Eheim Filter Pad Set work to keep my 180 gal turtle aquarium clean. The produce fits into the filter baskets as original. They are easy to rinse and reuse a time or two if need be. I have owned this filter for almost 15 years and with proper cleaning and a few minor seals that had to be replaced because the filter was disassembled and moved. I recommend this product for direct replacement for the Eheim 2226/28

To me the ehiem 2026 is the best filter, these are the pads for it. Change the white 1 month rinse the blue next month change both. Thats 2 months worth in the box. Oh and good luck finding a lower price.

I was looking for something for my live breeder babies to hide in. This grass worked great. It stats weighed down but my river rock and looks great. I was expecting them to be slightly larger, there are 3 pieces, aproxamatly 2x3 inches. The mat can be put together many ways or completely seppqarated. Great look for a cheap price, i may order another.

I purchased this product at a local fish store and have used it for over 1 year. I first placed these grass mats in a tank with several Tiger Barbs and Black Kuhli Loaches. Before adding the grass mats my Loaches were extremely shy and hardly ever visible in my tank despite having subdued lighting. After adding the grass mats my Loaches came to life. They thoroughly enjoy weaving their eel-like bodies in and out of the blades of grass as they "play." These grass mats have given them confidence to come out and play and allow them to be more easily viewed while they are "hiding."

The grass mats are also a good substrate for algae growth and many of my algae eaters attach themselves to the blades to eat the green algae. In a well established aquarium these mats will grow a dark green algae that adds a nice contrast to the tank and makes it more realistic looking.

It is important to remove these grass mats when you do gravel vacuuming since they do tend to promote the build up of pockets of debris within the gravel. After removing the grass mats they are very simple to "re-install." I usually clear away some gravel from the area I intend to place the mats and set them down while dropping handfuls of gravel over the mat to help weigh it down. If you disturb the gravel over the grass mat it will settle and the blades will become visible again.

All in all, these grass mats are a beautiful addition to any aquarium and are thoroughly enjoyed by many types of fish.

I needed more places for the babies to hide when my platties gave birth. So far they have managed to not become food for the other fish. Some of the leaves were detached when I received it but they easily go back on. The plastic didn't seem to have sharp edges. I separated it into three pieces. I really liked the way it looked in the tank so I purchased another one.

It was a chore getting this grass to stay down in the tank, but finally managed to use a few sprigs of it. If you purchase it, leave it is large of a section as you can, put it down first, then dump your rocks/sand on top of it and pull it up to height. Also, the sprigs were not as "soft" as I was hoping. No motion underwater.

This is a very cute and functional fish tank, but it really needs a light. I have looked on Amazon and can't find a coordinating light. That is my only problem with it, otherwise a great product.

I had a smaller fish bowl for a pair of gold fish and needed a larger tank then after they grew. I found that the fish liked the toys and are happier swimming in a larger space. The fish also enjoyed looking out view of the zoom view as they ate fish food. The Finding Nemo graphics are what the fish likes as they swim around in the pool of water.

We are having problems with this one. Not sure why. It got us through the winter though. I am not sure why it is intermittent. I thought it was because I submersed it...but I see that it is supposed to be submersible. Still, the fish live and winter is over, so it is a pass.

From the description and pictures, I wasn't 100% certain what to expect. When it arrived, I thought the box was empty it was so light. Unfortunately, the box was not sealed well and the contents had come out of it, but the light worked well none the less. I was previously using a standard T-5 bulb light fixture, until the ballast broke and needed replacing. I was going to get the same one until I saw this one. I loved the idea of having something that didn't heat up as much as my previous ballast, was lighter, and had an evening setting. I was expecting some form of Christmas lights or mini bulbs in the ballast, but it's not (I really can't explain how the light works).

My fish tank hangs on the wall like a picture frame, so it is has vertical depth (more than 2-ft) and yet it is skinny, with only 4" of width available for a light. This one fit beautifully and lights up the tank very well.

