Oceanic Systems Inc. Oc Biocube Replace Fan Biocube Replacement Fan For 8 & 14 Gal Filter Cartridges

Oceanic Systems Inc. Oc Biocube Replace Fan Biocube Replacement Fan For 8 & 14 Gal Filter CartridgesThe image to promote the fans leads you to believe that you will be getting Oceanic OEM fans. The reality is that you get fans that are thinner than original, with ball bearings that are noisier than the original. If one of your fans is going and you need something to replace them in a pinch, these will do, but if you're able to source either OEM or open market sleeve bearing (quieter) replacements, skip these. Also, the original ones draw .08A, these indicate a draw of .15A.

The fan was not the right size for the 8 gallon biocube. The fan was to thin so it rattles while it is on.

Como Blue Large Aquarium Filter Sponge for Fish Tank

Como Blue Large Aquarium Filter Sponge for Fish TankPurchased this item and it was delivered just fine. When I went to put this in the tank I noticed that there was a lot of blue sediment coming from this filter pad. I soaked it for a while and squeezed it thinking after a while the sediment would wash out, but it didn't. I also put the whole pad in the washing machine on the rinse cycle and still there was a lot of sediment coming from this filter. So much that if you poured the water in a white bowl you could see that the water was blue.

I bought this filter to clean the water, not to add stuff to it.

Hydor 25W Submersible Aquarium Heater - Original Theo

Hydor 25W Submersible Aquarium Heater - Original TheoI was only hesitant to purchase this because I needed to use it for a ten gallon tank (It's designed for a 7gal) and this was the most affordable option. I urge you to not be anxious yourself, however, as this heater is splendid. It looks reasonably nice and will heat your water (even in a ten-gallon tank); what more can I say? If you need an aquarium heater and have a 10gal, don't sweat it. Just buy it.

Also, it's worth mentioning that the heater doesn't look exactly like the one in the main picture. It's shorter and fatter (proportionately at least...) than pictured. This isn't a bad thing. Just don't freak out, because you ARE getting what you ordered.

This is a nice choice for a tank that holds up to 7 gallons. It's totally submersible, ACCURATE, has a very effective thermostat, and is fairly unobtrusive. One feature I like is that its light glows while the water is heating and shuts off once the correct temperature has been reached. It's a good fit for a tank such as the Eclipse 3, especially if you want to house a betta (it also works well in an Eclipse 6); the Theo allows me to acclimate new fish at 86º for a week or so to rid them of any ich they might be harboring, after which it's easy to gradually reduce the temperature to my (and their) preferred 82º.

I also use Marineland Stealths, which I like because they're plastic but frankly, it bears mentioning that Marineland's "lifetime guarantee" carries an Orwellian caveat, i.e., some Stealths are more guaranteed than others. Rather than providing mail-in product registration to activate the warranty, you're expected to hang on to your receipt...well...for a lifetime (yeah, right). In addition, if they don't like the vendor, e.g., you bought it brand new and sealed but from an eBay or Amazon seller, you can kiss your hopes of replacement for a defective unit goodbye (they claim this is due to widespread fraud and people trying to obtain replacements for units found in the trash, but why were so many units trashed if they work forever, and who are these dementos who make a career of scavenging for them? Liver-lipped Finnish Ugly Boy trolls?). Marineland (actually, Aquarium Systems; they manufacture the item in Italy), after much coaxing, replaced a brand-new dead unit for me, but it's only carrying a 90-day warranty; this is because I bought it on eBay and I received an e-slap to the effect that NONE of my other Internet purchases would be covered. On this basis, my suggestion is to boycott Stealths (unless you want to pay list at a pet store) and go with a Theo. They're also manufactured in Italy, they do a great job, and I suspect they're nicer about warranty issues.

Buy Hydor 25W Submersible Aquarium Heater - Original Theo Now

I bought a Marineland 10W heaters for my 2.5 gallon tank, but found that it overheated the water way too much. That heater may have a sensor that tells it when the water temp is too cold, but it does not shut off when the water temp skyrockets above 78 degrees Fahrenheit.

