Lee's Triple-Flow Corner Filter, Small

Lee's Triple-Flow Corner Filter, SmallI prefer this kind of filter, over the ones you have to buy the pads for. These dont require replacing charcoal every changing and also all you need to buy is a bag of cotton floss and a box of charcoal. Sometimes they tend to float, but I put some aquarium marbles in the bottom with the charcoal...problem solved. They both last a long time and together may cost about 10.00. When purchasing the filter pads they cost way over that amount and dont last nearly as long before having to buy more. More economical if you want to save money by buying these corner filters, floss, and charcoal...total maybe 15.00 (at least thats what I paid). Compared to buying a more popular filter that uses the replacement pads. The filtering system alone would cost that much if not more and then you still have to buy the filter pads, which are expensive. Your choice...but I prefer the economical way. They do a fabulous job in keeping the tank clean too.

I had not seen one of these for many, many years... but I thought it would be useful as an emergency filter for a small tank. I actually had a 10-gallon fry tank that suddenly cycled a few weeks later, so I added this to a spare airpump with a mesh bag of "nitrate sponge" and some nylon fiber and a filter pad... It helped stabilize the tank and save the fry. If you are someone who prepares for an emergency with your smaller fish tanks, this might be a useful purchase...

I really like this filter. It is easy to use. You can design and change the filter media as you choose. The nicest thing about the filter is that you can use standard filter media (poly-fiber, carbon, etc) and not have to purchase pre-manufactured filter pads/cartridges that most companies make you buy for their filters. I do think that the filter could be made with a more durable plastic. The plastic is very flimsy and thin. If you do not plan on handling the product much it might last for a while, but I seriously doubt it. Mine is already cracked and I just put it into my tank. The shipping costs more than the filter, so I recommend buying multiple filters at one time. I am sure that you will be replacing it regularly.

I have 2 of these filters for a 29 gallon and they keep the water clear. I used Seachem Denitrate as well as filter floss and I have had no problems with water quality. The plastic seems a bit flimsy, as mentioned in the other reviews, but with a little care I have managed to avoid any cracks or damage.

Laguna Collapsible Pond Net with Telescopic Handle - Coarse Mesh

Laguna Collapsible Pond Net with Telescopic Handle - Coarse MeshI used this net to clean scum from a 20x20 foot drainage pond. The first thing I noticed was that if you extend the handle it bends and would easily break. So I shortened the handle all the way, and was very careful not to put too much pressure on it. After about 30 minutes of skimming algae from the pond, I noticed a 2x2 inch hole in the net. Apparently a stick or some sharp object had punctured it. Now I have to buy something else more durable.

Broke first time the net was used to catch fish in a small pond. Good idea as a collapsible net but therein lies it weak points. It is now permanently collapsed

Buy Laguna Collapsible Pond Net with Telescopic Handle - Coarse Mesh Now

The Pond Net with Telescopic Handle is awesome! It holds a large amount of leaves, twigs, and other things that fall into the pond. It did not break when I scooped up a VERY heavy load of wet leaves. It was definitely the best investment I have made for my pond.

Handle is shorter than I thought. If you are trying to gather leaves out from the middle of a pond or pool by standing by the curb,it is not the right one.

Jardin Aquarium Fish Tank Biochemical Sponge Filter Air Pump

Jardin Aquarium Fish Tank Biochemical Sponge Filter Air PumpI use these as my only filtration in a 20 gallon tank housing a number of young apistos. I also use it as suplimental filtration (to a Fluval 306) in my 55 gallon although I believe if you had a couple of them in a planted 55 you could do without the canister filter altogether.

i got a few of these works just the way its suposta was a bit smaller then i was thinking but im very happy with it

hook an bubbler up to it and it flows quite well.

I have this and a small hang on the back filter in my fry tank (hang on the back gets turned off when fry are present) and this filters as much or more than the power filter. the head is adjustable so you can easily raise or lower it so that the discharge is at the water line, and the part with the sponges can be rotated to be in whatever position meets your needs (i like having them down, gives the most length)

Aquatop CF400UV 4-Stage Canister Filter with UV 9W, 370 gph

Aquatop CF400UV 4-Stage Canister Filter with UV 9W, 370 gphWhen my Penn-Plax canister gave up, this was the least expensive replacement on-line. I took a chance and ordered it. It arrived before the projected delivery date, in good shape, complete except for the "blue sponge pad" which was in the instruction diagram but may not have been an actual componenet my first complaint: the instructions leave a lot to be desired. I assembled the pump and fired it up. The ultra-violet light was an altogether new concept to me it seems to be doing a great job...my water remains clear and apparently bacteria free.

