I actually suctioned this sideways at one end of my betta's tank and turned the leaves a certain way so that they look like little hammocks. She loves sitting on the leaves this way. I also have a betta leaf in the tank, but she prefers to lay on this plant.

As a plant it is just so-so. My betta has not hurt itself on it and liked to rest on the leaves but what bumped me from 3 stars to 4 is the suction cup base. Even if the tank gets bumped or the rocks move that plant is staying put. And to clean it the plant pulls out of the base-but i still usually just pull the whole thing up.

This plastic plant is pretty small but works great for our Beta. Since it has a suction cup, I hung the plant on the side of the tank so that the leaves can serve as little places for our Beta to rest. It looks great in the tank with our other plants.

i bought it originally for my other betta Larry as an alternative the Zoo Med hammock...i stuck it to the side of the tank. He slept in his tree next to it. Its kinda flimsy. Larry has since passed and my new betta, Fish Sticks, doesn't even go near it...he hangs in the feather trees next to it as well lol. Maybe it'll look better if it's used correctly, in the upright lol

Product fits different brand filters, so it works nicely as a replacement when you cannot get all the gunk out of your existing tubes. This product is louder than original tubes, though.

New filter tube much longer than original which was a big plus for me. Found the impeller somewhat noisy though.

My whisper aquarium filter was less than whisper quiet it was making an annoying hum/rattle so I figured it was time to replace the impeller. I'm very glad I did! My flter is running almost silently again for less than half the cost of a new unit. The tube is only needed if yours is damaged or you want extra extensions. The impeller is all thats needed if yours is worn and humming.

IVS Portal 4" Aquarium Viewer

Pros:

Nice to see the details with the portal viewer

It can be used to clean some algae off the tank

Seems to be well built

Cons:

Not that great as cleaning magnet

Has a limited range to view close ups, but I've read they're working on or already have another lens to view objects further from the original lens.

Summary:

I got the portal viewer to see close ups of SPS coral in my tank and that's exactly what this does. The range of view is somewhere around 16" for a nice clear image. Any further and it gets blurry. A little over priced for what it does, but it does it's job. Great way to inspect coral for any pests.

We love the portal and use it all the time to look at things in our saltwater reef tank. It is also helpful in finding pests like glass anemones. We don't use it as a glass cleaner and prefer our other tools for that. A definite "must have" for enjoying your reef tank.

I have a 60 gallon acrylic reef tank and the Portal works great to show off the awesome detail in the coral and makes new growth easy to identify. Not the best as a tank cleaner but holds well to tank and rounds corners easily. If you have a reef tank this is a no brainer.

I have two large aquariums 1 x 160gal & 1 x 265gal with the best filtration you can buy, Eheim2250 and FluvalFX5 and additional internal filters. I keep South American cichlids in one tank and Asian breeds in the other. I was always frustrated that I could not eliminate completly the cloudiness in the water no matter what I tried. I read about ChemiPure Elite on Amazon and bought 10 packs to try Chemi-Pure Elite Aquarium Filter Media 11.74 oz. This product is truly amazing and I mean amazing after only 36hours using the manufacturers directions I had crystal clear water. Crystal Blue Clear So clear it has made a difference how my fish look under lighting. My friends have been amazed at the difference and another friend is already using it. I've used Chemi-Pure in a number of different filters and have always had amazing results. I've kept agressive chiclids, African chiclids, and marine fish and live rock tanks using Chemi-Pure. My water always tested very well.

If you've never used Chemi-Pure before, you need to determine how many bags you need. I had a Marineland Magnum canister that required 2 bags to fill the carbon canister (it was a tight fit though).

I am a huge fan of using multiple filters with different filter media in them. This enables you to clean one out while leaving the other one undisturbed so as not to harm the good bacteria the tank needs. No matter how good your chemical media is, you need to stock properly, feed judiciously, and perform your tank maintenance. Chemi-Pure is good, but it won't make up for neglect.

I love this stuff, at least as much as you can love bags of charcoal and ion exchange resins. I'd only suggest it if you have a canister filter. I use an Eheim 2211 and it works great.

I bought this because it absorbs nitrates and phosphates. I don't want to mess with live plants. I have a 10 gallon with three fish at about 70% bioload. My nitrates stay at a constant 10 ppm. They don't go up, they don't go down. I've had my aquarium up and running for a few months and still haven't had to do a water change. Apparently, I should only have to change this once every six months.

I'll never go back to just activated carbon again.

YML Aquarium Net Breeder, Medium

I love the the size and every thing seems to fit well enough. Although there were no instruction and nothing to go by. So I had to go on the internet to see what it should look like also one of the suction cups were broken. I mght by another one if it holds up.