This heater, on the other hand, while larger and more obtrusive, does a much better job in regulating water temperature. I never have to worry about finding my tank temps in the high 80s the way I did with the other heater. Also, the fact that it has a regulator dial is a huge plus. While the dial calibration may be off by a degree or two, it does work. You turn it up, the water temp goes up (but not too high). Also, the little indicator light is a nice way of checking that the heater is on and working.

Even for small tanks, I would skip the unregulated 7.5W and 10W heaters and go with this one.

I have owned two Hydor Theo 25W heaters. The first I used in a 2.5gal aquarium with betta for 5 months, and it worked great. I got rid of the 2.5 gal tank for a 5.5gal tank, and the heater worked for only a few more months. At first, the temperature was 2 degrees higher then what I set it to. Soon, it was 4 degrees higher. Finally, it consistently kept it at over 8 degrees higher, and at this point the LED/heater never shut off. Soon it stopped heating altogether. I bought a second one which malfunctioned within three months of use in the 5.5 gal tank. My betta got developed severe fin rot from the inconsistent temperature.

Want Hydor 25W Submersible Aquarium Heater - Original Theo Discount?

I purchased this for an Eclipse Hex 5 tank and it works perfectly. Heater is very accurate I have it set at 78 degrees, and my thermometer verifies that the water is actually 78 degrees. There is an orange light inside the glass tube near the top that glows to let you know the heater is on, and when the water reaches the set temperature the light turns off to indicate that the heater is off. The heater is very high quality and feels very durable. The package also includes two suction cup mounts.

Like a previous commenter noted, the actual heater is shorter / stubbier than the one pictured. It worked out great for me since the Hex 5 tank isn't that tall.

Underwater Galleries AUG6551 2-Pack Cichlid StoneI have been looking for cave for my Betta fish, but I was not able to find any that looked desirable to me. Then I stumbled upon these stones from Underwater Galleries. I decided on the two stone pack, and these stones look great in my tank.

I uploaded several photos to help you see the size of the openings and the stones.

These come packaged really well. They are PERFECT for betta fish as there are no sharp edges. When I upgrade my tank to a 20G I will order a few more sets and stack them. Perfect aquarium addition.

Herbtana Saltwater Formula

Herbtana Saltwater Formula Size: 16 oz.I purchased two 16oz bottles of Microbe-Lift Herbtana to treat my 200 gallon saltwater tank. There were several fish with mild white spots(ich). I added 50ml of Herbtana to my tank every night for 10 nights(one bottle) with no sign of the fish getting better, in fact there were more white spots on the fish, especially a longnose butterfly. I continued with the second bottle for another 10 nights, still no improvement. About a week later the longnose butterfly died. This product in my opinion does not work and was a waste of money and a very nice fish. I still have the white spots on a few other fish and need to find another remedy.

February 1,2011

Please use this before you use ANYTHING else that may harm your corals or invertebrates, or further stress your fish. It is simple, effective, and not too pricey considering your other options. Takes a tad bit longer to start working, but it DOES work, and will save your tank from devastation!

Buy Herbtana Saltwater Formula Now

The Herbtana product does work. I think it is important to ensure that you turn off your protein skimmer and remove the carbon during entire treatment. Do not remove the biological filter as this holds the good bacteria that protect your fish. I also recommend using this with Microbelift Special Blend.

Not sure why the other reviewer had such a poor experience, but I've used this product for a year now with great success. I alternate it with Artemiss for 2 days (per product instructions) when I introduce new fish into QT in order to support immune system function. I've also had great success treating sick fish with both products both in QT and in my reef.

Eheim 2075 Pro 3 Canister Filter - Up to 160 gal.

Eheim 2075 Pro 3 Canister Filter - Up to 160 gal.I've owned an Eheim 2217 for many years and it has operated flawlessly. I recently set up a new 110 gallon community tank and decided to spring on the latest Eheim model the 2075. It's only been running 2 months so perhaps my impression on this will improve, but so far it's been underwhelming.

As others have mentioned, the priming button doesn't really work. YOu have to press the buttom 20+ times...just when you're about to give up and try to do it the hard way then it springs to life.

Second, even after a 50% water change, my water is still cloudy. It doesn't seem to help...although I'm hoping this gets settled once the tank has been running a few more months.

If I can do this again, I would get the Eheim Pro II 2028, which has gotten MUCh better reviews.

