The tree is a great value for the $. It's as tall as it claims to be but it's not really usable at that height. It's quite wobbly when extended that far. Although I did put it up and my kitties are using it. (I just wrapped a furniture strap around one of the posts and bolted it to a stud it the wall and now it's sturdy as can be!)

I was going on vacation for 10 days, and thought about everything except how to feed my finicky fish while I was gone. My immediate thought was to go down to Walmart and pick up the first cheap fish feeders I saw, the problem is my custom fish tank has a weird rim that doesn't allow for the clip on fish feeder sold there.

After reading several reviews, I decided to go with the Eheim, but was then worried that it wouldn't be delivered before I had to leave. Thankfully Amazon sent this to me with plenty of time to spare. The customizable feeding settings were much more accomodating than I expected. With several ways to attach it to an aqaurium, I was easily able to attach it to mine. And, the double feeding compartments allowed me to maintain their alternating diet with ease.

Still a little worried, I came back from my vacation expecting to see a couple floaters but thankfully I was wrong. Everyone of them are still alive and well, so it goes without saying that if you're as attached to your fish as I am, I would HIGHLY recommend this feeder thank you Amazon.

This feeder is only for large aquariums with lots of fish because the smallest amount of food dumped in the water is great (for about 15 big fish at least !!!!)

This product does not work well. Its screw mechnism does not push the food very well. I would look at the other Ehiem feeder as that one is better and cheaper.

I used this to keep my large Oscar, large Plecostomus, and Bichir alive for 3 weeks while I took a trip to Europe. One side had my large Oscar pellets which float, while the other side was filled shrimp pellets which sink. When I got back from my 3 week trip, my fish were still alive and doing well.

The digital display is nice because you can tell it is on and running. Now that I am back from vacation, I only wish it reported if it worked okay. I sometimes have seen error messages indicating a problem and that the screw needed to be cleared. However, I don't know how long those error messages stay there. It would be nice if I could look at the LCD sometime within the hour it activates to see a message that it activated properly. The fish eat the food quickly, so I am left wondering if they got fed okay.

One thing I had to do was cut a plastic cup to form a funnel to make sure the pellets dropped into the aquarium and not spilled outside of it. It would be nice if the item came with some kind of funnel setup that could be cut with scissors to fit most applications. If I could make a funnel tall enough, I would mount this on top of my lighting fixture. The way I have it setup now, the light fixture had to be moved forward on the aquarium top. This keeps me from being able to lift the lid to add food manually without removing the automatic feeder and moving the light fixture back toward the rear.

Also, the device tends to push out a lot of food. I have it on its lowest setting, which is suitable but almost too much food.

In any case, this automatic feeder did what it needed to do while I was on vacation.

I am very happy with these plastic aquarium plants. They have ceramic bases so they are easy to position without floating up like some others do when not buried in the gravel or sand well enough. They seem well made and the pack offers a nice variety. All 4 plants are slightly different.

These were half the size I thought they would be... they are worth every penny spent on them, but not much more than that. They are filled with a green grit substance used to add weight to them. It seems to break apart pretty easily, I took all of it out and zip tied them to other aquarium ornameants

This is a cage topper for a standard 20 gallon tank. It also acts as a nice holding cage as long as you twist tie the ramp that leads down into the tank. This little feature makes this tank topper a dream for cleaning the tank portion of the cage.

I gave this cage only 4 stars, because there are just a couple of cons. While I understand nothing is perfect, we, as pet owners love our furry little friends and want them to be safe and sound. And, as a matter-of-fact, ourselves as well.

I reiterate: This is a dream for our pet Rat (Luna), and ability to "convert" it to a stand alone cage with a simple wire tie gets it a thumbs up.

Cons-

-The cage is not painted at all, It seems to be (and as the description says) galvanized welded wire. Suggestion to the manufacturer, perhaps you could make future versions of this cage powder coated or rubber-coated. Its somewhat unsightly.

