Fluorescent Lamp - 6,700K - 18W - 30 in. - T-5

Fluorescent Lamp - 6,700K - 18W - 30 in. - T-5This replaced a lamp in my 30" Coralife fixture. It is paired with a an older 6700K in the fixture. It is providing enough light for my plants to grow beautifully in my freshwater aquarium.

While these are expensive, they are the only bulk that I have found for this size. It has worked perfectly.

The replacement light is fine. I am disappointed that the original bulb had to be replaced so soon. We will see how long this one lasts.

Laguna Multi Hose Adapter, 1/4 to 1-Inch

Laguna Multi Hose Adapter, 1/4 to 1-InchPerfect for what I needed. I had trouble finding this in hardware stores. I had to connect a half inch hose to 3/8th. Seems simple enough. But had to find it here on Amazon. Fairly priced.

This item arrived quickly in outstanding condition, and does exactly what it promises. It connects different size hoses and does not leak, even after repeated movement and attachments to different devices. An outstanding value!

these require hose clamps but none are included. they should include them with the package!! Otherwise they fit the hose well.

This is a pretty straight forward product. Its pretty durable compared to others I have seen. It is what it is!

The tiered fitting is not tapered and ends up leaking no matter what is done. Very poor design that does not seal properly, even with tape under it and double clamped over. Waste of money.

Seio P320 Prop Pump with Magnet Mount, 320 GPH

Seio P320 Prop Pump with Magnet Mount, 320 GPHThe pump works quietly and moves a reasonable amount of water I suppose. I have it in a small 10 gallon salt tank used as a quarantine tank. It would take 2 of these pumps to support a 20 gallon properly. I doubt its 320 gph rating. It would mean its turning this little tank over 32 times per hour. I don't think so. It probably is putting out 190 to 200 gph. The water output is okay for my needs in this case though.

However the mounting system leaves something to be desired. Because the heavy power cord exits the rear of the motor housing, it cannot be mounted on the side of the tank if the powerhead is pointed so it blows lengthwise in the tank. It must be mounted on the rear wall of the tank and the powerhead has to be turned 90 deg. Even when you do that if you don't let the power cord go straight back for 6 to 8 inches before turning up and out the top of the tank, the stiffness of the cord overpowers the magnet mount and the powerhead points downward. This causes a sandstorm, and messes up your tank. I realize this is a $15 product, but their entire line of powerheads have this shortcoming. It would not be expensive to redesign the power cord so it wouldn't cause this problem.

The magnetic mount is a vast improvement over a suction cup method of retaining the pump to the wall of the tank. Hydor Korilla uses a magnetic mount that also incorporates a large suction cup. It does cost $25-$30 though. I would think Seio could incorporate a suction cup into the magnetic mount without doubling the cost of the unit.

I know it sounds like I'm knitpicking, but you only want a powerhead for one thing--move water in a controlled manner. Because of the mounting shortcomings, one is limited in the amount of control they have over the water movement direction. It does move water efficiently and quietly. And it is more controllable than most of the powerheads in this price range, but I'll spend the extra $10 to $15 next time, and buy another Hydor Korilla 425.

An excellent pump for the money, the Seio Taam p320 delivers excellent flow over a wide area to keep your fish and or corals happily blowing in the current. At 320 gph flow is non adjustable and the pump is easily diassembled for maintenance and cleaning. Perhaps one of the heaviest power cords on any pump out there, it may be a bit cumbersome and tends to redirect and move the pump until a good bend is achieved where it exits the aquarium. Magnetic mount works well on small aquariums but still seems a bit weak. Overall an excellant choice for the nano reefer wanting good flow on a small tank.

Buy Seio P320 Prop Pump with Magnet Mount, 320 GPH Now

I got this for my 14g nano cube because it appeared to be small and compact. I like having the magnet on the outside of the glass, it makes it easier to move around. The first day/night everything was cool, the flow was decent and I didnt really hear anything. Day 2 the pump sounded like something had broken, it was making a loud grinding sound and I couldnt get it to stop. Although a nice design and somewhat compact and good for small tanks, I think its made with cheap parts. If you dont mind the loud noise and want to save a few bucks buy it, but youre probably better off getting a korilia.