** Edited 10/25/10 **

The cloudiness has settled and the tank is pristine. However, the priming button still doesn't work. I think I've isolated the cause the floating valve gets stuck in the cavity which prevents a suction from forming initially. I don't know what'll happen if I remove the float valve...maybe I'll try it next time.

Just like some of the other reviewers I have had considerable problems with leaks. The first time was after eight months of use. Eheim replaced the unit and now here I am a year later with another flood.

Buy Eheim 2075 Pro 3 Canister Filter - Up to 160 gal. Now

I have 3 big fancy goldfish in a 55g tank, which needs a lot of filtration because these fish produce a lot of waste. I was a first time buyer of an external canister filter and a first-time purchaser of an Eheim product. I had heard that older Eheim models were very reliable, but I ended up buying the Eheim Pro 3 2075 from Marine Depot because this model had a newer, sleeker design, and sounded easy to clean. I chose Eheim over other models because of Eheim's reputation. I bought the Eheim in April 2010. Several days ago, that is, a year and two months later, the filter is leaking water somewhere close to the electric cord, a complaint that other reviewers of this product have reported on Amazon and on numerous other forums. Upon finding this leak, I cleaned the filter, thoroughly checked for any cracks, plugged it back in, and it seemed to work fine. Fours hours later, I found a puddle of water by the filter yet again. I frantically shut off the filter, Googled "Eheim Pro 3 leaks" (try it yourself) and found that other people also experienced the exact same problem with this filter in the exact same spot. People also seemed to notice these leaks after one year of owning this filter, which is also my case. The Eheim Pro 3 series clearly has defects that the manufacturer needs to correct. Do not purchase filters from the Eheim Pro 3 line! When I installed this filter upon first receiving it, the filter worked beautifully and I was ecstatic with the results. Within the one year of owning it, I was able to change the filter media only 4 times with incredible ease. However, I think you only begin to see these leaks after the machine has been running for awhile. I'm disappointed with this product because I paid over $200 for the filter. But I guess as a first-time user of external canister filters, the lesson that I have learned is to not purchase an Eheim product ever again. I do not favor Eheims over other models because I lack experience in this hobby, but I do know from experience that this particular filter has failed me miserably.

Read Best Reviews of Eheim 2075 Pro 3 Canister Filter - Up to 160 gal. Here

This canister filter was purchased for a 90 gallon African Cichlid tank. I've owned my unit for approximately 2 weeks and purchased my filter for $250.00 I utilized cichlid sand that was not rinsed under manufacturer recommendation and absolutely clouded the water something terrible. The filter was able to make a significant difference in just 24 hours and absolutely cleared the water within 48-72 hours. I knew of the Eheim name and reputation and risked its purchase although I could not find many reviews on this particular model (2075). There were plenty available for the model 2080. Now, let's cut to the chase.

The Good:

1) Incredibly QUIET!!! There is absolutely no hum whatsoever during its operation. You know it's working because you will see the wave of surface agitation from the powerhead.

2) Very efficient as witnessed by me personally in clearing my milky water in just 48 hrs.

3) Relatively simple assembly and installation.

4) Simply hose disconnect feature to allow for cleaning the canister.

5) My model was a complete kit including all filters and substrate all inclusive.

The Bad:

1) The priming feature did not work well and exhausted me in the process. It took quite a while before it decided to work. I pumped the primer over and over and over and..........get the point? It did nothing. Eventually it started after one final attempt.

2) The substrate is very expensive.

3) No tilt and roll wheels on this model to assist with removing from your tank stand.

4) Input and output hoses were a bit difficult to seat on quick disconnect valve on motor head.

Truly, nearly a perfect filter for my 90 gallon aquarium. I would purchase this or any other Eheim product based on my experience with this filter. It deserves a 4.5 rating (because of the primer) but was not available.

We purchased this the 2075 and with in 15 months it broke. It started leaking from the top. It was fantastic to come home from work to find 1/2 of a 130 gallon tank on the floor and a real scared fish. I contacted ehiem, after several emails they said it was a broken primer seal. Its suppose to have a 3 year warrenty... They would not send me one nor tell me where I could get one..... Save your money and go with another manufacture.

I got it for $11 but the price is now $20+ and that's just too much.

I have it in my 55 g tank and its a good fillin decor for my loaches, but it's a tad small. I'd think it would look great as a main decor in a 10 or 20 g tank.