-The bottom edges of the cage (where it fits around the frame of the tank) has very sharp, wire edges. Beware, for safety of yourself, and your children. Suggestion to the manufacturer, a little file work, or light grinding, goes a long way to ensure the safety of our pets and your customers.

I'll do the work and file the edges myself, which is easy enough. Just wanted to point out a few observations I've made. Hope this helps future buyers, though I hope you make the choice to add some space for your little friends. I've had to buy this as a down grade to a custom wire mesh wrapped Ferret Nation double level Mansion to a Two Story Tank House, but Luna seems very happy being able to get some fresh air, and it's much easier to interact with her for play time and feeding.

The charcoal filter thing did not fit into the tube that was meant to hold it, making it totally useless. Also, it got knocked onto the laminate floor from the top of a small dresser and shattered, which is not what I would expect from a plastic fish bowl.

I bought each of my kids one of these tanks for their bettas. They love them. They can each pick which light setting they want. I was hoping the bettas would glow more, but that has nothing to do with the tank. I also bought a small filter for the tanks to keep them cleaner. Great tank for the price.

I bought this tank January 2, 2013 for my Betta Jack. It was great for the first few weeks, then the lights weren't so bright anymore and now they're going out. I don't think this tank is worth the price being asked or what I paid for it by a long shot. I cannot find anyway of replacing the bulbs and the inside the hood is rusting. For all of this nonsense, plus there is no filter or anything special about this tank, other than the "great" LED lights, lol, I would not buy this again. I would not buy another tank like this again either.

BTW, quick note, another reviewer stated he was annoyed with the crappy filter, there is NO filter. That is a bubbler, NOT a filter.

The aquarium I received is actually 1.8gal so that's a bit of a bonus, but in all other respects it's not worth nearly the list price (I was able to purchase it on sale). The undergravel filter keeps the water clean, though you should use gravel or decorations from a healthy, established tank when setting this up to ensure you have the proper bacteria started. After just a week of use, I noticed that screws in the hood had already begun to rust. Also, you can't use an automatic timer to turn the light on. So far all the LED bulbs seem to work fine though I'm guessing that once they go, though I would rather have the one small standard bulb that is used on most other similar small aquariums.

All in all, it's not bad but I wouldn't recommend paying more than $20 for it, if that much.

Looks nice, but you'll have to add a small filter if you don't want stinky and cloudy water. I had to add a small filter and it's okay now.

Although I received a different aquarium than I ordered this one is fine. I was not sure about the different color lights. I prefer an aquarium with lights that actually heat the water. But overall it is a good product.

I just received the skimmer yesterday so I can't comment on it's performance, but it looks like a good unit.

The comment I will make is that it doesn't come with a water pump. I spent about 1/2 hour looking at the documentation online before I purchased trying to determine what else I need. I would have liked to have it indicated that a pump was not included. Frustrating to have to re-order parts later.

I believe that this has the potential to be a great skimmer, however, I'm not sure I will ever know. I have a problem with the skimmer maintaining a consistent water level in the tank, going back and forth every minute or so between staying where it should be and them dropping 5 inches before returning. So the problem is that the water level doesn't stay high enough to skim on a consistent basis. I'm guessing that it's not a big deal to fix, but the Hydor web site (nice looking but no useful content) has no info in it's forums, and a call to the USA phone number was met with a message to not call them, but to submit a message through the web site, which I have done and am waiting foe someone to call that hopefully I can explain the problem to and get some ideas. I wanted this type of skimmer because it did not have to be placed at a certain height, and didn't have to be in the sump. (I have the 3005 model). What little time is skims successfully, it is awesome, but that's not very often. If I manage to solve the issue I believe it will be great, but with no access to customer service I don't know what to try next.

