It's a little difficult to get very excited about a chlorine eliminator, unless you're a fish, I suppose. This stuff works exactly as one might expect it to. No problems so far and don't have any reason to think there will be. Just follow the directions and it'll be fine.
This pump met our expectations and did the job. The only issue was that it shipped to an area of our complex that isn't open on Fridays and was shipped back to the Vendor. I had to order again with a different address to accomodate our four day week. Second times the charm, it is now installed and also like a charm!
I bought this after upgrading my sump pump and with the increased flow, it created microbubbles and it filled in the gap. Not only did stop the bubbles but helps with filtration.

This is a great filter that cleaned up my overpopulated 20 gal. tank overnight. The water went from murky to crystal clear and colorless in just hours. I had used two different hang-on-the-side power filters that would get clogged in 2 days and couldn't keep the water clear. Set-up of the Filstar was easy and full of options. Cleaning, when the flow rate does goes down, has also been a snap. It also runs very quietly. I highly recommend it.

I purchased this filter from Big Al's at about the same prize as Amazon had it. It is for one of my turtle tanks, two sliders on a 40 gallon breeder with about 12 gallon total volume. After a fairly easy initial set-up (you'll have to grease the hoses with vaseline for them to go in all the way) and priming following detailed instructions (the canister is currently located at the same level as the aquarium water, making it a bit tricky to completely fill in the canister compartments), I noticed at times a gargling noise, the canister was taking micro-bubbles. Upon further inspection I noticed a small leak from the electric line outlet at the motor housing. I thought maybe I got a Dud, however, instead of returning or calling for technical support, I decided to fill in around the cable with some of my aquarium safe silicon and ...vuala, the leak was corrected as well as the noise. Now what I have is a very powerful filter (it cleaned my turtle tank in a matter of minutes), crystal clear water, nice outflow through a spraybar outlet and it's even quieter than my eheim eccho. So quiet you can barely hear a faint huming...If I didn't see the spray bar outflow, I would have to put my ear on it, or touch it to feel the vibration and see if it's working. I also disconected the tubing valve, for a test maintenance rehearsal to know that it will be very easy to do so when required. Also you don't have to prime again since the hoses seal once you separate the tubing valve from the canister motor compartment. Just lift the level, a clean, easy and dry operation. Clean-up will be a breeze. Overall I'm very satisfied with this baby, I would have given it a 5 star ratings if it wasn't for the the initial water/air leak described above (maybe a manufacturing defect on my unit). I would remommend this to a friend and I would certainly buy again. I'll have to monitor long term performance, but so far, I'm satisfied with this product. I have used differen canister filters in the past for my fresh water 55 gal aquarium. Fluval and Marineland. So far this one is my favorite. It runs so quiet compared to the other ones I cannot hear it at all. The only problem I had was trying to fit the hose into the tubing. It is quite a task. I have a 20 gallon turtle tank and it has been SPOTLESS every since I bought this product on July 10th, 2012. The filter is a bit difficult to assemble but it is totally worth it. (there are also tutorials on youtube to help you assemble it step by step) The tubes are a bit tight fitting so MAKE SURE you use some olive oil, veggie oil, or vaseline so they slide on easier. The filter is super silent and the pressure of the water coming out of can be turned up for even more cleaning power or tuned down for silence while you sleep. Hand down best turtle filter I have ever owned. There is not one speck of algae, food, or poop on the floor. Totally worth the money. This has made owning a turtle the easiest task on the planet. I plan to move up to a bigger size tank because I know this filter can handle it. I LOVE IT. Highly recommend this filter to anyone with a turtle tank under 45 gallons.

Arrived very quickly, and as described. The only problem was that the package was squished, but nothing was damaged, so no other problems.
I probably have more of an issue with the filter it goes into (the XP3); I have 3 filter pads at the bottom, stars in the middle, and a micro filration pad at the top with zorb stuff, but I still have large pieces of debris floating around the tank at times, and if it is stopped and restarted, a bunch of debris will come flying out of the output jets, so I'm not exactly sure what that's all about...

These filters work as described. Your fish make waste, that waste makes it into the micro-filtration pads. You remove the pads, rinse and repeat.
I have a marine aquarium and feed this food to the fish three times a week. It's a good all around food, the corals like it too! It comes in a small enough container I don't worry about it going stale.

Please listen to these reviews, I know I should of did before purchased this cheap crap. My fish almost died using this heater. Where do I start? When I first put the heater in my tank it had my water temp bouncing from 7580. I prever my temp 78-80. It doesn't have a temp reading on the knob so you wouldn't know what your setting the temp at. I just turned the temp all the way up after I've had to guess which way it was, and it only kept my tank at the highest 80. Like I said it had temp swings in my tank. Gladly my fish didn't get stressed over that. So it been about a month now and yesterday when I walked in the room to turn my fish tank lights on. The temp said 72 degrees on my tank thermostat. I had a fit and was worried about my fish. I drove to the nearest lfs and bought a heater.Thats what I get trying to be cheap, like they say you get what you pay for. Don't be cheap, spend a extra15 -20 dollars and buy a good heater. The heater I bought from my lfs is doing the job, but I just ordered a fluval 200 watt for my 40 gallon. I heard a lot of good reviews about it.