VIP Products Mighty Paisley Piglet Jr. Farm Dog Toy, Pink

VIP Products Mighty Paisley Piglet Jr. Farm Dog Toy, PinkI have an adult Rottweiler and she is pretty notorious for going through even the toughest toys in a matter of minutes. I bought the regular size pig and Leopard and she ripped and destroyed them both in a under 3hrs. While they are not completely durable, I gotta say I've never seen her enjoy a toy more. The large size of the toy is appealing to her, so this is a toy to get for maybe a medium or smaller breed, or a dog that isn't a big chewer!

Bought the full size Pig from Petco for my beagle and ordered this Jr. version for my maltese.

It lasted a couple of days until the beagle realized that the nose was a weak point and ripped it open.

If it was constructed wholly of the same tough material throughout I believe it would be a long lasting product as the full size pig and elephant that I have from VIP.

API Algaefix Marine, 8-Ounce

API Algaefix Marine, 8-OunceI always let some mornnig sunlight into my tank to help the plants but after a while the tank water turned so green I couldn't see through one side of the tank to the other. After using this product the algae was completly gone, really fast, in a few hours and the tank was crystal clear and my plants and fish are just fine. I used a small amount and haven't had to use any since.

Good product, does as advertised!

Pros

Controls algae! Cleaned up my tank, could see a difference after the first dose, not only hair algae, but nuisance Fern-like algae as well. I did not experience any Red Slime Algae issues that many reviewers experienced.

Cons

Some of my soft corals have had negative effects; my cabbage coral hasn't opened since the first dose over a month ago. My buttery yellow toadstool coral that used to have green tips is now 2 different shades of brown.

I stopped dosing a few weeks back, and hoping the corals recover.

I fault myself for dosing too long, as I've read it's best to dis-continue after a month of dosing.

Like the title states. Does what it advertises, but a few trade offs.

Jardin Plastic Fish Tank Aquarium Plant Décor with Ceramic Base, 5-Piece, Red Green

Jardin Plastic Fish Tank Aquarium Plant Décor with Ceramic Base, 5-Piece, Red GreenI waited weeks for this to get in stock because I knew I wanted this color combination, and it did not disappoint. These are beautiful in the water. When you turn your tank light on they look absolutely amazing. If you have a red ornament in your tank like I do, it really makes things pop.

The quality of the plants is good, and the bases are weighted enough to keep the plant down by itself. You will not find this color combination in this style of plant anywhere else, and the price is good, around a dollar and some change each. I recommend you buy this item. Since it comes with 5 in a pack it is really ideal.

Farm Innovators P-500 Premium Cast Aluminum Submergible Pond De-Icer, 500-Watt

Farm Innovators P-500 Premium Cast Aluminum Submergible Pond De-Icer, 500-WattI have a 35 gallon plastic container that I use as a patio pond. I keep a couple of goldfish in it. The Patio Pond

De-icer works well with this small container.I have had sucess with my fish surviving through the winter. I cut back my hardy plants, dropping them to the bottom of the container and they survive the winter as well without freezing. The only draw back is that the ring will get deposit build-up and needs to be cleaned peroidically.

I have had three of these heaters. They work fine for two seasons then they short and blow the GFI.

Every spring they are coverd with slime and crud that takes scrubbing with a wire brush to clean.

I need to find something that lasts.

that there seemed to be nothing to prevent water from

infiltrating unit where cord entered handle.

This year I'll look for a less expensive solution so

that yearly replacement won't be so painful.

Petco River Rock Shallow Creek Aquarium Gravel, 5 lbs.

Petco River Rock Shallow Creek Aquarium Gravel, 5 lbs.So glad I found this! I was looking for gravel for my betta tank and did not want to use the typical smaller size gravel since I felt like it would be more of a hassle to remove from the tank to clean. For a while, it seemed like I had to decide between small gravel and huge river rocks---until I saw this at Petco. I am so happy with the size and the color perfectly matches the plants in my tank. Looks so much cleaner than the color of other gravels.

This is actually a mixture of different sizes with the largest being about 3/4" and the smallest being about 1/4".

I wasn't prepared for how large this "gravel" truly is. It is kind of attractive though for what it is.

Buy Petco River Rock Shallow Creek Aquarium Gravel, 5 lbs. Now

Sooo much nicer than small standard gravel..and easier to clean! I bought the 5lbsand put smaller gravel on the bottom, then layered the top with the larger river rocks.. My guppies ( probably don't care) love their new rocks! ( at least I pretend they have feelings toward these pretty rocks!)