My husband recognized the ballast and immediately got excited. He saw it on TV for "new inventions" and this was considered new technology. The white light is almost blinding compared to the old T-5. Even the blue lights make the tank glow bright blue. The fish seem happy with it.

The only unfortunate thing about this technology is that when the lights fail, you have to replace the whole ballast. I just hope it has a good life expectancy in the end. Until then, I'm pretty happy.

Just received this as a replacement for my old fluorescent tube light. It's slightly brighter and whiter than my old light, but looks nice. I am hoping it quickly replenishes my algae growth for my two hungry plecostomi. The moon light function is pretty much useless by itself, but adds a little richer color to the full on mode. The moon light is simply a few blue leds. It looks nice, but not natural. Good for a bar area setup. Giving it 5 stars for quality, aesthetics and value.

I like this light for reefs on a budget reason its not great is there is no shimmer effect in my 40 gallon salt water breeder & there is a dead spot in the middle showing with the moonlight (only)on as there are 2 seprate panels that meet in the middle its brightness is perefect put it could use 4 more blue leds with the white leds on for just a slight difference in daytime color BUT ill keep it just for the fact its slighty cheaper than buying 2-36" flurorecent ballasts & bulbs

I bought this LED light to replace my fresh water tank T5's and so far the lumens are nice. The build quality is good...and the only bad thing I have to say about this light is the following:

1) LED's have no individual lens, so the light output is sorta spread out a bit.

2) No separate power cord for the blue and the white light. There is separate switch but same cord, so it is impossible to put them on a timer.

Well, I'm here to tell you right now... this thing is loud. For some reason, the bubbles it expels aren't of the "calm, soothing" variety. They're aggressively noisy. I'm not even sure why that is, but I do know that this filter didn't last two days before I'd had enough and chucked it into the garbage.

Ordered this light for a 5 gallon Marineland corner aquarium.

Pro: The light is a nice color that accentuated the colors of my fish and decorations.

Con: Very short life span. I had this light for five months and used it about twice a week for a couple hours (my aquarium gets sunlight most days). It has already burned out. I'm pretty upset that it lasted such a short time, especially because of its cost.

The original light that came with the aquarium lasted a few years, so I'm not sure why the same company didn't provide equal quality for their replacements.

I bought this item because I was going on vacation and wanted to spare my relatives the bother of feeding my fish. I liked the fact that this feeder has a large hopper which will allow me to feed the fish for the extended period I am away. Given its size and the number of feedings I have programmed, I expect I could be gone a month and not run out of food. (I have a 39 gal. tank with about a dozen fish.)

In any case I got it early and set it up on my tank to make sure it would work properly and therefore tried it out for about 3-4 weeks before I went on vacation. It seems to work as advertized. The only problem I encountered was that the hopper extending into the tank tended to fog up with the tank hood completely closed. When it fogged up, the food got stuck to the hopper and as time went by it totally clogged up. I solved the problem by propping the tank hood open about 3/4 of an inch, which allows the vapor to escape the tank and so now it does not fog up. Again testing it for about 2 weeks in this mode it seemed to work fine and the food did not stick to the hopper. I am now on vacation and only time will tell if the fish feeder did its job. Hopefully I'll return to well fed and thriving fish.

I used this product to feed a 10 pound cat dry food morsels. I used the feeder for exactly 1 year (before the cat died). My cat was an obsessive eater. She would make our lives miserable by begging, rather attacking us for food; waking us up 4 hours before breakfast and purposefully ruining anything we were doing 2 hours or more before dinnertime. We had tried two other automatic feeders during the previous 10 years and she had broken into the two other automatic cat food dishes in no time (one she broke into within minutes). She did not thwart this feeder, she really only tried twice to break into it but gave up fairly quickly and never tried again. I had purchased the chute, which is an accessory, which may or may not have been needed to thwart her attempts. The feeder, itself is much smaller than the pictures reveal, which is a good thing.