My fish give this 5 stars, but they don't have to maintain it. My last two compaints are in the cleaning and servicing area: There's no handle to carry it by grab with both hands and hang on and it has to be full of water for the siphon to effectively start...no big deals, but Penn Plax had that covered with their Cascade filters.

A neat feature is the inlet tube, which has a built in cleaning tube connection so you can vacumm your tank with a siphon-type cleaner by removing a cap and attaching your siphon hose to it and vacumm your gravel...at least I think that's what it is, as the instructions completely avoid this feature, but it works.

The inlet/outlet hose disconnect seems to be a good idea, but I haven't cleaned my hoses yet it's very simple to disconnect a big plus for me, as my filter sits inside a cabinet that's not much wider than the filter.

I use my filter to filter not set up a colony of bacteria to biologically control the water, so the ceramic filter "beads" get no special attention, and the filter pads get rinsed along with the charcoal bag (which is an excellent addition as it can be unzipped and refilled if needed).

This is a 3 stage filter which can be easily cleaned. Detailed instructions,a carrying handle and the ability to start the siphon with no water in the filter would make cleaning easier (this cost them one star) but it's not a major inconveience my filter is housed in a narrow cabinet. If it were sitting on the floor, it would be no problem. The ultra-violet light, siphon attachment on the intake tube and tubing and fittings are positive additions. In the past six weeks, I've cleaned my filter once it's due again, but I'd say 3 weeks is what I'll be looking at, and my tank is crowded...fewer fish would make for fewer cleanings. I'd recommend it to a friend, and if I ever get another tank, this is the filter I'll buy.

You cannot get a better canister filter for the price. The water in my tank is crystal clear. When this came in I was missing the outlet cover but I e-mailed the company and they sent one to me no charge. The only thing I would make a little more detailed is the instruction booklet. The hoses are a little tricky to get on at first and priming it is not as easy as the video makes it seem but once all of that is done, it is wonderful. So far so good!

I have a 1-year old 25-gallon marine tank with live rock/sand, 1 Chromis, 1 Damsel:

My canister filter has been going for over a month now and greatly outdoes my last filter. My fish look great, the water is clearer. You can't imagine how happy I was to find the filter with a UV Sterilizer built in. This saved so much space and a ton of money! After working in a petstore over 3 years, I am very impressed with this product and would compare it with Eheim and Fluval, except the Aquatop filters look nicer. Overall, very pleased.

I went from a 20 gallon aquarium to a 55 gallon one, and my Marineland-PC0250HSB-Magnum-55-Gallon-250GPH just wasn't doing to job. I have a 7 inch red eared slider. I needed something more powerful, but didn't want to spend over $100. After reading TONS of reviews, I felt this was the most bang for the buck. It's for an aquarium double the size I have, but turtles are dirty.

I was also having some surface algea which I had never had in the smaller tank. I used to have algea eaters, but now that he is bigger, he pretty much as ate all his tank mates, even the snails. He has a dock that sits above the water, and there was algea on the steps that I would have to clean off, and on the top of the peebles on the flooring. I started to get one of those UV algea power heads, but this I saw this, and thought maybe it would handle both needs. IT DID!!! I didn't see anything about surface algea (only green water) on the reviews, but took a chance and thought it might work. I did a half water change, and hook the this bad boy up, I purposely left all the surface algea. By two days later, it had vanished.

I never really had a problem with dirty water, but in true turtle fashion, he likes to dig a lot in his gravel. My old filter would get clogged up in two weeks with out fail. And if it was a really active digging day, he could get the water very cloudy. With this one, I don't see any debris. As soon as he stirs it up, the filter knocks it out.

I really like the return bar also. Instead of a pouring sound like the old one made (where the return is just a single pipe with a directional flow head) that just made me have to pee all the time, this is more like a water fall or fountain sound. It also has the option of extending the return lower to put it closer to the water, and lessen the noise. If have fish, and the tank is full, I guess this would be under water so you would hear it at all. He likes swimming through the bubble water the return creates, and I guess this might help with oxygenation of the water too for fish. The only fish that I put in there are food...so I am not worried about that.