DT ONE & ONLY FW 8OZ

DT ONE & ONLY FW 8OZI purchased a 2 ounce bottle for new new 29 gallon aquarium in order to shorten my fishless cycle. I added 2 ppm ammonia, and the One and Only to my tank. After three weeks, Nitrites had still not cleared. I tested daily, and kept my water parameters in line with the instructions every step of the way including temperature, PH, keeping both ammonia and nitrites under 5ppm so as to not stall the cycle, and the product did not speed up the fishless cycle. I contacted Dr. Tim, and below is an exact transcript from tha interaction:

Customer 5/20/2012 8:55:40 AM Hello,

I have recently set up a new 29 gallon tank, and ordered a 2 oz bottle of One and Only with which to do a fishless cycle. I received the One and Only on May 1, and began the fishless cycle that day by adding the One and Only and 2ppm ammonia to the tank. As of today, 5/20, the tank is still not processing Nitrites. I have kept the water at a constant 84 degrees, and the PH at a constant 8.0.

I have posted requesting help on Cichlid-Forum in your forum there and have not received any response.

It appears that I am now on a regular fishless cycle, and that the One and Only has not helped speed the cycle in any way. The tank is now processing ammonia (as would be expected in a normal fishless cycle), the Nitrites never reached above 4 ppm because I have also been doing small water changes. There is nothing in the parameters of the water that would cause this slow down, other than the One and Only has not worked.

Therefore, I am requesting a refund of my purchase, plus shipping. The total I paid was $21.88, and my order number was 3d-120562.

Thank you, in advance, for your help.

Sincerely,

Robert Lewis

Staff (Administrator) 5/20/2012 1:20:24 PM

Dear Mr Lewis

Sorry to have not responded in the cichlid forum but we never received a notice that anyone has posted in the forum so did not know there was message. I have contacted the forum people to find out what the problem is.

As for the tank and processing a refund I am sorry but I cannot grant that request. There is no data to suggest that the process not working (according to you) is due to the product you control the process but adding ammonia (or not) and measuring nitrite is only one way to tell if the process is working or nor working.

Did you add more ammonia, did you measure nitrate etc etc. How did you set-up the tank etc etc.

Because of the high number of variables involved and the fact that every aquarium and aquarist is different we do not promise that the tank will cycle in xx number of days because again that is subjective. Our products work and we try hard to make everyone happy but we cannot be responsible for every case and situation.

Sincerely

DrTim

Customer 5/20/2012 1:39:12 PM

Hello,

I'm happy to provide any data you wish so that you are comfortable that this is not due to 'other variables'. It's not my first time setting up a tank. In fact, it's not even my first time setting up a tank with your product. I also take issue with the fact that you say that you don't say the tank will be cycled in xx number of days. The entire point of One and Only is to cycle a tank faster than it would have cycled on its own, so some timeframe in inherent in the purpose of the product. Additionally, in your literature explaining how to do a fishless cycle, you mention that most tanks will cycle 'within a week'.

I have added additional ammonia on three occasions. I have tested for both ammonia and Nitrite each day. I have done small water changes when it appeared Nitrite was nearing 4 ppm. I have maintained a PH of 8.0, I have maintained a temp of 84 degrees, I am using sponge filtration. The only things in the tank are rocks and crushed coral substrate.

I have used the clear ammonia available at Ace Hardware something that MANY people on Cichlid-Forum have also used. I tested to ensure that ammonia never went above 2ppm after adding to the tank.

I would be happy to go over any other variables you mention. I am asking for a refund because the cycle is likely to complete in the next several days to a week anyway without One and Only having sped the process at all.

Please let me know what information you would like, and I hope you will consider a refund, if for nothing else than to keep a customer that has bought from you in the past, and will likely buy from you in the future, and is active in a community that comprises a good portion of your core market.

Sincerely,

Robert Lewis

Customer 5/20/2012 1:41:06 PM

Additionally, I have not tested for Nitrate because I have been advised that testing for Nitrate when there are Nitrites in the water will likely give a false reading.

Customer 5/23/2012 11:10:39 AM

Hello?