I had the one hopper (it comes with) and purchased one additional "hopper extension." So, my feeder had a total of two square plastic "hopper" pieces. With the hopper and one hopper extension, I only had to fill the feeder up once a week, which was an unexpected liberating bonus. It was incredibly nice not to worry about twice-a-day feedings or even filling up the feeder daily (unless the power went out).

Generally, a problem with any hopper style feeder is you can only put one type of food in the machine, so they are eating only one flavor/brand all week. (We tried layering foods, but each food was different in size, so that did not work with this feeder.) And a specific problem with this feeder, for cat food, was it took about 10 minutes to set the hopper each time the morsel shape of the food changed (to unplug it from the timer, move it away from the cat, and actually set, test, reset, and retest the amount dropped). And to set the feeder, it required a high level of precision, since one tiny movement of the setting, altered the amount of food it would drop dramatically. Then, once I set the feeder with the precision of a watch maker, the amount of food dropped each feeding was inconsistent. I was required to set with precision, but the feeder dropped within a range of amounts. Generally, by the end of the week, I liked to think each feeding averaged out to the correct amount (of a 1/2 cup per day).

I also found that when the hopper was full/near full or it had 20% or less left in the hopper, it dropped out a lot more than it was set to drop. When it was only 20% full, the feeder ran the risk of dropping every morsel of food remaining in the hopper. I just learned to keep it 20% or more full. When it was full or near full, the weight of the food in the two-piece high hopper seemed to push a greater amount of food out (than it was set to drop).

The feeder did work, in that the cat could not get into it, it fed her sufficiently, and within a week of owning the feeder, the cat learned the feeder fed her and not us, so she quit waking us up daily at 4AM for 8AM breakfast or aggressively begging for food and annoying us 2 hours before dinner daily. The feeder did separate us from the food in the cats' mind, which made our lives unbelievably better. The last year we had the feeder with her, our lives improved tremendously. Glad we bought it.

I wasnt sure if i should purchase this pump or not but decided to and worked out great. i lower the flow rate while feeding so my fish have a chance to eat. After 5 or 10 min i turn it back full blast and it circulates all the water very fast. The only issue i have with it is that it is a little noisy but I dont mind it since the fish tank is in the living room and not in my bedroom. Also the fittings that come with it does not work well so what i ended up doing was buying some fittings from HomeDepot to screw into the return end to get a tighter fit which at about $3 each but a simple fix. I would buy it again if they go out in the long run

Great pump; does the trick. If you are concerned about the noise factor, it tends to hum a little louder if it's sitting on the bottom of something I rigged up a suspension mechanism so the pump is more or less 'floating' in the water. Very strong pump I have a ball valve in the hose leading to the tank and have it open less than 1/2 way.

We recently bought a 55 gal tank off craigslist and it came with a Fluval filter, having one on our other tank we knew what was missing when we went to set it up. So rather then having 55gal of fish water shooting up the wall and onto the floor (yes that had to happen first before we decided this little guy was rather important) we did the mad scramble to find this part. this place was the cheapest (other then i needed it the next day so amazon made sure i paid for that convenience). I mean the part is what it is, it holds the tube in the tank nothing fancy no ponies will shoot out, your fish Won't dance because of it, However i don't want to kill my husband when i get up in the morning to find the living room flooded So i suppose it does prevent divorce and homicide.

I am a long time FLUVAL user. Have been using 205 for about 4.5 yrs. After it stopped working, I upgraded to 305 and have been using it for 6 years. Both models have been the work horse that keep my 70 gallon aquarium crystal clear for 10 years. I can tell you that while I was using 205, I constantly think about a better way to keep the hose neatly curled to the tank wall . . . I had a peace of mind for 6 years once I upgraded to 305 as it came with these brackets.

Well, I now upgrade from aquarium to outdoor 300 gallon fish tank. I bought Rubber Maid stock tank. Although I design a new pump and filter system that is adequate for the size and fishes. I continue to use FLUVAL 305 as a supplemental filter . . well primarily because I want to use the strong jet stream to keep that surface water moving. To my pleasant surprise, these brackets also fit with Rubber Maid tank. it just happened that I accidentally break the top cover of these brackets recently that I need to order the replacements (I tried different ways, but nothing work better than this bracket).