The canister itself is very sturdy. The only "cheap" parts I wasn't impressed were the plastic parts that actually go into the tank, but they seem to work fine. I didn't have to buy anything special except filter media. To start I used exactly what the directions recommended. Sponge in the bottom, charcoal in the middle, and bio balls in the top. Seems to work fine, I can always adjust it later. The light is inside a thing, so you dont' have to worry about breaking it. It went together fine, and was pretty easy even without directions. I filled the canister up before attempting to prime it, because it is huge. I can't imagine trying to fill the whole thing with priming button. Priming went smoothly, and it started right up.

I will update this if something changes, but on day 5 I am thrilled.

Want Aquatop CF400UV 4-Stage Canister Filter with UV 9W, 370 gph Discount?

There are really only 2 extraordinary things about this filter: the low price, and the quietness during operation. Everything else is either mediocre or substandard.

While the added UV sterilizer is interesting, everything I ever learned about those was that flow rate had to be low, in order to increase dwell time, and allow the UV light to kill the baddies. What would a 9 Watt UV sterilizer do at a 370 Gallons per hour flow rate? To be fair, I ran the UV for a day, and it did clear up some stubborn biological cloudiness from the tank maintenance. So the UV does *something* at least.

I needed to replace an aging Eheim on my 90 gallon Cichlid tank. Those fish are beautiful to look at, but they really know how to pig-up an aquarium. I needed good flow rate, and I wanted to eliminate dead spots in the tank, so the plan was to run 2 canisters. This would allow drawing water from both rear corners, and the returns would cross over at the middle. I needed 5/8" tubing in order to run an inline water heater. I also didn't want to spend a fortune. This filter seemed to be "the one", so I bought 2 of them.

Firstly, these filters are not particularly robust in design. The latches, shut-off lever, intakes, spray bars, etc. are all pretty flimsy. Nothing broke out-of-box, but down the road I fully expect for some breakage to occur, after repeated actuations.

Secondly, I was greeted with a very strong chemical smell when I opened each new filter. I opted to be safe, and I rinsed everything off, and ran fresh water through each unit. I then left everything out in the sun (under a skylight) to allow for outgassing of whatever it was that I was smelling.

There were also plastic shavings all over the interior of the filters, and there was excess silicone lubricant all over the top half of each unit. An impeller cover had also worked its way loose in transit, but that was no biggie.

Some of the fittings for the spray bars did not mate together well; I had to break out the teflon tape to add to the O.D. of one of the fittings to allow for proper fitment. If I hadn't it would have leaked all over the place.

The media baskets seemed a bit on the small side for a canister filter of this flow rate, but maybe it's just me. The Aqua Top chemical and biological media is pretty pathetic, in my opinion. There were a lot of ceramic rings stuck together, that I had to separate, and the carbon bags were utterly ridiculous. I've never had to rinse carbon so many times before.

In summary, the filter is inexpensive, it moves water, it's inexpensive, it's quiet, and it's inexpensive. Did I mention that it's inexpensive? But the build quality is nowhere near that of most of the competition. If you're OK with that, and are on a budget, this is probably the filter for you. If you light your cigars with $100 bills, move along, there's nothing here to see.

All Glass Aquarium AAG91391 Hinge, 3/16-Inch X 6ftI ordered two of this "hinges" from this seller (Ozbo) but instead, I got two brown metal profiles for a 3/16" glass with a velvet trim. I live in Costa Rica and it is very difficult to me (and expensive) to return these metal profiles back to USA.

My hinges finally gave out on my Oceanic 75 gallon aquarium and I got these. They work great and the fish love them.

Tetra 19117 Water Wonders Fresh Water Plant Cabomba, 9-Inch

Tetra 19117 Water Wonders Fresh Water Plant Cabomba, 9-InchThis plant is as advertised. looks just like the picture. Dark green, base is a v shaped clear plastic about three inches long. Good product.

