Aquatic Life Light T5 HO 4-Lamp 2-Lunar Aquarium Light, 30-Inch

I am using this light with a planted fresh water tank and it puts out a lot of light. The instructions are easy to understand and the programming pretty intuitive--it is about as good as it gets. The fixture is easy to mount, and sits securely on the tank. It comes with some bulbs that for freshwater purposes need to be replaced.

It is a top notch unit and for my purposes is essentially flawless. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

It is now a little over a year since the light was purchased. Two weeks ago, I noticed some problems with the LED light and two of the four Lamps. I called Aquatic Life's customer service and they were wonderful--they diagnosed the problems and promised a replacement ballast and two LEDs. Even though it was past the warranty period, they did not charge me and I received the parts in less than one week. Very impressed with them.

Very nice light. I wish it pivoted up and down so I didn't have to lift the light off of my tank all the time. The Aquaticlife bulbs that it comes with are nice, but if you really want to make your tank look awesome and give those corals the look that will impress, then go with this combo.

Some componenets inside were loose. The transformer inside and the tube end plugs were also loose. Design makes it easy to fix but should have been checked at the factory. Design and light output is very excellent.

I have had this light for a few weeks now. I have noticed a complete change in the life of my salt water tank. Bought a couple of these for my pet mice cages. Don't know why they don't seem to carry these in any stores in my area. I couldn't do without them. So much better than the covers without the little doors where you have to lift the entire lid to get into the cage! That can be especially hard if you have something in one hand. I am afraid one of my mice will leap out with the entire lid off. Not so much a concern with the trap door. The little trap door makes it so much easier/safer/convenient when I am feeding my mice, or cleaning the cage. When I am done, the trap door can easily be locked securely with one twist.

I highly recommend this item as a lid for covering aquariums.

This was the same price as a screen without the door. The door is so extremely useful. I have a water turtle that I have to feed each day and we keep two lamps on top of the screen. It was such a hassle to remove the screen each time and then make sure the filter cord was in place correctly. Now, we just lift the screen and done! Great price, as it was the same as buying without the handy door and shipping was fast. Would recommend to anyone that needs to remove the screen regularly.

I have a small 1.5 gallon Betta tank which I needed a heater for but most heaters are way too powerful for such a small tank. This heater is excellent it only raises the temperature 5 to 10 degrees which is perfect for this size tank. So in the winter when my home temperature is 68 the heater will raise the temperature at a maximum 10 degress which brings the temperature to 78. You can also bury it under the gravel so it remains hidden. Would highly recommend this heater.

I have a one gallon fish bowl and there arent really any heaters made for that size. So because this heater is made for heating tanks up to several gallons, the water temperature of bowl needs to be monitored at all times if using a bowl as small as mine. Otherwise the water will get too hot for your fish. I usually plug mine in in the morning for a bit and then take it out when the temp is around 80, and I plug it in a bit before I go to bed and unplug it for overnight.

This works well for a 3 gallon half-moon and keep it at 78 in a 72 degree room.....I read a lot of reviews on here, but never could get this information specifically,so I am putting it here for others. Fits nicely under the gravel. Fish a bit afraid, but it does the job. I also cleared a little gravel away from the top of it so it helps radiate more heat. Heavy, thick gravel may make it function a little lighter, in my opinion, but you can assemble a safe pile of gravel on top.

I purchased this heater in August of this year. I got home this evening to find the fish in our 55g aquarium acting sluggish. A peak at the thermometer shows 68 degrees F (normal temp is 79). The lights were all off on this heater. I checked to be certain it was plugged in. It was. I tried a different outlet and it came on for about 2 seconds and went back off.

I took it to the sink where I submersed it again, and then plugged it up. It came on and began heating. I let it go for about 10 minutes and it was still working. I just put it back in my aquarium and it appears to be working again. But gee what if I had not looked closely at the tank? I'm about to head out of town and don't think I can trust this thing. Arrrgghh.

My fish had a case of ick so i needed to raise my water temp to 82.My other heater wouldnt heat past 77.Ordered this heater and put it in and in 3 hrs i had 82 degree water.I am going to replace my other aquarium heaters with these in case i need to raise water temp on those some day.Yes they do vary in temp a couple degrees but that is not near enough difference to harm the fish i keep.