Blue Ribbon Natural Driftwood Large

Blue Ribbon Natural Driftwood Largedon't buy this it is not what the picture represents!!! looks more like a tree branch than driftwood and you can actually see saw marks like it is part of a pruned bush. Its a 20 inch long stick.

I bought 2 of these Large 16"-20" chunks of wood and I am happy. I bought some from another place and was not happy with the Quality it was a low grade wood Chunks would fall off of it. BUT THIS ONE.... This is a good solid piece Great colour a high grade then others. Yes it looks nothing like the photo but DUH every piece of wood is different. I will post a photo of my pieces in my 80 Gal tank.

Its always best to pick out your own wood but I can never find any good size piece at the stores near me so I took a chance I'm happy I did and so are my Discus.

I do realize that all driftwood is different. That said, I do take issue receiving a piece of driftwood measuring 14 inches at longest point (classified as medium per Amazon's product description) while paying for a large piece of wood advertised as 20 to 26 inches. To top it off, the wood I received is unusable in an aquarium setting due to the fact that the center was extremely porous/ rotted with sharp edges and micro crevices that will slice any fish attempting to swim through. My wood does not look like pictures posted by other users, perhaps it is the reseller Two to Tango that is the issue?

Dymax IQ3 Acrylic Aquarium - Black

Dymax IQ3 Acrylic Aquarium - BlackI read mixed reviews so I thought I would share my experience. I've had the tank up and running for a week and I'm very happy. It's a salt water tank. I just put a damsel in to help cycle the tank. In a couple weeks I'm going to add some mushrooms. The key is to do a simple water change once a week and make sure you add carbon and Rowa every so often to absorb any toxins. The LED is functioning properly and the filtration is excellent so far. I'd rather have faster moving water rather than an under powered pump. If anything breaks or burns out prematurely I will update my review. Thanks for reading :)

Coralife Energy Savers ACL54090 Square Pin Bulb, 28w 6700k

Coralife Energy Savers ACL54090 Square Pin Bulb, 28w 6700kI've been using these Coralife bulbs for so long I could have powered Las Vegas for a day.

For some reason this one didn't last but a few months.

Typically I get years from a single bulb...

It's the right spectrum for my freshwater and the plants usually do well under it. This one died and I don't feel like forking over the cash for another.. going back to a plant-life-free tank on cheap flourescents.

Petco Pirate Skull Aquatic Decor

Petco Pirate Skull Aquatic DecorIf you have small fishes like mollies, guppies or zebras, BE CAREFUL and please read this.

Do not buy this item unless you're willing to spend an hour or two smoothing the inner edges. This ornament is made of a resin-like material, and it had several pointy edges on the inside which I was careful enough to notice. I had to take the proper time to slowly remove them with a sandpaper, which is very hard to do because the skull is tiny, even for a female finger.

It is not safe for aquariums with small fishes, so please consider you will have to spend extra time fixing the ornament before it can be danger-free for your beloved pets.

Elite 6-Inch Mini Thermostatic Heater

Elite 6-Inch Mini Thermostatic Heater, 25-WattBetter in than some, worse than others. The dial allows you to set the temperature and is good at keeping the temp. consistent which is great. However, aside from the actual heating is the construction. Because of its shape it will not work for a anything smaller than a 2.5 Mini Bow or for tanks w/o straight sides.

This is not because you can't control the temp. finely enough, but because the large mounting piece needs to be above water, outside of the tank and attached to a straight edge. While the package does say non-submersible, I didn't think there would be so much of it that wasn't submersible, and the thumbnail for this isn't helpful at all. The water line is also very high. You will have to keep a careful eye on evaporation.

Also, when the water temp. is close enough to cause the heater to shut off, there is a period of hesitation where the heater is almost on but not quite. When this happens, there is a buzzing sound. It reminds me of old horror movies when the characters turn on the bare bulb in the basement or in the defunct asylum.

I bought two of these because they were cheap and would seem like a good fit for my aquariums, a 5 gallon and a 10 gallon. There wasn't much information provided, which would have helped me out and kept me from buying it--it's not the kind I needed, or so I thought.