I own a 75 gallon saltwater fish only aquarium (undulated trigger, clown, porcupine puffer, hippo tang, naso tang, 4 different damsels, 6 hermit crabs (the fish are all small except the 2 tangs). Currently running the Fluval G6, Seaclone skimmer and 36 watt Coral Twist UV. I had a large wet/dry system previously but found it to be too loud and mechanical filtration inadequate. The G6 is completely quiet and mechanical filtration is excellent. I also find the electronics to be very useful it keeps me on par with maintenance and monitoring of water parameters. The best is when it comes to cleaning the filter and changing the charcoal it is simple and not messy at all. It is plumbed into my UV and runs great. It is very expensive but does an excellent job and most important I have not lost any fish and they visibly are growing and with vibrant color and very actiive. Excellent product. Update: almost 2 years and still running great!

I purchased the G-6 several weeks ago to replace 2 Fluval 404's on a 50 gallon heavily stocked and planted fresh water aquarium. Before the filter arrived, I downloaded and printed both the Quick Start and Full Owner's Manual so as to familiarize myself with the filter. When the filter came we decided to set it up in front of the cabinet and allow it to come up to speed biologically before we started weaning off the 404's. The filter was within between the minimum 20 inches below the top of the tank, and not more that the maximum of 49.6 inches. My husband was up all night trying to get the filter not to leak. We had a pretty wet carpet. He "re-did" it all at least 20 times before giving up. I took over the next morning and focused on carefully re-fitting the red gasket until the leaking problem was solved. I could not get it to pump, however. I primed it until my fingers hurt and while it would start pumping at 100% flow rate, within seconds the flow rate declined to zero as it sucked in air. I checked all the fittings and finally called Fluval. The lady I spoke to was very pleasant and was convinced the problem lie in the fact that the hoses did not come straight down into the filter, but sloped down at about a 45 degree angle due to the fact we had it in front of the cabinet. Since there were no curls or kinks, I really did not understand how the gravity feed would be interrupted, but we cut them down and put the filter into the cabinet. The filter still sucked in air and we spent the rest of the evening twisting and tightening until finally my husband apparently gave it the magic twist and the flow rate jumped up to 100%. Since then it has been working fine. I am a bit leery about cleaning the pre-filter since the hoses will have to be detached so the filter can be brought forward and I am concerned that my husband's "magic fix" might come undone. That is why I will review this filter again in about 6 months. I initially give it 4 stars instead of 5 because of our problems. I didn't want to go fewer stars because Fluval was courteous and helpful and I am convinced had I called them back they would have worked to resolve our issues. Time will tell if our initial experience is a fluke, and if it isn't how far Fluval will go to make it right. Hopefully the next review will be 5 stars. I've had all sorts of filters for different-sized freshwater tanks. The Fluval G6 has a few issues, yes, but it's the most convenient and easiest-to-clean filter I've ever used. My G6 has been running on a 50-gallon freshwater tank for 3 years and, despite the price, I'd buy it again without pause.
After purchasing this probe, I found others (for the same price) that already have a "plug" on the end. This one is designed to be attached directly to the wall outlet's grounding screw. I have two problems with that... first, you can't just take it out because it's attached to the wall outlet. You'll have to at least use a screwdriver to remove it (providing your outlets face plate has the grounding screw). If not, you'll have to remove the face plate and then remove the ground. Second, I can't get to my wall outlet. I have two power strips running from the outlet (which is behind the middle of my tank and cannot be reached) into the aquarium stand. To make this work, I had to buy a replacement male plug to mount the probe wire to, so I could plug it into one of the power strips. I removed the two main prongs and left the ground prong(on the new replacement plug end). Then, to keep the plug stable, I glued a child proof outlet adapter to the plug to replace the two metal prongs that I removed. I basically had to make this probe to be like the other brand that already has all this which wound up costing a little more and wasted a bit of time. Next time I'll just buy the one that has a plug on the end. If you don't mind doing all that, then this probe is fine. The only way I could justify purchasing this one again would be if this one was on clearance at a really good price but at $15. You can get a finished product.