Staff (Administrator) 5/23/2012 2:49:37 PM

Hello:

We have considered your request and we cannot comply. You choose to use the Ace Ammonia based on other's advice and not our ammonia. You controlled the amount of ammonia being added which will determine the amount of nitrite. And as you note we say "most" not every aquarium.

The fact is you have placed two orders with us and complained each time. We helped the first time by replacing the product which was surely not defective. For the second order you controlled the cycling time and you did not follow the directions.

Sincerely

DrTim

Customer 5/23/2012 3:10:06 PM

I truly do not understand your stance here. I followed the directions to the letter. How can you say I didn't follow the directions? I have offered to provide you with any additional data you wish. Instead of asking for this data, you chose to attack my methods without all of the information. Was I not to control the amount of ammonia I add to the tank? Of course I should, your statement in that regard doesn't even make sense! I dosed to 2ppm initially, waited for ammonia to clear, began measuring Nitrite daily, added additional ammonia to 1ppm two additional times over two weeks. I did small water changes if Nitrite approached 4ppm so as not to stall the cycle. I maintained proper temperature. I maintained proper PH. I used the appropriate amount of One and Only. Please explain to me how I did not follow directions? Please explain to me the error in my methodology? How you can even say that without appropriate data is beyond me.

Is your issue that I did not use your Ammonia Chloride, and used Ace instead? This product has been shown to be reliable by many others that have used it for fishless cycling, including those that have used One and Only.

Then you make a remark regarding our first transaction stating that your product was surely not defective in the first instance either!?

So, at the end of that first paragraph, are you saying that your product only works 'most' of the time? That's a tidbit I'm sure the community would certainly be interested in knowing so they can evaluate their purchase decisions with more information.

If you are unwilling to consider my request, then unfortunately, you've lost a customer. I'll also make every effort to evangelize this to as many people as I can. Regrettable, and avoidable.

Sincerely,

Robert Lewis

Staff (Administrator) 5/24/2012 7:05:25 AM

Here is the problem you think that because you did not get the results you expected that the product did not work.

But you have read many many accounts where it performed fine. So how did you get the one (or if you count both orders the two) that did 'not' work. Your whole thinking is that the product is defective not that maybe something you do or have done is the problem.

That is wrong. The product works fine the situation is that once the product gets into the user's hands the user can do many things that may reduce the effectiveness of the product things we cannot control. That is why we say 'most cases' because in most cases it will work despite what the user may or may not do. Please do not mis-state what we mean.

You choose to think that it should work no matter what you do and this is wrong.

So when you talk about the product just be sure to write the truth you did not follow the directions exactly and did not do everything perfectly.

Customer 5/24/2012 7:14:48 AM

And again, I ask you, what did I do wrong? And, how do you somehow feel I did not follow directions? I did follow the directions. I did keep the water parameters exactly as you state in your directions. I have given you details of what I did within this thread, can you pleae tell me what I did that is not according to your directions? I have offered to give you whatever data you wish on several occasions now, and instead of asking for it, you just make blanket judgements about my methodology rather than even acknowledge the possibility that perhaps your product did not perform as designed. I even suggested that perhaps your guidance on how much of your product to use for each tank size may need some adjustment, and you can't even bring yourself to consider that. I'm trying to be reasonable, and provide any information you request, you are just playing the blame game blame the customer for any problems that arise.

Staff (Administrator) 5/24/2012 7:23:04 AM

This conversation has become pointless I wish the best with your aquariums.

Good day

I was propelled into the world of aquariums when my daughter was handed a large jar full of fancy guppies by her grandfather. So, on a Sunday night my family found ourselves at the only pet store open, with my credit card in hand. That night we provided our "free" guppies with a perfect 10 gallon world, filled with live plants, rocks, LED lights and a filters that could handle twice the tank size everything a guppy could want. I thought things were going well until few days later the guppies started to die.

I returned to the store and told my story of woe to the helpful staff. They in turned explained cycling to me and I learn that while my tank look like an ideal home for guppies, the water itself was toxic. Beyond that quick lesson they could offer no help, but as I left the store with a water test kit in hand a young British man overhearing my store told me to look up "Dr Tim One and Only".

It didn't take long to learn that the aquarium world was split on Dr Tim's products. I had my doubts that this miracle of biology could work. However, with nothing to lose, and not wanting to explain to my daughter that her beloved fancy guppies were going to die I placed my order for Dr Tim's One and Only, and paid extra for the overnight shipping.