*Unfortunately it's not submersible. (I didn't realize not buying submersible would mean needing to reach a water line indicator.)

*This heater's range is 67 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Even though the range is low, when I had the heater on the first few hours, it got the 5 gallon tank water over 90 degrees. I've kept it in the 80's range as much as possible.

*It requires the tank to be full to cover the water line indicator (I'm breeding snails so I can't have the tank full if I want my snails to lay their eggs on the tank's glass, and if I want to keep them from escaping). The water line indicator also rises above my power filter, so I'll never be able to get the water to the height it's asking.

*The power cord is much shorter than I thought it would be. I had to get an extension cord to plug it in. The picture on the back of the packaging suggests to make a drip loop, but the cord is barely long enough to do that, and the top of the aquarium is only a couple feet, give or take, from the socket. Very inconvenient.

*It's only good for aquariums up to 5.5 gallons. I haven't tried my second heater in the 10 gallon yet, mostly because the cord is so short, and the tank is much farther from the socket.

*Temperature control knob seems really sensitive, and even turning the knob a quarter of an inch seems to cause the temperature to shoot up. But as soon as the desired temperature is attained, it will maintain.

Overall it's a decent product especially considering the price. I was surprised and thankful it worked so far outside of its range.

Buy Elite 6-Inch Mini Thermostatic Heater Now

Seeing how there was just a dial and no numbers to see, it was kinda hard and just plain guesswork when I started to use it. I'd scroll the dial to the left and wait awhile(just to make sure it wasn't on high setting already and fry my fish), and then scroll the dial to the right little by little. This took a span of a couple days before I finally got felt some heat coming from the water. I measured it by feeling the amount of warmth I got from it compared to my other aquarium that had its own heater and already set at 75F. So far it's been consistent and doesn't seem to fluctuate too much or at all in temperature. :) Nice buy I say!

Read Best Reviews of Elite 6-Inch Mini Thermostatic Heater Here

I don't know if this product is actually capable of heating the water correctly because it is very difficult to use and you have to have just the right set up. First of all, it has to hang on to the side of your aquarium, so this means that you either can't have a hood, or you have to have a hole in your hood large enough to accommodate the heater. The original aquarium I wanted to use it with didn't have that, so I didn't even try to use the heater with it.

Also, the heater has a minimum water level which is extremely high. You will have to keep the aquarium completely full to use it, which means often top offs to fight evaporation AND the risk of fish jumping if you can't use your lid due to the fact that there isn't a space for the heater.

Despite these two inconveniences, I recently bought a five gallon aquarium that I could use this heater with. I got it all set up and then unwrapped the cord . . . it's less than three feet long! Way too short to reach the plug from the top of the aquarium on top of a table.

So, if you have a small tank with a hood with the proper opening, the lip of the tank narrow enough to hold the heater, are diligent with your top offs, and have a nearby electrical outlet for the plug, then you might get this heater to work for you. I'm going to have to put this on the shelf and spend more money on a submersible heater with a decent length cord.

Want Elite 6-Inch Mini Thermostatic Heater Discount?

I didn't buy it from here but i got it from my local pet store. I have been using this in my 10 gallon tank for about a year now and it has not failed me yet. The temperature knob is very sensitive and touchy so it takes a little work to get the temperature set correctly. Other than that i have no complaints, it works great and has a great price.

Dog Mate Large Dog Door Brown

Dog Mate Large Dog Door BrownJust installed this weekend on door leading to garage. Dog door is a hassel to assemble and install. Too many parts to fit together, measurements to make, match fittings and cutting. Had to drill 8 holes, four for screws, another 4 for door cut (which had to be re-measured and marked within door template). 4 internal side panels had to be cut to fit, once inserted in one side of dog door had to be inserted in the door and matched all 4 panels simultanously to fit into the other half (matching all 4 pieces to fit 4 sides of opposing door a big hassel). Screws had to be cut to size, and finally bolted (which sounds easy but another hassel on this unit).

I completed without any errors however there are many opportunites to screw up. Once finished it's an ok unit. Door works well, I bought it for the solid plastic door. I would think there are other doors on the market with an updated design allowing for simpler installation. The puzzle design with all the matching pieces and cutting seems poorly conceived.

great quality and long-lasting. i have a multi dog household and it is used constantly. only thing that bothers me is that it is noisy, but you get used to it.