I ordered four, since I have four tanks. The end that goes into the electrical "ground" has a little metal hoop that you're supposed to put in the electrical outlet. You unscrew the plate, insert the hoop over the center screw that goes into the ground, and simply screw it back in. Simple, right? But since all of my tanks are already established, it was not possible to reach the outlet for three of them. I really didn't want to drain my 75 gallon tank in order to make it light enough to move away from the wall in order to reach the outlet. So off we went to Lowes where a very helpful associate came up with a plan that wouldn't a) electrocute us or the fish and b) wouldn't burn the house down. We purchased 3 3-prong plugs . You unscrew the prongs from the plastic cover, feed the ground probe wire through the hole where the cord normally goes, insert it onto the ground, put it back together, and in the case of my overly cautious husband, wrap the probe wire/end of the plug with lots of electrical tape because the probe wire is very thin and the hole is large enough for a thicker diameter heavy duty extension cord. Plug it into the surge protector and it works perfectly. We tested the tanks before and after with an analog multimeter and the Titanium Ground Probes removed all voltage in the water. This plant is nice enough, but I didn't think it was all that realistic looking. It tends to have a back and a front to it, so it matters how you put it in the tank. It's taller than the other fake plants, and has plenty of leaves.I like the look of "silk" plants and the leaves and colors on this are no exception; however, I hate how obviously fake it looks because of its plastic stems and "veins". I also have problems getting them to stand up. They just lean over while under water.I really liked the way this plant looked when I got it, it looks great in the water and moves around like a real plant would. This one is my favorite of the 3 vibran plants that I ordered. I am disappointed because it has stained a lot. I've tried cleaning it, to no avail. I've read that you shouldn't use bleach to clean anything that will go back in an aquarium so it seems that there aren't too many other options. Nice looking plant if you can figure out a way to clean it.
Just as good as any other plastic plant except that some of the leaves had little tears in them. When I pulled at them, they didn't rip, so it didn't seem dangerous, but I also can't imagine it was designed like that. Manufacturing error? The base makes the plant sink which is great since my turtle likes to push his plants around how he likes.
On any petshop they sell this for a lot more than this price, I've used for 2 weeks now and I can't find any difference betweem the ones I bought on a local petshop and this. Feels like a very good product and I just needed 3 or 4 so if it stops being transparent I still have a lot of other suction cups to replace them. Awesome

This artificial plant was nicely packaged and delivered on time. This plant has a very nice green color and looks good in my aquarium. It flows well with the current and has a nice large footprint so smaller fish can use it for shelter when they feel the need. This is a nice plant that draws comments from most that look at the aquarium. Well worth the cost and I'd recommend for your home aquarium!
Some aquarium forums suggested using 2, 13 watt compact florescent bulbs in this fixture for a planted 10 gal tank. It functioned nicely with one exception. As the bulbs heated the plastic housing, it emitted a strong plastic smell that was not pleasant. Plants grew nicely in the aquarium but the smell did not diminish over time. I discarded this light and replaced it with an Aqueon single t8 florescent strip light. some of my plants did not survive the lower wattage light so I had to switch to low light plants. In retrospect this light and the plants with higher lighting requirements ended up being a waste of money. I would not recommend this product for use with compact florescent bulbs over a planted aquarium. Please note the fixture is designed to use low watt incandescent bulbs and woks well with them (no smell). Unfortunately you can not grow live plants under the incandescent bulbs.

These striplights to hold the old fashioned bulbs are beginning to fade away and become hard to find, but they're absolutely perfect to use with a pair of five dollar at walmart compact flourescent bulbs from the fish dept. Not only that, the bulbs at Walmart while cheap are an excellent color temperature that I would call "Daylight Plus" it's a pure clean full spectrum white that's a significantly higher color temperature than your average "Daylight" bulb. So, ten bucks for the striplight, ten bucks for the bulbs and I have a light that's wicked awesome for my little planted Tetra tank, and would be equally wicked awesome for a saltwater or even a ten gallon micro-reef tank, those cheap Wal-mart bulbs are that good, and this fixture should be gaining popularity, not loosing, this setup eliminates the ballast and starter that fails in a 20" Flourescent strip-light, it's all in the bulb, and a bulb is only five bucks, not twenty like some stores get for a 20" tube flourescent bulb. I would recommend this to anyone considering this lighting setup. For a small ten gallon reef, I would use two striplights and four bulbs, 40 bucks for a reef lighting system TOTAL, in fact I've been waiting intending to do just that. I suggest using two 7 watt (40 watt equivalent) CFL daylight bulbs (Lowes, Utilitech, Medium Base Daylight 6500K bulbs, $9.02 each, Item # 7741, Model # LBP7T10) for this fixture. THEY WILL NOT CAUSE ANY PLASTIC SMELL (one reviewer tried 13 watt CFL bulbs and experienced this --I'm going to try it with a 13 watt Micro CFL and will post the results). I've been using the 7 watt CFL setup for over a year on three different aquariums --the original bulbs are still working, and most importantly, the plants are still growing. You need to know your lighting requirements --for a small aquarium (i.e., 10 gallon) this will produce a lot of light and you can grow more types of plants. For larger, deeper aquariums, this setup will work fine with plants requiring low light --i.e., Java Ferns, Java Moss, Anubias, etc.. This is NOT a full hood fixture it makes a nice replacement (or supplement it's small, and will fit in front or behind my fluorescent fixture. You can also do what I did for two bow front aquariums buy hood hinges (plastic strips available on Amazon), make a template leaving room for pumps, heater cords, etc. and have a local glass shop custom cut plate glass (cheap) to cover the aquarium as this fixture CAN'T be used directly over water. Research your plants and their lighting requirements there is no reason to leave a bad review when you buy a product that is inexpensive and does what it is supposed to do. I do blame the company for recommending incandescent bulbs they don't work as well as a good CFL T-10 tube.