Good concept if heat worked more than 6 months. Bought 3 200 watt and 8 100 watt heaters all failed after 6 months of use. Breed Angels and can not depend on them. Start to flash 90 deg-water temp is really 68 will not reset even if unplugged and plugged back in. Sent 8 back to aqua-top still waiting to here back. Stick with old school ones. Had to replace all aqua-tops!!!!

Programming the temperature on here was a snap, and considering that the tank sits right next to the door that we let the dog in and out from, and we're getting into the cold part of the midwest winter the fact that the temp never deviates from that 81 degrees has made keeping the aquarium a snap. Love it.

I had mine for just under a year. I love the looks of this heater. The dual LED displays are great, and it has worked flawlessly up to today. I noticed condensation on the interior glass over the past few months. Today the heater shuts off (fuse?) after running a couple hours. I reset it by unplugging it and plugging it back in. The fish feeder works great i was a little worried because it seemed cheap and there were no reviews on it but i was very pleased. my son was in the hospital so i was barely home except in the middle of the night to grab clothes. it not super load but if your across the room you can hear it and it takes a while to get use to the unusual sound for the house.

you can set how much you want to fall out and set if you want it to go off once or twice a day. how my tank is set up i had to leave the lid open to hook it on (uses a small plastic clamp to hang on, works well) for a normal square tank i would assume it works fine being hooked on to the open back area.

I was looking for a cheap fish feeder to feed my fish while I was away for two weeks on vacation. I tested it out ahead of time (didn't want to come back to dead fish) and it worked fine. However, it was impossible to put together. Maybe I'm more challenged in life than I thought I was, but the instructions were difficult to understand, the machine was cheaply built and the whole thing just seems cheap, but then again it is, so I shouldn't be surprised, and it would be unfair to rate it down because of that.

It does the job and feeds my fish. However, it makes a weird noise when it deposits food, and it's promises of keeping the food watertight and dry don't appear to be entirely true. All that protects the food from splashing or other elements is a thin strip of plastic that doesn't even appear to close all the way.

If you're looking for a cheap feeder just to keep your fish alive for a bit while on vacation, I'd say buy this one. But if you're looking for a long-term feeder, invest in something a little more pricey.

after playing with it for awhile, i noticed it dispenses almost nothing sometimes, then an overload others. Thats after i smashed up the flakes so it would go through better too. It gets the job done i guess but i don't know if i would trust it if i was going on vacation. Food could get lodged in it and then never come out. The directions are pictures with Chinese writing so i had to figure things out on my own.

The feeder works just fine. It doesn't look too big on the side of my little ten gallon, either. You put in the batteries, press a button and the drum with fish food in it rotates to release the food out of a gap. It will release food again 24 hrs after you pressed the button. You have three adjustments to change portions that are given out each rotation.

so I ordered this just to control the amount of air being pumped into my fishbowl (if the pump was going full plast the poor little guy would be sent whriling around the bowl). It works pretty well. The knob sometimes slipps off if you turn it too far and there isnt' anything to anchor the tube to anything outside the bowl. There are several control valves and an equal number of splitters to divide the airflow to extra bowls.I'd reccomend this only if you have two fish bowls or just want to regulate the air flow to one bowl.

I installed two airstones in my tank and could not keep them from popping up and whipping around, no matter how I tried to bury the tubing. I found this product and it works great. The suction cups stick to the side of the tank well and have not popped off yet. The tubing is held in place as well as the airstones. It also comes with valve controls which are great to adjust the flow of the air through the airstones. It was inexpensive and well worth the purchase.

I've always used a nylon stocking to cover the intake of my Python brand gravel vacuum/water changer when I wasn't using it to vacuum and wanted to keep fish from getting sucked in while changing the water. The nylon is drippy after, and it doesn't look professional (I clean tanks.) While this Lee's Cleaning Claw doesn't keep small fry from getting in like the nylon stocking, it does keep regular fish from getting in and looks more professional. It also aerates the returning water a bit more when refilling the tank.

