Pet Kelp Skin and Coat Formula

I have a 7 year old Beagle who has suffered his whole life with severe seasonal skin allergies. Hot spots would start to develop in spring when things began to bloom and last until the end of fall/early winter when things start to die off and freeze over. There were a couple of times when he had to go on antibiotics for infections caused by itching and chewing so much.

I started giving him Pet Kelp Skin & Coat a couple of months ago and I am happy to say that we are nearing the end of May, things are blooming like crazy and NO HOT SPOTS. Not one. He is blissfully unaware that the pollen is exploding around him. He spends half the day outside rolling around in the grass and then sleeps through the night without a care.

I am relieved. I was at my wits end trying to come up with new ways to keep him comfortable during (his) worst parts of the year. I hated taking him to the vet to be shaved, cleaned and medicated. This is, (for us), a great product. I don't know what I would have done if it hadn't been effective. I've tried just about everything else.

Not once did my pet not want to eat his food with the kelp on it. After about 1 month, he stopped biting at himself and he's coat is so shinny.

I went to manufacture in they would not sell this item. So I bought it here instead. Great light I needed replacement light the oem one was burning out anyway.

this blue led light does a great job. the only thing i do not like is how it mounts to the tank. i finally figured it out. yes i would buy this light.

I would only recommend this is if you already have a tank at home that you want to convert or you want a 11-15 gallon tank. Otherwise I would buy a kit (glofish 10 gallon) instead, because If you were to buy everything separately (aquarium, canopy,filter and led lights) you will end up spending a bit more. And personally I think the glass canopy looks very nice that came with my my glofish 10 gallon kit.

But the light is bright and highlights my glofish nicely.

This product likely saved the life of my fish. I have a 55 gallon with 5 goldfish, and the water had grown increasingly cloudy for weeks. This product rocks. It brough down the Nitrates and Nitrites in my tank to normal levels within 48 hours. This gave me the needed time for water changes in my fish tank. Fish much more lively and healthy looking after I got the bad levels down. Need to monitor levels more often.Great product and it is rechargeable.

This product is very handy to have if you have an unexpected ammonia buildup in your fish tank. It's easy to recharge. Be sure to order the right size for your tank.

The idea behind it is great. Whats not in the description is the fact you have to recharge it in the begining every couple days to couple weeks before you get to the once a month. The recharge requires you to take it our of your filter and soak it in aquarium salt water for a couple hrs. I find it easier to just add salt to my aquarium. I have one and will recharge it because of that but will not replace when its required.

Finnex Ray2 Aquarium LED Daylight, 16-Inch

This is a great led light. Slim profile allows it to be installed into a light hood. My biggest gripe with this light is, the led's do NOT span the full width of the light.

The led spread is only 10.5 inches of the 16 inches, ie, there is much space in which there are no LED's. There is 34% of unlighted area, of the 16". So, the next question you ask, is this normal with LED lights to have much of the light without LED elements? The 24" version of this light has pretty much full 24" coverage, ie, the LED's span the full 24". It truly bedazzles me why Finnex chose to leave 34% of the 16" light fixture unlighted.

Note, with LED lights, they do not have much light spread, thus, unless you suspend the light way above your tank, you will not get any more light spread than the led element width. Thus, if you plan to use this light to light a planted freshwater tank, do not expect to plant more than 11 inches wide of plants.

As such, we returned this light for the 24" version.

If you are new to planted freshwater tanks and are doing research on what is the best lights to get, you can look up theplantedtank.net which has great non-commercial information on planted tank lighting.

Fresh out of the box, and not even a week old, this is an amazing light. HUGE upgrade over my old T8 fixture. Visual spectrum is very good, and so far my plants seem to like it, though it's a bit early to tell on that one. Runs at a good temperature (slightly warm to touch, but nowhere near warm enough to need to worry about) and has excellent light spread. I do wish they had something a little better than plastic screws to secure the legs to the tank wall, said legs seem to be designed mostly for "rimless" aquariums, and while they fit on mine alright, it could be better. Other than that one small design flaw, this is a stunning light brand new, and I intend to update this review in a month or two.

I was not happy to receive a 16" version with only 10.5" of LEDs. I exchanged it for a 24" and I'm very happy with the 24".

If you want the 16" width to clamp to the side of your tank, this may be good for you. If you actually want about 16" of LED lighting, look elsewhere.

General Finnex Ray2 Daylight info:

LED strip is about 1" wide per 8 LEDs. Product description shows the number of LEDs. This may be important to you because 16" version only has 10.5" of LEDs. The 30" version has the exact same LED strip as the 24" version.

Obtain the number of LEDs from the product description and divide by 8 to obtain width of LED strip.

Great upgrade for my Fluval Spec V, if I could turn it on slowly with a dimmer it would ease the shock for my frogs, the fish and shrimp don't mind though.

Pet Buddies PB1703 Googlie Dolly Duck Large Toy

I received this as a gift and must say that as large as this is, didn't think my dogs would want to play fetch with this. Wrong. There's something about the thick rubber and the squeak, although after two months the squeak just died today. One of my GSDs continues to bite and chew on this. The seam so far has been holding but the paint is coming off the lips and eyes. The tail "feathers" have been chewed off but this thing still bounces and my dogs still want to play with this thing. It's gotten a lot of use out of it!

So, if you have a GSD or a dog that is a constant chewer, be prepared for a short life span of maybe two months. But as long as the seams are intact the dogs may continue to play with this.
