I have been using algae wafers in my fish feeding routine for 15 or so years. I have found a little algae is typically very healthy for the fish not to mention the fish enjoy the tablets tremendously. The wafers are a bit thicker than many of the wafers I have used in the past. The thickness makes the wafer harder to break apart but easier to keep whole when the wafer begins to soften in the tank. Both the omnivores and carnivores in my tank will greedily accept the wafers without prejudice. My current tank has some big cichlids and catfish and I have proudly watched them grow to almost unmanageable sizes. The New Life Spectrum Algae wafer has a good balance of nutrients and fish love to eat them, as long as those two criteria are met, I am going to use this product.