As a gravel cleaning attachment, I don't get good results with either a deep bed of Flourish or a thin bed of regular gravel, so I continue to use the tube uncovered. However, I could see that it would be a good implement for poking around the deep recesses of a heavily-planted aquarium to just get the mulm on the surface of the substrate without accidentally sucking up an unseen fish.

Tetra GloFish Aquarium Kit

I bought this tank as a replacement for a vase I had been using to house my betta fish Bartimaeus. When the tank got here it was nicely packaged and was very easy to put together. The filter current is not too strong for my betta and hums along, not too load to be annoying but a nice background noise. I love the neon light, it is very effective. The drawer under the tank is perfect for holding food and maybe another small item. My betta is very happy and swimming around contently.

The only Con i have is there is a bit of patterning on the side of the tank, almost like a rubbing, but it is only noticeable when you look really close, and once filled with water you cannot see it at all.

My only note is do not be deceived by the pictures, a 1.5 gallon tank is just big enough for one betta but not much else will fit in here. The advice is one inch of fish for one gallon of water. Also goldfish need about 10 gallons per fish.

I just got this tank having looked all over for the "right" basic betta tank. This one won. I like the tank as it is easy to see the betta with the bow front. The lid is extremely basic and has cut outs for feeding, heater and filter which is nice. The light is fun though I wish it had an an option for white day light rather than just the (24watt)blue glow light. It has lots of floor space for decorations. The filter is a Tetra Whisper internal filter which takes the regular whisper filters.

all in all a good product.

I bought this at walmart, probably for a little less. I haven't had problems sometimes people complain about the blue LEDs dying out mine are fine but it probably could be closer to the center of the tank, it is a little loose when putting it all the way up. It is not a big aquarium and actually in truth it is too small for pretty much any fish but it has served me well until I decide to upgrade to a larger tank for glofish, probably a good tank for a desk or student. Filter also kind of small, doesn't create any degree of water flow really but I suppose it works well enough. There is a little storage bin in the bottom of mine and the one shown but there are some without, its a near idea but kind of too small to store much, I just use it at the moment to store small, extra glow in the dark decorations.

If you want all of your fish to die I highly recommend this tank. Every day you will wake up to another glowing casualty. The air filter of death will suck the larger fish underneath it and they can't escape. If they do escape they are paralyzed and flip around twitching and suffering until their inevitable death. The smaller glofish get sucked up behind the filter where they are trapped and smashed. If you try to save them they will be crushed when you remove the filter. It's quite the massacre.

I had to put 8 drops of this in my betta's tank since he's in a one gallon and the direction says 1 drop per 16 oz. This does work, but the only thing is the water does turn blue. It doesn't look bad, just odd. My betta doesn't seem to have a problem with it and is acting normal despite the color.

I had some translucent white issue (I think was parasites) that I couldn't get rid of with one of my betta fish. I tried aquarium salt & it helped, but didn't get rid of it...this medication did. I would definitely use again, didn't harm any of my fish in any way.

I usually never write reviews but based on how much this impressed me when I first turned it on and the fact that there are almost no reviews for this light anywhere on the net, I decided to write one. I have a 10 gallon reef tank and until now, never had good lighting for it. So, I have been researching a lot the past couple of months on different lighting because I am starting to add more and more corals to my setup. Man is this light bright and very beautiful. The strip of white LEDs with the strip of blue LEDs brings out a lot of color on my fish and corals...especially my star polyps.

I have uploaded some pics that I took with my zoom. I was hesitant at first because the pics just don't do it justice.

Granted I just received this light today, but I would recommend this light to anyone with a small reef tank.

I will add some notes in few weeks to see how my fish and corals react. I am also very interested to see if my green bubble tip anemone will react positively to it too!

Satisfied with the light for the price although a bit more blue than I had expected.

Pros 1.) affordable 2.) LED

Cons 1.) the adjustable "legs" that the light sits on are notably cheap and did not fit my 30 gal. cube aquarium (19" but I had hoped there would be an adequate range of adjustment in the light. 2.) the power cord is SHORT. I can't picture the advantage of such a short cord and it did not really work for my set up.