Not only did "Dr Tim's One and Only" work, but it has allowed for the setup of a second tank for the female guppies, without waiting for the traditional 30-day tank to cycling. We literally dumped eight (8) female guppies and a pair of Cory Cats into the new tank, within minutes of filling the new tank with water. Both tanks are now filled with thriving guppies. We set-up a tank for fries using water pulled from the female tank.

The first couple weeks I tested the water daily and could tell that the bacteria was becoming established, with in a few days the bio-filter was in place and doing its job. After a month of daily testing I reduced my water testing to once a week. If I detect an increase in any of the levels I add a one cap full (half a dose) to the tank, and my readings drop back to zero (0) again. Our tanks are healthy and stable; I have plans on moving up to 30 gallon tanks for the guppies and Dr. Tim's will be are part of that upgrade.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr Tim's One and Only to anyone with a tank full of fish that can't or won't wait for the normal 30 day traditional cycle method. There simply no reason to wait before enjoying a tank full of happy fish.

I read the one star review of Dr Tim's One and Only, and can say I had zero problems with the product. One and only worked PERFECTLY -my Ammonia, Nitrate and Nitrite levels hold steady zeros or near zero. I can only suggest everyone should read and follow the instructions. Dr. Tim's web page had provided great insight into tank management.

Side note: I use the dropper test from API as I feel its results are more accurate than the stick method, even if it take more effort.

Sicce CO2 Life 2 CO2 Injection System, 75gal

Sicce CO2 Life 2 CO2 Injection System, 75galI purchased in hope it would bring lots of CO2 to my 75 gal, heavyily planted tank. It has a small impellor on the bottom and a 'carbon stick' on the inside that is replacable after several months.

Well I installed it and ran it 2 weeks. I saw NO evidence of any CO2 production coming from the unit, no bubbles or anything and NO improvement in the plants. I sent it back to AMazon.

I went full tilt and bought a 20lb filled tank of CO2 locally ($120.00, and the rest of the system from: Freshwateraquariumplants.com. For $199.00, it icludes C02 Tubing, Red Sea Reactor 500, and a great needle valve/regulator.

After two weeks now, my algea problem is gone, and I'm trimming my plants back!!!

I have attached it to the timer to produce CO2 during the day when the lights are on. I have seen the CO2 increase from almost 5ppm to 30ppm (with medium setting) in 2 weeks. I am not sure how long the cartridge will last though, I am told it will last for 3 months.

using a pressurized CO2 tank is more cost effective over the long run and lends itself better to fine-tuning. But for someone who doesn't want the trouble of a more complicated set-up, this item is a terrific solution as it involves nothing more than sticking it in the tank and plugging it in.

API Proper PH 7.0, 250gm

API Proper PH 7.0, 250gmI found this product to be very helpful in maintaining my aquarium at7.0. Don't expect this to be a miracle cure that keeps your tank perfectly at7.0 forever. This is meant to be something that helps you to avoid sudden shifts in pH, maintain a relatively stable pH between tank changes, or helps to bring your pH back to 7.0 when something altered it.

There really is no true way to keep an aquarium exactly at 7.0, and if the pH is changing rapidly that would be an indicator that there is something wrong with the overall water quality of the aquarium. Simply forcing the pH to remain at 7.0 doesn't mean water changes can be skipped or that overfeeding won't harm the water quality; all it really means is that the pH is within the ideal range of 7.0. I do bi-weekly water changes in my 40 gallon tank, and between changes I use this to maintain the pH at or around 7.0. My pH will drop to about 6.7 and this brings it back to 7.0, and then by the next water change it will be about 6.7 again until I change the water. This isn't meant to keep your tank at 7.0 forever, but it works great to help maintain a healthy aquarium.

If you find that this doesn't dissolve in the aquarium or it leaves the water cloudy you can dissolve it in water before putting it in the tank. I don't mind the cloudiness because when used in the recommended amounts it only stays cloudy for about 15-20 min as it dissipates into the water. I really don't see any reason why this would harm your filtration media when used properly. If anything the particles would get stopped in the filtration media which reduces the cloudiness as it continues to dissipate.