The item is not as green as shown and is held down by cheap thin and narrow plastic that can not hold enough gravel or sand to weigh it down. I wish I would have passed on this stuff and purchased something that looked a bit more realistic. this just looks like cheap faux plants floating in my tank (floating because I am tired of putting my arm in 20 in of fish water to re-bury them!)

Fish Mate 500GUV & 1000GBIO Replacement Filter Foam

Fish Mate 500GUV & 1000GBIO Replacement Filter FoamThe picture is clearly misleading. It shows the filters for the replacement kit, but what you see, sure as heck isn't what you get. I used the picture as a guide as to what would be included in the order, but all I got was a huge box with a tiny piece of foam that wasn't worth 10 cents, much less than $10. What gives? Either my order was incomplete, or they posted the wrong pic in the description. Considering the size of the box and the amount of packing material, I have to wonder.

Either way, I returned the item in the same huge box they sent it in.

Does the job, easy to clean. Works well with my prefilter on my pump to clean the water after it goes through the UV.

Fluval M Submersible Heater

Fluval M 150-Watt Submersible HeaterDon't be misled by the information on the packaging that says this heater should not be submersed completely. I called Fluval and was told that they were forced to put that in the instructions and on the unit for the sake of Canadian requirements. The unit is fully submersible and it keeps my aquarium at a more even temperature than any other heater I've purchased. In addition the temperature dial seems to be much more accurate. Good unit! Buy it!

This is a very nice heater. The reflective surface makes it blend in. It IS submersible and is about 12" long. Like all heaters, you have to tweak it to find out the precise setting .......... no problem. I recommend it.

Buy Fluval M Submersible Heater Now

First, I selected 2 days shipping through Amazon Prime and received this item exactly on time, in the afternoon of the second day. It was packaged in a box with bags of air. I appreciated that since this is a fragile product.

The first thing I noticed upon opening the box was that this heater is huge for the wattage. Mine is 50 watts, to be used in a 10 gallon aquarium, and it is almost exactly the same height as the aquarium itself. Then when I put it in the aquarium it became clear that the reflective surface of the heater serves only to make it MORE visible. It just looks like this gleaming shiny metal object in there, and doesn't really seem to actually reflect the colors surrounding it, but instead it reflects the aquarium light above. Because of this I decided to lay it against the bottom back of the aquarium so that it is obscured by plants, and the cord goes right up the seam of the aquarium where it isn't noticeable. If you're buying this for its subtlety, you'll be disappointed.

BUT, despite this, I am pleased with my purchase to far. It has been keeping my 10 gallon betta tank appropriately warm, within a degree of the setting and that's all I really care about. I was going to get a Hydor Theo but this was bit cheaper. It seems to perform just as well. Granted I have only had it for about a day and a half, but I will update my review if the performance changes.

In case anyone's wondering, the heater appears to be some sort of metal or metallic material encased in glass, so it is fragile like other glass heaters. It's not made of metal on the outside.

Finally, I wanted to dispel the myth that this heater is not fully submersible. Although there is a fill line on the heater, my research has shown that everyone who has called the company directly has been told that the heater can be fully submerged safely, and that the fill line was included only due to some sort of strange government regulation.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thought I would edit and say this is still heating well for me. I've also moved it into a different tank, and was able to position it in such a way that it is not very visible. I'm uploading a picture for reference.

Read Best Reviews of Fluval M Submersible Heater Here

I purchased two of these for my 110 gallon tank. They keep the temperature right where I need it. My main issue is that there is a "do not place below this line" and it is about 1" below the "do not allow water below this line". My tank evaporates 2 inches in a week... so if I didn't fully submerge it, it would overheat due to lack of water. I've hard it submerged now for a couple of months with no problem; however, it is concerning that there is a max water level on a submergable heater. It works great and is working fully submerged, but I gave it a 4 because I suspect this might void the warranty.

Want Fluval M Submersible Heater Discount?

This is the first heater I have bought this brand and am very statisfied with it. It was much cheaper than the one I looked at in the pet store, same brand and watts. I would definately recommend this one!

Eheim 2075 Pro 3 Canister Filter - Up to 160 gal.

Eheim 2075 Pro 3 Canister Filter - Up to 160 gal.I've owned an Eheim 2217 for many years and it has operated flawlessly. I recently set up a new 110 gallon community tank and decided to spring on the latest Eheim model the 2075. It's only been running 2 months so perhaps my impression on this will improve, but so far it's been underwhelming.