Update: my original 4 stars is now 2 because it does not hold any fry which it was bought for and the suction cups do not work in the end I had to throw it away.

This guppy breeding net was horrible. It was way to big for my tank, it was a flimsy little piece of junk, and it sucked. It didn't even come with insructions of how to put it together! The frame was flimsy, and broke very easily. The pegs that hold it together were wierd shaped and didn't fit in the holes very well. The actual net was pretty much just a hairnet. The only thing it actually did was keep the bigger fish away from the guppy. I would NOT reccomend this product.

At first glance, the product looks pretty neat. Some may say that its size is too small, but 10.3 inches is 10.3 inches. So no cribs on that. However, the net is of extremely poor quality and had started ripping off the bottom seams when I received it. In case you want to use this breeder net, I recommend that you glue the bottom seams (with silicon sealant)to the plastic base after you slip the net on. The other problem is with the suction cups. They fit loosely into the slots provided. It is better to apply some silicon glue to the suction cup slots once you have placed the suction cups. So in case you still decide to purchase this product, make sure that you do have some silicon glue on hand.

This is a descent size breeder net. I Have African Cichlids up to 5" long and these nets work well.

There are a few little things that could be better, but I was able to rig it up easily enough.

The suction cups that hold it up are facing up, so the net needs to be hung from the tank lid.

Not very practical, so I had to hot glue different cups that would hold the net to the side of the tank instead.

Now they work perfect, they hold the Momma fish until the she spits her fry, then it lets the fry grow in safety.

I've tried others and they were either to small or nothing would keep them near the surface of the tank. So for

the money and a minor adjustment this will do the job.

This net is a lot bigger than I thought it was, however it fits nicely inside my 20 gallon tank and I can see the rest of the tank plus the babies within the netting. The only downfall I have with this set up is that it collects dirt and debris from the tank and gets stuck in the netting and is nearly impossible to get out and clean it back to the orgional state, and the suction cups have a tendency to get worn and not hold anymore after a while. It does work for its purpose however, as I have managed to successfully raise 17 different batches of Guppy babies in it thus far.

I was hoping for fake fish that varied slightly in weight, that would float at different levels in the aquarium. These all float at the top. It might have been packaged better, too. 1 fish was fine. The other two did not have the fins attached. One could be re-attached, the other went in the trash.

If you are looking for replacement fish that bob around in fake aquariums these are it. After much looking and buying the wrong thing I took a chance on these.

Happily these are the same fish in the fake aquariums.

I received these fish yesterday and I must say that I am really disappointed with the way they look. The eyes are just black dots and they are solid orange and there is no color variation like the picture online. Sad, because I was really excited about receiving these because of the online picture. I will still use them, but really happy I purchased other colorful fish for my project.

After reading the reviews on these I ordered two sets as so many said one was broken when it arrived. Mine were all fine. I got these for a small fountain and when I put them in the water the flow of water would cause them to bunch together. I got out some nickels, fish line and hot glue gun. Cut the lines and glue one end to a fish one to a nickel. They look really good in my fountain, hard to tell they are not real at first glance. Being that the line is about five to six inch in lenght they still swim around a little but do not bunch up.

Package contained just 2 1/2 fish upon arrival. Only 1 side of third fish. They floated on top far about a day then sank to the bottom to stay. Now they lay there and collect other fish. Very dissapointing.

This is a cute clam that bubbles flow out of it's mouth. It opens and closes which is cute. The thing that is bugging me about this clam, is the noise. At first i didn't notice it, but my aquarium is in the living room so all i can hear now is the clam bubbling. The bubbles are big too, that's what makes such a noise and it really rocks the water. But it is cute, i just didn't expect such loud & big bubbles. Also you can hear the clam closing sometimes (depending on how you have it positioned). I've order a new air stone, so i can't hear bubbles.

I bought this clam because I thought it was cute and would make a great addition to my 55 gallon setup. I mainly liked the fact that it is supposed to open and close with bubbles coming out. When it arrived I hooked it up and it did not open and close like its supposed too. It stayed closed the whole time which made the bubbles come out of the side instead of the front. I sent it back for a refund as it did not work correctly. Tried it on two different air pumps, one of which was brand new. Still did not work. Do not recommend this product at all!

I realize that this thermometer is made of glass and should be treated with care, however, this product is downright fragile. I wanted to secure the thermometer on the inside wall of the tank that faces away from my windows. As I pushed the suction cup against the glass the bottom of the thermometer touched the aquarium window and shattered. It was not a large impact in anyway because the only sound I heard was the clinking of the ball bearings as they fell to the bottom of my tank.
