle. This medicine is very effective, combined with salt, heat treatment and 25% water changes. The white spots on my tetras were disappearing every 2-3 days until the 2nd week it was all gone.

This product claims not to affect your biological filter or alter your water levels. When using this, my water levels never changed and my tank remained perfectly cycled. It only raised my pH a little bit. It is still a good idea to test and monitor your water during treatment.

Copper is a STRONG medication, be very careful not to overdose. Before starting your treatment it is best to get some paper and record the start of your treatment and how much you have been dosing your aquarium.

You will want to do a 25% water change before the treatment. Once accomplished, Use half the recommended dose of copper and monitor your fish for atleast an hour before adding more. If they start showing signs of stress, immediately do a water change but if they are acting normal use the full recommended dose. It is important to use the full dosage if possible to maximize the strength of the medication for killing ich parasites which will be a pain to get rid of the longer they stay alive.

Once you notice a couple white spots disappearing, it's very important to do a 25% water change to remove the ich in its free swimming stage. Don't forget to replace the copper medicine each water change.

To maximize effectiveness, you should turn up the heat slowly 1-2 degrees every hour until you reach a temperature of 85-88 degrees. If your fish are gasping for air the temp is too high. Add 1 Tablespoon of aquarium salt per 10 gallons of water will also help your fish relax and breath properly during treatment.

Warning: Do not use salt if your fish are scaleless. That goes for catfish, loaches etc. (Do research on your fish)

Hinged Rectangle Aquarium Canopy in Glass

I ordered this canopy because i had mesured my 40 gallon and knew that i needed a 36" wide top. The canopy I received is 35 1/4 ", and if i had let go it would have fallen right into my tank. There arent dimensions on the box but it does say this: FITS 30, 34H & 45H GAL. TANKS. If this had been included in the products description I might not have ordered it since my tank is a 40 gal. Seller should correct the dimensions in the description. The depth is wrong too. With the plastic thing attached to the glass it is only 11.5", not 13" as advertised. Furthermore the handle they inclcuded is all scratched up. I will be returning this :(

my guinea pig's favorite things to chew are the simple brown paper bags or cardboard tubes and boxes. you can buy this as something cute for the cage but if your guinea pig tends not to have interest in the things you actually purchase just don't bother. he's had it for a couple months and i still get super stoked when i happen to see him chewing on it. it's rare. it's essentially very difficult to find a manufactured product that guinea pigs like more than those simple things.

The toy is a nice size but my Chinchilla ate the hanging part off within minutes so it just sat on a shelf while she consumed the rest of it.