As others have mentioned, the priming button doesn't really work. YOu have to press the buttom 20+ times...just when you're about to give up and try to do it the hard way then it springs to life.

Second, even after a 50% water change, my water is still cloudy. It doesn't seem to help...although I'm hoping this gets settled once the tank has been running a few more months.

If I can do this again, I would get the Eheim Pro II 2028, which has gotten MUCh better reviews.

** Edited 10/25/10 **

The cloudiness has settled and the tank is pristine. However, the priming button still doesn't work. I think I've isolated the cause the floating valve gets stuck in the cavity which prevents a suction from forming initially. I don't know what'll happen if I remove the float valve...maybe I'll try it next time.

Just like some of the other reviewers I have had considerable problems with leaks. The first time was after eight months of use. Eheim replaced the unit and now here I am a year later with another flood.

Buy Eheim 2075 Pro 3 Canister Filter - Up to 160 gal. Now

I have 3 big fancy goldfish in a 55g tank, which needs a lot of filtration because these fish produce a lot of waste. I was a first time buyer of an external canister filter and a first-time purchaser of an Eheim product. I had heard that older Eheim models were very reliable, but I ended up buying the Eheim Pro 3 2075 from Marine Depot because this model had a newer, sleeker design, and sounded easy to clean. I chose Eheim over other models because of Eheim's reputation. I bought the Eheim in April 2010. Several days ago, that is, a year and two months later, the filter is leaking water somewhere close to the electric cord, a complaint that other reviewers of this product have reported on Amazon and on numerous other forums. Upon finding this leak, I cleaned the filter, thoroughly checked for any cracks, plugged it back in, and it seemed to work fine. Fours hours later, I found a puddle of water by the filter yet again. I frantically shut off the filter, Googled "Eheim Pro 3 leaks" (try it yourself) and found that other people also experienced the exact same problem with this filter in the exact same spot. People also seemed to notice these leaks after one year of owning this filter, which is also my case. The Eheim Pro 3 series clearly has defects that the manufacturer needs to correct. Do not purchase filters from the Eheim Pro 3 line! When I installed this filter upon first receiving it, the filter worked beautifully and I was ecstatic with the results. Within the one year of owning it, I was able to change the filter media only 4 times with incredible ease. However, I think you only begin to see these leaks after the machine has been running for awhile. I'm disappointed with this product because I paid over $200 for the filter. But I guess as a first-time user of external canister filters, the lesson that I have learned is to not purchase an Eheim product ever again. I do not favor Eheims over other models because I lack experience in this hobby, but I do know from experience that this particular filter has failed me miserably.

Read Best Reviews of Eheim 2075 Pro 3 Canister Filter - Up to 160 gal. Here

This canister filter was purchased for a 90 gallon African Cichlid tank. I've owned my unit for approximately 2 weeks and purchased my filter for $250.00 I utilized cichlid sand that was not rinsed under manufacturer recommendation and absolutely clouded the water something terrible. The filter was able to make a significant difference in just 24 hours and absolutely cleared the water within 48-72 hours. I knew of the Eheim name and reputation and risked its purchase although I could not find many reviews on this particular model (2075). There were plenty available for the model 2080. Now, let's cut to the chase.

The Good:

1) Incredibly QUIET!!! There is absolutely no hum whatsoever during its operation. You know it's working because you will see the wave of surface agitation from the powerhead.

2) Very efficient as witnessed by me personally in clearing my milky water in just 48 hrs.

3) Relatively simple assembly and installation.

4) Simply hose disconnect feature to allow for cleaning the canister.

5) My model was a complete kit including all filters and substrate all inclusive.

The Bad:

1) The priming feature did not work well and exhausted me in the process. It took quite a while before it decided to work. I pumped the primer over and over and over and..........get the point? It did nothing. Eventually it started after one final attempt.

2) The substrate is very expensive.

3) No tilt and roll wheels on this model to assist with removing from your tank stand.

4) Input and output hoses were a bit difficult to seat on quick disconnect valve on motor head.

Truly, nearly a perfect filter for my 90 gallon aquarium. I would purchase this or any other Eheim product based on my experience with this filter. It deserves a 4.5 rating (because of the primer) but was not available.