I found the replacement parts from PETSMART to be the best (price $6.99 each + shipment charge). Although it is for 304, but checking with Fluval.com, it appears to use the same ribbed hose size etc. Sorry, AMAZON sellers, I just don't understand why this simple plastic bracket will be sold for this quoted price here plus outrages shipping charge.

Small World® Filter Units & Replacement Cartridges for Small Tanks

I first discovered these a few years ago when I got a 19-cent goldfish at the pet store. I was determined to give him/her a long life, but I didn't want to invest in a whole big aquarium layout. I knew that an unfiltered bowl was a recipe for disaster so I tried this.

It's a terrific system. The little filter attaches to an inexpensive pump you buy separately. Suction cups hold the filter in place inside a bowl of your choosing. The filter is pretty small so I wouldn't recommend a tank that's much larger than 2 or 3 gallons. I am also not sure this device would work on a spherical bowl -I THINK you need something with at least one flat side.

The filters are inexpensive and super super easy to swap out after a couple weeks' use.

This little feeder goldfish was one of my favorite pet experiences and I attribute his long life (four years!!!) to his healthy bowl.

I uploaded a video so you can see the size and hear the pump.

When we first won two goldfish for our two boys at a fair, we bought the bowl and rocks, but no filter. A week later, one of the fish died, even though I have been changing the water with filtered water.

Now that we have this filter, the fish have been very healthy and the water much clearer.

I still change the water out each weekend, and wash the rocks and inside of the bowl because it gets pretty slimy. So far the fish seem to be really happy.

The main con is the pump is a little noisy, hence four stars.

When I ordered a Filter replacement, I got the wrong product:

I needed the SWF-1C rectangular cartridge but I ordered from ToysNGames and received the SWF2C cylindrical instead.

I highly recommend this for a small 2 gallon fishbowl to help keep the water clear instead of having your fish swim in stagnant water.

Each time I switch out the water, I have to rinse the filter case as well since there is a layer of slime? The white filter part turned tan after about 3 weeks.

I change the water with carbon filtered water every week and add some water treatment.

So far, my comet goldfish has been pretty happy.

Again, the correct replacement filter needed is the SWF-1C

Handy little filter for my fishbowl. Keeps the bowl real clear even with a live plant inside. I have it clipped onto the top of my bowl with my own clip because it's designed for a flat walled aquarium. Also the pump is a navy blue, not teal as in the picture, which I like better.

I got this from PetCo nearby, and chose it from among the options there because:

1) it's easy to read

2) has both F and C readings (I want my 7-yo daughter to learn about both scales)

3) i like the idea of a thermometer that sits in the water instead of one that's stuck to the outside of the glass

I have an Aqueon 20-gallon aquarium, and I was worried when I bought it that it wouldn't fit on the lip of the tank. I was right! The lip of the tank, with its black plastic trim, is too wide for this thermometer to hang there.

However, I found the perfect place to put it, using the black plastic lid that came with the aquarium. The back corner of the lid has a slot cut out of it (I imagine for routing a power cable), and this thermometer hangs perfectly through that slot.

Tetra Cube Aquarium Kit, 3-Gallon

The Tetra Cube Aquarium Kit is a great starter aquarium. The tank is essentially a cube made of lightweight but good quality plastic that looks great and is just the right size to be noticeable without taking up too much space. The only downside to the aquarium is that the included in tank filter is really not effective. The filter essentially uses the included air pump to push bubbles through an intake which also forces water into the filter and then through a filter cartridge. The design is simple but the end result is only basic filtration. Fortunately the notched lid easily accommodates the Azoo Mignon external filter AZOO Mignon Filter 60 which works very well to keep the tank clean without the costly filter cartridge replacements.

