I recently bought this product for my 150 Gallon aquarium, before I used this, I was using a smaller Cleaner, from walmart, and would have a very difficult time getting it to clean my aquarium. The Walmart Magnets where not as powerful and would fall off. But this Product is most excellent. The Magnets are very powerful, so much so that I smashed My Fingers with it once,and bruised them up so buyer beware, keep this product away from children!! As it can cause severe pain if your fingers get caught in the middle of the powerful snapping magnets while they Attract. Its perfect for Large Aquariums I recommend this product to all aquarium keepers!!

You shouldnt have an aquarium without one of these. Especially a reef tank to scrape off coraline and algae from the glass.

I wasn't sure what I could expect but this item really works well. It's super powerful! I can make it follow the one from the outside to switch sides and you can really feel it pull. I use it on my 75 gallon. I would be careful though toward the bottom of your tank only because if you catch any gravel you'd definitely scratch your tank.

This clever design maximizes the CO2's exposure to the water on two surface planes. It's a very simple process but it works effectively. And my aquaforest plants do quite well with it.

I think the previous reviewer didnt quite understand how CO2 and water intermix. Tiny bubbles under pressure are not the only way for water to absorb CO2

I obtain my tank's CO2 from a reactor using simple sugar and yeast. It does not supply the high pressure found in CO2 cannisters, and therefore requires a diffuser like this that doesnt need much pressure. This diffuser is ideal for such CO2 sources. I can easily recommend it.

Given that I purchased this item to replace a real ceramic diffuser that broke on me, once I received this in the mail I quickly learned that this product is an over glamourized cup with a hole in it. The picture and description is misleading and a 29 cents cup would do a better job.

This product does not allow for any water flow to interact with the CO2 that collects in the (upside down) cup so the CO2 levels in the tank are seen to drop after about 2 days of operation.

For the newbees...don't bother, get a real ceramic diffuser and you will enjoy the results better than this clumbersome device.

It's a cup reversed upside down to hold the gas stuck underwater and overflows to the higher cup once the below one becomes full to double the surface of CO2 interfacing with water.. In face you can even cascade more than two cups as you grow depending on you aquarium height

It is ideal for yeast co2 users as no pressure at all is required while I have a co2 pressurized tank to I use a bubble diffuser at the bottom of the tank while hanging this fluval cup above it near the middle or top of the water to catch the un dissolved bubbles before reaching the surface and get wasted. In face I was quite surprised how much of co2 I can dissolve within couple of hours with this product that in face were getting wasted to the surface

Plants are enjoying ang growing like crazy and for the first time ever I will start trimming my plants soon

Does not diffuse Co2 as stated. It more likes catches the Co2 and holds it under water until it releases out the sides and gets wasted.

Bought this to try out for my DIY c02. I tried the ceramic diffuser and the DIY bottles don't produce enough pressure to use it effectively. This is essentially a bulky plastic cup that's upside down. The box claims it's ideal for nano aquariums...FALSE. it looks bulky in even a 10 gallon.

The biggest downside of this plastic cup is the NOISE. once enough co2 is trapped under it will let out a big air bubble and that thing is loud. I'm now currently waiting on a nano glass diffuser i ordered off ebay for 5 dollars

Submersible Heaters

I wish I could give this product a worse score than 1 star. Purchased this heater from Wal-mart in a pinch because the heater that came with the aquarium broke (was a very cheap one) and I didn't want the temperature to drop since it was winter. Kept an eye on the thing for the first few weeks of having it and everything seemed to be ok. This week the dumb thing short circuited because it got water inside somehow and continually heated the tank. I discovered this when I got home from work. I noticed unusual behavior in a frog I had in the aquarium. On further inspection my other frog was already dead on the bottom of the tank and the water was almost 100 degrees F. The frog that was still alive was just floating in the current from the filter and had a bad fungal infection that had sprouted up overnight. Removed him to a treatment tank and did what we could but the poor guy didn't make it. This is a horrible product. I would not recommend this to anyone and I wish I hadn't bought the product because I lost 2 very dear pets.

I have purchased 3 of these Tetra Heaters in the past 5 months, and all of them have quit. The warranty only allows you to pay shipping both ways, either to fix yours, or they will send another one. I do not want any more of these Tetra heaters, and am looking for another brand. I wouldn't waist your money.

I bought this heater (from WalMart)last week for my 5 gallon tank. When I first put it in the tank the red light came on. After maybe a minute or so the light turned off. I wondered whether or not it was heating the water...

After a couple days I moved the heater to my 10 gallon tank. The light did not come on, even after unplugging and replugging it. It's been in this tank for about three days, and the light hasn't come on. The temperature has actually dropped a few degrees since being in this tank. I will be returning it to the store as soon as possible.

I was researching on a good heater for a 1.5gal fish tank, and I came across the Tetra submersible HT 10. It fits very well into the tank, and the heater maintains a constant temperature at 76F. I am satisfied with this heater. However, you cannot change the temperature setting. It has been 3 months since i bought this heater, and i have no complaints yet. The light came to me well packed by seller..after support foam for bulbs was removed just plug in!! My corals love this light! They hated the led from marinelife i was using.. Too harsh?no ac blue... This light also has a covered switch so salt cant get to it... Only 1issue... Use better screws(brass maybe) so they dont strip out with removal and replacement..definately a lite to look at for low-med light corals and high if you have closer to surface....