It was fantastic to come home from work to find 1/2 of a 130 gallon tank on the floor and a real scared fish. I contacted ehiem, after several emails they said it was a broken primer seal. Its suppose to have a 3 year warrenty... They would not send me one nor tell me where I could get one..... Save your money and go with another manufacture.

Collar Elizabethan Rigid Size 1I needed this collar right away and actually purchased it for my 12 lb cat. The shipper took way too long, way past the last required date, so they refunded my money. But this size did fit my cat. By the time I received it, my cat no longer needed it, so he never wore it but I did look at it and it seems reasonably comfortable for a pet.

Dingo Home for Dwarf Hamsters and Mice

Dingo Home for Dwarf Hamsters and MiceI have this cage and it is attached to a Crittertrail one, 2 crittertrail mini one's, a habbittrail outpost, and a crittertrail outhouse. It makes for a great setup, and basically a mansion for my 4 dwarf hamsters. I am undecided if I love this cage or hate it... you can descide for yourself, but here is some pros and cons to help along:

Pros:

LOVE the 2 layers, really gives them that burrowing feeling that is so comforting to them.

Easy access to the lower level.

Pretty solid.

Cons:

Connections are weak and hard to adapt to crittertrail tubes, even thought they are listed as compatable.

You must buy door kits if you plan to add any tubes or other cages, they are somewhat hard to find.

The wheel is COMPLETELY obnoxious although safer than some of the ones I have seen it was removed after 1 day of my dwarf hamsters finding it. I tried to put a Silent Spinner (the most safe and silent and best quality wheel I have ever had the pleasure of owning) but there wasn't enough room, so I put 2 of them elsewhere in my system.

Not much ventalation, although with my setup this isn't as much of a problem because of the other cages connected. This is an issue as small animals can DIE from the ammonia of there own urine if not well ventalated.

The top half of the cage is hard to access.

All in all, if you are adding this to an existing system with good vent. and you don't mind buying door kits, finding specal tubes, and only handleing your pet when they feel like comming out, it's a good cage, but PLEASE at least add a small cage with good vent. and put a silent spinner wheel in! :)

I wish I had read the online reviews here before purchasing this at PetSmart.

Our pet mice are now dead, thanks to this gas chamber.

I completely disagree with other reviewers who though this cage wasn't top quality. I connected this cage with two others and this is by far the favorite for my hamsters. My Campbell's hamsters absolutely love this cage and in fact my girl had babies in there twice in succession because she felt so safe in there. So now I have 6 hamsters (girls because I put the boys in another set of cages) and this is the best cage because it is sooooo easy to clean, you just unsnap one orange hing on either side and lift up the plastic to clean, and my hamsters really love it here and I can just remove the purple lid on the side to have them come out so I can pet them. The wheel is really nice and it's inside the cage so the hamsters don't throw stuff all over my floor and it's true that it gets loud after you have it for a while but if you put a tiny bit of corn oil on the part that connects it to the cage it will stay quiet. My hamsters really like going into the orange "underground" compartment and hang out in this cage the most.

This is a great cage for one or two MICE of DWARF hamsters-but not for larger hamsters or garbles! I have had my cage for a few months now and it has been working really well for my single male mouse.

Pros: Easy to clean, easy to take apart and put back together, the "underground" area for the mouse to sleep and burrow in is great and he really enjoys it, you can add other cages or accessories to this cage.

Cons: Poop gets stuck between the 2 parts of the wheel and it must be taken completely apart to clean, the water bottle leaks, and unless your pet is people friendly, it can be difficult to get them out of the cage by means of the lid.

I got a Robo Hamster and this cage last Friday.

Initially, we were happy about this cage.

But this water bottle didn't work! So, my hamster got dehydrated and died on Monday....

This company specializes hamsters and small animals-they should know better!

I don't know how many hamsters has / will be suffered this kind of cage... but from my experience, use glass aquarium and high quality water bottle! Don't buy this cage! It'll kill your hamster!

Loops 2 Double Handle Nylon Leash, 6-Foot, Pink

Loops 2 Double Handle Nylon Leash, 6-Foot, PinkThis is comparable to a similar leash I got years ago that I paid $20 for. I'd highly recommend this one!

My requirements for a leash were fairly simple.

The leash must...