Initially I had purchased a Performer 2005 and received it broken. Apparently it took a hard hit somewhere in the shipping process to Amazon and the whole body was shattered and in pieces. Called Amazon and they were wonderful (as usual, that is why I am a Prime Member and try to ONLY buy through Prime). They immediately sent out the 3005 because they had no more 2005's in stock and I needed a skimmer for my 450 gallon tank. Got the 3005 and the top of the collection cup was cracked all the way through around where the cap attached to the circular underside. OK, that was not a deal breaker since the skimmer could function with the cap cracked. Set up the unit and waited for the break in period which is usually no longer than a week. Called Hydor and they told me that it could take up to 10 days. By the 10th day it was still doing nothing. Called Hydor again and they told me to take the sponge out of the Seltz pump which was running it. Well then it decided to overflow all over the place...I had 5 gallons of water all over the room, so I called them again and they said it should not do that, then they decided that there must have been an error in lining up the outlet valve so the markings on the unit did not correspond with the amount of water it was letting out. Then it decided to go from nothing to overflowing Again and dumped out another 5 gallons on the floor. At that point I had had enough and called Amazon who cheerfully issued the call tag and is issuing a full refund.

NoClean Aquarium Self-Cleaning Betta Fish Desktop Aquarium

I've been looking at this product for a while and it has some mixed reviews but I decided to try it. I am pleasantly surprised by how easy it is and how well it works. It takes very little time to flush the aquarium with water and it cleans the bottom nicely. The best part is my Betta fish doesn't seem bothered. Cleaning the tank used to traumatize him no matter how carefully it was done. I receive a lot of compliments on it and it is larger than the popular Betta Bowls available at the pet store. Overall, I'd say it's a win-win and would recommend it to anyone considering the purchase.

So I've owned my NoClean Betta Aquarium for about 3 months now and I absolutely love it! So much so, that I just bought a second one for a birthday gift for my 3 year old niece. She saw the one I had at my house and couldn't stop talking about it, so I got her one of her own and she hasn't stopped thanking me yet :)

The experience I've had with this tank has been great. First of all, it is an awesome conversation piece. When I first got it, I set it up in my office and every single person that came by commented on how cool it looked. When they learned what the spout was for, they were even more impressed. I've seen some complaints from another reviewer saying that this tank was a waste of money. That couldn't be any further from the truth! If you go to a pet store, a regular betta tank that's half the size will cost you around $15-$25. Then you have to buy a net to remove the fish while cleaning the tank ($5). Then you need a vacuum to siphon the dirt and poop out of the bottom of the tank ($10). This tank also came with attractive rocks/gems that you'd have to buy separately at the store. On top of all that, you seriously can't put a price on the ease and convenience of cleaning this tank and the quality of life that your fish will enjoy as a result. When I owned a conventional fish tank, the fish were lucky if I got around to cleaning it once a month, and I dreaded it every time. With this aquarium, all I have to do is pour in some treated water and watch the tank clean itself! I have no problem doing this several times a week and my tank and water stay perfectly clean at all times! On top of that, my fish seems more active and healthy as a result. I've even used the refuse water as a fertilizer for my house plants! Talk about letting nothing go to waste!

In my opinion, this tank is worth every single penny! It looks great in almost any indoor setting as a functional decoration and comfy home for your pet betta. I have purchased two of these now and am extremely happy with both of them and have highly recommended this product to others. If you want a great, low-maintenance, relatively inexpensive gift for a child, senior, college student, coworker or basically ANYONE including yourself, get the NoClean Aquarium!

I bought one directly from NoClean as I wanted to see the design .

It arrived in a timely manner well packed but unassembled with Chinese like instructions to put the thing together . If you wear a size large glove like me you will not be able to get your hand in the jar to set it up but will need to use tongs and bonsai like procedures to set it up.

I had a problem with the first try at setup with the water level being above the black seal on the waste water spout that leaked and e-mailed NoClean and received no reply . Disassembled and tonged it back together (remember can't get my hand in it ) and found the thin plastic waste collector was not pushed down far enough .

Now my review for how it works.

It's just way to small for a Betta (yes they can live in it) but it's like keeping a canary bird in a show cage all it's life.

No way to heat it. The self clean system is lame as I'm keeping a baby Betta in it even with 200% water changes there is still waste in the waste collector also waste gets under the collector as this is just a thin piece of plastic that is not sealed so how do you get that out ?