The picture is clearly misleading. It shows the filters for the replacement kit, but what you see, sure as heck isn't what you get. I used the picture as a guide as to what would be included in the order, but all I got was a huge box with a tiny piece of foam that wasn't worth 10 cents, much less than $10. What gives? Either my order was incomplete, or they posted the wrong pic in the description. Considering the size of the box and the amount of packing material, I have to wonder.

Either way, I returned the item in the same huge box they sent it in.

Does the job, easy to clean. Works well with my prefilter on my pump to clean the water after it goes through the UV.

Tetra Half Moon Bubbler, 3-Gallon

Given what I paid and what this products comes with, I really can't complain too much. This product is a good deal, but is not for someone who wants a good quality tank and is willing to pay extra for it (since I am using for a single Betta, I did not want to spend a ton). I bought this product locally and I quickly looked inside the box to make sure everything look untouched and brought it home. I should have looked more closely... after starting to set up the aquarium I noticed the lid was cracked... then I noticed the top of the tank was also cracked. Annoyed, I went back to the store and closely inspected the 4 remaining boxes, and 2 of those tanks were also cracked in the same top corner, and the other boxes were opened by previous customers. after inspecting all of the parts I managed to put together a complete and unbroken set.

Now perhaps these cracks were due to mishandling, but that asidethe plastic is pretty thin and appears brittle (particularly the lid), and this will not take much trama before cracking. Keep this in mind if you plan on moving it around from time to time. I also inspected the 3 gallon cube by the same companythe lid was made of the same stuff but the tank itself seemed to be thicker plastic. That tank has white overhead LEDs instead of the colors and bubbles, and the shape is a cube (obviously) and not as tall or as narrow as this 'half moon' shape. It was a toss up, but I went with the half moon for the colors my daughter wanted and shape.

Everything in the box seemed to be fine upon first set up, although everything seems on the 'cheap' side. I agree with the other reviewer... the most annoying thing is the color lights/bubbler unit wants to float even after weighting with gravel/stones. It took some manuevering to stabilize that component. The good thing is that the bubbler/filter speeds are quite adjustable by dials that control the air coming from the air pump, which is good given that Bettas don't like a lot of water movement.

Once setup it looks pretty nice (and looks nicer if you have fish that will tolerate the bubbler on higher settings as this makes the tank more colorful). Hopefully it lasts.

This tank is amazing! My half moon Betta fish loves his mansion, and has been swimming all over his new crib for 3 weeks now. Plenty of space for him to swim. Extremely easy set up. The tank is a perfect half cylinder shape that makes your Betta fish easy to view from all angles. I highly recommend purchasing a tank heater because the tank is 3gallons the temperature would be best regulated by a heater. The bubbler also provides another toy for my fish to swim through he loves it. Of course the colors are BEAUTIFUL!! the subtle sound of the filter with the bubbler and the colors provides a very soothing environment and conversation piece. At night the lights in the tank project a flowing color changing image on my ceiling. This product is perfect. CAUTION! follow the instructions for water changes to a science, if you add too little or too much water when cleaning the tank the nitrogen cycle occurring already in the tank water will get messed up, causing your tank to become murky, and could rot your fish's fins. Follow the easy instructions and you should be fine though.

I purchased two of these aquariums for two betta fish my children own. I use only reverse osmosis water along with Nutrafin Betta Plus and Betta Bowl plus when out of the Nutrafin. This uses the Small filter cartridge.

I love that you can adjust the flow of the water coming out of the filter. You can also adjust the air bubbler. There are two valves for each of the tubes. I run both on low for the Betta's well being. I still need to get a mini heater, though. This kit is a great introductory kit for anyone wanting a betta fish.

The betta fish swim alot more in this 3 gallon aquarium than in the Marina .5 gallon tank. I added live plants and bright gravel. We also added a colorful marine paper background, purchased from a local pet store, to give a very beautiful view, instead of just looking straight through it.

The LED lights are beautiful to look at. At first, submerge, entirely, the LED saucer-type device completely under gravel and let the air bubbles blow at medium rate. After two hours, carefully remove the gravel to reveal the LED lights. Otherwise, the LED saucer-type device will just want to keep flying up to the surface. I guess it needs air to be blown into it for a few hours to get settled. I unplug the LED lights at night so the fish can sleep. The air bubbler is still plugged in. The filter has its' own AC adaptor as well. I'm hoping that with a 15-20% water change every week I will only need to change the filter every three weeks. With baby bettas use betta flake food; with large, adult bettas use betta pellets. The flow of the water from the filter does not throw either type of food violently all over the surface.

I really think that using reverse osmosis water (purchased for $1.50 [for 5 gallons] at a water kiosk close to the grocery store) contributes to the success of keeping the fish healthy, as well.

I purchased this tank for my little betta who was too big for his 1 gallon, non filtered tank. The first time I ordered the Tetra Half Moon Bubbler, the tank was cracked, but Amazon sent another within two days (so it's a good idea to inspect this as soon as you get it). It's really beautiful when it's all lit up, I just wish the 'bubbler' itself would stay in place! Piling gravel on top of it helps a little bit, but if you try to move the tank or lift the lid off, the 'bubbler' comes loose again and floats to the top. A suction cup on the bottom would've been a great idea, but alas, Tetra hasn't thought of that yet.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this aquarium and filter set. I have had tanks all my life, and this one was a snap to set up. My one quibble with it is the colored light bubbler, however. Although the light it projects is really nice (and it makes the room look pretty at night), the design is a little awkward with the cord coming out of one side. As a result, the bubbler refuses to stay buried, no matter how much gravel I heap onto the edges. Otherwise, a very good product.