My husband told me to purchase the product for his fish tank because the PH level wasn't at the right level. Ever since he used it, He stopped complaining about the PH level. I guess it worked. :)

I use this in my cichlid tank. My local fish store closed so I had to find an online supplier, this item was packed nicely and arrived very quickly. If you are using this for the first time please read the instructions. You may have to add more then one application to bring your PH to 7, and you'll want to do it properly.

Added this to my tank to try a different product to help maintain my tank at 7.0 but all it did was make my tank cloudy for the better part of a week. If you're looking for a product I've used before and love, Neutral Regulator works amazing.

Lee's Kritter Keeper, Large Rectangle with Lid, Colors may Vary

Lee's Kritter Keeper, Large Rectangle with Lid, Colors may VaryPro...the price for three gallon size is great

Pro...It's made in the USA

But...

Con...It's made of very thin plastic and cracks easily so I would not get this to hold fish. I barely bumped the Kritter Keeper and it put a crack at the bottom which means you have to be VERY CAREFUL when you clean this thing out in the sink to not bump it.

So I would not recommend this to hold betta fish or any fish at all since it cracked so easily.

The dimensions for this keeper are actually smaller than what they say. Instead of being 14.5" it's only 12, which makes a big difference. I had a much smaller keeper before, so the new room makes all the difference. All in all, I wish it was bigger, but I'm happy with what I have.

edit: My mouse has started eating through the cover! Within 20 minutes she almost got through the entire thing. I put some duck tape on the hole and it seems to be holding up well. Just thought I'd warn you!

These are essentially the same thing as the plastic terrariums sold in your local pet store for about the same price.

The plastic is very clear and you can see everything inside. The ventilated lids allow for great air circulation and will prevent humidity build up inside.

When I first got these I was concerned that the ventilated plastic lids would break easily, but after using them for several months I have found them to be surprisingly durable.

I ordered several of these, and what is great about them compared to glass tanks is that this plastic variety are stackable. When not in use I can stack a whole heap of these things together and save a lot of storage space, something I can not do with the glass versions.

My only complaint is that the connection where the lids snap on is very tight, and it causes a loud snapping noise and a bit of vibration when you take them off. This may or may not disturb the creatures you have inside, in my case it did. This is a minor complaint though, these are an incredible value.

This tank holds around 3.8 gallons, making it great for a betta or hospital tank. However it arrived with a cracked bottom corner, so it will not hold water. I'm not sure whether or not it was damaged during shipping or not, but either way I am not spending the money to send it back.

I bought two of these for my bettas, since I breed them. Currently I have 3 Males, and 6 Females.

Anyways the shipping took a little longer than I would have liked but it wasn't bad. They got here and I was happy with what I bought. Then I noticed that one of them has a large crack in the bottom. So I will need to call the company and get an exchange.

I think these will work fine for what I need them for, but actual glass tanks will be better in the future.

I'll update later....

Tetracolor Tropical Flakes Fish Food

Tetra Color Flakes, 2.20 OuncesNot sure if I should post this here, as there is no problem with the food itself--my fish love it. However, the title states that it is a 2.75 oz container, but what arrived (and what is actually shown in the product image) is a 2.2 oz container. I did not return it (not worth the hassle), but hopefully they will fix this. The last bottle I bought (from Walmart, not here) had a "Bonus 25% more" so it actually WAS 2.75 oz. I think what happened is the company stopped doing that, but they have not adjusted the title here.

my fish love to eat it. i love to feed it to them. they don't seem so picky, but I always buy them this same product and they've always been quite happy with receiving it.

tropical fish, freshwater... tetras and mollies and the like.

I've got a cichlid tank and they gobble it right up after they get used to it. After using just this for a couple years as the main course I've not had any illnesses, the fish are all active and have beautiful colors. Team this food up with the occasional freeze dried treat or whatever else your fish might like and you'll be set.

Having several ponds with colorful goldfish, I need a reliable product that the fish will eat, and won't become a pond filter clog. My goldfish love this product, and snap it up quickly, looking for more. The flakes themselves are colorful, and I do believe the fishes' colors have brightened after being on a diet of these flakes. Even towards the bottom of the can, there are still large flakes that have not turned to powder like some other brands. Love the fact that I ordered them Monday and they arrived Wednesday. Am a repeat customer for this product.