It's a good idea but now it's just a 60 dollar plus jar that can self drain.

I had a terrible time even getting the tank. Back ordered and they kept telling me there were issues. It took TWO months to get it shipped to me after paying for it. I have had it now for a little over two months and I don't know where the positive reviews are coming from but I think they need glasses. If you put rocks in the bottom they collect debris and start to grow things. I have cleaned the tank once a week and tomorrow I will have to dismantle the entire tank to scrub the rocks and the plant material. After paying for this (should have done this first) I started reading about my poor fish and discovered that you have to have some sort of heater that keeps the water at a decent life sustaining temp. The easy to find 10w is too large and started to boil my poor fish. The 5w is almost perfect, but now I have spent well over $100. just on the tank and the heaters. Not to mention that it takes up space the betta can't spare! I also agree with everyone that says this is just a cruel way to keep a betta. Poor thing needs more room. Now I have to tell my husband....this great idea....not so great. Now we have to go buy ANOTHER larger tank for my $5.00 fish. Avoid!!! They need a filtration system and room to swim. They may live in shallow ponds, but they have acres to swim in there! If it sounds too good to be true it usually is!

Sure, these filters perform great, they always have. I'm not really an aquarium expert but the catch a lot of goo, and seem to work well for the recommended month long lifetime.

The real takeaway is that the local big box pet store charges FIVE TIMES AS MUCH for this same box of filters as Amazon. Nuts to that. Buy your filters here.

Having to ordering replacement filters regularly is the main reason I dislike this filter setup. At least this 6pack is much cheaper than buying at the local pet store and shipping is quick. These are great if you are stuck using this filter, the filter pads themselves work fine and keep the water clean.

Try rinsing off the filter pad in old aquarium water when you do a water change to prolong the life of the cartridge. I have the 2.5 and 5 gallon minibow aquariums, and find that rinsing prolongs the usability of the filter cartridge 2-3 times longer. If the aquarium starts to get that "fishy" smell that means the activated carbon in the filter has been depleted and the cartridge is due to be replaced.

It's a filter, it seems to do what it is supposed to although I have no way to scentifically test the efficiency of the activated charcoal.

Now the tank has settled down, the water is bright and clear. I do a water refresh every two weeks and change the filters alternate weekends. Sometimes I wash debris off it between changes.

Prices from Amazon are much better than from local stores.

I bought 3 of these toys for a household of 8 cats with claws. After several months of heavy use (i.e. kicking), the part where the tail is attached is falling apart. I also really wish the denim material was tougher, as it is not "jeans" denim but more of a soft, thin material. Despite this, so far the tail is the only part that has gotten torn. I suspect it can be re-sewn fairly easily, but I was hoping it would last longer.

During the months the cats got to use it, they absolutely loved it! The pouch for catnip is a great feature, and they had a great time licking and chewing at it without any catnip falling out. Some of the other cats simply enjoy using this as a pillow.

Fluval U4 Underwater Filter Foam Pad

I use the U4 along with Fluval's hangon tank filter in a 55g for water turtles. They together keep the tank ok and cheaper right now than the FX I want. But this is short term solution and they filters are at opposite ends of tank to push together dirty water.

SO while this works, I wouldn't recommend others do it if they can afford the FX series for water turtles. This is best for fish, and haven't had any problems with my feeder fish getting into this filter.

*Change out only one side(there are 2) at a time to keep the good biological bacteria.

Replacement for old foam pads that lasted a couple years. I have had the fluvall filter in my turtle tank for several years and this is the first replacement of this item, would highly recommend.

I bought this for a tank that I bought as a stand alone tank, not a kit. The hood seems to let very little water evaporate. At least the water level does not drop as much as my rectangle tank. The tank is thick enough to remain ridged yet thin enough to cut extra holes in. I have 2 hoses, a heater, and a hang on the back filter. Another plus is that it does not allow the water that does evaporate collect on the light.