... have a sliding spring clasp rather than a lobster claw spring clasp.

... have two handles.

... be pink (I really don't care about the color, but I'm sick of everyone saying, "HE has the prettiest eyes", ugh!), so pink it must be.

... be heavy duty and sturdy.

That's it, that's all I wanted. Thankfully, that's exactly what I got. Granted, it's no leather lead, so workmanship isn't 100% high quality. However, for my big male malamute/CBR, I bought one of these that lasted his entire life. May God rest his beautiful soul.

I expect this one to last a long time too.

The double handle is wonderful for strong dogs who may pull on walks. The shorter loop can be held for more control when crossing the street. Very well-made leash!

Exotic Environments Caribbean Living Reef Aquarium Ornament

Exotic Environments Caribbean Living Reef Aquarium Ornament, Mini , 4-Inch by 3-1/2-Inch by 3-1/2-InchI purchased the 7 1/2 inch ornament for my 10 gallon tank. I had read other reviews where people said, it didn't look as colorful and vivid as it does in the picture. When I opened the box, I was expecting it not to be colorful, but it was colorful. It is so pretty and it really makes my tank more enjoyable to look at. Now if only my fish would swim in there instead of looking at it wondering if it's some strange monster. This is a perfect size for a 10 gallon tank, it's not too small and not too large.

At first I was dissatisfied that the colors weren't as bright as they appeared in the ad, but then I put it in my aquarium with plants and other decor and it looks great! It looks like a mini coral reef and the colors blend well with the plants on a light white gravel. My fish also use the cave to hide or explore and that is always fun to watch. The quality seems good also. So all-in-all I am very happy with it and the price was very good for the quality.

I bought this for my little 2 gallon aquarium. It's perfect for that. The colors are bright, and it just looks really nice in there. The fish like to play hide and seek in the little tunnel, too.

I bought this for my 12yr old $1.25 goldfish.I thought this will be very colorful and will brighten up it's space since the gravel is almost white after we last replaced it 3 yrs ago.Even though this seems well built ,I was disappointed that it was very drab in color, not really colorful at all.Fishy seems to be curious about it so I guess it's not all bad. I gave it 4 stars because as my son said"you're not the one swimming around in the tank, don't worry about it."

I purchased the Mini Reef for my 1-Gallon Desktop home of my Betta (Freddie). But I also have two ghost shrimp. Ghost shrimp need a place to hide at times as they molt their protective skin on occassion. This not only serves the purpose but looks fantastic. No regrets!

I purchased this item to divide my Bettas in my 2.5 gallon All Glass Aquarium. It comes with 2 glass dividers which surprised me because I was only expecting one and I also expected it to be acrylic or something cheap but it's glass. This item is great except for the fact that it has no holes for water flow. I plan on taking it to a glass cutter to get holes cut into it before I use it. Other than that it fits perfectly in the slots and is a great item.

It is really good product. It is cheap, made by glass! I bought it for all 4 tanks.

With no holes for water to flow in and out, only the side of the tank with the filter in it is being filtered. RIDICULOUS! Not to mention betta's need 5 gals or more live happily and this divider suggests you put two or even THREE in one 2.5 gal tank!?! And that anyone not on the filter side sit in their own waste?! CRUEL! These fish come from rice paddies that, for the majority of the year, can be thousands of gallons! And they are naturally aerated. The myth they like tiny places is absolutely ridiculous.

I've had many of the 2.5 gallon tanks that these dividers fit into for years, and have never been able to locate the dividers. After finding these here I ordered four sets for all my tanks. They fit perfectly and even sit slightly higher than the plastic interior rim of the tank, which means the glass lid sits on top with a slight gap between it and the rim. This works well to give a bit of room for a heater cable to run through.

Although water won't flow between sections of the tank, this isn't an issue with Bettas, and you could still choose to have air stones in each section if you wished.

ProClear Aquatics Motorized 250 Gallon Protein Skimmer

ProClear Aquatics Motorized 250 Gallon Protein SkimmerUsing a Pro Clear 250 on a 125 reef tank. While dirty foam is collecting inside the column, the pump does not seem to have enough "oomph" to push the foam up into the collection cup. Its been running for three weeks. Have tried every combination of water level and air intake. Best foam created with air intake valve removed (wide open air intake), and deepest possible sump water level, and water column pipe raised to highest level. Water temp is 80 degrees, specific gravity of 1.026. This is going back to the retailor-if they'll take it.