I purchased this tank for my beautiful half moon betta Samuri, his gold mystery snail pal, & his newest pal as of yesterday an african dwarf frog. The mini bow 2.5 light is directly over the filter cartridge, which A) caused extreme algea blooms very quickly rendering the filter cartridge useless in only a weeks time & B) since the light is directly over the filter the whole tank is not properly lit up. Way too much of a design flaw more me. Then I was leaning toward the fluval spec 3, but its $70, & only 2.5 gallons. I just couldnt justify that kind of money for just 2.5 gallons. I was weary about this tank because i feel tetra products are cheap. It is cheaply made, but it looks very nice. The LEDs are suprisingly bright! The "whisper" filter is decent so far. More of a dull hum, with a soft like rain effect from the bubbles. I set it up about 24 hours ago. My betta has been happily swimming around, & the african dwarf frog is lazily sleeping on the mystery snail (lol). The betta likes the bubbles from the filter. Idk if i will keep the filter i havent decided yet. All depends on how often i have to change the catridge. The tank looks 3 gallons (sometimes it says 3 gallons, but it will only hold 2.5). The black base is cheap but doesnt look too bad at all. The lid is pretty thin. Im just going to be extra careful too not drop it, im sure it would crack easily. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase, and so are my pets!

When I first set up this tank, I was thrilled with how it looked vis-a-vis the lights and "magnified" appearance. I bought it for my betta before I had the opportunity to read too much about aquarium set ups, maintenance, etc. Initially upon setting this system up, I had a problem with the filter, which came with no instructions. I didn't know which way the filter should face -with the wood back facing the back of the tank and the substance facing the water or vice versa. Turns out it doesn't matter -the water doesn't flow through the filter, it simply bubbles to the top. I sent an inquiry to Tetra -nothing. So, the filter doesn't work as it should and my tank is very dirty in just 3 days. Then, when I was looking around Amazon some more, I saw this same tank in the 5-gallon version for less money than the 3 gallon! I would have so much rather had bought the 5 gallon. Be warned ... the footprint of this is very small; the tank goes up, not sideways. You can't really see your fish from a few feet away. I have since bought ghost shrimp and one is giving birth right now (I finally segregated her to try and save the babies after numerous were eaten). I wish I had a bigger tank!

I do like the tank itself, it's very pleasing to the eye and great to keep betta fish. What I dislike about it is the filter...too noisy and the outflow is too strong for a betta IMO, hence the 4 stars. I just ordered a second one of these tanks along with the new filter that I love to go with it. Of course not everyone would be willing to do this as it isn't cost effective, but since I keep multiple bettas, having these set up side by side looks great and I much prefer them over keeping a larger tank with those ugly mesh dividers...it also eliminates any danger of any one of my fish jumping the divider and contamination of any possible parasites/diseases. The lighting is great and maintenance is a breeze...of course you do need to be careful because plastic/acrylic tanks do tend to scratch easily...but filter aside, for my needs, these are very nice little tanks!

This small tank is very attractive and well suited to small fish species. The LED light is not very strong but accentuates the fish colors well. I noticed that some had been critical of the filter that comes with the tank but I was impressed with its simplicity and effectiveness I think it is necessary to install it with the top spout just above the surface of the water. I suspect that those who have complained installed the filter in a fully submerged position.

Background: 75 DT, 40 Sump, mixed reef tank, sofies & LPS running 6 months. I purchased this item, because I didn't want to worry about dosing large amounts of Ca and Alk to my tank. This item was a little more expensive than other solutions, however it did exactly what I needed. I started dosing small amounts until I reached full saturation. My Ca now stays at 500 and Alk stays at 9dKH. This is a great way to automate dosing as I dose this product into my ATO, and I let it do the rest. I do have a bit of evaporation due to having a couple fans in place, but so far it has kept my Ca & Alk consistent which is what you want and need in this hobby. Now that I know about bulk solutions, I probably would not buy this next time, however for someone wanting to test the effects of kalk on their system before buying big bulk quantities, I highly recommend this product.