Overall as long as the two cons don't worry you this would be a good buy for the price.

Great constuction and pricing. Similar set-ups online require piecing together the lights, ballast, and switch. That alone will run you $120+.

The aquarium (Fluval Spec V) looks great under the new lighting. The corals seem to be taking to the light, but there has been an adaption period. The stock light wasn't too bright, so transitioning to this beauty was a shock.

Very impressed with the sleek look and construction. A steal for the price.

I bought this light to put on a 10 gallon nano reef that I am setting up. This thing is great. I put it on the tank and couldn't believe how bright it was. It lights up my entire living room. I don't think there will be any issues with putting coral in this tank. There are tons of LEDs in this fixture. It feels like a really solid fixture, not flimsy like some reviews of other LED fixtures that I have read.

There are a few things that I am a little disappointed with, but this is more my preference and nothing to do with the light. First, it doesn't come in a 20" model. The 18" works great on my tank, but it rests on the hood instead of on the tank. For most people this is probably not an issue, but I would rather something that fir the tank. Second, I would prefer to be able to control the whites and the blues seperately. Again, this is not a deal breaker and for the price, it is excellent.

I have only had it for about a week and I am happy with it. I will try to update this post after I have had it for a little longer.

I have been very pleased with this light. I bought it for my 29 gallon tall saltwater reef tank. I have had it a few months and everything is thriving. I was concerned that I may need 4 bulbs to grow corals but due to the individual reflectors on this light 2 bulbs has been adequate so far. I asked the local fish store about this light and it is the same one that they use in their frag tanks. 2 bulbs is probably good enough to grow 75% or more of corals. I have green star polyps, candy cane corals and devil's leather that are all doing well. It also looks sleek, doesn't get hot and is easy to move around to clean the tank. I initially purchased a coral life fixture and immediately returned it. It couldn't even compare to the amount of light put out by the individual reflectors. The aquatic life fixture also seems to be made of higher quality materials (metal housing, less plastic.)

I bought this light fixture as a starter light for my 29 gallon saltwater reef tank. I liked that it has the option to expand up to 6 bulbs by connecting the lights and that each bulb bas its own reflector. So far the light has been working well, but I only have a couple of fish in there at the moment, no corals. I planned to expand the light if I move to a coral tank.

The light and bulbs arrived intact; no shipping problems for me, but I have heard that this has been an issue for others.

The reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that there were no assembly instructions included in the box. The box said that there was a CD enclosed that had assembly and maintenance instructions, but I did not have this. I had to figure out how to put everything together by looking at the picture and doing some trial and error. You will need a screwdriver to assemble this light and change the blubs. You have to unscrew the panel at the opposite end of the switch to access the blubs and to slide the acrylic splash guard in place, and you have to further unscrew an additional metal piece under that panel in order to slide the connectors for the stand legs. I did not realize this until I had screwed everything back in place after assembling the bulbs and was pretty frustrated. There may be directions online, but I did not have internet access at the time and was too impatient to wait.

PRO'S: Expandable, cost effective, adjustable leg span, individual reflectors, sturdy.

CON'S: initial set up is not user friendly, nor is it simple to change bulbs or add another fixture. The bulbs that are included with the fixture are also not very high quality and should be switched out for better ones if you are trying to grow corals.

I have this over my 56 gal column...about 23" to the substrate. My plants are flourishing (I do use a fert every other day or so). I am considering another just to have better coverage of the front and back of tank, but I don't think this is necessary...just me being picky. Note that it doesn't take 30" bulbs as it is not a common size...although available.

Exotic Environments Incan Vase Aquarium Ornament, Large

Lot a bigger than I had expected but fit perfectly in my 7.5 gallon aquarium and I still have room for a couple decorative plants. My Betta loves to swim in and out of the holes as well as hide inside this vase.

I have to say, it's okay. I am not sure that I would have bought it for the price if I found it in the store. The edges & openings are very Sharp. I can file them smooth so not really a big issue. Other than that no complaints on the ornament, I am not super happy with the item.