I was actually surprised on how well this skimmer works for the cost. I think that its a keeper!!

I needed to get these fish for a feng shui fountain that I am building and could not afford the ones on the site I first saw the idea on so...I went shopping and Amazon had these at the best price for both item and shipping. They do the job and look pretty too! Yes if I needed more I would try to find them again here.

Want Jardin Plastic Aquarium Decor Faux Fantail Goldfish, 2-Piece, Orange Discount?

I purchased these for both my indoor fountain and outdoor water garden. They are cute! I purchased two sets of two. One of the fish tilts upward so that it looks like it is either feeding or getting some oxygen. The others float upright. The tails swivel to and fro randomly with water currents. I might attach a thin string and weight to the tails to keep them in areas of my water features I'd like them to stay. I don't need to worry about the neighbor's cat with these faux fishies. I'm thinking about getting some more. The shipment arrived two weeks before the provided expected arrival date which was nice as I was anxious to see the quality of them. Pictures uploaded.

Zoo Med Floating Betta Log

Zoo Med Floating Betta LogMy little crowntail Jack has been in love with his Betta Log "house" for 5 months now. It fit perfectly in the corner of his 5 gallon tank. It was his FAVORITE place to hang out! Just a few days ago I noticed he had torn a hole in his fin. Immediately I went to do the nylon test on all his little toys, plants, and hideaways. (This involves dragging a pair of nylons over the items. Anything it snags on can also tear a betta fin. All his toys pass this test before I put them in) His log snagged all over the place, horribly! I have no doubt it is what tore his fin.

It looks like after a few months, his log started to wear away. I noticed color loss to reveal the grey beneath, and didn't worry too much. I just washed his toy and stuck it back in. I wish I had checked with nylon again! Make sure to check and make sure there are no sharp edges every few weeks. Unfortunately I had no luck sanding down the sharp spots.

Jack loved his toy while it lasted, and I would recommend it to other betta users. HOWEVER, make sure it isn't sharp so your little fishy friend doesn't get any injuries.

My blue super delta tail Ramses is a tail biter. I have been trying to pinpoint the cause of his tailbiting. I recently bought the floating betta log with hopes that it was boredom that was causing my baby to bite his fins (it was not). I have to admit it took Ramses awhile to figure out that his log is for his amusement and to give him a place to feel safe and secure. He loves to swim through his log. Bettas love to swim through things. I recently caught him resting in his log with part of his caudal fin sticking out which was too cute. I should note that I have Ramses in a large Kritter Keeper which is approximately 3 gallons, perfect for his floating log. To keep it from moving all over the place, his log is wedged between some fake plants which he has easy access to swim in and out of. I have heard that the paint chips off the log after awhile so I am going to watch mine very carefully and suggest to people to do the same to be safe than sorry. Overall I think it was well worth the money I spent on my boy Ramses.

This is great for Bettas. All mine love the log and enjoy swimming in it and resting in it. The only bad thing about the log is that it chips off easily. I've had mine since June and it's already had it's share of wear and tare. It's a great product though, one that I'd recommend, but for the price and how badly it lasts, not something for the long haul.

After eyeing this item on Amazon for a couple months, I was pleasantly surprised to find it available at my local Petsmart! Hooray!

I have my betta fish in a Marineland Eclipse 2.5 gallon tank. I only had a small plant (with a couple leaves) in there for a decoration, but realized the gentle current of the pump was still too strong for my betta. So, I was on the hunt for tank decorations. Because this tank is longer vertically than horizontally, there isn't alot of surface area of water at the top.

However, the betta log still has just enough space to float around. A little cramped, but still OK. So, you should only buy this betta log if you have a horizontal tank or a 2.5 gallon or larger tank. Definitely check the measurements of the betta log and the opening of your tank to see if you can squeeze it in passively into the tank. If it is too cramped, I'm afraid that the log could drift and pin the betta against the wall of the tank!

My betta loves it this product. He isn't always hanging out inside, but he enjoys being in there sometimes. The log is also helpful because it significantly slows the water current from the pump, allowing my fish to hover more easily at the top without being hassled.

Check out the photo I took!
